[Music] [Music] I’m here with NLCS MVP Tommy Edmond World Series champion he just signed a contract extension with the Dodgers Tommy how are you doing today and how was your Thanksgiving it was great you know got some good quality family time ate a lot of Turkey um and obviously had the uh great day yesterday with finding out I’m gonna be here for another five years and you found out yesterday and today you’re giving back to the community signing some jerseys signing some autographs here at cardboard Legends what does it mean to you to meet fans today especially after such a special day yesterday yeah you know it’s great um obviously I’m since I’m be here another five years you know I’m I’m looking forward to getting to know the Dodgers fans a little bit more and um you know and thank them for their support this year during our world series run you came up with the Cardinals you worked hard to move up in their system drafted in 2016 what was your reaction when you found out you got traded to the Dodgers I know you told Bill plunket that you didn’t think you were going to get traded cuz you hadn’t played a game yet in 2024 but how did you feel when you got that announcement yeah you know it’s it’s always a little bit weird getting traded um especially cuz I was with the Cardinals for eight years um but obviously I was very excited to becoming to the Dodgers organization um you know I admire the Dodgers from the outside for a long time just with all the success and the way they played the game um so I was really excited to come here and have another chance to to join a great organization and um and it turned out well you know Season could have G any better absolutely and obviously there’s been a lot of people saying that this Dodgers team has been a lot different than other Dodgers teams we’ve seen in the past of course you joined this one you don’t know what other ones were like but what teammates stood out to you as far as people that were giving you knowledge or people that you really connected with yeah I mean honestly I I don’t really know if I can single out any one guy just cuz so many guys were so great to me um you know I know a lot of guys talked about like getting traded mid-season it’s um it can be tough cuz you don’t know anybody but I felt welcomed right away felt like I I knew a bunch of guys um pretty much from the start um you know I’d actually played with Will Smith um in a College summer ball like 10 10 years ago um so get to reconnect with him was fun um you know and and when I was uh traded here I was injured so uh there were a few other guys who were on the injured list so uh mooki Muny me Miggy um CT so we all kind of like went through the um the rehab stuff together so um kind of getting to know those guys um in the first couple weeks was was really important for helping me get comfortable you guys won the World Series just over a month ago did you head into the offseason with extra initiative to get a deal done so you could secure your future with this team moving forward yeah no I I mean I I knew that I wanted to be here for a long time once I got traded here you know it’s just the ideal situation for myself and my family um so I was I was really excited when um I found out that they were interested in uh an extension as well um and I’m glad we got it done relatively early in the offseason of course and one last question Thanksgiving just passed but Christmas is right around the corner if you could go Christmas shopping with one of your Dodgers teammates who would it be and why Christmas shopping probably show cuz he’s got the most money there you go what what stores do you think he would take you to maybe one of these you know one of these right here what would you get you know we’re at carboard Legends what are you looking at what would you get from yeah I like these Pokemon cards over here I’m sure there’s some some pretty cool rare ones so there you go show if you’re listening to this you know what Tommy wants to do is Christmas Tommy thank you for your time really excited to have you here than ch
