here we are week 17 of the fantasy football season it’s the week of Christmas and fantasy championships are on the line now as much as I hope you have yourself a great Christmas we need fantasy championships and that’s why in today’s show we’re going through week 17 fantasy football rankings for the quarterback running back wide receiver and tight end positions now if you’re just looking for a certain position there are time stamps down below but we got good food to eat and presents to open so let’s dive right into the rankings starting off at the quarterback position let’s bring up tier one and when we do that we got the likes of Lamar Jackson Jaden Daniels Josh Allen Joe burrow Sam darnold bone Knicks and Baker Mayfield for Lamar Jackson he’s going up against Houston he’s the overall quarterback one on the year averaging over 25 fantasy points per game plus Baltimore is still fighting with Pittsburgh for the division we know that Lamar has multiple touchdown passes now in 10 of his last 12 games and Houston they allow the 12th most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position we know they’re way easier to throw on than run on so MVP Lamar at the top of the list then we go down to Jaden Daniels going up against Atlanta the overall quarterback four on the year and he scored over 23 fantasy points now in four straight games Washington still playing to win and Atlanta allows the seventh most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position how about Josh Allen going up against the Jets and if Kansas City wins on Christmas day that will lock up the number one seed for them and this game with Buffalo really doesn’t mean a whole lot now no they’re not just going to sit Josh Allen but maybe we see him pulled early in the second half especially if they have a decent lead but I will say this I would expect a very vanilla offense if that is the scenario as well now after Josh Allen we got Joe burrow going up against Denver and it’s not a great matchup for burrow but he does have seven straight games with at least three passing touchdowns T Higgins has already come out and said he will be on the field this is a must- win for Cincinnati now Denver does allow the seventh fewest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position however over the last month they have been torched by the likes of Justin Herbert and jamus Winston which then brings us down to Sam darnold going up against Green Bay and Minnesota is currently fighting with Detroit for the division and the number one overall seed Sam darnold has a career-high in passing yards and touchdowns this year and he torched Green Bay earlier in the year he also has multiple touchdown passes now in five of his last six so he’s at number five how about bone knck going against Cincinnati and no one expected this good of a year for B Knicks the QB nine overall on the season averaging over 18 fantasy points per game this is also a must-win situation for the Broncos to try and lock up a playoff birth and it’s a great opportunity to do it because Cincinnati allows the fourth most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position and then we round out tier one with Baker Mayfield going up against Carolina and Tampa Bay cannot lose another game now they may be without Kate auton and Sterling Shepard but this game is at home and baker has multiple touchdown passes thrown in five of his seven home games this season I’m expecting a whole lot of Mike Evans and Evans typically torches the Carolina Panthers now the Panthers are playing a little bit better here as of late which means this game could stay closer and Baker could be throwing all four quarters which will then bring us to tier two Tu a Tong of ioa Jared gof Brock py Kyler Murray Matthew Stafford Patrick Mahomes and Jordan love now for Tua he’s going up against Cleveland and he hasn’t been killing it here as of late but Miami remains in must-win territory and the drops by pass catchers are really hurting tua’s numbers really more than anything else plus he’s going against Cleveland this week and they’re way easier to throw on than run on plus there’s that opportunity that Jaylen waddle returns how about Jared Goff going up against San Francisco he’s still in a fight for the division and the number one overall seed he scored at least 23 fantasy points in his last three games and this Detroit offense is throwing a lot more with no David Montgomery in the back field I mean G’s last two games have been crazy he’s had over 800 yards passing and eight touchdowns in his last two games Alone Now San Francisco will be a tough matchup but the ceiling is just so high right now for Jared Goff how about Brock pie going up against Detroit his opponent in that game and San Francisco has been eliminated from playoff contention but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind trying to be the spoiler for Detroit now now Pie has struggled to play consistently but being that this is a home game and how Detroit stops the run I had to keep perie Verge top 12 how about Kyler Murray going up against the Rams and Kyler’s best game of the year was week two against these Rams it was the game that Marvin Harrison Jr just blew up now Arizona has been eliminated from the playoffs but they can sure spoil the chances of La the Rams though they allow the ninth most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position so Kyler Murray right here at number 11 number 12 his opponent in that game Matthew Stafford going up against Arizona and sure the Rams need to keep winning but Stafford has failed to throw for over 200 yards now in three of his last four games played this is a matchup he should do well in especially because it’s at home but with the struggles here as of late it’s hard for me to put him any higher than qb12 this week then we got Patrick Mahomes going against Pittsburgh a win on Christmas locks up the number one seed and KC can kind of rest a lot of their players over the next couple of weeks it’s not going to be easy though Pittsburgh allows the fourth Fest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position then we got Jordan love going up against Minnesota and they just can’t seem to get The Passing game on track in Green Bay it doesn’t help that Christian Watson continues to go out there and get hurt every single time he steps on the field now it’s a great matchup going up against Minnesota who’s much easier to throw on than run on but due to the struggles in Green Bay I got Jordan love at 14 the bottom of tier 2 which only leaves us tier three left where we have Bryce Young Anthony Richardson Justin her bear cuz you know I’m feeling Fancy on the week of Christmas then we got Caleb Williams Russell Wilson and Jaylen Herz now for Bryce young he’s going up against Tampa Bay and Bryce is the quarterback 12 overall over the last five weeks of the Season what a total turnaround this year for Bryce young he’s also had a rushing touchdown in three of his last four games played and scored 23 fantasy points in his last game against Tampa Bay just a couple weeks ago now obviously Carolina isn’t playing for anything but they do have a chance to make it pretty tough on Tampa Bay to get into the playoffs how about Anthony Richardson going up against the Giants and he continues to be a boom or bust play who’s really reliant on rushing touchdowns he hasn’t thrown for over 175 yards in a game over the last month of the season however he has rushing touchdowns in four of his last five so it’s definitely helping him now a matchup going up against the Giants they allow just over the league average and fantasy points per game to the quarterback position and Indianapolis needs to keep winning ball games as well how about Justin Herbert going up against the Patriots he had a great game against a tough Denver defense last week and the Chargers are another team that has to try to keep winning ball games the running game isn’t carrying this offense like it was earlier in the year and New England they allow almost 17 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position how about Caleb Williams going up against Seattle and Chicago really hasn’t had much to play for for weeks at this point but they’re still going out and throwing the ball a lot now Caleb has been a little a little bit more inconsistent here towards the end of the year but in a matchup going up against Seattle they’re kind of a middle of the road defense against opposing quarterback so he’s sitting right here at 18 how about Russell Wilson going up against Kansas City the biggest question mark here is whether or not he gets George Pickins back because Pittsburgh will struggle to run the ball against Kansas City and if he doesn’t have George pickings he may fall outside my top 20 for a guy like Aaron roders now estimated practice Reports say that George Pickins could be out there this week so that’s definitely something to pay attention to and then lastly I had to include Jaylen Herz because we’re going to get 825 comments about it yes he’s currently in the concussion protocol and at this time we do not know if he’s going to play or not now obviously Philadelphia still wants to win this game so if he clears the concussion protocol he’s going to jump all the way up to my qb4 overall on the week and I say that because Dallas allows the third most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position we just need to see if he clears I will say this though 60% of players who get a concussion typically Miss at least one week so he’s position to the running back spot now when we do that and bring up tier one we have the likes of saquin Barkley bejon Robinson Jamir Gibbs Derk Henry Kiren Williams Bucky Irving Jonathan Taylor and Chase Brown for saquan Barkley he’s going up against Dallas and he’s 267 yards away from the all-time record we also know that Jaylen Herz may miss this game with a concussion Philadelphia still in the hunt for the number one seed in fighting with Washington for the division they need to win this ball game and Dallas allows the ninth most fantasy points per game to the running back position how about bejon Robinson going up against Washington he’s the current rb4 overall on the season Atlanta another team out there fighting for the division with Tampa Bay and beon just scored over 23 fantasy points in his first game with Michael penck under Center in a matchup going up against Washington they allow over 20 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs then we got jir Gibbs going up against San Francisco no Monty means so much Gibbs he had a season High 27 touches last week now Detroit is still battling with Minnesota for the division and the number one seed in the NFC now San Francisco is much easier to run on and they allow over 22 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs then we got the king Derek Henry going up against Houston the current rb2 overall on the season but in a little bit of a touchdown drought right now has no touchdowns in his last four games Baltimore is just finding a ton of success in the passing game here as of late and it doesn’t help that Houston allows the fourth fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs but Baltimore needs to keep winning how about Kiron Williams going up against Arizona and Kiron has now had at least 110 total yards or a touchdown in each of his last four games played now he was held in check earlier in the year by Arizona but La is in a must-win situation and Kiren has scored a touch down in almost every single home game this season plus we got to remember that Arizona really has nothing to play for other than to be the spoiler I like Kiren Williams here got him at number five number six is Bucky Irving going up against Carolina and since taking on a bigger role in week six he is the rb13 overall in fantasy football he had 185 total yards and a touchdown against this Carolina team just a couple weeks back and we already know that the Panthers allow the most fantasy points per game to opposing run running back so Bucky up inside tier one at number six then we got Jonathan Taylor going up against the Giants and if he didn’t kill your playoff chances in week 15 by dropping a touchdown too early then he paid you back by winning you your matchup just last week with 28 yards and three touchdowns now he gets a matchup going up against the Giants who allow the fifth most fantasy points per game to the running back position in Indianapolis is another team fighting to get in the playoffs how about Chase Brown to round out tier one going up against Denver and he’s still not getting enough credit he’s now gone over 100 total yards or had a touchdown in seven straight ball games over that span he is the running back for overall in fantasy football now gets to go up against Denver who allows just under 20 fantasy points per game to the running back position which will get us through tier one down to tier two it’s Joe Mixon James Cook Aaron Jones Josh Jacobs Devon Anan chuba Hubbert and Jerome Ford for Joe Mason he’s going up against Baltimore and bad timing for another tough matchup here for Joe Mixon but with tank Dell going down you have to think that Mixon gets involved a little bit more in the passing offense this week Baltimore does allow the ninth fewest fantasy points per game to the running back position though so that’s why Joe Mixon is down inside tier two James Cook he’s going up against the Jets and we may see a little bit less of him on Sunday if Kansas City wins their game on Christmas day now cook hasn’t had huge volume for a a while but he’s been super efficient he’s had a run of at least 40 yards or more in three of his last four games played and has a touchdown in five of his last six then we go down to Aaron Jones going up against Green Bay and Minnesota is still fighting for the division and we know that Aaron Jones wants to take it to the Packers once again he had 139 yards against them earlier in the year plus Green Bay is way easier to run on than throw on what about Josh Jacobs his opponent in that game going up against Minnesota and he continues to be one of the hottest running backs in the NFL he’s now scored at least 18 fantasy points in six straight games he’s up inside the top five running backs on the season and despite this being a tough matchup against Minnesota there is no way that Josh Jacobs deserves to be any lower how about Devon Anan going up against Cleveland he had a huge game in week 16 a big- Time touchdown run late to carry a lot of teams to Victory well he’s going right back into a tough matchup this week going up against Cleveland now Cleveland obviously has nothing to play for but they can kill the Miami playoff hopes with a victory plus they allow these six fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs that’s why Devon hen just barely outside the top 12 then we got chuba hover going up against Tampa Bay a great bounce back last week against Arizona now he gets a Tampa Bay defense that allows the 10th fewest fantasy points per game to the running back position and they actually held chuba hubard to just 43 yards a couple weeks ago then we got Jerome Ford going against Miami been huge the last 2 weeks he’s had back-to-back games with over 100 total yards and a touchdown also has a run of 60 yards or more in back-to-back ball games now Miami is much easier to run on and Cleveland is just running out of weapons at this point Jerome Ford is going to be used heavily but all right let’s move down to tier three where we have Tony Pard Bree Hall Brian Robinson Jr Rico dle raand re stev season Tyrone Tracy and Rashad white for Tony Poes going up against Jacksonville and sure Pard has some incentives to hit in his contract but he also isn’t 100% healthy either he’s played in less than 50% of the snaps in his last two games and last week Taj Spears out touched him this is a great matchup though Jacksonville allows the second most fantasy points per game to the running back position then we got Breece Hall going up against Buffalo now the Jets have nothing to play for and the bills may not either by the time this game starts but Bree just had 19 touches last week and as now had 10 plus fantasy points in four of his last five games played Buffalo does allow the third most fantasy points per game to the running back position and Bree Hall had 169 yards against them earlier in the season What about Brian Robinson Jr going up against Atlanta the passing game is working so well in Washington they haven’t been overly reliant on brob we then add in the fact that Atlanta is way easier to throw on then run on I had to drop BR Rob down to tier three now after him I got Rico Dao going up against philadelph Adelphia love the volume he’s had here the last 5 weeks but this is just one of those matchups that it’s really hard to expect much from him Philadelphia is one of the best rund Dees in the NFL they allow the second fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs and in their earlier matchup this year they held Reco to only 56 yards which will take us down to raand re Stevenson going up against the Chargers and it’s not that Stevenson is playing bad he’s averaging over five yards per touch in his last three games but New England is one of the lowest scoring teams in the NF fell so touchdowns are hard to come by consistently now match up going up against the Chargers they allow the eighth fewest fantasy points per game to the running back position Tyrone Tracy he’s going up against Indianapolis he is also questionable to play with an ankle injury so he is definitely somebody we need to monitor up until game time because if he’s a full go he’s not a bad start this week now he could be doing so much better this year but this defense just gives up so many points they have to abandon the run some games we haven’t even been able to see Tyrone Tracy go over 11 touch is in three of his last four games played but the Colts they do allow the 10th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs we’ll have to see if he suits up or not and then to round out tier three it’s Rashad white going up against Carolina and he’s been a decent flex play here as of late Bucky is still feasting but white has had at least 12 touches now in five of his last six games played as well now he gets the great matchup going up against Carolina in a must-win game had to put him up right here at the bottom of tier three which will bring us to tier four and this is where things start to drop off pretty heavily in tier four we got Alexander Madison DeAndre Swift Taj Spears Jaylen Warren Gus Edwards Nai Harris Kendry Miller and Isaiah Pacho now Alexander Madison is going up against New Orleans and with sincere McCormack and zamir white on IR we’re probably going to see a lot of Alexander Madison on the ground and in the passing game he had seven targets last week now obviously not a lot of touchdowns to go around in Las Vegas but New Orleans does allow over 20 fantasy points per game to opposing running back then we have DeAndre Swift going up against Seattle and he doesn’t have a game over 90 total yards or a touchdown since they changed their offensive coordinator a few weeks ago this has to be one of the easiest matchups he’s had in quite some time though over the last few weeks he’s faced the likes of the Detroit Lions twice Minnesota twice and San Francisco now going up against Seattle they allow the 12th most fantasy points per game to the running back position so I kept him up inside the top 24 at number 24 then we got Taj Spears going up against Jacksonville like we mentioned earlier Tony Pard is not 100% healthy now Spears has back-to-back games playing over 50% of the snaps and has four touchdowns over his last two games alone now match up going up against Jacksonville who allows the second most fantasy points per game to the running back position then we got Jaylen Warren going up against Kansas City and it’s going to be hard to find any Running Room against the Chiefs but Jaylen War has now had at least 70 total yards in two of his last three games and could see more checkdowns this week then we move down to Gus Edwards going up against New England kind of a scary option but he does have 10 plus fantasy points in two of his last three games and is coming off a game in which he scored two touchdowns but really this one is more about matchup New England allows the sixth most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs and they have allowed over 140 yards rushing in three straight games then we move down to Naji Harris going up against the Chiefs back-to-back games where he’s failed to even get 10 touches going to be super tough to run against Kansas City they allow by far the few fantasy points per game to opposing running backs and Jaylen Warren has been more involved here as of late then Kendra Miller going up against the Raiders and three different running backs carried the ball for New Orleans in week 16 the bigger issue though is New Orleans can’t ever get a lead long enough to establish any resemblance of a running game this matchup isn’t bad but the Saints are which only leaves us Isaiah Pacho here in tier four going up against Pittsburgh and really no reason to come into this week and expect anything different than we’ve already seen a 50/50 split with Kareem hunt and not a ton of touchdown opportunities add in this is a tough matchup going up against Pittsburgh it’s really hard to consider Isaiah Pacho anything more than a risky Flex option this week which takes us now to tier five where we have Kareem hunt tank bsby Travis etn Kenneth Walker James Connor and Isaac gendo now for Kareem hunt he’s going up against Pittsburgh there with Isaiah Pacho still splitting those touches and it’s a tough match up where there may not be many touchdown opportunities tank bsby he’s sitting right there at a 50/50 split in Jacksonville it all comes down to who scores the touchdown each week because there aren’t very many touchdowns going around in the running game as is but that’s why I also have Travis etn down here in tier five as well it’s a good matchup for these guys but it’s just impossible to know for sure who is going to get that opportunity here in week 17 but Tennessee does allow the seventh most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs then we got Kenneth Walker going up against Chicago now he is questionable to play but if he does play he will be a tier three option if he sits Zack shanet becomes that tier three option I wanted to include some of these injured guys here at the end cuz I know a lot of questions are surrounding them then we got James Connor going up against the Rams another running back questionable to play more than likely he misses this ball game if he plays he’s low tier three if he misses we need to look the way of either Trey Benson if he plays or Michael Carter if Trey Benson is out and then lastly Isaac gendo also questionable to play and if he does it’s not a great matchup he’ll sit a top tier four if he does play and if he doesn’t I probably still won’t put Patrick Taylor up inside the top 36 which gets us through our quick and dirty top 36 running backs for week 17 so now it’s time to transition over to the wide receiver position and we do that and pull up tier one we got the likes of Justin Jefferson puka nakua Jamar Chase Nico Collins Tyreek Hill Mike Evans and Terry mclen now for Justin Jefferson he’s going up against Green Bay he’s the wide receiver two overall on the year year has now scored over 28 fantasy points in two of his last three games Minnesota still in must-win situations and Justin Jefferson has five touchdowns over the last three weeks but he’s also starting to get some volume too which is great he’s got 27 targets over his last two games as well and he scored a touchdown against Green Bay earlier in the year how about puka AA going up against Arizona La needs to keep winning and puka is clearly the top receiving threat in La now that Arizona defense was playing good for most of the season but they’ve really floundered here as of late now after him we got Jamar Chase going up against Denver the matchup against Denver and Patrick ceran is tough but not many people have been able to even slow down Jamar chase this year he is the only wide receiver on the year to be averaging over 20 plus fantasy points per game I dropped him a couple spots to show some respect to Patrick certan and he ain’t falling any more than wide receiver three overall then we got Nico Collins going against Baltimore so no tank Dell and they just signed Deontay Johnson but it’s really hard to think that Deontay Johnson is going to learn the Playbook and have any chemistry with CJ strad in just two days if Houston wants any chance of winning this game we’re going to need a whole lot of Nico Collins because Baltimore allows the second most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position then we have Tyreek hill going up against Cleveland and Miami needs to keep winning ball games and even with lower yardage totals Tyreek is finding the end zone a lot he has actually had a touchdown in five of his last seven games played and we already know that Cleveland is easier to throw on than run on then we move down to Mike Evans is chasing his 1,000 yard streak and typically he kills Carolina over his last four games against the Panthers he has 28 receptions 59 yards receiving and five touchdowns plus this game is at home and they need to keep winning and then we round out tier one with Terry mclen going up against Atlanta he’s the wide receiver five overall on the season has had 13 plus f fantasy points in seven of his last eight games played they’re still playing meaningful games in Washington and Atlanta allows the fourth most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers so Terry mclen up inside tier one all right now we go down to tier two it’s almond Ross St Brown cland Sutton Z flowers lad M Jackson Smith and jigu AJ Brown Devonte Adams Brian Thomas Jr and Jordan Addison now for alond Ross St Brown he’s going up against San Francisco and after a string of bad games in November he’s been hot here as of late now we know that Detroit needs to keep winning but this is not an easy matchup the 49ers allow the second fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers and that’s why I’ve dropped him down at the top of tier 2 then we have courin Sutton going up against Cincinnati and he didn’t have a big week in week 16 but he scored at least 10 fantasy points now in seven of his last eight games played Denver in must-win territory and Cincinnati allows almost 26 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers then we move down to Z flowers going up against Houston and he’s coming off his first 100 yard game in five weeks now we gets a great matchup going up against Houston Houston allows the seventh most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers and Baltimore needs to win this ball game it’s also super hard to run on Houston so we could see more passing from the Ravens once again this week after him it’s lad makoni going up against New England and he continues to be a reliable high-end wide receiver two low-end wide receiver one weeks he’s had at least 10 fantasy points in five straight games and he’s averaging almost 14 yards per reception now he gets a matchup going up against New England they allow over 26 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers then we got Jackson Smith and jigu going up against Chicago one of the hottest fantasy wide receivers right now he’s up to the wide receiver seven overall on the season averaging 13 fantasy points per game on the year and Seattle is still fighting for the division and a playoff spot after him is AJ Brown going up against Dallas and this right here is all about who is his quarterback going to be we know that Jaylen Herz is in concussion protocol Kenny picket is dealing with a rib injury but this matchup is great Dallas allows the eighth most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers but the quarterback play being a question mark I’ve got AJ Brown dropped down a few spots now if Jaylen Herz is active and he plays AJ Brown’s going right back up inside tier one then we got Devonte Adams going against Buffalo and with as crazy as the start of the season was for Adams he’s all the all the way up to the wide receiver 10 on the season he has 15 plus fantasy points in four straight games five touchdowns over his last four games played and they’re always losing and playing from behind which is helping the fantasy production of Devonte Adams then we got Brian Thomas Jr going up against Tennessee I love this kid so much all off season seeing him produce with multiple quarterbacks is super promising as well he is special he’s the wide receiver six overall on the year had eight catches for 86 yards against Tennessee just a couple weeks back and every week it seems like he’s out there making a big play and then we round out tier two with Jordan Addison going up against Green Bay we didn’t really talk about him much to start the season but now he’s close to having a, yards and 10 touchdowns this year he actually scored twice in the game against Green Bay in their last meeting and has six touchdowns over his last six games played which takes us down to tier three it’s George Pickins Keenan Allen cidi lamb T Higgins Drake London DK metf Cooper cup and Garrett Wilson and man is this tier full of question marks how about George Pickins going up against the Chiefs now he is on track to potentially return this week on Christmas against Kansas City if he is a full go you know he’s going to want to put on a show in prime time plus this is still a game that Pittsburgh needs to win and it’s a lot harder to run on Kansas City than throw on Kansas City how about Keenan Allen going up against the Seahawks by far the most consistent producer in Chicago he now has back-to-back games with 13 targets touchdowns in four of his last five games played and with Seattle still fighting for a playoff spot Chicago could be throwing more to keep Pace because the Seahawks allow the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers then we got CD lamb going against Philadelphia and he just re-aggravated his shoulder injury last week now he plans to try and play through the pain but the risk of him falling on it and leaving the game is absolutely huge plus it’s a lot of risk in a meaningless game for the Cowboys I don’t know if they throw him out there for a full set of snaps how about t hi is going against Denver and he seemed to escape an ankle injury now he has already come out and said that he plans on playing this week because Cincinnati is in a must-win situation and he wants to be out there he could have a good chance at Targets as well with Patrick ceran on Jamar Chase we need to monitor his availability same with Drake London going against Washington now he’s dealing with a hamstring injury but reports are coming out saying that he could have reentered the game last week if they wanted him to but we know that Atlanta needs to keep winning ball games so we need to monitor the availability of Drake London if for whatever reason he sits Darnell money will climb the rankings then we have DK meta going against Chicago and it’s crazy that DK hasn’t gone over 70 yards in a game since Halloween this is the week of Christmas he’s just become really touchdown dependent and it’s much easier to run on Chicago than it is to throw on them then we move down to Cooper Cup going up against Arizona and what has happened to Cooper cup he’s now had less than 25 yards in three of his last four games played he hasn’t had over three Targets in either of the last two games either and only had 37 yards in their last matchup against Arizona puka has just taken over there and then lastly we round out tier three with Garrett Wilson going up against Buffalo and he is visibly frustrated with this team he’s only gone over 60 yards one time in his last six games played Devonte Adams has just taken over and because of that he’s the more consistent option now Garrett Wilson did have 107 yards in a touchdown against Buffalo early in the season but that was pred Devonte all right now we move down to tier four where we have Joan Jennings Adam Thiel Jameson Williams Malik neighbors DJ Moore and Marvin Harrison Jr now for Jawan Jennings he’s going up against Detroit and I know we’re all holding on to that early season magic but Jennings has failed to get a touchdown or at least 60 yards receiving in four of his last five games played now San Francisco has nothing to play for they’ve been eliminated but they can kind of play the spoiler and maybe affect the outcome of what position Detroit has in the playoffs but we also know that the Lions do allow the sixth most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position how about Adam thel going up against Tampa Bay Bryce young is playing so much better theen is leading this team in targets the last month of the season and it’s so much easier to throw on Tampa Bay in their last game theelen had eight catches for 99 yards and a touchdown against them then we move down to Jameson Williams going up against San Francisco coming off his best game of the year he is truly unguardable at times now Detroit is still fighting for the division and the number one overall seed so they want to win this ball game not the greatest of matchups going up against San Francisco but I think by now we all know all J needs is one big time touchdown play then we move down to Malik neighbors going up against Indianapolis and this kid’s Talent is just being wasted like all the other Talent before him in New York he’s had to deal with Daniel Jones Drew lock and Tommy DeVito yet he’s still on Pace for over 100 catches and over 1,000 yards receiving which is crazy now who knows who plays quarterback this week but going up against Indianapolis they’re pretty solid against opposing wide receivers then we got DJ Moore going up against Seattle and Keenan Allen is everything we want DJ Moore to be Moore is getting the volume and the higher yardage but Keenan is getting all the touchdowns and absolutely killing the ceiling of DJ Moore at this point more is nothing more than a flex option most weeks same thing can be said for Marvin Harrison Jr going up against the Rams and what do you know another week of four catches for right around 40 or 50 yards for Marvin Harrison Jr only silver lining here is that his best game of the year was back in week two against these Los Angeles Rams where he basically had 130 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the first half of that ball game now we haven’t really seen anything like that since and that’s why he’s down here the bottom of tier four barely inside the top 30 Now we move down to tier five we got khil Shakir Jaylen McMillan Darnell money Xavier worthy Debo Samuel and Jaden Reed now for khil shakir’s going up against the Jets and at the time that this game is being played this game may be somewhat meaningless for Buffalo but Shakir has had less than 40 yards receiving in three of his last four games played this matchup isn’t horrible but there is more risk with the unknown of how much buffalo is really going to push to win this ball game then we got Jaylen McMillan going up against Carolina and he’s really been benefiting here as of late from so much defensive attention on Mike Evans and the running game in Tampa Bay McMillan has now had touchdowns in three straight games and with Carolina playing a little bit better we could see Tampa Bay having to throw the entire ball game then we got Darnell Mooney going up against Washington and with Drake London dealing with a hamstring injury we could see more targets for Michael pennx going the way of dnell Mooney Atlanta has to keep winning ball games and Washington allows over 26 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers we could also see Atlanta playing from behind in this game throwing the ball more and that could even lead to some garbage points that could help win fantasy championships after Mooney we got Xavier worthy going up against Pittsburgh and he’s really getting great volume here the last couple of weeks he’s had 11 targets now in back-to-back ball games touchdowns in back-to-back ball games he’s getting multiple Rush attempts each week but this is a tough matchup and Hollywood Brown is getting back in the mix so I don’t want to put him too high in the rankings then we got dvo Samuel going against Detroit and dvo just had his first game with over 10 fantasy points since week 10 the running game is still banged up though and you can see that San Francisco is just trying to get the ball to Debo Samuel a little bit more they really have little to play for though and with guys like George KD and Jawan Jennings in the mix it’s going to keep Debo Samuel super risky speaking of super risky the last guy on the list is Jaden Reed going up against Minnesota he was basically non-existent for most of that game on Monday night a couple of big plays late really salvaged a potential bad day once again for whatever reason they just are not relying on Jaden Reed that much in this offense which is absolutely stupid despite this being a great matchup going up against Minnesota he is just super hard to trust which brings us through wide receivers and now takes us to our last position our top 15 tight ends now when we do that and bring up tier one we got the likes of George KD Brock Bowers Trey McBride jnu Smith and Mark Andrews now for George KD he’s going up against Detroit and San Francisco may be eliminated from the playoffs but they have a chance at home to affect the Lions playoff seating potentially now KD has even come out and said that he’s still going to go 100% rest of the season but no team allows fewer fantasy points per game to the tight end position than the L but KD has been the clear tight end one most of the season so that’s where he’s staying here in week 17 then we got Brock Bowers going up against New Orleans the targets are back no idea why they slowed down for the two games prior but you have to think they’re going to keep peppering Brock Bowers there in Las Vegas especially since he’s about to break the all-time reception total for a rookie which was set last year by puka at 105 then we got Trey McBride going up against the Rams and with all the pressure to get him in the end zone you have to think they make a conscious effort to get him in there this week now why do I say that there’s really nothing much else to play for in Arizona and on top of that the Rams allow then ninth most fantasy points per game to the tight end position I’m guessing it happens this week how about jonu Smith going up against Cleveland and he has now scored more fantasy points this season than Trey McBride let that sink in for a second in fact jnu hasn’t scored under nine fantasy points in a game since week 10 Miami needs to keep winning and we don’t even know if Jaylen wadle is returning yet jonu Smith remains up inside tier one how about Mark Andrews going up against Houston all the way up to the tight end five overall on the season now the first five weeks of the Season Mark Andrews had 17 points total now he’s scoring weekly touchdowns and like we’ve talked about at the other positions Baltimore is going to have to throw on Houston way easier to throw on Houston than it is to run on them all right now we move down to tier two Sam leaport TJ hackinson Tucker craft Travis Kelce and chiga cono now for Sam leapor he’s going up against San Francisco and they’re still battling with Minnesota but leapor has really come on strong here as of late he’s had at least seven Targets in three straight games 12 plus fantasy points in back-to-back games and with no David Montgomery anymore Detroit is just throwing the ball down the field more consistently San Francisco is pretty tough on tight ends though they do allow the third fewest fantasy points per game to the position then we got TJ hackinson going up against Green Bay and he’s just not looked at Enough by Sam darnold to put him any higher he’s not looked at like cousins looked at him last year anyway and Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson are just taking everything from him now Green Bay is pretty average against the tight end position but Hawk hasn’t even scored eight fantasy points in a game over the last month how about Tucker craft going against Minnesota his opponent in that game and Christian Watson is hurt once again so that will open the door for more targets potentially going the way of Tucker craft but I think at this point we can all agree that the passing game in Green Bay just can’t seem to get going consistently then we got Travis Kelce going up against Pittsburgh Kansas City keeps winning and they don’t even need Travis Kelce he’s only gone over 75 yards three times all year long has no touchdowns over his last six games played and now with Hollywood Brown coming back into the mix I have a feeling that they’re going to use Travis Kelce sparingly to keep him healthy for the NFL playoffs which only leaves us chika cono to round out tier 2 going up against Jacksonville now he’s been leading this team in targets over the last two weeks he’s just more of a safety blanket and more of a PPR option not many touchdowns to go around in Tennessee but Jacksonville does allow the seventh most fantasy points per game to the tight end position then all we got left is tier three Dalton Schulz Dalton K Kade going double Dalton here back to back Hunter Henry Mike geki and David and joku now for Dalton Schultz he’s going up against Baltimore and with the injury to tank Dell Schulz was second on the team in targets last week only behind Nico Collins now it’s not a bad matchup either because Baltimore allows over 10 fantasy points per game to the tight end position and you have to think that Houston will have to throw the ball to keep Pace with this Baltimore offense in this matchup now sure they just signed Deontay Johnson in Houston away from Baltimore but I can’t imagine him learning The Playbook and having any type of chemistry with CJ stad in just two days which takes us down to Dalton concade going up against the Jets and he may not see a full game if Kansas City ends up winning on Christmas day now the Jets are pretty solid against tight ends as well and can has only gone over 50 yards receiving one time in his last five games then we got Hunter Henry going up against the Chargers the target share is great but he’s barely averaging 10 yards per reception and with not a lot of touchdowns to go around in the New England offense he’s a little bit more of a floor play instead of a ceiling play more of a PPR option really then we got Mike geki going against Denver this one kind of a shot in the dark but Denver plays great against wide receivers so it could free up some space for Mike geki down the field Cincinnati needs to win this ball game and Denver will be able to score some points on this Cincinnati defense geki could be a sneaky play in week 177 now after him I’m going to mention David and joku who’s going up against Miami because we knew the targets would remain but we knew they weren’t going to be quality targets whatsoever now Miami does allow over 10 fantasy points per game to tight ends and David and joku flirts with 10 plus targets a week so why is he not higher we don’t even know if he’s going to play at this point he is currently questionable with a knee injury and with Cleveland really not playing for much I would not be surprised if he misses this game I know a lot of people would have questions about him so I want to throw him at the bottom of the list now if he does end up missing the next tight end in my rankings would have been no gray so there you have all your positional rankings for
