[Music] yo what is going on headliner Nation week 16 fantasy playoffs are here and the wide receiver position is as volatile as ever we’ve got guys at the very top that continue to perform well and then a whole lot of guys that realistically can be wide receiver ones or they can disappear the next week it is how today’s NFL is structured guys are having great games and then not being looked at for multiple games in a row after that and that makes setting a fantasy lineup really difficult but hopefully these videos will help you get set on the right track but Thursday Night Football could be a really terrible start for anybody that’s going to be chasing fantasy points with those players this week the LA Chargers defense got pushed around by the Tampa Bay Bucks last week a little bit and because of that I went ahead and bumped courland suton up to a lowrisk start he’s got at least eight Targets in every single game since week seven and maybe he doesn’t have some of the upside that we’ve seen in other games but seeing what we just did from the Chargers courland sunt could still have a decent floor Quinn Johnson led the team with 10 targets last week and if that type of share keeps up he could definitely have some fantasy viability over the last couple of weeks of the season now the Broncos defense is going to be really tough lad makoni to me is much safer and has a much better floor than Quinton Johnston even with Quinton Johnson being a little bit riskier than lad mcon his ceiling is going to be higher with the touchdown potential if I have to pick one here it certainly is going to be lad makoni but it wouldn’t shock me if Quinton Johnson in some negative game script saw a pass that got to the end zone even when Nico Collins isn’t balling out and bringing in a whole lot of yards he’s bringing in multiple touchdowns he only had 17 receiving yards last week but he still scored two touchdowns his versatility in this offense is one of the things that allows him to be one of the better fantasy wide receivers in all of fantasy football right now and with tank Dell not getting nearly enough looks on a consistent basis with CJ Stroud not showing the upside that we saw last season he’s a guy that if you’re trying to risk it you’re probably going to be hurt more times than not ju guu had one catch last week it was a touchdown it’s not enough for me to even add him to the spreadsheet at this point because realistically which one of you out there would be starting Juju Smith Shuster in week 16 now Xavier worthy led the team with 11 targets but it didn’t really turn into much he caught six of them but didn’t even put together 50 receiving yards so that high-risk tag is going to remain in place and DeAndre Hopkins to me is a little bit of a safer bet this week this is a solid matchup for these two guys but we don’t know who the quarterback is going to be as of this recording right now I’m assuming it’s probably going to be Carson Wentz with Patrick Mahomes sitting out at least a couple of weeks are we going to see some fireworks between Pittsburgh and Baltimore or is it going to be a defensive slug Fest because right now the Pittsburgh defense looks really good except they had a lot of trouble with Philadelphia last week the Baltimore defense can stop the run but they can’t seem to figure out the pass I really doubt George Pickins plays this week everything I’ve read has basically stated that his hamstring injury was enough to hold him out for several weeks so returning this week even though he’s been doing some light things at practice really seems out of the question especially considering the fact they play on Saturday this week and not Sunday Calvin Austin is a pretty low risk safe floor play for me I think he could see a decent amount of targets and going up against that Baltimore secondary he could have a really nice solid floor even though Calvin Austin didn’t have a huge week last week no other wide receiver saw more than two Targets I think Z flowers and Rashad baitman have a little bit of potential this week because when you take a look at what both of these guys can do against this Pitts B defense Baltimore is going to have to throw the football they’re not going to be able to run it the entire time with Derrik Henry and Lamar Jackson is coming off one of his best performances ever he had more touchdown passes than incompletions last week so if Baltimore needs to throw it they’re going to be able to do that Z flowers is going to have more targets so his floor is a little bit more stable even though his upside has not been great as of recent Rashad baitman doesn’t have a great floor but his touchdown potential gives him a decent ceiling we’re still waiting to hear who’s going to be the starter for for the Giants this week at quarterback time deito suffered a concussion last week and Tim Bole ended up stepping in but does it really matter we are definitely starting Malik neighbors this week this matchup is really solid for him to have a very solid day and last week he had 10 receptions for over 80 yards again with Tim Bole and right now over on Underdog his current projection is only 72 and a half receiving yards he’s gone higher than that in each of his last three games I’m absolutely on board with Malik neighbors going higher than that current projection even if Tim Bole ends up being the starter because he did just fine with him last week and if you’re looking for a safe Florida Flex that’s going to give you five fantasy points wand Del Robinson’s your guy now I did adjust my thoughts on the Atlanta wide receivers a little bit because Michael pinnix was announced as the new starter for the Atlanta Falcons heading into week 16 and Kurt Cousins will be going to the bench shocker I actually like these guys more now Darnell Mooney was actually going to be a high-risk play for me but with Michael pinnick under Center this week I think it gives a little juice and a little life to this offense so Drake London’s going to stay a lowrisk play for me and Darnell Mooney gets bumped up to being a medium risk I think the matchup between Detroit and Chicago is going to be a coin flip this is a Detroit team that is outside for the first time in a while and their defense is absolutely reeling the Chicago offense Camp seemen to figure it out even with all all the changes that they’ve made in personnel and then their defense has been playing pretty well but how long can they hold up there into the bargain Detroit blew Chicago out in the first half on Thanksgiving Day and then almost gave the game away in the second half so this game is really going to be tight I believe and a tight game with neutral game script means more targets to Aman ra St Brown now he’s a guy that you can kind of move around and get away from certain Defenders where Jameson Williams is going to have a little bit of a more risky upside because you’re going to be a little bit more reliant on the big play St Brown had 73 targets against this Bear’s defense just a few weeks ago so he absolutely has an opportunity to put up similar numbers but it really just depends on the state of the game Flow Jameson Williams only had 28 yards so his risk is definitely going to be higher the issue with the Bears wide receivers is pretty simple one two or all three could end up hitting one two or all three could end up missing it’s really hard to tell on a weekly basis who’s going to be the guy who’s going to be the safest start who’s going to have the highest upside because we’ve seen it switch back and forth quite a bit and with how banged up Detroit’s defense is right now especially losing Carlton Davis this past week these wide receivers could end up being just fine I wouldn’t start multiple of them on your team but if you have a wide receiver Two Three or Flex spot open you probably could afford to start any one of them given his recent performance I understand why the Browns are benching jamus Winston but for Fantasy owners the move to Dorian Thompson Robinson is not nearly as beneficial since their Buy in week 10 Jerry Judy has been a wide receiver to at least in every single game jamus Winston was throwing up more than enough volume to make these guys fantasy viable even Elijah Moore was seeing fantasy viable targets even if some of his performances weren’t the best and whenever Cedric Tilman comes back the Deep ball from jamus Winston was way more beneficial from him than what it will be with DTR so for these guys all three of them are going to have some pretty big risk until we see who DTR is going to lock on with the most I’ll go ahead and list Jerry Judy is a medium risk because I still think he’ll be the wide receiver one in this offense but I don’t think the ceiling or the floor are as high as what they have been we know Jamar Chase is going to get fed for Cincinnati you’re starting him there’s no issues there t Higgins he can be a little bit up and down still right now and there’s going to be some games like last week where he balls out he scores a touchdown and he looks fantastic and then there’s going to be other games where unfortunately that just doesn’t happen he’s not nearly as safe as Jamar Chase even though he has a ceiling that’s actually pretty similar I don’t think it’s totally out of the question to try and start Calvin Ridley or Nick West Brookie Kenny this week because the change to Mason Rudolph was made once already this season and NWI ended up fairing pretty well he was scoring touchdowns in every single game at that point he’s kind of backed off that a little bit the last couple of weeks so he is more risky than what we saw a few weeks ago when Mason Rudolph was the starter and we already know Calvin Ridley is going to be the target leader in this offense so he’s a medium risk because he will see more targets than NWI but there’s going to be a lot of risk associated with both of these guys so if you need to flex or play one of them as like a wide receiver to unfortunately you’re probably going to be dealing with some issues in terms of upside Anthony Richardson and his upside continues to be a huge issue and these wide receivers would have a much better floor if he could just make the easy throws he makes the difficult throws look easy and he makes the easy throws look like he’s a four-year-old trying to throw a football for the first time he’s going to get that under control and I think he’ll end up being just fine but for the rest of this season when we’re targeting these wide receivers I’ll take a look at Josh DS as the number one wide receiver on this team but unfortunately the rest of the guys bring far too much risk Adonai Mitchell could have a couple shots down the field this week especially if Alec Pierce doesn’t come back from his concussion but we’ll take a look at that later on the week to see how that fares out anyone trying to put Cooper Cup in their lineup this week is going to have some PTSD after seeing a zero from him last week but there’s no way the Rams and Matthew Stafford can go two straight weeks without making Cooper cup fantasy viable can they it has been four weeks since he had a wide receiver one game and honestly we don’t need a wide receiver one game from him give me a wide receiver two game I don’t love his ceiling in this matchup and that’s one of the reasons why I’m going to leave him as a medium risk because pukaa is a lot safer than Cooper cup as well so pukan nakua if you own him we’re putting him in our lineup and we’re not even thinking twice about it while you maybe thinking twice about Cooper cup I would still roll with him Devonte Adams is on absolute fire right now Garrett Wilson is still fantasy viable and Aaron Rogers has back-to-back top 12 weeks this matchup is beneficial for the most part for these receivers and I definitely think both of them will have fine enough days that if they’re in your lineup you’re going to feel really good about the floor that they give to you and they’re going to offer a little bit of ceiling as well the one thing we got to hope for is that Aaron roders just doesn’t get sacked too many times if there is too much pressure on Aaron roders that’s where things could become an issue for the wide receivers I remember when everyone spent the entire week talking about the Eagles passing offense and how it was broken and Jaylen herdz and AJ Brown hated each other and all these other things and then they went out and they played excellent against one of the better defenses in all of football last week and now they’re going up against Washington who has been better as the season has gone on but they can still give up their fair share of points I think they’ll end up being just fine this week AJ Brown continues to be the safest option in this lineup because of being a wide receiver one Devonte Smith is the wide receiver to is going to have some big games just like he did last week but maybe this week won’t be nearly as big Terry McClaren has been great this season for fantasy teams but this week against Philadelphia I have a lot of concerns the last time he played against them one catch for 10 yards and I don’t necessarily think he’s going to have as bad of a day as he did in that last game but I don’t know if his ceiling is a whole lot higher than that given that this pass defense has been spectacular as of recent for me personally when I take a look at Terry McClaren this week you’re almost in one of those situations where you have to play him unless you’re in a league where you’re extremely deep at wide receiver so if you’ve got some guys with higher upside and a better floor maybe you take a shot at them but if you really don’t have any options that are less risky than Terry McLaren then you put your best player in your lineup this is the type of matchup where we would expect our wide receiver one to pop off and have that type of a day and Marvin Harrison Jr may be the wide receiver one for the Arizona Cardinals but he hasn’t been a wide receiver one in fantasy for quite some time honestly when you take a look at what Harrison JR could do this week you take a look at his floor if you’re playing him this week you’re playing him in the hopes that he gets you six seven or eight fantasy points and you’re hoping that maybe he scores a touchdown to kind of push it over the top but if not you’re playing him for your floor and you’re just keeping your fingers crossed then maybe he can put together a decent day for the first time in a while I’m not in love with Bryce young this week but I think he helps Adam thielen see a floor that’s very similar to what he did last week but with a much better ceiling if we have Adam Thelen we’re playing him as a wide receiver too why wide receiver three or Flex option Jaylen Coker is going to be kind of that Flex upside play that we try to roll with if Xavier legate ends up being out this week we’ll keep an eye on that news as the week persists if you end up playing Jaylen Coker you’re wishing for some big upside plays but if they don’t happen he may not return the value that you’ll need for Minnesota and Seattle Justin Jefferson obviously in your lineup no matter what Jordan Addison is a guy that this week I think he’s actually a lot safer than what some of these other matchups have been where he’s done very well anyway four of the last five games at least eight targets if he gets at least eight Targets in this game he’s golden for some fantasy points Jackson Smith njigba continues to be one of the best options in all of fantasy football at the wide receiver position right now even if he doesn’t have the most upside like some of the other guys do he definitely has a really safe floor and regardless of who the quarterback is this week I’ll take jsn to still be a lowrisk option it’s the other guys at this point that I’m not super excited about DK metf was my must avoid last week I ended up being right about that I’m not going to list him as a must avoid again but it would take a really crappy fantasy lineup for me to even consider playing him I don’t know if there’s anybody in this matchup that I absolutely trust I like khil Shakir because I’ve liked him basically every single week since the beginning of the season but he hasn’t even shown nearly as much upside as I would like at times especially like last week against Detroit when unfortunately a lot of the targets ended up going to to wide receivers and tight ends this week however hopefully he can get back on track the New England wide receivers going up against this defense we just haven’t seen enough consistency from any of them where I think playing them during our fantasy championships is worth it for the other side of the ball though when we talk about what those guys offer Keon Coleman doesn’t get a whole lot of targets if you play him you’re hoping for like one big play I’m not really looking at anyone else other than khil Shakir give me some Khalil Shakir this week even Amari Cooper has been up and down but if he can break a big play that’s awesome that raises his ceiling and it definitely makes looking hit his floor a little bit more manageable when it comes to M Jones I don’t care what his numbers look like he could throw five interceptions in a game and it’s not going to bother me just make sure all those targets go to Brian Thomas Jr because if you give him that many targets he’s going to be fantasy viable let the guy eat and right now over on Underdog his projection for this week is 692 receiving yards and I am all over that projection he’s beat that all of the last three games he is on a roll right now and a couple of his previous three games are actually against tougher passing defenses than what we’ll see this week against the Raiders Brian Thomas Jr should be in for a really solid day this is a great matchup for jacobe Meyers but just keep in mind that the risk associated with him is a lot higher with Desmond Ritter as the quarterback Ritter did not look good last week and maybe it took a while for him to get his feet under himself and then this week he’ll end up being fine if he’s the starter once again but right now I’m going to list jacobe Meers as a medium-risk play he’s a flex guy for me I really don’t want to start him as a wide receiver too I would like to shoot for some guys with a little bit more upside if Ritter ends up playing fine then jacobe Meer should end up being just fine but that’s where my biggest concern comes from it’s the quarterback not the wide receiver last week the San Francisco 49ers offense let us down but that was a rain soaked game that honestly a whole lot of people didn’t really see coming I mean the rain wasn’t even talked about until later in the day on Thursday so the hope is is that hey San Francisco bounces back this week but they’re getting a Miami defense that’s been very solid all season long especially against the pass Jan Jennings his safe floor that we’ve seen over the last few weeks he probably still has a safe floor but the ceiling is where I’m really concerned this week Jan Jennings is still a startable option for me however his buddy over there Debo Samuel is not because Debo Samuel is going to be my Mando must aoid wide receiver for the week this guy has been absolutely terrible Debo Samuel hasn’t had a top 24 week since he was the wide receiver six back in week six his best finish since then wide receiver 25 his best finish over the last five weeks wide receiver 54 this is a tougher matchup and the guy has absolutely sucked as of late with your fantasy playoffs on the line I’m not trusting Deo Samuel if he goes off on my bench for over a 100 yards and two tutes whatever there is no statistics and no information pointing to the fact that he should be in your lineup this week and if you have to play him this week you’re definitely going to be sweating his production so you might as well head on over to Mando and let them help you out with that their 72-hour clinically proven formula is going to help keep you dry and smelling good which is what you’re going to need this weekend especially if you got like holiday parties and stuff you don’t want to be watching Debo Samuel and sweating all over the potluck get on over to Mando use code word Headliners get $5 off of their starter pack and start keeping yourself fresh today I like Tyreek Hill to bounce back this week he was starting to show some of that wide receiver one upside once again over the last couple of weeks and then last week unfortunately the offense as a whole just didn’t play that well and by offense as a whole I mean two or throwing three interceptions so hopefully against San Francisco they’re back on track this week Tyreek Hill sees some of that wide receiver upside once again and then he has a solid wide receiver to floor at the very least janen Wadd at this point may not even end up playing we haven’t heard a whole lot of updates on his injury but I would be willing to guess he’ll probably be out this week if you’re looking to potentially play Malik Washington I would pick him up as an option to keep on your bench especially if you had Jaylen waddle but I don’t know if I’d be willing to run him out this week Tampa Bay and Dallas could bring some big explosions at the wide receiver position for Fantasy Football Mike Evans and CD lamb are both in great matchups and have been playing very well as of recent both of these guys could end up having top 10 potential this week and absolutely dominating this game and would be the talk of the game at the end and I like where both of their projections currently lie over on Underdog for Mike Evans his current projection at 72 a half receiving yards I’m going higher than that because he’s going to need to average over 80 receiving yards the last three games to have another 1,000 yard season to start his career and that is definitely a goal that him and Baker Mayfield have in mind so do not be shocked if he goes over that over the next few games is they work towards another 1,000 yard season and CD lamb is only at 742 yards for his projections if this Tampa Bay offense plays the way they did last week Dallas is going to have to throw the football CD lamb is going to be the main beneficiary of a really poor secondary both of these guys should go well into the 80s if not higher now the only wide receiver in this matchup I would consider would be Jaylen McMillan outside of Mike Evans and CD lamb I’m not really ecstatic about starting him because you’re going to probably need a touchdown to make his fantasy day but like I just mentioned if this turns into a shootout where both teams are throwing it quite a bit McMillan should see a fair amount of targets mvs on the road against Green Bay with Spencer Rattler as his quarterback on Monday Night Football is not a fantasy player that I would really like to rely on I get it if you need to especially if you’re dealing with injuries or if you’ve been using him over the last several weeks to kind of try to get yourself into the playoffs but for me personally I would rather look elsewhere he’s going to have okay upside but not the greatest floor because he’s just not seeing enough targets last week he had really one big play that kind of made the day for him he only had two receptions and a lot of that could end up happening again now the good news about mvs this week is the fact that New Orleans is going to be losing this game Green Bay should end up being just fine and if they’re leading this game they’re going to have to throw it a whole lot more which means more potential for mvs but it’s just not a route that I really want to go unless you have to and honestly I don’t really want to play anyone from Green pay either because I mean look at Romeo dobs he went from being in the doghouse and suspended to the wide receiver one to herur back to the wide receiver want Christian Watson who can never stay healthy is all of a sudden one of the most trusted Targets on this team and Jaden Reed who was really good at the beginning of the season has completely disappeared and davien Wix only shows up every once in a while it’s like where in the World is Carmen San Diego where in the world is davien Wicks every single week it if we’re waiting until Monday Night Football for our fantasy matchups unfortunately I feel like there could be some let Downs I think dabs and Watson are the best case scenarios for Green Bay but I could also see Reed and Wicks doing something as well and taking away from dobs and Watson they’re also going to run the football quite a bit with Josh Jacobs so maybe the passing game just isn’t really needed this week headliner Nation there you have it my entire breakdown for the wide receiver slate in week 16 I need to go record tight ends I’m also going to be doing the rankings videos for you as well this week so make sure you’re locked in subscribe to the channel and have those Bell notifications on so as we drop content for the rest of the week you’re going to know about it right away peace out headliner stay safe and stay healthy and I’ll catch you all in the next episode of the fantasy headliners
