you yeah yeah yeah well it was I thought it was Bob Myers too listen the de dead clock is right twice a day congratulations all right let’s get focused do you think Giannis and the crew can sustain their winning weights they started off the season slow and they’ve been on a hot streak I I have total belief in Giannis and Damen Lillard my question is can the others continue to do what they’re doing because you got a whole bunch of dudes there shooting over 40% from three-point range they went from like 16th doggy in three-point efficiency when they started off 2 and eight tied for number one now wow and so when you look at it from that standpoint if the Milwaukee Bucks can shoot like that continuously they can win it all Yannis and Damen Lillet but I don’t know if they can like that exactly that’s my point because the Celtics listen they did what they did last night against the top defensive team in the NBA and that’s where you have to be impressed even though Oklahoma City couldn’t buy a basket in the second half they just went cold but I look at Milwaukee right now if you’re shooting the basketball like that you got a chance to win it all they played good defense too and obviously they had no Christmas very important they needed to win this franchise something they can celebrate they’ve had a bad couple years they came out of nowhere to win this bad start I don’t want to take your luster r with the First with the little quick take but I thought psychologically that was a big win for Doc big win for the team I think they’ve won like 12 of their last 15 absolutely the NBA has unveiled its new Allstar form out a four team three- game one night tournament three teams will consist of eight NBA Allstars while the fourth team will feature the rising stars challenge winners each game will be played to a Target score of 40 points so what do the players think of the change we know Kevin Durant’s not a fan listen up I hate it absolutely hate it they been terrible allstar game for mats changing all the formats terrible in my opinion and we should just go back to East West like just play a game I think I think we’ve been trying to you know bring that flare back somehow with the Allstar Weekend but I think we just keep it traditional but we’ll see how this one works you never know I might be wrong I’m just another guy with another with an opinion but we’ll see how it works all right uh Katie’s not feeling it Stephen A what do you think of the new format I think that um I don’t blame Kevin Durant for feeling that way um but my whole point is tell a whole story the players have ruined Allstar Weekend it’s their fault that this is happening you think Adam Silva and the NBA in concert with the Players Association want to be huddling for weeks if not month trying to come up with different formats for Allstar Weekend all you have to do is go out out there and play with effort and not have it be a glorified layup line or shooting contest they play harder in the summertime training amongst themselves than they do in front of thousands of fans in an arena and millions watching for a star studed Allstar Weekend and event they have shamed the game of basketball they have shamed the event it is an absolute embarrassment and I know it’s not popular to say but damn it I’m Stephen A I’m going to say it I I have absolutely positively I’m sorry I apologize to the NBA I love me some Adam Sila I love me the league office I appreciate the effort that theyve put forth but these players that have shown up on allar I’m not talking about the three-point shooting contest the slam dunk contest is an atrocity and the allar and allstar game is even worse the lack of effort that they have shown has been such a disgrace I personally have no desire no desire to be in attendance for it it is an embarrassment and just so you know doggy as an aside I’m not playing I’m serious at some point in time I’m going to have my own I’m going to sponsor my own damn Slam Dunk Contest Nationwide I believe I can go throughout the streets of America and fire five to 10 Elite slam dunkers in this country that would do 10 times a better job than the slam Lam dunk contest at NBA Allstar Weekend and the allstar game itself it is all on the players if you show up and just compete with one another none of this is happening this is not Adam Silva’s fault this is not the League’s fault this is the players who basically have said you know what we don’t feel like the NBA caters enough to us so we don’t give a damn and as a result we are going to wink wink to one another even though Dr J Larry Bird and all of those guys came talking to them and talking about how their predecessors put importance to this game and stuff they ignored it the wink Winks of the world and they going to court and they play with no effort whatsoever it is embarrassing and they should be ashamed of how they have sulled the NBA product they they should be ashamed of them slam du contest do it outside in New York City I think he’s I’ll be your sideliner reporter and I won’t even charge you okay really uh and she’s she’s lying about that go ahead last year Glam Oscar Robertson sitting on court side in Indianapolis watching him basically score 200 points so I can’t say anything that um Stevie just said I’ll Echo the same scenario I mean if the NBA player in this case Durant I like Durant but if he’s going to sit there and say he hates it it’s his own fall if your team had played better and you had given us an effort as you said Steve and put it just give us a nominal effort yes you know make it a somewhat in a fourth quarter we can something we can watch and enjoy in the middle of February when there’s nothing El what’s going on after the Super Bowl we wouldn’t be at this scenario where we’re coming up with these weird things 40 points four teams round robin I mean it’s crazy they did this but but it’s their fault it’s not Silver’s fault he’s trying to preserve something it’s their fault now I you’ve informed me about this corporate thing they don’t like the idea that they feel they’re almost giving too much to the NBA and getting nothing back where is your competitive fire you’re putting on a uniform in front of 18,000 fans and as you said millions of people you think you’d want to go out there and not embarrass the league by that performance so you’re a th% right there’s nothing else to and all and again I emphasis all you have to do is compete as much as you do in the summertime and you’re on [Music]
