[Music] oh my God they actually did it welcome into Chicago Bears now my name is Harrison Graham the Bears have finally done it they fire head coach Maddie bro as he finishes 14 and 32 in just under three seasons as the head coach of the Bears we’re going to react we’re going to look to the Future as this as mercifully happened as the Bears did what so obviously had to be done this is why name is Harrison Graham let’s dive into it it had to be done it it just so obviously had to be done it should have been done a handful of other times but after what we witnessed in virtually a Prime Time game I know it was the early game on thank Thanksgiving but a standalone game in t of in front of probably 40 plus million people who are watching you had to fire mie reflu his latest Co coaching malpractice and defending of it after the game just could not be allowed to go unbothered it it it was just a disgrace what we saw in Detroit on Thanksgiving not knowing when to take to take a time out just letting that clock wind and wind and wind when it’s clearly chaotic your quarterback feeling like he has to change a play to a vertical concept with romad dun because he does he thinks there’s only going to be one play left just just a complete and utter debacle in the final 32 seconds of that game in Detroit it’d be one thing if it was the first time it’d be one thing if it was the second time the third but it’s been countless times not just this year but over a three-year period especially these final couple of years when the Bears quite frankly should be a playoff team last year they blew three games in which they had a 91% chance or better of winning in the fourth quarter including two of those when it was 98% chance of better Denver and gosh I can’t even think of the other one I know Cleveland was the 91% [Music] Denver and there was there was another one in there as well but three games where he had a 91% chance to win or better oh Detroit and Detroit just like this one uh you didn’t have a 90 plus percent chance of this one but we have we saw how it ended we’ve seen theame games this year I mean if you just win these games you should win you’re a playoff team and that’s what’s so frustrating the Detroit Lions might be the best team in football you caught them on kind of an off day they kind of started messing around they fumble inside the five they’re kicking field goals their offense in the second half didn’t do much and you just blow it because your coach is a joke and finally you’ve come to that realization finally you’ve decided we’re not going to wait till the end of the season we’re doing it right now because this cannot be allowed to continue we’re not going to let it continue we’re going to move on for Matt eberl who not only finishes 14 and 32 in just under three seasons and 46 games a very low winning percentage he lost more than twice for every win he had three and 19 on the road capped by that game in Detroit 3 and 13 in the NFC North two and 13 excuse me I don’t know why I said three and 13 two and 13 at NFC North games including what we just saw the last three weeks losing three games by combined was it seven points to the NFC North two and 19 against teams who were above 500 at kickoff when you played them but by the way one of those two wins was in Minnesota last year against Josh dos by two points which is not a good team and five and 19 and one score games I think I saw a stat uh yesterday among qualified coaches 221 coaches who had at least 21 score games in their coaching career he’s got the lowest win percentage like 26% something crazy I think it’s safe to say that this is in the last 20 years in the NFL for a guy who got Beyond a year because there’s the Nate hackets of the world the the urban Myers like these just ridiculous situations where like okay he’s just a joke for a guy to get a third year I I think you could make a strong argument this is the worst head coach in the NFL in the last 15 20 years for a guy who got more than two years he has been laughably bad in the way they’ve lost some of these games in the way he’s doubled down in press conferences and defended how they’ve lost he he is just unbelievably bad which is why even the Bears who don’t believe in firing head coaches midseason simply had no choice when players after the game Keenan Allen saying I feel like as players we did good enough to win Kyler Gordon saying no comment next question when asked what the common denominator in these losses is DJ Mo saying I don’t know why we didn’t take a timeout in that spot like you lost the locker room it’s been lost but like that when they all come out like that at once I mean what are you going to do you going to trot it out for another five weeks no no you you’re you’re going to pull the plug and uh you know better late than never it should have happened last off season it should have happened after Arizona it should have happened after New England it should have happened after the first two NFC North games you lost this year but at least it finally happened because it’s what had to be done everybody knows it um everybody knew it except for the Bears and the Bears finally caught up you guys let me know in the comments who’s going to be the next head coach of the Chicago Bears in 2025 not the not the interim situation next head coach in 2025 let us know in the comment section down below let’s talk uh some early thoughts on this coaching search just some things I think you need to be looking for in the next head coach and obviously I’ll dive deeper into this we’ll have a full candidates list and you know that list will be updated as time goes on I put out a list a month ago maybe I already need to tweak it like I Cliff Kings very way too high I wouldn’t even have him on the list at this point um but uh some early thoughts number one you need a guy who can command the room demand respect a and just demand Excellence really I I’m not saying they never respected Eber flu but he’s always just kind of a corny guy that seemed hard to take seriously like this is where like a Mike Vel would check the box like just a non nonsense kind of guy like we’re not g to settle for like you need someone who when he stands up guys freaking listen they sit up with good posture in their chair like oh coach is talking like they they need that type of guy a noons alpha male to lead this team number two it has to be somebody that can connect with Caleb Williams kaleb’s a unique guy um I I I don’t think that has to be an offensive guy I think that’s preferred um you got to be able to connect with him that’s where I worry about a guy like Brian Flores who Tua has gone on record basically saying he can’t stand the guy and say you know Tua has flaws I I I I think he’s got limitations but the second Flores leaves he became an instantly better player so I I think you you know Flores would be a tough sell for that reason can he connect with quarterbacks I don’t know you need somebody that can connect with Cale doesn’t have to be as best friend but someone that can understand him connect with him build a relationship with him and Coach him hard and Thomas Brown said it recently Caleb likes being coached hard and Thomas checks some of these boxes I think he’s a guy worth interviewing wouldn’t be at the top of my list uh but uh he’s a guy that I think could get an interview and you know beyond that like does it have to be a former head coach no I mean the only guys that are going to be someone that have been a former head coach Bill bich who I still am lukewarm about although maybe it’s growing on me you know just he speaking of No Nonsense he’s No Nonsense it ended really badly in New England but I mean I I’m open to it no doubt about it it’s just 73 years old is that the right fit with Caleb I don’t know um and then Mike Vel he would be the other guy who’s had head coaching experience took Tennessee to an AFC Championship game uh earned the number one overall seed in a different year that was with never having a quarterback better than Ryan tanah Hill Caleb is supremely more talented um you know and then you get to some other names like the Ben Johnson’s these other coordinators that is Aaron Glenn a guy that shoots up the list what he’s doing with Detroit’s defense they’re losing guys left and right it’s pretty impressive um you know some think he’s got more of that Alpha personality than Ben Johnson I’ve heard Ben Johnson talking pressers I think he’s perfectly fine uh but you know you would have to do some digging there we all love Ben Johnson’s offense can he command the room or is he just a creative fun play caller that that’s what you have to figure out um you know and again I’ll put my list together and I’ll try and get as much info as I can but this is on the Bears and it goes back to when they hired Shane Waldren yeah I liked the idea of it because he had three years of play calling experience in Seattle he had been under Shawn mcfay he had been under bellich in his past like he had had different experiences but the Bears are the ones Ryan poles Kevin Warren whoever that talk to these guys you should get a good feel when you talk to a guy can he be that guy can he be an alpha in the room like I heard Shane Waldren talk for three minutes in his first presser and that gave me pause I was like I don’t know man I don’t know if this guy’s the answer Thomas Brown you hear him talking it’s like this guy gets it now again I’m not saying make Thomas Brown the the head coach in 2025 I’m just saying just listen to people talk some times and that that that that should speak volumes especially with the head coach you cannot doubt someone’s personality in terms of the head coach interview process if you have any doubts there they have to be eliminated it’s pretty simple um C poll be trusted can the Bears be trusted they narrowed down their search to Matty eberl Dan Quinn and Jim Caldwell last time then Po’s got the GM job he was given those three finalists now it’s been reported that he was able to Branch out from those finalists whether that’s true or not who knows but he chose Matt eberl and he chose to bring him back last year again how much did ownership play a role it that’s Up For Debate but I think it’s pretty safe to say Ryan poles believed in Matty reflu pretty strongly he liked him listen to him talk about him on the record over the last couple years he’s a big flu guy he was a big flu guy at least that gives me pause that makes me worry because again when e flu talks does he Inspire confidence so what was it about him when they interviewed him when they watched him Coach the first two years to bring him back this year to hire him in the first place like I it’s fair to wonder and to ask yourself if you trust this franchise to hire the right coach because Matt Eber flu was so laughably bad and we’ve seen it the last two years that not not only did they choose him ini initially they brought him back for a third season the second you were changing quarterbacks you needed to change head coaches the Bears disagreed really really bad process and I’ll just ask you straight up do you trust the Bears to hire the right coach type t for trust or D for don’t if you don’t I can’t say I blame you if you do I don’t want to call it blind optimism but we got to see it to believe it I know this Caleb Williams is a highlevel talent he’s had an up and down rookie year but he’s a proven fourth quarter player already in his young career he can make all the throws he can move around you can do a lot of different things with him as a play caller if you get the right one in here whether that’s the head coach of the OC you got to get the right coach for this kid he is the real deal but it’s up to the Bears to maximize him I don’t think this rookie here has been a complete weight B cuz he’s seen a lot of different experiences but man you don’t want this guy to get complacent with losing these type of games which is why I do respect the Bears here they finally pulled the plug on this head coach by firing Matt eberl all
