[Music] greetings pool player nation and welcome to Orlando Florida for coverage of the 2024 US amateur Championship presented by the APA I’m your host Jason Bowman and I am joined by J Jeremy Jones Jeremy one of the most highly anticipated events of the year has finally arrived what began with 41 players is now down to the final two competing for the coveted title of women’s US amateur champion and our championship match here is going to feature Amy Tero of sanduski Ohio and she’s going to be taking on newcomer Kindra prestgard of Northfield Minnesota great shot hitting it with a lot of control tell you what that was uh that was about as good as you could hit it and there it is folks the 2024 women’s US amateur Champion KRA progard Jeremy we started with 128 players we’re down to the final two we’re hoping to add their names to the coveted Lar bar Hubbert Memorial trophy by winning this year’s US amateur championship and in our championship match we will feature Brandon Ashcraft out of Adrien Michigan and he’s going to be going against James Blackburn of Reedsville North Carolina great shot and he showed a lot of heart tell you that down 6 to2 I believe it was and the nine ball Falls James Blackburn is the 2024 US amateur Champion I’ll tell you what folks doesn’t get any closer than that a hill hill nailbiter to close out this year’s US amateur Championship hope you folks enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you again here in the near future [Music] oh
