a sea of Orange meets a sea of red for the 4A division one state championship these are the picks welcome into the pics presented by Community Coffee you’re guide of the Texas high school football state championship games my name is Greg tuer of Dave Campbell Texas football and Texas foot.com thank you so much for tuning in we’re previewing the 4A division one State title game 3:00 Friday afternoon at AT&T stadium in Arlington it’s the class 4A division one state championship game between the Salena Bobcats and the Kilgore Bulldogs what are the keys to this matchup key number one Salina’s line versus kilgore’s front and we’re going to talk a lot about Playmakers in this ball game because both of them have it in Spades but to me this is the whole ball game this is it this is the outstanding front seven for Kilgore led by Wy Mitchell absolutely Relentless the rage in red has been absolutely terrific in the front seven going up against perhaps the best offensive line in all of class 4A in Salena led by Tai Hughes that’s it because that is where Salena wants to win they want to win UPF front of their offensive line but this Kilgore front is the best defensive front in all four division one in my opinion and that is the real money match up in this one so Take Your Eye Off the Ball when salinaa has the ball who wins at the point of attack key number two Home Run Derby so so both of these teams offensively are capable of hitting the big play and I think they’re going to be big plays to be made in this ball game for Salena quarterback Bo Bentley has been absolutely unbelievable I mean what a playmaker he is at the quarterback spot he can throw he can run he can do it all he’s got a pair of running backs in the back field as well in Harrison Williams and Logan gooder they are grinding people out and hitting big plays they are taking on a Kilgore team that has plenty of explosiveness themselves Jade Sanders the Michigan s has been electrifying capable of taking it the distance every time he touches the ball you add in quarterback Cas Brooks who has really grown up into the role and they have big- time home run hitters I think they’re going to be big plays to be made in this ball game which one of these teams makes more of them and key number three The Surge so what’s interesting about this ball game is I think both of these teams have a way of coming at you in waves okay they are the team they don’t score a touchdown and trade scores they’re a team that score a touchdown another touchdown another touchdown they’re an avalanche type team both of these teams Kilgore has a way of turning a one-score lead into a three-score lead like that same thing goes for salel because of their explosiveness and their ability to turn you over on the defensive side and I think a lot of this game is going to come down to which team can stem that tide better right both these teams I think are going to have a run okay s’s going to Rattle off a couple of scores in a row Kilgore is going to Ratt B off a couple scores in a row who can limit it the best my question in this one is who can withstand The Surge who am I picking I’m going with Salena the Bobcats get the nod here on their offensive diversity quarterback Bo Bentley has been absolutely Sensational operating behind that big offensive line and they’re able to run the ball as well and that I think may be the difference in this ball game I have agonized over this pick I think that this is perhaps the toughest game to call in all the state championship games because that front for Kilgore is so relentless and they have those game breakers like K Brooks who stepped up in a huge way at the quarterback spot and Jaden Sanders who is a Human Highlight Reel that’s what’s fascinating about this ball game and I think that this is the kind of game that’s got a couple of lead changes in it and it’s going to come down to who has the ball last in the end I think Salina’s Firepower wins out I think they’ve been the most complete team in 4A division one this year I think the Bobcats win the 4A division one state championship and those are the picks what am I wrong about leave coms ments down below don’t forget that subscribe button follow us on Twitter at dctf like us on Facebook facebook.com/ dve Campell follow us on Instagram instagram.com DAV cames and of course see us at Texas foot.com where you can find complete coverage of the 2024 Texas high school football state championship games at Texas foot.com State thanks for watching enjoy the 4A division one State title game we’ll see you [Applause]
