e hey guys welcome to the stream this is Rod got coming to you live from Swan Lake first nation Manitoba we’re here at Swan Lake first nation Community Hall and we’re here for the 9th Annual Swan Lake first nation eightball tournament it is day two of the event and we’re now into the bside final of the open Division and the East Side final the women’s division was also going on a different table and then after that we have the two championship matches and then the team event team event is scheduled to start in about what is it now so it’s 5 so about an hour from now oh and I got this on I should I take this down hang on I was setting up for the I was setting up for the for the team event so I’ll bring that down right now we’ll start the clock here it is a race to three for Tracy shano who’s in the background there and and Emory ceron is racing to four too much juice on that one he was trying to get the break out missed it completely got to figure something else I know still got the three not the contact point but he can throw it in with some spin that spin will take him right back to where that six ball was or it is time the aall not part of the plan and now he’s got to come up with something different because he can made the six but it’s the shape on the eight that matters and it looks to me like the a might just go past the 13 Ball but I don’t know it would have to be like right to the edge of that face of the pocket maybe missable right so the bank corner will come with short TR so we get a chance at the first table now these two met up in the E side um maybe quarterfinals and Tracy winning that match or sorry yeah it was Tracy that won that match sending emry to the to the B side so for him this is a bit of a Revenge match for sorry I’m just checking my account [Music] oh yeah so I got the EM know I thought it was last minute but I got this um email yesterday I just didn’t know that it was there got make a quick phone call here I think this is still the first rack right yeah people still on the same spot e e e e e e e oh interesting little table here a bit of a battle man eight ball doesn’t go six balls Block in the pocket not a whole lot of breakout options you you can kind of maybe push the stripe to the top right corner to make more mess with the stripes but giving your opponent a ball and hand might get him the breaker that he needs try and create more problems however he can takes intentional foul face has got the advantage here because the six ball even if it goes there’s no F on the aall oh he’s got an angle on the six with good good angle to work for that break on the EG not guarantee he’s going to have a shot though he needs to get off the top then back into the left side cushion for him to have the shot on the aall if he hits the aall directly it can bank across but it may not give him much except for maybe a bank with the pocket being blocked yeah that’s better man just try to get on top a little bit of finesse nice little finesse shot gets him lined up for the eightball to the corner makes the shot to the corner takes the first game one- nothing this is a Revenge match for him after a good start e yeah playing some good music in the [Music] background all right all right all right and we’re now at 5:00 so we’re an hour away from the team event starting up we have three teams are going to get going right at 6:00 um they’re going to do the grand entry first though and then that’s when the event will start to get that done got a nice little table here the three ball is the one that he’s got to figure out though and he really has to figure that one out there’s a bit of a gap between the corner or the the Horn of the side pocket and the three ball so I think you can actually take it on now he’s looking at it like you can take it on now this will get him off that horn and back to the middle of the table I miss the shot I don’t blame him for taking the shot on though cuz I felt like it was the right time to take it I was looking at it and I felt like it was the right time too it just missed the shot that’s all one of the two goes to the side I’m thinking the 13 ball is the one that goes to the side the 15 ball doesn’t look goes at all also goes to the corner she wants to take that on play safety Jason Coleman how you doing says nice setup hit for aall this is where the work gets a little interesting cuz I’m not sure if the three goes to the bottom left corner there’s a little bit of a separation between the threee ball and the 15 so they might go um but then to get back on top for the four that’s going to be a big challenge now I’m assuming you’re going to take the seven ball and probably get on top of the three and that’s what you’re going to want to do but I would have walk around to take a look at the three ball see if he even gos to the bottom left corner the other option will be to take the four but that’s such a long shot and technically you’re going to come down run into that 12 bump it off the rail and then end up not good for the seven think play safety here not a bad choice when there’s a little bit of uncertainty on the Finish you know maybe there’s something that’s just missing or something doesn’t make sense just listen to your instincts stay away from the finish and just play smart and the sooner you play smart the better cuz you know otherwise you got to play smart when you’re in a bad position and when you’re doing that well odds are against you already it’s going to get busy in here soon man because all the teams are going to start coming in they all know they got to start playing at six some of them are going to play at eight but majority of them are playing at six he’s got a ball in hand in this situation oh that four ball is not good though well I’ll have the option for the three or the seven the seven is the shot that is easier and the three is the one that he wants to make though yeah so if we take seven got draw and get on top of that three ball unless it doesn’t go to the bottom of corner then you got to break it out and you have a bit more of a challenge here on this uh reball now oh he missed it that’s a ball in hand for Tracy she’s got to figure out her table go the 15 ball’s in a little bit of trouble so that’s probably where she’s going to try to address things the other area of concern is the 10 and the 11 those are the two areas she’s got to work out with the ball in hand it shouldn’t be too difficult but you never know sometimes cball positioning get just slightly off and then you got to compensate and come up with something different with the ball in hand generally most players will have good control of the table and usually get the finish and she plays pretty good too so feeling like she’s going to have a good chance to get out here oh she was already onto the next shot though already walk around to the next shot so t turned over toine I’m still pretty sure that that three ball gos but tight squeeze look like Trace is getting some coaching advice tips from her husband Kevin Kevin is in the hot seat he won the a side waiting for the winner of this match he’s either going to have a rematch with his wife or he’s going to have a match against Emory I guess it didn’t go there was a small Gap in there so I assumed that it went but he didn’t make the shot he didn’t try to make the shot so definitely didn’t go they didn’t go for it there cuz lineup was there for the corner no problem and the shape for the a was also there choosing to play safe instead tells me that the shop was not available like it looked like he’s just trying to tie things up that’s an intentional foul Tracy should be able to get this ball out in the open from the 13 ball no she’s not going to take that shot maybe she going to try to open it up from three whe angle 21 minutes into this match we’re on to the second rack now at 6:00 we have the team event start we have um two teams playing on the TV tables right have to hop G miss the bank she’s playing a little off today I don’t know man or maybe I just give her too many good opportunities is whatever the case she played really really good against me but she’s having a bit of a struggle in this matchup and I’m thinking more than likely it’s like fatigue you know she’s been playing backto back matches all throughout the morning now in the afternoon and I’m thinking that’s what it is she’s just wearing down she’s had a couple of breaks but not enough breaks where you can like relax reset get ready for the next match has been kind of like you have you know 10 15 minutes to relax and after to you got to play your game again side final Lisa vanam Vernard table three makes the three looks he’s going to get hooked here behind that stripe you almost came around it just the ball came around it worst case scenario here from right now making a shot is going to be difficult jump shot might be all right I think it’s too close for the jump shot though I’d rather go the long rail kick shot or short rail kick shot that work to nice hit kid nice hit he’s going to avoid scratching and giving his opponent a ball in hand but she have a chance to to close out this rack anyway Facebook is really annoying I just Tred shareing the Stream to like three different pages and it was all like back to back and automatically gives me a warning violating Community standards sharing too much for protection of the community like oh my god get over it you’re a platform social media platform you’re not the police get over it man on Facebook fine I’ll get over it too I should know better they always kind of screw me around all the time anyway especially when I go out of town for events like instead of supporting you the platform is supposed to support the Creator it doesn’t support the Creator it takes away from the Creator which is stupid I don’t get it Elon Musk you got to buy out Facebook make it right bring back the news too they don’t want you to get your news from social media because you know you might get some truth out of it they take that away too pass up the match I won laugh uh love having ke Sports his license you guys are going to lose the vehicle he’d be playing tournaments all week drive drive at home yeah yeah but that’s at home yeah oh yeah that’s good you don’t oh you do okay I was going to say yeah yeah it’s a [Music] f same thing if like you’re uh you got the C ball in your hand you accidentally move a ball it’s a fou too cuz it’s in your hand it’s considered like as if it was on the table putting it down same thing yeah and and so like even like let’s say you like throw the ball up table before you break and then it scratches that would be considered a loss of turn right they’re little things that usually don’t come up but yeah oh man first guy to do it all man had to be you I decide to to tape down the legs of my tripod just in case and it came in handy today looking at all the different options that she can play with and she’s not happy with what the options are right now but I can see like she’s really really thinking this table out nice shot that’s one good way to get out looks like she’s got the shot to the side on the fball also needs to find the shot on the three ball now you going look to see if it goes to the side and she figures out that three ball six ball is not that difficult there’s enough room between the six and the 15 for to be able to carve into that six ball and make it oh she missed the shot and she’ll turn the table over to em but she’s blocked the the 15 balls going to get a good chance here still maybe 11 ball is not available either unless it goes right now to the side which if that’s the option you could take it right now um the other option would be to take the 13 ball with a intent to break out the 11 ball it looks like you can make the 11 ball he going for it right now e kind of an interesting pattern here because to get that 15 ball he’s got to use one of the two balls on the bottom left corner and when he does that he’s got to make sure he has an escape shot he’s going to go too far that one way too far he might still be able to cut the nine for sure he’s got the shot on that 14 Ball but doesn’t help him in any way and actually doesn’t really matter technically you can just make that 14 ball to get a different option now this is dangerous here because he’s going all in for the breakout and if he gets a shot on the full team ball is good but if he doesn’t I have to figure out a way out of this trou pretty sure you can break this out just by playing natural Top Spin above medium pace you don’t want to hit it hard but you want to hit it above medium yeah the angle was there he’s going to get lucky on the leave unless yeah I know that’s so he got lucky in to leave I’m looking forward to the team EV that man it’s always exciting lots of great competition I get to see lots of run outs h sure what she’s thinking about him just being conservative it is a battle and it is an important one because whoever went here is guaranteed second place which is 1,200 bucks it’s 750 or 1,200 that’s the choices here and then if you win the tournament it’s uh just under 2,900 for first place really really nice payout a lot of people didn’t come on to the tournament this year um and they didn’t realize it was going to be a lot of money added to the tournament so a really nice event every year this year the payouts are even better than the usual every year um the team I think is set an standard at 3,000 2,000 1,500 pretty sure that’s what they do every year but the singles event this is the first time they put it together for 48 players and and the payout the reason why they were so nice is because they only paid out um top three for this uh division and this tournament every year it’s been well organized they always have good amount of money added to it and they have some pretty good turnouts every year this year I thought it was going to be a quiet year but it turned out to be pretty good for them but there’s a lot of players that are missing from here the last year’s Champions they didn’t come back the runners up aren’t here either some of the top female players from matoba catchman didn’t make it out so there’s a lot of um little things [Music] there good try she made one of those big Banks maybe she can make another one here I’ll come up short on that one which reminds me I got to take a look at the replay nice little Bank Shot here from Tracy shano on the seven ball hit the mark dangerous player I tell you first time I got to play her man and I already got tons of respect for her game top left for the win said Jason pulman uh juls Carol says getting dizzy you getting dizzy are you uh J says Rod is not a foul putting the cuq b in the hole unless you’re actually addressing it with the with your que um from my understanding is if you have the ball in your hand and you’re carrying it over and you drop it in a pocket that is considered a lost turn just it’s like if you’re holding a QQ ball and you touch another ball while you’re trying to move your C ball around for a shot that’s considered a foul also because a q ball in your hand your hand is like irrelevant it’s the fact that the Q ball was in your hand so they counted as a foul now I don’t know if they change those rules but that that was the rules a few years ago and they did make a couple of changes on some other rules I could be wrong but this is understanding that we had from a few different people they all kind of came up with the same same rule that was that way uh Jean how you doing Jean on Facebook says Hey Ron I just researched about peppermint and it’s true helps to focus memory alertness it’s relaxing to the brain all good for cool cool I’m just going to do like peppermint everything then I’m in I’m in and so is Tracy right now to0 yeah that was a beautiful shot sure Jason well she’s on the hill and going for the kill he slaughtered me at 3 to one yesterday and she was playing a really good game having a bit of a rough game today but still on control still up 21 with a chance to make it 3-1 in this match YouTube J says why is there a bracket sheet it’s on digital pool Jules you can look it under under slfn there’s not going to be any other tournaments that come up under that uh abbreviation slfn for Swan Lake first nation um and then you’ll see all the brackets there there’ll be a practice one there’ll be a ladies an open Division and teams each one of them has a separate bracket or separate um link uh Jo says if you just put the CQ ball and the hole in is not lost or break unless you were addressing the cuq with your Que H so I’m going to what I’m going to do is I’m going to become a ref um like an official ref I’m going to go to when if I get a chance to go back to Vegas again this year coming up I’m going to get my uh ref degree out there certification from if I can bnaa but for sure ACS I’m also looking to get my certification for uh coaching training a lot of people say I’m a good coach and a great a great teacher but um until you have credentials it’s hard to prove that you are right so I’m going to get some credentials and we’ll see how that works now we’re at 5:30 the grand entry starts at around 10 to 6 um if it’s on time cuz last year we were a little bit late um if it is on time and they start at 6:00 or 10 to 600 then that means we were not going to be able to watch the next match which will be the championship match we’ll end up going straight to the team event I’m going to go ask them about that I’ll be right back they’re they’re right beside me so it won’t take me more than a couple of minutes than e I’m whatever you guys decide I just look into AE of time because of the time right all right we may or may not have a championship match for the open division the ladies um championship match they didn’t want to play on the TV table so they’re playing on a table away from the TV tables and it wasn’t just like one player it was a bunch of different female players that didn’t want to play on the TV table so you got to respect their their wishes and not put them on the Stream I still can’t believe it’s $1,900 for first first place for the open division man it’s a pretty nice weekend doesn’t even matter if you do good or not on the team event that’s just bonus icing on the cake so to speak well Tracy has a ball in hand and she’s got a chance to be able to do something with it looks like she’s thinking about a safety here on just a shot for it’s a bit of a grind out here andry doesn’t really want to give too much of an opportunity on the table because his opponent Tracy’s on the hill so he’s got to be very careful with the opportunities he gives her did morning oh what a shot he’s been making some big shots in this match so far there’s another one now she has a shot in the corner for the two looks like she maybe even make the one ball if she can make the one ball she’s out if she can’t make the one ball then she’s got to find a shot on the one ball to get out she’s lying out the one ball right now I just want you guys to see this beautiful cross Bank nice shot and she made the one ball to the corner got the shot on the two eightball shape is all that’s left after this two ball for her to win 3 to one I’m thinking they’re probably not going to play if it’s husband and wife for a championship match but they did play the aside final makes the shot she’s going to try to get something on the eightball ends up tough on it made a couple of bangs so far though so she might come open another one here this time it will be for the wind got to look at the angle see what she’s got to work with kid got to turn this opportunity into a win he’s got no choice almost done the pattern here 10 draw over for the 14 ball he’s got the option to make the 15 as well the 14 sets them up for the 15 the 15 sets them up for the natural angle on the eight just the a to tie up a t i make the shot it’s tied at two and just so you guys know underneath the timer the match timer bide final that’s where we’re at right now in this match up bide final comments YouTube is good Facebook uh tth suie Clark says great hit T McKay Tracy on the eightball Carol says did you get some banic I didn’t man but I will thought she was going to bank it I thought she was going to bank it too because she’s made a couple of big Banks already man I’m surprised she didn’t really really surprised but the stream Bob wolf Dave burington Dwight one disc Kevin K welcome to the stream we’re going on a stroke says Matthew Matthew yeah man the mob stroke that’s like when you need to put a little bit of left rights on a shot that might have taken you a minute to think about that one left right so that means you’re doing both at the same time you can only do that with this uh Mob stroke Grand entry in about 15 minutes going to get a good hit and shoys a scratch and gets a good leave out of it too wow a little bit of medicine used on that one the native people here always choke around about that whenever somebody wins they say it’s medicine that’s how they won I was making a reference to that yeah he’s in a tough spot here I like this option the only thing is you got to hit it clean cuz the A’s right there if you make the shot though you’re going to get out and she’s made a couple of big shots so far and this could be one of the best ones at all of them e option number two would be the jump shot on the five but the problem with the jump shot is that you won’t really get a shot on the three so it’s kind of pointless to do last shot she has got to be patient here waiting for an opportunity to close out this turn over here could be costly especially because of the position where the Q ball landed gives em a lot of different opportunities here to get this pattern solved and he really doesn’t have to do any breakouts he just has to make a shot get into that n then you have the 14 the 12 $425 for third place Amanda Blackbird congratulations that’s the women’s division they got to get her to come and take a picture by the way if you guys are enjoying the stream and these awesome matches that are going to be com throughout the day and have gone throughout the day um you can always support the stream by liking the stream you can also share the stream if you want to the different pool Pages I’ll leave that on you if you think it’s some really good coverage then yeah do it you don’t then don’t no big deal but liking the stream is a good thing especially because the people that that organize this event they’re really really good people like I’m telling you like really really good people um I didn’t know how good of people they were until last year and when I had a mishap some of you guys that followed my old Facebook account kind of knew what happened but last year I came out to cover the event and um I ended up leaving in a rush because I had to get back home I don’t remember why but I had to get back home for for a reason so I ended up rushing to get back home when I got home well first of all I at the end of the tournament on Sunday um I could have just left right away but instead decided to spend some time with the kids including the one that’s playing at the table right now he show them a little bit more about key ball control and and grip and advanced fundamentals um so we got a chance to work with them for maybe about two hours that day um but I I didn’t realize how much time i’ gone by so like I was supposed to be home by 9:00 when I looked at the time it was almost 9:00 and I was still teaching these kids some of that advanced Master Level stuff that I know um so then I was like oh I got to go so I kind of rushed down I grabbed all my bags put everything around me and I hauled everything all at once instead of hauling it in different trips right cuz I was trying to save some time I’m trying to rush anyways long story short I get to Winn Pig and then whatever I go inside and I’m you know talking to my family L and that and I decided to go look for the money and uh when I looked for the money I realized that I didn’t have the money on me and now I’m stressed out because it’s Christmas time right it’s just around the corner last year they had it in December um so to me I was a little bit stressed out because that was supposed to be like what made or break or broke our our Christmas right like we’re going to get some some good stuff for the kids or we weren’t um and one of the things that like I didn’t expect was for me to lose the envelope so I was like in a bit of a State of Shock and the next day I wrote a letter saying Hey listen like I did a post on Facebook if if you found the money and your your family needed the money more than I do I’m okay with that man you know like I just want to know that the money has been found right and if if it’s you and you have this money and your family needs it that’s all good man you know Merry Christmas type thing I was accepting the fact that you know I lost the money and I was okay with anybody else having it as long as they needed the money and it was going to help them out for their family cuz in the end that’s what it was going to do for me but my family will find a way to survive no matter what maybe their family wouldn’t so that’s the way I left it out right and I guess um moving on from there the people here are the organizers um they they seen what happened and immediately they got to work they they just said hey you know what like rod works hard for the game he does all this stuff and if you guys want to like help get the money back we’re doing a 50/50 the goal is to get $1,000 to get into his hands so that way they have a better Christmas type thing and uh right away the whole Community responded and they ended up you know getting that money together and then like I think it was one day or two days I went by but we found out from knocking on doors that our neighbor had found that envelope um they didn’t spend the money because they didn’t know if it was going to be one of their neighbors money they don’t know like it’s it’s you know a lot of money in an envelope right so they’re thinking that could be like a drug deal gone bad or you know maybe somebody’s going to be looking for that because it’s like a debt money or something whatever the case is the fear of God went into their minds and they decided not to spend that money then when my wife knocked on the door and asked about it they like said oh yeah here you go like they found the money they didn’t want to spend it and now we wanted to give them you know a reward but they refused to take a reward because in their minds is like well you know we did the right thing that’s all we needed to do um so then I told the guys in in the committee here at Swan Lake that Hey listen like the money was found I don’t need this money you guys can return the money to everybody and and I’m good with that but then they decided to just do it anyway they’re like you know what we’re going to we’re going to do this for Rod because he does all this work for pool in Manitoba and you know we just want to have a good Christmas with his family so they end up giv me the extra money and I never I never meant for that to go that way but the fact that they did all that showed me that you know they’re real human beings that care about people they could have easily have said you know what we paid you your money I’m sorry man not my fault you know the envelope was handed to you so live with it instead to say you know what this is a good guy Let’s help him all let’s do something extra maybe you know it’ll work out for him for his family and honestly if they didn’t do that I don’t know where I would have been that year but I ended up find the money right so like um I’m grateful for the fact they did that and at the same time you know like I felt like it was too much cuz I just wanted my money back I didn’t want anything extra but I understood what they were doing it for my wife says look man if somebody’s going to do something good for you you just got to accept it and you know don’t don’t kiss the horse in the mouth type thing right like just accept what’s being given to you and just pay it forward when you have a chance type thing I was like okay I’ll do that um but that’s what I’m the reason I’m explaining all this cuz I want you to understand that the people that run this this event are really good people legitimately good people um so when you guys support their event by coming out to play in their event you’re doing something good for good people you’re supporting their cause um and I’m telling you right now they’ll do anything for any of the people that come on and play in the EV they show that to me last year by taking care of me when they didn’t have to I’m sure if you get into position where you need to be held or taken care of they’re going to take care of you and they’re going to be there for you and that’s the reason why I’m saying if you guys want to like the stream it’s a good good cause I mean these are great people that deserve to you know be appreciated for all that they do in life not just the pool tournament itself you don’t have to like it if you don’t want to though you know it’s up to you and just so you know when you like somebody’s stream it’s not costing you anything you’re not losing anything in any way nobody’s going to look down on you if anything they’re going to say you know what good for you for supporting the streamer because without your support we don’t go anywhere and now like I usually say like our streamers can sit there and ask for money all the time like I won’t stream until you pay me right like that but usually I know like myself anyway I’m a passionate pool player that loves the game so for me I just go and do my thing man other people may not but I do I don’t even know where I was going with I was going somewhere with that but I forgot either way what I was trying to get out though is if you guys can support the stream by um liking the stream I’m sure they’re going to appreciate seeing the results from people being engaged into the into the tournament for them and it’s three days of a lot of work for these people I’m telling you it’s not just the three days you know of the tournament I mean that’s a lot of work too but it’s the the weeks and months leading to the tournament dat all the efforts they got to do because of it and I do a lot of tournaments out there but usually my tournaments are like one day sometimes two Dar and that’s it the two-day ones that kind of get me exhausted never mind doing a three-day like they do and they’re doing like women’s singles open Singles Plus a team event and the Juniors a lot of extra effort there and the pool committee that organizes this also adds money to the tournament I think it’s just over 10,000 they added to the tournament this this tournament it usually doesn’t get announced they usually don’t like say hey we’re adding this money because then everybody comes up for the money um the way they look at it is like if the people are going to come and support the event then the money will be put in there if they don’t the money will still be put in there and whoever comes out to the event we have to work a little bit a little less harder in order for him to win the money that’s all and that’s kind of the case what happened uh this year with the singles a lot of people were like not playing the singles thinking you know like it wasn’t going to be worth it and then ended up being $2,000 for first place so little surprise right there one day of pool two grind is actually a pretty good day for me oh Trac is going to get a nice chance here to close out once again is it 43 I think it’s 43 work things out on table one biggest concern he’s got is the 11 ball and then 13 ball oh nice try he made a jump over the rail but he didn’t get the contact so ball in hand for Dad andage he’ll get the work chance to win this match for team to take all the pressure off from Ry mod this is a nice effort from Shadow on table team hard to make this shot work man but he almost made it work so close would open up the shot on the seven ball which would also give you the attempt to get onto the free ball from there he might feel like he’s committed to trying to get onto these balls so see side pocket it looks like trying to spin into that area worst thing that could happen to him is if he runs into the sols and tie up against the a it would give him another chance to the table eventually tournament and I didn’t even take advantage of it horrible I know what I did wrong too like I ended up breaking about an inch over to the right further than I usually do and that angle right there made me a scratch angle so all all I got to do is a correction maybe a half inch over to the left and then I should be good from the scratch these guys have like a complete team that we’re playing against they every one of them can shoot every one of them can break and run tables and the team that I’m playing with with the Camerons they can do that too so this this match could be like a crazy match up we’ll see right now it’s got the signs of it man I mean we were up I think it was like 20 points and close game then up again then now close game again they’re going to scratch the qball on table two which going to bring at least to the table she have a chance to take over that table now that a great break though a lot of work at the table for her depending on what she decides to take first though she goes you know Stripes maybe a little bit easier you would have to rely on that ball ball to break everything open in the top right corner if you take low ball you’re not that bad then you would have to start off with that 137 combo and try to open up that four ball while you’re doing that come on girl pick me up man with a nasty loss that I took against a good player too if I win that game it changes the game this format compling I need ear to deliver a win here for me you might have gone a little bit too far for that n ball maybe makes a great shot to the corner though he’s still trying to figure out what she’s going to do on table two it’s really difficult to figure out what you want to do on that table you kind of look towards the sols like I can do this you look at the stripes like I can do this too and basically you got to make the decision on what’s the easiest way to get out and both of them require a little bit of work taking the solid would help her probably the best but a lot of work from there too because like I said you got to make a decision play the combo 13 to the seven or get onto that four ball and break it out whatever you’re going to do or play the combo 9 to the four try to break out the seven from there that would have been another option too going to go with the stripes me bro he’s going to make a beautiful shot good job buddy line off the break and I usually don’t take sides and any kind of streaming that I do but I’m playing on this one so I got to root for my team usually neutral though like 95% of the times a neutral times um you’re going to get away with some nasty shots I shouldn’t have gone in but what makes these tables difficult is the speed of the cloth and the rails every table usually a little different so you got to adapt it’s going to be a foul on table two I wonder if at least the stripes are solids here if she’s solid I would just have that aall on top of the 10 to force him to have to like figure out how to get that aall out without scratching it I think that would probably be the best option if she Stripes then she’s got the option to open up that table on the top right corner which could create some problems if she doesn’t um see the outcome ahead of time meaning which way that seven will go or which way that 13 will react off the rail that can plug up the pocket just a shot so I’m assuming she’s is she high ball or low ball if she was high ball I think she would have gone for something already no no cuz she’s being smart good job kid be smart you force him in a bad spot all right and emy’s got to figure out the finish on his table right now he’s got three balls remaining plus the E the seven balls the challenge though he’s got to get that out might take a stab at that and part of that was because of a loss that I took I took a loss to Ren gager W disca and because I broke it ended up scratching off the break he ran me out for a 10 nothing win but the momentum changer was right after that because that was a moment that’s supposed to deflate us we’re supposed to like oh man I can’t believe I just got R out 10 nothing right but then Earl came up to the next match up or the next table and uh he ended up winning that game with a score of 10 to one which ended up resetting the the deficit from where I lost my game then following that I ended up run running out on the table for 10 nothing which gave us a nice little boost and then from there the rest of the team just kind of delivered as we went through the racks and I was trying to deliver another run out there but I got jammed up and it was just unfortunate CU I tried like two times to break out the fourball and never came off the ra then my opponent jumps the ball and he opens up my fourball and I’m thinking like okay awesome I’m going to have a shot but I had no shot then I have to come up with some trickery and then that that four ball you know just it seemed to be the curse for me man next time I play as soon as I see a fourball I’m just going to make it get it out of the way guy’s working out this table pretty good I’m not sure who he is but got some skill behind his game he’s got the really though the breakouts are a little bit simpler except for the 11 ball eightball being where it is you might want to just take the SS excuse me because then that aall will block that 11 ball it be tougher for her opponent to be able to get onto 11 ball and it almost looks she has a shot to the side on the six ball right now she does I would give her the tangent line to break out that too just not sure if she sees it or if she wants to go for it and that table one just looks nasty man like a one pocket match and the other guy has got the pocket on the right so he’s pushing everything to the right that’s what it looks like right now there’s a game with Champions right there one pocket man very difficult so much strategy behind it though you know that it’s good for your game improves your bank game improves your safety game your pattern play all that stuff favorite game for me to play though is straight bow I love it man I don’t understand why people are scared of it it’s such a beautiful game like snooker Everybody’s scared of snooker too and I don’t understand why like once you get to the table and you start playing you start figuring out how to make the shots in the pocket it’s one of the most beautiful games you can play demands you to be at your best all the time which that’s what you want right you want to be able to compete at that level all the time I’m going to be getting my practice time at bourbon again next week and I’m going to start hitting the snooker table again I just bought a nice um 3/4 snucker que a paradon snucker queue with an extension and a case the only thing I don’t like about is it looks to me like it was a 6 mm tip but according to the web website it says that it’s 9 or 10 which it has to be on the nine side I’m assuming that’s the only part I don’t like I like playing with about a 10 inch 10 in 10 mm tip or snooker and the reason why is because uh it helps you for the longer potting right it’s not really good for when you get into that pack into the Reds to work red black that’s where you want something smaller like a seven or or 8 mm even as low as six cuz now if you get a 6 mm it’s like a pencil right you can get some really really great positional play in that area but um I don’t prefer any of them i’ rather play with a 10 mm but 9 mm isn’t that bad it’s a little bit off but whatever I’m going to try it out see how it goes maybe it’ll help me out with my pattern play on the on the Reds oh just avoided the scratch on table too man barely got the shot to the side on the six ball too oh she going a scratch on the side that gave me a flashback on my shot earlier in the day when I ended up forfeiting I forfeited a match I shouldn’t have done that just felt guilty about not being on the stream and doing the streaming and the more that I play the less that I wanted to play because I just want to focus on my job and in the end I ended up forfeiting that match and we went quiet for for like 2 hours so technically I didn’t have to do that I could have just played that match peacefully not worried about the stream at all and I would have been fine what disappoints more than anything though is the fact that I was willing to give in giv up which I normally don’t usually the no quit kind of guy right and doesn’t matter I can be down four nothing and the other guy could be running out every table and if I get a shot at the table I’ll try my best that wasn’t the case today so going to try to do my best to make it up throughout the team and then I’m a little bit more responsible and better on into the match oh L’s going to make both shots right there not sure if she was trying to leave one for a setup but she’s still okay talking about table one she got the shot on the 11 ball to squeeze by two ball top left corner at the very least she’s got to move that ball out of the way and then take over the pocket that will give her another chance of make the shot though I wonder if she can squeeze that ball or Tempo whatever it is not looking good does here get right up against that one ball not a good situation to be in but there’s a possibility of a kick combo anything going to miss the solid or the stripes it’s a ball in hand for Tom Walker from te scon he’s a bit of a fast-paced player but this table isn’t easy I mean it isn’t it isn’t you got to basically work this first shot out and then after that the table’s open lucky to have that two ball over the pocket so he’s going to take the five ball on though he’s got a nice Block in that corner so he figures there’s no point of rushing to open that up and leave it there for almost the finish what I don’t like about this is where the seven ball is the shot he’s got to get out of the way so maybe a combination here to the two would be great he’s going to play a two ball straight need to find the perfect window on something have couple different options but my pocket is likely the way it’s going to go maybe spin up get into that AAL open that up he’s going to leave it alone and now he’s gone a little bit too far so he’s going have to come up with a different shot oh really nice try oh and if that ball would have gone in it might have been perfect but he’s going to leave an attempt here a shot for L mckin from Team 283 make the first shot 10 balls just hting by the pocket the ball shape on the a now ‘s going to skit off the top real slightly but she’s still going to come down and get the angle on the a to make it to the pocket the only problem here is that you’re against the rail so there going to be a little bit of deflection it shouldn’t be too much and should win that game with a score of 10 to five 32 to 27 e draw from W on table too mik mckenny from Team 23 at the table on table one Mike just three balls away from finishing this table for a big win for his team going to have a tough time trying to find something for 11 ball though it looks like he might be able to cheat the shot pass the four on the top left corner now because the ball is where it is for the next shot that he’s about to take right now that gives him all sorts of options for how he wants to play Shape here going to go for the drawback going to freeze up against the 11 ball a little bit of a gap between him so if it goes to the corner he’ll have the shots still now he’s going have to come up with something different I think I seen him just going to the side pockets he’s looking for a kick shot side going to miss the 11 ball in scratch barl Cameron will get ball in hand and a chance to help his team get a little closer in this match currently down by five pretty open table got to work the bottom and then go back to the top lucky he didn’t scratch there and lucky that he got the two ball to the side pocket but rack the nice thing about the matchup that I just played on is that I beat both the players that were the ones that I had to worry about and now the other ones is not that I don’t have to worry about them but I can breathe a little bit because the two players I can run tables all the time are the ones that I just defeated to stay on right now is doing a good job on table number one for team 283 almost got this puzzle figured out I actually don’t mind taking the two ball here if you can see the shot but if not then he’s got to find a way to get onto that two ball that one you get just above it and make it to the bottom right corner or the right side middle pocket he going to get above and he’s going to end up getting maybe the left side middle pocket good news about this is that you know he’s got a 11 ball which will slow on the Q ball the bad news is that he may not have a shot on the after Hees shot need to hit it with a little bitra that’s what the challenge more speed you put on the shot the hard that Ang yeah so that was the problem but he’s kind of sort of got a I need to use a reach or something like that that’s what he’s looking at maybe a q extension or a reach be able to get on it [Music] not an easy shot it looks like it’s you know just contact but got to put a lot of pace on it he’s going to make the shot no problem that was a 10 to four win for game 283 59 to 47 make the nine off the one in the top right corner only thing is that if you go for that shot you might push that a on top that looking for a safety option or just looking to see what she can do these are the last matches of the night so when this match is done that’s it there’s no more of the matches till tomorrow and I think we’re coming back to start the matches at 11 o’ tomorrow I got to still be here for a while because I got to get everything set up cameras and all that for tomorrow not bad not bad at all go pretty good lla McKinny working the table on on table one right now she got a nice little setup here she’ll change the table a little bit but still looks okay on table this ball that she’s got to deal with is the 11 ball because it has in the pocket doesn’t have the shot on the ground there because that’s a big win for them and girl’s going to miss this shot still in a decent spot though nothing available on the 11 ball Brian’s going to come out on top on that rag winning with a score of 10 to five 69 to [Music] 52 made a killer Bank on this one ball on table [Music] too absolutely nailed it and got through for the shot after that oh and a big shot from Lyla McKenna nice little shot there that was the only troll bow she had and she got it into the pocket off the bank adrenaline pumping right now but she’s still under control bumping into that 15 ball may not help though but she might be able to do like a backpack combo oh she’s going for the 13 I think the back combo might be available there almost made the 13 ball barl Cameron back to the table team is currently down by 17 winning this game with a 10 to five score will make that a 12 G deficit 12 point deficit Mike mcken is going to miss the shot on table too turning the table over to Wanda I’ll have a chance to help our team as well e e that’s the void of the scratch on table two and I missed that score on table one 7462 e e e e e e right so the score is 74- 62 still looks like Mike mcken is about to make the eight ball for team 283 a 10 to five win 8467 and they’re getting into that crazy part of the match now as they move into the last Rack or sorry the last round I think they’re at the end of the third round right now on these two racks and then they’re going to start the fourth round after that which is the last round all right so the score is accurate 84 to 67 17 points down now I usually don’t pick like sides and I try not to root for anybody I try to be neutral all the time but I’m rooting for my team because I’m playing on it and I’m also rooting for scoten because they’re the organizers man and I want to see them have a good year every year they always get right before the money and then they end up losing this year they have a good chance to be able to get a little bit further but they got to survive this match right now down by 17 Tim bone looking to help team out here a little bit I’ll make it a 13-point difference if you can find the Finish table two is a bit of a mess but some good opportunity there lots of breakout angles available for that table on table one if he’s going to take the shot on the three ball he’s got to do a left hand draw shot on it and that’s going to come off the cushion and back to the right which may not give him the shot that he’s looking for yeah yeah e matchup in my match up is getting a little intense man everybody trying to run tables right now it’s crazy I’m the only one that’s being like civil you know I’m just making sure and if I don’t see it I play a safety I’m just making sure all around playing the standard that I usually play at you know a little bit methodical maybe not so much slow paced anymore because I’m playing a lot faster nowadays but doing my best to try to win every round and it looks like the other table is just like the other team is just trying to run every table of the can go for the side you’ll be all right 50/50 Mark cut to the corner or cut to the side the cut to the corner is the way he should go but it’s a more difficult shot cut to the side is extremely difficult but might be the better way to go he’s going to miss that shot Brian Spence from 28 three is going to have a chance to get his team a little bit further ahead right now they’re up by 17 make the shot to the corner looking for shape on the a he’s going to get the shot to the side came all smelling like roses 10 to s I gotta go see these guys cuz I PID for a sandwich and they’re trying to close up e or is true 94 to 74 and we keep on rocking getting close to the end of the night this is the last match of the night to abandon ship once again but I’m doing my best in between racks to come here update scores and talk a little bit about the game and give you guys a little bit of insight W’s going to make a ball off the break on table one we’re team down by 20 right now so really good rack for to be able to get our team A Little Closer on this match only one breakout that she has to worry about and she can actually start off with the combo on the five to the uh 15 I think it is top left corner that’s the way I would start am I up again darl maybe not might be up next after this one I’m up okay I’ll be back guys is e e e e e e e well I got ran out by player that I didn’t think I would have to worry too much about I figured like he’s been losing a lot of his games but he came up against me broken around the table out man I’m just looking at him like take it easy guy he must have heard about me or something man but it’s good I mean every time I play in in an event like this usually the teams are trying to get after me they know if they give me a the table I’m usually going to come through and win I need my team to pull through for me I W two of my three games so far but the last one was a 10 one loss oh nice try W oh team 283 chance to maybe close out the match here well they’re going to turn over both tables scon with a chance to be able to get back in the match here winning both these games let’s see so that’s uh it’ll be a 10-4 win Point difference that makes it down to 14 now if Tom can win on that table the 10 to six for bring it down to 10 point difference with couple of racks left really intense stuff right there man the eall that the player made against me at the end was so gross he hit it from a diamond and a half off the right cushion and it went in diamond and a half almost two diamonds man straight to the pocket banked it in this is the the reason why I like playing tournaments on these tables man because people can just slop balls in and get away with it if you play on like a nine forward with type Pockets or a seven FL like a diamond different story you can’t shat those Pockets now those players have a tougher time to win but players that are able to play on those tables usually have a better chance to win don’t get me wrong though the valleys are tough man speed of the table the speed of the Rails all those kind of things matter on these uh valys but one thing that gives you a nice little leeway you sho the pocket deep big break from Tim bone on table one trying to get his team back in it one to one 10 to4 and four so [Music] 84 98 that’s that uh 14o difference right there that I was talking about this match can go either way it can go to the very last Rack or it could be done here in a couple of racks TR to work it out man doesn’t have a finish though there’s no shot on the seven no shot on the three or the six maybe the seven but it looks like a really tight squeeze past the two strikes and even if he makes that shot there’s not much of a followup shot after that tables like this is usually where I’m trying to look for a safety ahead of time and not when I have to which right now he’s at that point where he has to unless he can make the seven at the very least he’s going to take over the pocket which is going to give him a chance anyway for good hit on table two void’s giving his opponent the ball in hand but Tom will have a chance at this table and the five Ball’s gone in a bad spot which means that Tom’s going to have even more of an opportunity here got some protection a boy Emory nice win from the kid over there 10 to one we have the open division singles which continue on to day two today um Kevin Cardinal winning the championship match against Emory Cameron so uh 1900 for um Kevin and 12200 for Emory then the women’s division that one also concluded today and we had uh Tracy Bernard won it against Lisa vanam congratulations ladies and then the team event was uh going on until now we have the aside final tomorrow which is going to be later probably won’t be till like 2:00 or something like that um and then we have all the bside elimination matches the quarterfinal rounds and that’s going to start at 11: o’ so we’re going to have all the quarterfinals running then the bside semi at the same time we’ll probably get the aside final going that should take us to the B-side final in the championship match looking to finish the day probably around like 7 o’ if if my calculations are right it might be a little bit earli depending but I’m thinking that most teams are going to take a little bit longer um with all the matches because it’s going to you know there’s money on the line right so instead of an hour and a half match it likely be a 2-hour match but whatever the case T in tomorrow you’re going to watch all this exciting competition here on Swan Lake first nation and yeah I’m looking forward to it man I mean I’m coming back to play so obviously I’m looking forward to it uh no last highlight so we’ll go to the pool wisdom and it’s uh Francisco bante with a little bit of advice here says the pursuit of greatness demands an unwavering commitment to Improvement and what that means is that if you want to be a great player you have to fully dive in man my sandwich all right I had to ask about my sandwich M CU I haven’t had supper yet so this is my supper right now um all
