The 6-foot, 192-pound forward was recalled by the Canadiens Monday morning from AHL Laval, where he had been demoted in early October after being one of Montrealโs final training camp cuts.
Instead of boarding a bus to Hershey, Pa., for the start of a four-game Rocket road trip, Roy was on the ice at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard and is expected to play Tuesday night, when the Canadiens host the Utah Hockey Club at the Bell Centre.

Roy, a left-winger, practised on a line with Jake Evans and Emil Heineman. He received the news of his promotion Sunday night from Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent. Roy said he was packing for Lavalโs upcoming trip at the time.
โFor sure Iโm happy to be here and to be back,โ Roy said following practice and a video session that followed the workout. โThe main goal is to be in the NHL.

Joshua the boy Roy is coming back Wawa it’s going to be incredible seeing him return to the team I think he’s going to really give the team a shot in the arm listen I’ll be the first to admit he was not very exciting during the preseason but what he’s been able to do down in Laval and the rocket in the AHL it’s been incredible and it’s exactly what the Canadians need right now on the team can he trying to send a message to which he said something like there’s no message but I want them to know that they need to do better or something like that wait I’ll I’ll find out with the quote for sure here it is this is hilarious I don’t know if it’s a message on the board they’re probably the fourth line when the game starts it’s about how you handle yourself is it a message I don’t think it’s a question how come they’re playing like they’re 5’2 143 lb no offense to my 5’2 viewers but it’s getting a little ridiculous there are certain expectations from you when you’re playing on the first or second l or both in the case of SLA and dock so it became public not so long ago that Hughes and Gorton were looking for some gritty offense up front a forward with Edge I think was what they were saying I’m guessing the hunt isn’t going very well it’s so difficult to find trades during the season instead of offseason and at trade deadline you know teams don’t necessarily have the cap space to be making trades even if they are looking to to offload a player and while Montreal does have a little bit of space to play with and could potentially offload veteran players that they’ve been meaning to get rid of Kent Hughes affirmed that he didn’t want to sell Montreal’s future for a quick payoff so they would be looking for a younger player who might be somewhat of a bargain hoping on potential development space so they’re looking for a unicorn and it’s just not going to happen Philip thomasino was recently acquired by the Pittsburgh Penguins this is after the Penguins announced that they’re having a fire sale on all of their veteran players no one is safe except Sydney Crosby according to GM Kevin Dumas did I just call him Kevin Dumas what’s his name the Kyle Dumas I’m trying not to devote his name to memory because I don’t think we’ll see him for very much longer anyway since the Penguins had announced a fire sale the New York Rangers have also announced that they’re willing to trade pretty well any player but the names that were mentioned specifically trouba krider we don’t like Chris krider but panarin is in year six of seven of his contract he he must be available right saying that he’s going to be trying his hardest but why does playing so poorly make you want to try your hardest suddenly shouldn’t you always be wanting to try your hardest he’s out there and and I compare him to like Eeyore from Winnie the Poop he’s mopy he’s kind of just kind of looking like he’s lost and disappointed all the time like dude something about it I hope that doesn’t come off negative I’m like calling it as I see it obviously he’s a professional athlete and he does want to exceed Excel succeed they’re not built like a lot of us they have competitive Drive they want to succeed when they’re not yeah they can be put into a funk but it’s not acceptable to just be in a funk and be fine with it I don’t know I’m rooting for you doc but there’s reactionary donkeys saying that they need to trade you there’s individuals who are saying that you’re not NH caliber player so it’s time to prove yourself you’ve had long enough I know you’re out for a while there but things are starting to bleed through do you agree with me do you think he needs more time is the fan base being too hard on Doc let me know what you think in the comments the other pieces of this is that Montreal still had one space to bench they had 22 players you’re allowed to have 23 players on the team and you can bench up to three players I think I have that right so they’ve been benching petta and baron Baron shubble Jacy but is it seems that jacki’s kind of solidified his spot huh and stribble become the favorite over Baron a little bit that could change though anyway they have three spots and it was only being soaked up by two so then inviting W back to the team that’s okay because you could just put someone on reserve right wrong they put kandada down to Laval I really liked having him on the team I thought he was really doing some things out there even got that goal but if you’re going to choose between kod Haman I guess they could have put Aria down again I guess uh they did what they did because what this feels like is L could be making his return sooner than later that or they might be allowing Raphael Harvey panar to come back up soon as well he’s currently on a conditioning stin and I believe they can have him down there for six games correct me if I’m wrong there’s a lot of chuckleheads that are saying why didn’t you send SLA down or why did you send doc down but that’s just insulting their their Investments on the team they they would never do anything like that I don’t know if these people are being serious because at this point I’ve been seeing insane takes all over the place but because I frequent Montreal Canadians forums more often I’m seeing them a lot there there a lot of people that want us to get Chris leang from the Penguins I think I’ve even seen someone say why don’t we get kale mcar when he becomes available what there’s a question for you what’s the most insane or idiotic take that you’ve ever seen online let me know in the
