second start of the Season Justin deim keeps his place in the squad after impressing on his senior debut last time out and he will be supporting Jean phelip mateta who has scored his most lead goals against assass Villa he leads the palace attack Nathaniel Klein drops to the bench attack Nathaniel Klein drops to the benchi kamada is suspended following his sending off in the last game number so a big game for both sides then and of course Crystal Palace still stuck in that relegation Zone they’ll be hoping that they can start climbing out of that Aston Villa on the back of four defeats in a row in all competitions and they desperately need their look to turn as well because they will still have that weight of expectation on their shoulders Coury yeah and look they’ve had a good start to the season it was sort of marred wasn’t it by the the few games um towards the end of the international break but if you look at the Premier League table it’s so so tight in there um so three points today completely change the complexion yet [Music] again now Mata looking to play it forward and this looks promising ishma assar could go all the way and he does what a start that is for Crystal Palace ishma assar saw his moment and he took it perfect start for oliv glna and here’s Crystal Palace side it’s absolutely brilliant and I love this from Matata the way that he comes in collects the ball protects it the weight of pass into his teammate is absolutely exceptional and we know that sar’s got electric pace so once he gets that ball under control I think know what the result will be if he can keep his composure but this what I’m talking about here the little drop of the shoulder from Mata the weight of pass is exceptional and that first touch from Saw just sets him off because he can chase after it matson’s going to have a job even him he’s got a bit of pace about him but he’s not going to catch s when he gets himself in front there keeps calm keeps collected and then can you beat the goalkeeper yes he can it’s a very cool composed finish and it’s the best possible start for Crystal Palace here well it’s the perfect moment to score your First Premier League goal of the season for asaar and that’s exactly what Crystal Palace needed as well a huge confidence boost to start this game for [Applause] them over looking for Bailey red then he looking to send SAR on his way again black stays down for now it’s s again cuts it across to Mata oh can you believe it well what a chance there’s a lot going on here I think initially SAR is offside yeah the flag did go up wrong I don’t think he should miss it in the way that he does but you see it just pulls mateta wide and then he’s always struggling to try and wrap his foot around it and get the angle back there’s mcin looking to send it on to Watkins still Watkins there’s The Equalizer there’s the answer they we’re looking for and of course it’s OE Watkins 1-1 well finally these Villa fans have got something to cheer about and olle Watkins there conducting the crowd and rightly so I love how hard this man works his work rate his work ethic is incredible and he’s had to keep making these runs and he’s not got the ball but finally he gets a good one he doesn’t get frustrated he doesn’t moan he just keeps making the runs and you see there it’s brilliant in between the Defenders at that point he knows that Henderson is rushing out so he’s just got to B his time take a touch round goalkeeper so confidently and you know at this point it’s an open net there’s only one thing that OE Watkins is going to do Slide the ball in the back of the net and it’s good quick play from Aston Villa and it’s precise and of course that man there gets a [Applause] goal such a nuisance though isn’t he olle Watkins because as soon as that ball breaks in the middle you see off again off the back shoulder he’s ready to go give me the ball he wants it he’s well out to Bailey Bailey takes it this time stopped by the woodwork Tans Bailey again keeps it alive and straight into the hands though of Henderson W my word did he hit that well I’m thinking at the time play it into the middle play it into hly Watkins but again this this is the fast break from Aston Villa does ever so well Bailey and I’m thinking there play it to Wally Watkins he’s in the middle on his own but I tell you what if that goes in it’s a spectacular goal the woodwork saves Crystal Palace at that point but it’s not a bad strike is it Bailey that stayed down in the uh in the Box I think it was that challenge that Aston Villa wanted a penalty for Will Hughes was involved let’s have a closer look at it you see it there Hughes he just step on the back of Bailey on his Achilles and wouldn’t be surprised if that’s given well V checking for a possible penalty was there a foul on to Leon Bailey no doubt there’s contact it’s just how much contact does Will Hughes get on the ball and it’s not a lot well the wi is over and it will be a penalty interv [Applause] [Applause] Tans saved Dean Henderson went the right [Applause] way huge moment in this game it’s a good save don’t get me wrong it’s not a fantastic penalty from Tans it’s mid goal that’s where you say even needs to be high or low mid goal you always give the goalkeeper an opportunity but take nothing away from Dean Henderson there now it’s [Applause] mcin duur trying to fire It Forward here for Crystal Palace it’s SAR again gets it over ja what a moment this is for Crystal Palace Justin de just before the break puts Crystal Palace [Applause] ahead after Aston Villa had their penalty saved only moments later Crystal Palace score and they’re ahead well I’m just looking down to my right Dean Henderson’s come across to celebrate with the palace fans and I love it the fact that he’s just saved that penalty Aston Villa go on another attack but look at this the way that they fly forward saw doing ever so well to get on the ball ear and at that moment I’m thinking drive towards goal and he sort of stutters and stops and I thought the moment had left but he looks up he sees his teammates with him and you’re right what a moment for deeni I pointed him out at the start of the game to say I was really impressed with him against Fulham in his first start and what could he do today I thought that sort of the adrenaline and momentum carried on against Fulham so now that dust is settled how can you compose yourself and I tell you what that is a brilliant finish because so much must be running through that young lad’s mind at that point and look at the celebration as well from Henderson brilliant from [Applause] Palace B again get there ahead of M it get it across well it flashed across the face of go here’s [Applause] Watkins here’s another chance for Aston Villa and Watkins didn’t take his strike early enough just gave them the time to defend it Crystal Palace Matson gets it across and tipped over there by Henderson you spot on with that pen he just hesitates and I’m not sure why this is a wonderful little blind ball as well by Rogers just on one and I’m thinking just hit it early b he sto stops he tries to just think R just D sted and by the time he does that he gives the opportunity to get the tackling and Matson does well there Munoz trying to hold on to it now a chance here for Villa to break options ahead morins was there Duran tried to make the most of it too but Watkins look straight to the referee well I don’t think personally there’s too much in this again in terms of that Counterattack the ball in I think it’s the right thing to play it back to Watkins but I think again there’s a bit of indecision in him I don’t know whether he’s thinking about Duran that’s behind him that it might be a better ball for him but you just see there’s a little bit of hesitation and gives laqua that opportunity just to get the arm in lean into Watkins referee says C on Watkins I think it’s Morgan Rogers here that’s down seems in a lot of pain [Applause] it’s been a an active minute or so for chalar I tell you what it’s not a great challenge but the referee rightly gives a [Applause] caution he’s going to have to show the yellow card so he’s seen it [Applause] another Corner another chance did that’s how badly they needed it and Ros Barkley he may sure two2 not huge celebrations from their manager unai Emory but as Villa right back in it not huge celebrations from him but there might be from Austin MC the set piece coach but these ones are as simple as you get it’s all about the quality of the delivery Ross Barkley does well just goes into that front post area good connection on the ball the back of the net Villa find themselves level out decline again and that will do well a hugely entertaining game here at Villa Park and unai Emory still on the hunt for a win after not finding a victory in the last five games in all competitions for Oliver glasner he thought his side were on the way for a second victory in the Premier League not to be for them either because Ross Barkley was able to find the equalizer for Aston biller right at the end 22 he made it but the young just in deeni put Crystal Palace ahead again made it 21 just before the break 1-1 it was for Watkins for Aston Villa they were right back in it but an early early goal from ishma assar set things up for Crystal Palace nicely
