let’s go to St Louis out of the Atlantic 10 hosting Jackson State large number laying 23 total on a Monday night is 154 and a half Big Man on Campus Jeff Nao has an angle on this one for tonight what stood out to put this one into play here on the program so there’s not much out there tonight as we talking about here but I zeroed in this one pretty quick I’m going to stick with what I I know and and run with it whether or not it gets there or not it’s been a tough season but I’m gonna I’m going to rooot it in St Louis over 89 I think they get into the 90s here this is a Jackson State team that’s dead last in America in effective field goal percentage defense they’re allowing opponents to shoot almost 62% uh this group is a lot 90 or more four times in seven games uh if you have a competent decent offense you can get to 90 against this group they as Corby knows let you run everything you can go go go second defensive possession length that means you can grab the ball and just run up the court and they’re not going to do much to stop you uh St Louis has very little bench I think you’re going to see the starters for most of this game um and they’ve started to kind of look good now that Robbie Avala is back um this is an offense that under Josh shz wants to go go go they’re going to get plenty of possessions in this game this offense has look good they’re shooting it at almost 60% swopes look good uh again they’re not going to go deep into their bench I don’t have to worry about a 12th player on the bench scoring with two minutes to go they dropped 93 in their last game against UMass L uh this is probably the worst team they’re going to play All Season that said though they do play Chicago State in a couple of days Jackson state has gotten pummeled on the regular defensively I think they get pummeled here again I think St Louis gets in to the 90s here I’m going to go over 89 couple of recent home games St Louis played a game last Wednesday night with UMass L as Jeff mentioned 93 points in that one a 9390 game all right Corby any thoughts here uh he took the St Louis team total any thought on the overall total total or can you not get anywhere near the stench of Jackson State on offense what about it no Jackson State’s pretty bad uh I would agree with Jeff here uh would probably lean towards the full game over because Jackson State’s going to want to run once they get down so much um Jack I’ve talked about him in the past but uh there’s a guy that helps me with a lot of my basketball he bet St Louis minus 19 last night uh he made it 24 and if you’re assuming an over and a 24 um obviously this number has gotten crushed at this point uh but his reasoning makes sense like this is a St Louis team who uh we know they’re going to be an highly efficient pick and roll highly efficient assist team then you go look at Jackson State Jackson State 359th in defensive assist per field goal made per game that’s just not going to work type versus this type of offense uh he brings up uh Avala I guess how you say his name been back he’s he’s been back but like when you get injured you need a couple games to get up to speed I think this is a really good Get Right game for a St Louis team who could use an offense clicking use an offense who scores a lot of points um in conference plays so I imagine this is a run it up game um and they’re in plenty of shape to do it and to Jeff’s point like I think a team total is probably the best way to play this because it has moved four points at this point people are buying St Louis heavy they haven’t bought the over you’re probably getting a pretty good price with the team total uh I think that’s a good bet here remember AA is known as with the goggles Kem Abdul Jabar homage to Kareem Abdul Jabar with the goggles in the 80s going back aways so he’s known as Kareem Abdul Jabar and he has not been healthy will he be healthy tonight Jeff thinks they think he you think they do get healthy tonight here in score this this might be a good spot for him to to drop you know 25 you know this is a very bad half court defense um this should be a game where as he alluded to he should be able to get right in look if if I don’t get to this one I don’t know how I’m going to hit a goddamn game this is this is one of those prototypical I mean you should score 95 here the only concern would be would be do they stay on the gas like you were talking about before if they’ve got 75 80 points with 5 minutes left or 6 minutes left to they stay on the gas do they care to do that on Monday and you believe they do care to do that I think so yeah all right we’ll lock him in St Louis on the team total over 89 [Music]
