uh ready to do this here for a Wednesday let’s get it underway and as we mentioned it is another night of the SEC ACC challenge a few more games left a big night for the SEC last night nine and one all right so Alabama and North Carolina will now Tee It Up in Chapel Hill when last we saw both of these teams they were in multi-team Events North Carolina was all the way out in Maui uh where they they suffered a couple of uh losses uh Now They Come Back Home Alabama was in Los Vegas they lost to Oregon on Saturday night Jeff Nao start the discussion North Carolina a short favorite High total as you would expect in an Alabama game at 174 what are your thoughts here to get us underway well I think getting Alabama as a dog in this position is is interesting I mean obviously they beat them last year in the sweet 16 if we remember very close game very high scoring game I think you look at this game you have a hard time wondering who doesn’t get who gets the 901 I mean this is going to be a back and forth NBA type of Affair you got a bunch of kids on the court that that just go up and down um and it’s going to be about who just makes more shots there’s going to be a bunch of them in this game um these are kind of games that I don’t tend to get involved in obviously Carolina is at home but they’re coming off of um you know the trip out to to Maui again that isn’t exactly a an ideal spot I think Alabama is the better team I think in this spot getting them as a dog is is helpful um I didn’t see much here um I lean Bama I lean just they have the better players overall to me it’ll be RJ Davis Mark ears I know Matt talked yesterday about Mark or maybe it was Corby on Monday I don’t know Corby on Monday yeah I I don’t have much here it seems like first 85 990 wins I’ll lean Alabama but I don’t see much of an angle like I did last tonight with some of those games Matt Cox we saw North Carolina get an opening win against Dayton but then they were beaten in the next two games uh including by Auburn and then Michigan State in overtime in a wild 94 91 game now they are back home thoughts on Carolina trying to rest up a little bit and they better be ready to run run run they like to run but they better be ready to run uh with Alabama yeah I mean total 174 it opened 177 so it’s almost like a video game number but I the market bet it down and I kind of understand why but I think the lack of depth that Alabama’s dealing with right now they just got announced that Latrell ritel will be out for the year he’s a huge piece for them he’s actually almost a better Defender uh which could have work well for the over but I just think the lack of bodies that Alabama has dealt with at times this season has has you know obviously they’re going to play very fast still but they have not been as up and down Tasmanian Devil speed that we’ve seen in years past um a little more balance and I I think the Maui hangover could also kind of lead to a lethargic UNCC Pace maybe out of the gate so I kind of like the under angle here with I’m just not going to been under in a game involving Alabama and and UNCC just out of principle but I do lean that way I also lean Tar Heels it’s the only team coming off of Maui I think in these spots that I consider playing um just feels like this is a desperate situation for UNC like look at Maui they didn’t really get any great wins I know they beat um I know they beat Dayton but other than that beaten Elon American and Hawaii they lost to KU played really well in that game but they lost that game lost to Auburn Michigan State got him an OT in the last one at Maui so they still kind of need some resume beef could argue that might kind of propel them to a really Allin effort tonight again we’ve seen these home teams in the cross-conference challenges play very well so far think it’s another feather in the cap there looking to back tar Hills but um I ultimately sat on my hands here nothing for me here TJ I will point out and I mean this is just this is again you know indicative of so he hasn’t played you know he’s missed games before in his career I mean when he hasn’t played for Alabama they’ve gotten shredded defensively I mean last year a couple of games they gave up 100 plus several times now look is that just indicative of of the opponents they’re playing probably but um they are losing something there but they have played without him before so yeah he had a concussion right in the NCA tournament and missed at least a game if not a couple of games in coup the uh a couple opposing assistants we talked to said like he’s one of their most important X factors so I think he’s definitely like a way more valuable than the actual box score leg you indicate so they ailles it’s unfortunately an Achilles injury and Nate o did out announce he’s out for the year uh and they played the Oregon game without him interesting they were in Las Vegas for a lot longer because they played the first two games of the tournament then they took Thanksgiving and Friday off and didn’t play the championship the quote championship game of that event until late Saturday night so now Alabama comes back home for a couple of days and now right back to Chapel Hill this game coming up tonight on ESPN just after 7 p.m. eastern time at the dean Dome some good discussion here on Alabama North Carolina does have kind of a March feel on these made for TV matchups so ultimately nothing official on the game but we gave you a lot of good discussion and watch out for that to you said the totals moved what down three7 to 174 yeah so some people thought that 177 was a little bit too inflated I guess I agree but I don’t know you could see this being like 100 to 95 or something you’re gonna need 90s in this game for sure yeah you would think you would think especially the way that Carolina especially after inbounds plays Miss shots they love to rock it to the other end of the floor let’s see if Alabama is ready for that you better be [Music] he [Music]
