let’s start off first with the earliest kickoff which was Leicester city hosting Chelsea it was Chelsea who walked away with all three points bit of a controversial game some would say in terms of refereeing decisions so to speak yanish let me start off with you on this one um especially in the first half some belied that Leicester probably should have been down to not 10 but nine men but it was actually Steve Cooper at the end of the game who was complaining saying that decisions went against Leicester what did you think of the game and just the overall result for Chelsea well I think if we’re honest uh you know uh looking overall especially in the first half I it was a training uh training match for Chelsea from the opening whistle I mean it was a it was a spineless performance from Leicester City on that game alone I would have relegated them uh for sure really I mean you you you can’t show you can’t play at home like this against you know still very young Chelsea team that is still uh finding their ways and they’ve been doing that successfully I mean look where they are we’ll get to them in a second but you know to start a match like this in a premier league uh it’s Unbecoming really uh uh very very disappointed with Leicester city because they they conceded the ball to Chelsea even before the game it seemed to me uh and and to me it was quite embarrassing the you know they were lucky to be in the game and you know there were some decisions that if you guys liked uh you know U you know to me a red card uh um no questions asked and then you know we can said would have could have Shoulda with 10 would have they would have they closed the game early before the controversial penalties uh who knows but uh at the end of the day a much much better uh Chelsea team got the three points and that in itself for me was just forget you know what what happened later elmy uh just your thoughts as well on just the whole refereeing decisions coming into this because we did see some pretty nasty tackles especially on Cole Palmer that looked like that attack like that if it had gone through the the full way he could be out for the season in that one but your thoughts on how much the the referee probably lost control of this game I mean when you’re talking about you know as you mentioned what you’re seeing on the pitch in terms of fouls then yeah I think the moment the referee allows those kind of tackles then he’s creating a narrative for the entire rest of the game and I’m with yanish here um you know regardless of the officiating this was a very poor ler city um it was uh you know hilarious to me actually in many moments the game where Chelsea is basically doing about six to 700 passes to their 300 Chelsea had like 14 shots with ease there were moments when Enzo Fernandez and mo kael were literally just passing back and forth just like Yan said like it was a training session uh it was pitiful and actually it’s a little bit surprising from Steve Cooper’s side because uh usually uh the sides before he managed Leicester city at least gave a little bit of a fight this was pretty embarrassing and you know regardless of what we make of The Narrative of the official iting and I agree I think he allowed some very horrific tackles to continue this was so easy uh for Chelsea in many aspects specifically in the first 45 minutes the one thing I will say and obviously it’s great to see for Chelsea fans to see them so high up in the table we’ve already talked about how great Mesa is doing here Robert Sanchez remains their biggest weakness I think because Mesa likes to play from the back the build up from the back and Sanchez’s decision making when it comes to delivery and distribution can be questionable and and you saw it today against the very poor Leicester city having said all that Chelsea deserved the three points obviously I think it took like till the 85th minute for leester City to even get a shot on target uh and I don’t see anything but relegation for them uh especially if they play like that at home yeah Yan and just to pick up on what L said we have been talking about how Chelsea you know are still a work in progress but we have been impressed by what we’ve seen from Eno maresa let’s talk about two specific players the ones that got on the score sheet today Nicholas Jackson even though he really was gifted that goal by Leicester city as we kind of talked about and then Eno Fernandez as well who seems to H be breathing New Life at Chelsea right now under mesca too um we keep talking about how Chelsea have needed those kingpins especially in attack those guys that can be the Chelsea leaders on the pitch what did you think of Eno’s performance and of course Nicholas Jackson who we have criticized heavily in the past well I I I think there was a lot you know it’s kind of similar we’ll get to that later but remember maybe what I say about the the center of Midfield Zetta had to uh uh make some decisions in that Midfield as well and they’re similar because today I mean obviously Lavia uh had a problem going into it didn’t play for Belgium in those last two games as well and obviously when you look at kaeto and Lavia that’s strength and power today as I’ve said from the very very beginning uh the very first whistle I mean it was just basically Chelsea in leicester’s half right uh so so that suited Enzo Fernandez fair play to him obviously he scored that goal uh you know which uh you know another Nicholas Jackson who scored a goal and and maybe should have scored on that it was a great save by the goalkeeper in that particular uh situation but obviously we all know that Enzo Fernandez can open up defenses and when a game is this tight when you have a team like Leicester city that’s basically camped uh in their own penalty area for the most part uh this is his game right and now he’s got to find a way to find Lavia another very interesting tweak from uh uh from Enzo maresa uh I thought was the positioning from Xiao Felix the fact that he starts he’s talked about him ahead of uh ahead of the game that that you know he’s his kind of player and he’s doing very well right they play with two1 for the most part because we’ve seen that inverted fullback uh for the most part where you have I don’t know kukura we’ve seen him coming inside but that’s I think more defensive right when the ball turns over you have extra number in the Midfield here uh he created space for kukura to play play very high and very wide and he was coming in sight together with Cole Palmer right behind uh uh Nicholas Jackson so so that played well and this was a game for Enzo Fernandez but I think there’s still a little bit of a I don’t know controversy right because for that amount of money we’re talking here that Enzo is coming in a game like this but I think against the big teams if you will it still seems to me that it’s Lavan kaiso a quick mention Alexa as yanes was talking about it I’m glad he brought it up I thought Joy Felix had a very good game I think it’s worth echoing him as well because obviously he’s had to be patient and Eno maresa said it himself even before this game that he sees a world that maybe sometimes going forward Cole Palmer and Jo Felix can work together obviously Leicester city are not the best example of that we have to wait and see what they do against tougher opposition but I I thought I you know I’m glad yanish brought him up because I think Jo Felix really deserves a mention here right well I’m gonna Ju Just One thing to out to it because again we are talking of Arsenal and there’s so it seems similarities right not just in that Midfield but we’ll talk about odard and who’s better odard or C Palmer right I’ll get to the I get to to it again in that game but I think Co Palmer was good but it seems to me that you you still have to get a lot more about Cole Palmer I don’t know about you guys but I I think there are there are flashes and moments of Brilliance often maybe not often enough though right it seems to me that in many games he comes in and out uh you know there’s 10 15 20 25 minutes in games where he’s missing he’s playing his part he’s not playing badly but not up to his potential I think those moments of I think they had a Target on him today I think they had a Target on him today I think it was a tough game for him I agree and I think obviously he he’s better than what he showed today but I think Cooper said we need a Target on Cole Palmer today I mean given how he was fouled I think that was obvious right yeah but there are many games like that and then there’s other guys but let’s wait yeah because we’re definitely going to talk about Arsenal next but I just want to wrap up the conversation on Chelsea when you look at the table now they are in third position where they’re level with Arsenal who got the win that we’ll get to in just a bit my question for both of you is we’ll go to LM first on this one is do you see a world or a time in this current season where Chelsea probably could flirt with being title contenders or even enter the title race at the rate they’re going no I it’s too early for them to be title contenders I think happiness lies within them doing top four uh if they can reach that uh if they can reach a top four spot that is a tremendous achievement for Eno mares in his first season as Chelsea manager I think the moment you start thinking about the title that becomes a little bit too far uh this season for me that that’s not to Discount anything from what they’ve been doing but I just think that uh the objective right now should be and and then soaresa knows it to keep continue what they’re doing get back to a European spot get back to a Champions League spot and then take it from there yanish top four the best for Chelsea this season but look at the conversation we’re having right look how wrong we all were I mean because there’s a certain you know I look at Mesa and what I like about him the most is that certain amount of ruthlessness on his part right remember all the talk first of all we weren’t talk you know we’re talking about all the issues of the pitch he would have none of them right remember when we’re were talking that he you know how does he do it with all these players on the pitch he said no I have one Squad the other Squad I’m not training uh look at the way he kind of is dealing with Christopher Nunu right or wrong but I mean he’s your leading goal scorer who comes in for the last few minutes in the game uh in a game let’s face it because let’s not forget there was no Pedro Netto and you know and he’s being saved I assume uh uh you know coming uh uh back from Portugal so so you know in comes Xiao Felix where you think maybe this is a game against Forest right uh where you put in kungu so so I love all about that and all the talk has been about Arsenal Liverpool Manchester City and and I do think we see it int standing now but you know here’s this Chelsea team that can split that uh that three threesome so uh it’s quite possible they’re very young they’re still building onto it there’s still some issues uh that that Chelsea are going to have to deal with it because there’s going to be another time where they’re going to uh um you know have a bet a b time in this league everybody will but it’s incredible I can for sure see Chelsea uh H uh I can give him a shout for the top four but a little bit too early for for the for the title [Music]
