it’s time to unveil Sweden’s roster for the four nations Faceoff and previously announced was Predators forward Philip forsberg Panthers defenseman gusta forsling Penguins Dem man Eric Carlson Maple leafes forward William neander Rangers forward mik zaban Jad and lightening defenseman Victor Hedman and Tampa’s Captain joins us now to help us unveil the four nations teammates that will be joining him Victor good to have you with us first off how excited are you for this four nations tournament no it’s obviously going to be great uh you know it’s been a while since we played you know best on best so obviously a little bit of a different format but uh it’s going to be a lot of fun all right well part of the format is that we get to unveil the roster right here so are you ready to join us for some of these new teammates of yours but sure all right let’s kick it off here the first one from the New Jersey Devils Winger yesper brat what can you tell us about him Victor no obviously having a tremendous year um so fast uh can make plays and finish like we can see there two so yeah to have him uh on your side for for a few games it’s going to be a lot of fun at the center position we’re going to go out to Anaheim we’ll find the Ducks Leo Carlson joining the group yeah one of the most obviously uh exciting forwards uh coming out of Sweden so uh a big guy uh you know always in the right position it feels like on the ice so uh yeah it’s going to be a lot of fun to to get to know him a little bit uh obviously a lot younger than me but oh he’s going to learn some things from you that’s for sure for the Minnesota Wild it’s Senator Joel Erikson e joining the roster for team Sweden yeah it’s just a Workhorse uh I got to play with him in World Championships a few times and you know it’s uh you know pain a pain to play against so uh you know to have him on your side always goes hard than that and can make plays and always uh a little scrappy off whistles too sometimes so just a great guy to have on your team that’s always good in a short tourament right all right from the golden knights a world Championship gold medalist himself from 2017 we’ve got William Carlson yeah we won there together so it’ be good to hopefully we can do that again so uh no but he’s a winner uh you know both in Vegas and with Team Sweden so uh you know good toour forward uh look at kill penalties and play on the power play so uh yeah such a great player and someone with a lot of experience in the world championship level is Adrien kempe leads the LA Kings in goals he is now going to be joining this roster as well for team Sweden yeah I got to play with him last World Championships in check and you know he has a great skater uh can play up another lineup and uh yeah just uh as a work cour you know can skate like the win and be physical so uh he’s going to be great let’s head to the Boston Bruins where we find the next name on this roster it’s Senator Elias Lindholm what can you tell us about Elias yeah same with him you know great two-way guy um kind of reminds me a lot about birdon the way he plays the game uh G him the face off thought and uh yeah he can also be you know the PK on the power play so uh you know it feel like I’m saying the same things about a lot of hey they’re all St that’s why they’re on the team but uh yeah we’re uh we played together before too so good to to to see each other again and like you said in a short tournament it’s important to to to get uh play it right away so yeah there’s going to be a lot of chemistry early for team Sweden let’s keep it going from the Vancouver Canucks Elias Pon is joining this roster yeah obviously his shot is his world class uh great release uh first shot en cler so uh obviously probably going to play a big role in the power play and proba feed him the puck as much as we can when he’s open we’ve got Olympic gold medalist from 2014 in Sochi Gustaf nikist of the Nashville Predators strong forward joining your group yeah Gess I never got the opportunity to play him on a senior level so that’ll be fun but obviously had a phenomenal year in Nashville last year and yeah he just keeps going and um you know it’s been impressive to watch and very well deserved to to be on this team and uh brings a lot of leadership to the to the team as well I think and with his experience so uh be a lot of fun to to see him uh on the same side as uh as as myself for this time yeah pretty cool that uh almost 10 years to the month that he won the gold medal in SOI gets announced on the roster for team Sweden for this four nations Faceoff and let’s get to the last and not Le H second to last from the Detroit Red Wings Lucas Raymond yeah uh got to play with him in the world championships this year too and tremendous guy uh almost his shots through for himself but uh works hard uh play with a little bit of an edge so it’s going to be great all right I’m rounding things out from the Edmonton Oilers it is Winger Victor arvidson yeah yes a Workhorse uh you know a little bit smaller guy but uh you know skates a lot he going to be physical get on their other guys skin so uh yeah he’s uh he’s tough to play against so uh he’s got to go out there and skate like the win and hit everything aside what do you think week see I think this is a team that has a lot of speed I think they’re going to play at a high Tempo they’ll be able to push and kind of dictate the pace quite a bit head over to you when you look at this team I see speed what do you see yeah C speed too obviously uh you know some guys with with size as well and you know like I said in this short tournament uh it’s going to be important to to get the combinations right right away and you know let go out there and lay everything on the line from from the start and uh you know play against Canada the first game is going to be very special so uh we just going to hit the ground running and don’t go out there and play in our heels we got to play on our toes and be ready from from the start well Victor we appreciate you joining us on this very exciting day as all the rosters for the four nations will be revealed we appreciate you joining us for team Sweden thanks so much thanks guys thanks Eddie all right there you have it that completes team Sweden’s forward group Next we are moving on to the goenda we’re going to bring in the head of the goalie Union here Kevin to take us through the three Net minders that are going to be representing team Sweden who do you got well we’re going to start with the Minnesota Wilds own Philip guson he’s just shy of a 930 save percentage this year love the way he’s played he’s taken over the number one spot very calm very confident and he seems to be on his aame at this point he too has International experience I think this is an outstanding selection he’s one of the best up and cominging goalies in the league next up we’re going to go just up the road here KT up route three or Route 21 it’s going to be local Jacob markstrom because he’s been really good for the Devils this season he’s exactly what they wanted for the last two years they finally got him he too has played internationally a big goalie very imposing in the net competes hard on pucks and I like the fact that he doesn’t only rely on his technique can structure he can battle and be athletic when called upon last up we have the vzna Trophy winning lenus Almar who’s now playing his trade for the Ottawa Senators and can’s nation’s capital when he’s on his game him and shashurin have the two best glove hands in the league his glove is literally like a vacuum cleaner so I think this rounds out a very talented group and I’d also say a group that has a lot of experience internationally they do and the number one question I have for you is who’s the starter KT they’re all so darn good KT as of right now I would probably go in saying guson as of right now but all three of them are number one goalies in their own right they’re very fortunate to have that depth at the position but as of today I’d say guson going in yeah easy as of today they happen to be the best team in the National Hockey League right now the Minnesota Wild all right so uh there you have it there are the three goenda markstrom and allmark as All That Remains for team Sweden is to complete their Decor which already is looking pretty solid with Gustav forsling headman and Eric Carlson all right so only four spots remain that is the defenseman for team Sweden shall we Kevin let’s do it all right let’s start we’re going to go first to the Calgary Calgary Flames and it is Rasmus Anderson Rasmus Anderson is really flourished in Calgary and not only is he steady defensively he’s big but he’s also a very good complimentary offensive defenseman as well all right it’s his first time playing for team Sweden in a major tournament since the under 18s in 2014 Ross mallene next up from the Buffalo Sabers one of the most dynamic young defenseman in the league great skater unbelievable agility can make plays can shut down he’s more physical than people give him credit for as well KT all right someone we saw a lot of during the Stanley Cup Final Matias EOL from the Oilers long range he’s now played in two Stanley Cup Final he relishes the matchup game he’s big he’s physical hard to get time in spacing G him and last but not least from the Minnesota Wild currently on IR but hopefully we’ll be available for this tournament it’s yonas broin now that is the quintessential shutdown defenseman difficult to be able to make plays difficult to be able to get spots he is an absolute insurance benefit on the back end for any defensive core he’s on all right so we’ve got all the rosters set now take a look at your team Sweden for the four nations face off and you know you look at the goal tending Kevin you look at the defense they’re so good on this grouping and it’s going to be so much fun to watch them uh we’ll have Sam ham having them under control getting all the lineups underway and the projected lines but what do you like about this roster I see a lot of balance a lot of speed especially up front but on the back end a lot of balance good compliment between offensive D and stabilizing and shut down the and of course in the net they’re stacked
