Thanksgiving game sleepy in the sense that like heru controlled it pretty much start to finish and there were moments in it that maybe caught your attention but like for the most part this was just like a a good basketball team playing an average basketball team to me BYU or excuse me not BYU we just did the BYU recap Purdue beat them by 10 I think if Purdue had played great they could have won this game by 20 25 Purdue played well didn’t shoot well only made five threes that’s really weird for a Purdue team Braden was fine I mean two for eight from the floor for Braden isn’t his best six assists is good uh cam Heidi was really good and tkr was dominant but like I don’t know are you with me like this this just sort of felt like yeah we’re better we’re not playing our best but who cares we’ll win by 10 yeah it’s a lot it definitely had a little bit of like post like we’re playing on Thanksgiving against NC State right yeah like it it it felt like that game and you you feel good to Come Away with a 10-point victory in that game um but there was very much the feel of like oh it’s Thanksgiving like let’s get out of here I know paint’s got a nice setup for us at the hotel I’m hungry type feel to the game yeah it just maybe lack of juice would be my word right like there wasn’t there wasn’t much juice to this game right doesn’t mean it was a good performance it was a it was a Thanksgiving Day game in San what San Diego San Diego and it’s Purdue versy State like yeah not much juice be and we could have had Ju in uh Purdue BYU if BYU won but instead it’s going to be Purdue 13 against Marshall that was kind of the direction you thought this might head in after tkr became the full-time starting center that means they played tkr 30 minutes they played Caleb first 14 minutes you do the math on that that’s really like six minutes total where you had um tkr and first or Burgess on the floor and I I’m sure there’s lineup data that may say he wasn’t even on the floor with one of them but like it’s I’m surprised first and Burgess got so little like they really are all the way in on tkr at the five now and uh it definitely looked like the best lineup so kudos to paint for doing that and for us for calling it out I think still but no wilberg two minutes for Burgess the front Court seems even thinner than it did before if those guys aren’t even going to be involved you know yeah and and I think it works too in this game given what was on the other side for NC State as far as front Court like I get like Hatfield is a guy in the front court but like that’s a guy I feel fine with just tkr just carrying the the Reigns on it I think if there’s a more imposing physical front Court you might have to try to work in some more more minutes for maybe a guy like Burgess or something like that um the minute distribution most surprising thing to me was that koven played 22 and Jakari played 20 like I know Jakari was he was good in this game he had eight Jakari was better than miles in this game that’s why you think that’s how it’s was going to be like on a game to game basis though yeah I think it’s gonna be play the hot hand okay which I which I guess like fine with as long as you play the hot hand so like that works speaking of playing the hot hand he played cam Heidi 35 minutes and cam Heidi was 15 points six for nine from the floor six rebounds this was a Flawless cam Heidi performance this is what we’ve been waiting for cam Camden please like I just we spent the whole offseason being like we believe in this dude this is why I thought he would be like a 32 minutes a game guy doing this exactly this so like thank you it’s just like a breath of fresh air to see it actually happen you know yeah it does feel good uh I want a big Braden game though I don’t like this whole like sleepy have a zero point game and then have like 11 and six yeah what’s up with that I don’t like I I don’t know it’s just not big enough for him like he doesn’t see Mark Sears cross him or something bradden’s got two games this year where he scored more than 12 points I don’t like that he’s like I don’t maybe does the team need more though like if the other guys are going who cares what the team needs I need more yeah I mean at least he got to the line six times I think he also just is like a little cold right now like he was two for eight from the floor in this game he was 0 for four the game before this like he just got to see the ball go in a little bit I’m not not worried about this at all you shout out to him and Fletch having the same exact statline basically yeah that’s crazy it is what what a Brotherhood what a Thanksgiving honestly in hindsight uh you win a game by double digits on a night where Braden Smith and Fletcher lawyer combined to go four for 16 pretty good right pretty 207 from three yeah are we not going to mention tkr who was the star in this game uh 22 points eight rebounds two assists 30 minutes I to me he’s just unlocked at the five he’s been good all season but I this is this is what we’ve wanted he’s unlocked at the five and the best part about it all is that like tkr doesn’t have the Gams where he’s like H I want to sleepwalk through this tkr knows he has averages to maintain yeah that’s my favorite part about tkr he could have did the whole sleepy Thanksgiving thing he’s like nah there’s 20 and8 available out there if I want it so I’m gonna get my 14 up I’m gonna get my I’m GNA get mine out here yeah tkr is like the guy who at your Thanksgiving dinner like he is going up for seconds before like everyone has even made their first plate like he he was first in line he finished the plate and then he’s back in line before like Grandma even got up from the Walker like like that’s not on me Granny’s moving slow I I I that’s on her she didn’t get up I’m hungry I finished my first plate right exactly and you just applaud it like that’s you’re right he’s in the right to do that um he what’s the up side for him like accolades wise because we we spent all offseason calling him the most polarizing player in the conference because he could either be incredible or he could be bad the truth was probably somewhere in the middle I still feel like right now he’s landed somewhere in the middle like I think the people there was a contingent of people who were telling us like tkr is the best big in the Big 10 I think he’s still a really far away from that even when when he does what he did yesterday but like he’s an all big 10 player he looks like Purdue’s best player right now right even bradden’s been good but I think tkr might be their best right now yeah no I think I think there’s a there’s a world where tkr is a first team all big time player I I think I would go as far to say that if he at the five if he keeps this up I think it’s gonna be hard pressed to keep him off of it I think he’s in line for like a second or third Team all big 10 season second like who who’s the better big right now over tkr uh let me pull up the Big 10 real quick but you probably going Thomas slof still right big tomov VIs always been better than tkr for sure uh I think Danny wolf ah I know he turns it over but like what I watch from wolf against Xavier is just better than a tkr performance and Danny wolf rebounds his rebounding numbers are stupid yeah what’s Danny wolf averaging right now let me pull up Danny Wolf’s numbers just to get him I didn’t I didn’t even know that tkr was averaging 18 and six with three assists on top of that too TK he’s on a run right now Danny Wolf’s averaging 11 and 10 with three assists but yeah that tkr has been better 10 boards Purdue still doesn’t rebound they rebounded well in this game but like that’s the issue with tkr is like his great games are six rebounds still eight rebounds okay I’m saying I’m looking at his best games on the game logs 26 and eight against Bama he had 16 and eight against Marquette this game you know I he’s it’s it’s hard to keep tkr out there if he’s going to keep this up like 186 and three assists is I guess I would say this tkr might be the highest floor big man in the conference tkr will not have a game this season where he goes 20 points 14 rebounds three assists a block and two steals that’s what wolf just did against aier like big Big T’s good games and Wolf’s good games and uh Derek Queen’s good games 20 and 20 like I I think there are other players whose best games are better than TK’s best yeah they’re not going to like that one do you think I’m wrong no I I no I think it’s true just because I think the guys you’re nameing are more Dynamic than tkr is but TK’s upside is crazy um yeah I mean right now the stats are like I said I’m what are his stats what what are what are his what are his stats um 18 six rebounds three assists okay 60 from the field hasn’t attempt I don’t we can’t even put he’s shooting 50% from three but that’s probably only like three attempts so four attempts so don’t don’t look up Yanik Neer Houser’s game logs if that that’s Penn State starting center don’t don’t look those up if is he actually cooking yeah I’ve never heard of that man in my life until today yeah you got to tap into Penn State they’re pretty good really okay I will they’re pretty good uh real quick CJ Cox uh if I were an Alabama fan I would be so pissed so pissed like this guy has not done anything after that game zero points one rebound two fouls and eight minutes for CJ uh Future’s bright though it is ncky moment the future is bright for CJ still uh little out of- Body Experience against Alabama I think more than a turn yeah let’s uh let’s relax on the Carson I’ll tell you right now Carson Edwards would never do this maybe he did as a freshman though oh no
