[Music] after losing back-to-back games on the weekend the Canadians made a pretty significant roster move on Monday that’s right joshuwa has been sent back down to the Laval rocket which instantly raised a lot of eyebrows because of course we could be about to witness the return of Patrick l this video is brought to you by marage trading where they even got gift cards now check it out these bad boys on your screen are all under 100 bucks you could buy some hockey cards Pokémon cards if you’re lucky enough you might even pull an ultra rare Pokémon card like this one make an order today and type hockey junkie in the notes section of your order and guess what the boys over at Mirage they might even send you along a little extra something something now here we go late in the preseason Patrick l got injured during a game against the tonal Maple Leaves now I don’t really want to go into too much detail here because I already kicked the out of this topic first when it happened but basically he took a knee on knee from some random butthole as he was crossing the Leaf’s blue line and got absolutely obliterated jeez does that look bad I thought he was going to be done for the Sease but after getting multiple opinions from M Ricky and doctors Patrick lony decided not to get a season ending surgery but instead he decided to try and let his knee he on naturally in early November he started skating again then by the end of November he was pretty much flying around out there like Peter Pan yeah Justin Baron might have tried to kill him at one point but even despite Baron’s best efforts Lon has officially made a successful recovery I don’t want to jump to any conclusions without real confirmation from the Montreal Canadians themselves however based on the roster movements we seen yesterday there’s like a a 95% chance that we’re going to see Patrick l play his first game of the season tonight and you got to admit that’s pretty exciting and it leads me to my first quck question of today’s video where does Patrick l fit in this Canadian lineup well I don’t know if you noticed but during the pre-season it seemed like they were trying to build some chemistry between him and Kirby duck I’m going to be curious to see if they decide to go down this road again but I do know if I was in charge of the team that’s probably where I’d start let’s face it the Canadians have one of the worst gold differentials in the league right now they’ve got just one dangerous scoring line so adding a new threat like like a Patrick Lon in the top six just gives them a few more options and maybe it gets do going who knows now I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this but at the same time I do I know we’re all excited right now to get Patrick l back it’s like giv a a beaver a chainsaw but we still got to keep our expectations realistic guys I mean if you’re expecting Patrick Lon to come in here and save the season I’ve got some bad news for you it ain’t going to happen he’s not going to score 75 goals he’s not going to carry this team into the playoffs but what he is going to do is become a brand new scoring threat in the top six and just add some excitment to the games obviously he’s a guy that’s been going through a pretty tough time over the past couple of Seasons I can’t even begin to imagine how happy he must be feeling right now to get back on the ice I wish him the best I hope he he never gets injured again because this is a player that I’ve liked since he broke into the league okay L was a beast in Winnipeg want’s not to like about him he’s a big dirty goal scoring Sam squanch and when players like this are healthy it’s good for the entire leag it is but you can go ahead and let me know your thoughts down in the comment section are you excited about Patty’s return and what would your lineup be I want to hear all about it don’t forget to high stick the like button before you leave here and hey a see you next time [Music]
