it’s Mock Draft time again everybody I figure every 2 weeks is an appropriate amount of time to kind of keep our eye on all these new prospects that are expected to come up through the NBA so I figure every two weeks we’ll do a mock draft but anyway let’s jump into it shout out Bleacher Report man I always think it’s a really helpful thing for us just to see these things see the pro comparisons what people write up about these guys um I I’ll I’ll be the first to admit I’m not as detailed on a lot of these names as I will be later in the season my job right now revolves around looking at a lot of schemes and things like that for team because I I’m pretty heavily involved in the college basketball Community still but I’m not really watching individuals like that all crazy a lot of the Personnel reports that I make are on very specific individuals and teams not exactly the top talent by the end of the year I will have watched my film on them because um the NBA team that I’m still employed by this season is going to have me do this at some point so I like to provide that context I Won’t Say I’m an expert on every single name in here but I like to think the top guys I’ve got a pretty solid opinion on already but even still these guys are going to change so much from now until the time that they would actually get drafted next year so I just think it’s important to keep that context in mind there’s a lot of evolution that takes place over the course of a season and that’s why when we watch film we always watch like the beginning of the year the middle of the year and the end of the year because it kind of helps us see like hey what kind of habits were formed or broken what what have they changed right what are they working on things like that I think it helps tell the story but anyway make sure you guys like subscribe and comment I’ve responded to every single comment to my YouTube channel and I will continue to do so so if you leave a comment I will respond it’s that simple but anyway let’s get get into talking about it and by the way I’m going to have a controversial take very early on in this so just just prepare yourselves right if you’re like eating something hot make sure you don’t spit it onto someone else kind of thing right so first overall pick Cooper flag not a surprise this is where I make a take right now I no longer think Cooper flag is the best player in this draft those of you that watch my channel know where I’m going with this it’s not because I don’t like Cooper flag I think this kid is phenomenal the top three people in this class I think are future all NBA guys like that’s where I’m evaluating them at this very moment I’m like okay these are potential all NBA guys extremely high ceilings all ultra high talent and everything um Cooper flag’s amazing we’ll get into who I think is number one at the end of the day Cooper flag’s awesome though the defensive versatility and everything is really really cool i’ I’ve noticed a lot more dis discourse online about how people like don’t actually think he’s like quite as good or whatever because of XYZ and there’s two things that I have to say about that one when you reach a certain level of popularity which he has like there’s just going to be more hate for it because people are just hateful online and that’s just that’s just how the world works right but also I think it’s important to know like when you’re evaluating a college basketball player that’s you’re hoping to translate to the NBA you need to watch basketball differently like I can’t stress to you enough and I I don’t know how best to explain it to you unless you’re like me and you’re just like you’ve been at both and you’ve been a part of it you’ve watched the film you’ve heard people talk about it like the college basketball game like basketball in college has never been more different than it is in the NBA the things that you see them do on the court in college most of the time they can’t do in the NBA and vice versa like it just doesn’t work it’s a completely different style of game being coached by completely different people playing around different people so you have to look for certain traits to be like hey I think he can do this and in this system more so than like what’s the culminating Factor on the court right so those are the kind of things that you have to look out for but Cooper flag first thing you got to note right when you’re 69 and you can move like he can and he’s only 17 that already just gets me super excited right uh he seems incredibly smart like he knows like def especially defensively like he just seems to have a great understanding of where things are at all times does he have like some things where he jumps for like certain balls that he just doesn’t need to because he wants to block the out of it yeah he’s 17 right and like he’s falling into the the hype of the crowd and everything like that I don’t give a about that I just don’t but um Cooper Flags amazing um I personally don’t like mind his jump shot and everything I know it doesn’t fall a ton right now I think it’s going to be just fine again especially you get him in a system that actually works now I’m not going to talk about like where they get like mock drafted in this quite as much because it just doesn’t matter right now I mean the the NBA season is still very long um but the Wizards tend to ruin every project that they have it feels like so I’d be scared if he went there but nonetheless Cooper flag is amazing and even though I don’t have him at number one and I want to say this as well just because I have someone else at number one I’m not going to fault you at all if you put one of these three dudes that we talk about as like your number one like I will have no ill will towards you I think these kids are incredible if you got someone else too cool shoot me your opinion I think it’s pretty evidently these three and then everybody else but I think there’s really really good players after them as well so is what it is love Cooper flag love the mobility I like the ball handling and everything I can’t wait to see him in more of a pro style system because man it is hard to watch college basketball with him number two I’m not surprised to see Dylan Harper here Dylan Harper is currently my number three though so you you guys can figure out who I have it number one but Dylan Harper has looked so so good in college and here’s why Dylan Harper is built the best out of the three of them for succeeding in college basketball right he is one of those guys that’s going to thrive in halfcourt basketball for forever there’s a reason I’m guarantee you they compare him to Jaylen Brunson right yep bigger Jaylen Brunson that’s what everybody’s going to say James Harden Kobe White these are all great comparisons right 66 215 true point guard he’s got the point guard skills he can handle the rock he’s playing good defense he’s got good size to him he’s methodical he’s got counter moves on counter moves like he doesn’t have like an elite athleticism by any means like his first step is pretty slow in my opinion he doesn’t have a ton of verticality to his game and everything but he’s got such good touch and he’s got such good fundamentals already that I’m like this is something that can translate to the NBA but I’m not surprised he’s playing so well in college though right like and I’m not saying he’s not going to play well in the NBA like I truly think like this is a Jaylen Brunson like Shay gilis Alexander type game where he’s just going to be so much smarter and more skilled than everybody else he’s going to be able to make it work and it might not be right away right I’m not saying he’s going to be Allstar level good right away I I like to think we all have the common sense to understand that right away but you never know on the on the internet um but I I think Dylan Harper is going to translate really really well to the NBA and I think he fits in college pretty well um at the same time just cuz he can kind of dissect these not so good defenses and just get wherever he needs to go and man I I love watching him play though he’s so smart he knows where to be at all times he takes contact so well like he’s he’s been absolutely phenomenal so I think Dylan Harper is like a future All-Star all NBA guy as well I would love to see any team pick him up um but yeah no Dylan Harper awesome uh it would be the Pelicans picking him up that would be that would be interesting all right so here is okay cool just wanted to make sure so here’s my guy Ace Bailey Ace Bailey is my number one right now I’m not going to lie it was about 2 and half weeks ago I basically came out and said I’m I don’t have Cooper flag at one anymore I have Ace Bailey I know I know I’m a brave person I’m so brave um but no um I love Ace Bailey’s game man every I’ve watched like every second of his film so far just cuz I’m like salvaing over this kid I I don’t know I I just think he’s phenomenal when I watch him move and this is a bold claim of me I basically see like Kevin Durant but like a little bit smoother I’m not saying I never want to say somebody’s going to be Kevin Durant LeBron James or something I’m saying he moves like him and oh it makes me so excited you have a 610 200lb person and like just just go watch like all of his made shots there some of the shots that he makes and he makes it look so easy like there just isn’t anyone else in college basketball and I’m so serious when I say this let alone the NBA that can make the shots that this kid can make right at this level like he is finding new and creative ways to get to his shot use his length get over people and make these like hard ass shots like all the time yet he’s still like creative finds people he’s got a really good handle on him he moves like like there’s there’s something that I would call a silky guard is what I used to call it when I was like scouting and stuff where I’m like they just look like they Glide up and down the court like they don’t even feel like wind resistance or anything like that and that’s what it feels like watching Ace Bailey play so I’m really really big on him uh funny enough I’ve heard that people don’t like they don’t necessarily want to go to Utah I think that was Dylan Harper’s camp and that’s look Utah fans at the end of day y’all got a lot of racist people out there I’m just saying it right now like that’s the case like it just is the truth like I I went to Utah a lot when I was playing in college just the case we heard some crazy things all the time whenever I play down there so and I’ve talked to plenty of NBA people that feel the same so I kind of get it but look man you get your hands on Ace Bailey I think you’re going to be in good hands now I don’t know which of these three is going to be the best like 10 years from now so I think they have great skill and situation matters and everything like that but I think the potential of all three of these guys is absolutely Skyhigh absolutely awesome people now I can’t wait to see who number four is is it going to be oh we got my boy VJ back up here okay I’m not going to lie vj’s who I have at like number four as well so that’s that’s exciting for me to see uh 65 180 lb guy what what do I always say about him I’m really I I I just love the energy that he’s playing with so young in his career I thought it was great that he got to go play in the Olympics with some really good NBA players um strong game against Tennessee 20 points off explosive drivve some catch and shoot threes he struggled from the floor prior yep so the jump shots been struggling a little bit yep that’s totally fine uh and he seems somewhat uncomfortable behind the arc relative basic with his ball handling yeah no I would agree with that I just think his athletic profile is so good and I feel like he has good instincts it’s just some of the finer skills aren’t quite there yet like when I when I look at this guy though I’m like I I look at his body I’m like he can fill out a ton more from where he is right now so he can get a lot stronger so he could have a real like big stocky frame he’s got smooth movements already he’s extremely coordinated I’m like look we just get him in the gym for a little bit more on like being a little more consistent from three uh tightening up the handle a little bit like I think the defense is already pretty good I always worry about the Baylor guys I say this in everyone like I just don’t think Baylor does a good job of developing Pro players like I just don’t think they prepare them well um but overall I I I like him a lot it’s just this athleticism is hard to find the energy that he plays with like to top it off is really really good and I think he’s got a drive to be like a score and everything which is really really cool so I would I would love love love love to see it like especially you get this guy out in transition could be crazy could be crazy o Trey Johnson is shooting up the list I feel like I see Trey Johnson highlights just like every night like this dude is just another like scoring Wing right that can just go out there and just hit shots from anywhere I’m seeing him hit like really tough shots off of like ice um ice defense and stuff like that where he’s just pulling up from like deep and hitting them like jump shot looks pretty smooth sometimes it looks like he maybe pushes it out like a little too far in front of him but obviously stupid good athlete he gets up and down really really quickly good vertical all that type of stuff um he’s been off from Deep these last uh three games four of 21 but yet yeah I was going to say but he’s still like scoring a ton in that so I don’t know he’s LED some crazy games in terms of like being like just their entire offense by just doing things encouraging flashes of passing and on ball defense have also helped I’ve liked his defense so far I’ve had no problems with it whatsoever a lot of his one-on-one ball screen work does result in some tough jump shot attempts yeah but he’s made some really tough ones but he clearly looks competent enough to have continued offensive success like yeah he’s he seems like he’s spot hunting to me like I I don’t think he’s playing dumb basketball when I watch him I’m like okay no he is like hunting for his spot he’s just really confident in his spot because it seems consistent to me so I don’t know I do like Trey Johnson I’m a little bit surprised surprised eigor isn’t up here higher but we’ll see oh wow what a shoot up up here kasparis I have no idea how to say his name but yeah my so I’m a I’m a Chicago fan for everything like Bears Bulls Cubs I’m not a White Sox fan I don’t mind the White Soxs Blackhawks um I grew up being a Notre Dame fan just cuz that’s a pretty common thing in the like Chicago area or whatever but I like rooting for Illinois whenever I can so I tried to tell my dad before the season I’m like hey Pops I I got I got two guys for you at Illinois this year that I think are going to be really really good for you to watch cuz my pops is an Illinois fan right and I was like yeah I’m like you got this like giant kid here point guard 66 Lithuania that I’m like hey I I think he’s going to be a fun one for you to watch this year he gets really annoyed with Illinois because they turn the ball over a ton that’s just college basketball nowadays but I’m like you got him and you got another kid that I think is going to be like a first round pick in the draft this year so you should have some fun watching these guys and wow has he shot up already the eye test on the playmaking backs up the numbers there’s so many just like big ball handling point guards and stuff like that this year oh that’s fun that’s a lot of fun his vision obviously yep he sees the court incredibly well on drives yep he just he he gets it right he gets basketball I’m not surprised big ball handling a foreign player always the case he’s been an efficient scorer using touch shots an impressive shot making improvisions and stuff like that off the dribble uh yeah he’s not shooting a ton of jump shots but like the floater’s been really nasty for him and when you’re that size and the people that are guarding you are where they’re at you you can just live from floater inch uh spoiler alert I was a 65 point guard in college yeah just floaters all day floaters from like the free throw line that was my money people would roll their eyes every time I make it even when I go play pickup ball now I just like I’ll get iced on a pick and roll I’ll snake It Go behind him get some guy on my hip and they drop a little bit and as soon as I get to the free throw and I just float it over I make it every time I’m so serious and people just go what the hell is that just get good at that big guards it’s not that hard I promise you it’s not but anyway um yeah no I really really like kasparis I think he’s a lot of fun I’m not sure I I I didn’t see him being this high up already I kind of felt like it would take further in the season for him to become like a top 10 guy but I don’t disagree I think he’s awesome uh he’s got a 67.4 true shooting percentage a 32.7% assist percentage uh yeah no that’s really good those are the only other freshman to notch those numbers that’s nuts um yeah obviously they’ll play better competition as things go but kasparis definitely go watch some of his highlights he’s been uh he’s been fun all right Nolan you guys have told me how to say this before and I told you guys in the comments that I’d forget but I appreciate it please leave me more comments I’ll learn I’ll learn eventually I just need to like watch the film with sound on actually and I’ll start to remember it I will uh trayor trayor I don’t know uh another big point guard coming out of France France doing a lot of cool things right now um I I would say again IQ very very high which is good to see because I feel like a couple draft classes in a row we haven’t had like extremely high IQ players coming in but it is what it is one of the things with him is he’s he not shoot he hasn’t been shooting the ball very well with his French team but again I’m not I’m not like tripping about it you’ve got this big athletic dude here that is really really good at seeing the floor um and again he’s not just like a semi- good athlete that happens to be big or something like that think like Alfred pton or something like that like no like this guy’s a really good athlete he moves up and down the floor like with ease really sees the floor well he can get to the rack like very well he’s got a good ball handling skill on him I think this guy could be like a starting point guard in the NBA one day I truly do I think he could really get an offense going or something I see no reason the three-point shot can’t come along with him so I I have no problem with this guy I think he’s a I think this is a great talent this is such a good draft class y’all it’s um it’s a fun one for me to watch like especially after last year’s like I I know we all kind of had to talk ourselves into some players last year and I tried to keep that expectation with people I’m like hey this guy might go like third in the draft fourth in the draft fifth in the draft probably not going to be that good right just being honest with you guys from my evaluation of watching them these guys I think we could have like 14 15 high impact players like early in the draft so I don’t know I don’t know all right come on malach malake I I never know how to say his name either the Duke center right there’s going to be three duke names that come up here pretty early uh he’s pretty new to basketball for the most part 72 250 stands up he’s basically at The Rim already blocks a ton of shots this guy is incredibly smart like you see him basically telling all the other Duke players like where to go on their plays it feels like all the time what he lacks right now is literally just hasn’t played enough basketball like his reactions to things are sometimes a little slow like he’s very very good at just following the system right and that’s when I say smart like that’s what I mean like he’s not like basketball smart if you will this is just a very smart individual person cuz like you could tell he remembers everything that he’s told to do and that’s what he’s doing out there he’s going and doing what he’s told as soon as he starts getting some instincts cuz he’s he’s slow on like rotations and stuff at times right now and if soon as he starts anticipating things just from playing in more basketball games this guy’s going to be an awesome Center Prospect because he moves pretty well for a 72 guys he’s know when Bama but there’s a reason Wy is wemi right so you’re going to get a really good defensive Center here um do I think he has the potential to probably be a better defensive player than like say like Alex SAR probably I wouldn’t say he’s like as mobile as like SAR is and SAR has a lot more like ball handling skill and stuff like that than this guy has but he hasn’t played a ton of basketball so it’s going to take some time but really really big fan in there there’s the other Duke guy KH canle canle canle I don’t know I suck at names and I I got a comment on the last one of these they’re like you should learn the names if you want to sound like more official or whatever like okay shut up like I’m trying I’m not very good with names I’m not the most literate I’m not the most like I’m not the most intelligent person in the world it’s fine if there’s one thing I know it’s basketball all right and even that I get plenty of things wrong so it’s totally fine so uh canle uh that’s that’s what I’m going to call him cuz I like the name kiple Dalton connect pretty good comparison for him really really good shooter right that’s what he’s going to that’s what he’s going to do in the NBA he’s going to be a guy that’s above average athleticism right that’s going to be running around screens doing catch and shoot threes because while his ball handling and stuff is nice for um the college level I don’t think it’s probably going to be NBA good so again just kind of pin this guy in for where like adult and connect is I think is a pretty good comparison for him um I don’t think he has quite the like athleticism and natural basketball IQ that connect head but I think you’re going to see a similar type player where if a team uses him correctly he can be a floor spacer day one for you yet he can like catch and when people are closing him out hard he can take a couple more dribbles make that next pass keep the offense going respace things like that you know he’s going to be pretty smart cuz he came from duke right so I I like him a lot as a prospect I think he could be um I think it could be good um oh yeah he did have that one game against Kansas that was rough and like look it happened spacing in college basketball is the absolute worst thing to watch oh my gosh for those of you that watch like a ton of NBA basketball and don’t watch a lot of college like just go watch like a couple college games like in like I mean like you watch NBA basketball like consistently throughout the week you’ll be like what the hell are these guys doing like it’s just I don’t know it’s crazy oh here’s my Bulls there’s eigor eagor has fallen a little bit what’s kind of the idea for it NBA teams are always drawn to Big Playmakers and there are plenty of them this year his usage rate at BYU has been crazy crazy crazy crazy using height and angles he’s finishing really really well he’s also shooting with encouraging confidence yeah it looks very fluid I’ve liked the shot off the dribble and everything he’s he’s a Luca type of player right where he’s kind of like finessing things a little bit more and he’s getting to his spot he’s creating for himself people don’t really create for him very much so is what it is the microscope will intensify when he starts seeing tougher opponents regularly that’s what I want to see because the natural like athleticism and everything isn’t like his strong suit necessarily so I’m very curious to see like how he’ll be able to create at a college level uh when he’s playing with guys that like don’t understand facing and like teams tend to pack things in a little bit more what is he actually going to do then um but again coming to the NBA and being as smart as he is I think it’ll help him a little bit more um it says maintaining a similar level of production for an 18-year-old would be meaningful and at least NBA teams should see a translating the playmaking tide yeah no yeah I I completely agree with that I’m not tripping about anything else that happens this season just keep showing the playmaking and the ball handling and stuff like that you’re 6’9 probably going to be okay uh Boogie fland feels like he’s gone up the list just a little bit too and I’m not surprised necessarily to see that the kemell Walker comparison is pretty interesting I kind of like that one basically scoring shooting um uh minded point guard so a little bit smaller than the other ones well a lot of bit smaller 175 is pretty light at the end of the day but this is a college freshman at the end of the day um College freshman com in so slim I had a guy on my college team um what was it my junior year we had a freshman come in and he was 610 170 which was like whoa um I had a nickname for him that I won’t say on here cuz it might help you find him and I don’t want to draw attention to him whatsoever really good dude or whatever but my goodness like it really threw me off like first practice when I like put a shoulder in him dude just went flying cuz I was 65 225 and I was literally I literally just like stopped the play I was like bro you good and I was like I didn’t even like feel you like and we look we spent most of the year like just making him eat really I think he was on a 7,000 calorie diet that year crazy crazy crazy crazy but anyway um you guys don’t want to hear me talk about my stuff so much or maybe you do and you’re curious but Boogie flan really really creative with the ball handling a lot of quickness and everything good at getting to the rim just scoring guard right he can score from anywhere on the court I’m personally I’ve been a big fan of him so far like there’s a difference between a guy like this and like a Rob Dillingham like there is enough of like a size difference and what I feel like is um defensive potential just because of like how like he’s a little bit like wider than him and I think he’ll be able to get like his shot off a little bit easier and stuff so I like I I Akin him to being Like A Step Above like a Rob Dillingham type of player so I like Boogie I like Boogie I’d like to keep watching him Ben serth uh shout out to all my um my overseas viewers and everything they love to bring up Ben serif and for good reason I haven’t like truly watched a ton of him right but one cool to see another isra basketball player come in um great to see the game growing over there um he’s had an up and down November alternating efficient scoring games with ones where a shot and finishes wouldn’t drop yep that’s called being 18 years old I really don’t give a about that uh he’ll be in the first round discussion after the summmer MVP showing yep yep yep blah blah blah blah blah uh getting to his spots hitting jumper setting up teammates in Germany’s top League amazing right again big point guard playmaking things like that we’re seeing a lot of smart players that maybe aren’t thriving athletically quite as much so it’s interesting I feel like he’s got more in the little bit I’ve seen it seems like he’s got a few more counter moves than like the typical guy that we see like up here like I I look at like an Igor or something like that and I see maybe a little bit more like okay I’m relying on size and just being better than people right now I feel like he’s got a more methodical game kind of like a Dylan Harper right now so I’m I’m curious to see the development in um him uh Liam mcney the Yukon kid uh yeah he’s basically just going to be a shooting Wing when he gets into the NBA 67 they’re comparing him to Keegan Murray um it wasn’t a good week in Maui for him again that’s fine it’s so hard to become like a real lethal shooter in like college basketball just because the spacing is so crazy at times but yukon’s one of those teams that actually runs a more NBA Style system so we like to think that um we can trust what we see on the court a little bit more with them so keep that in mind at the very least Yep they’re going to be drawn to his three-point shot he’s smart because he goes to Yukon right uh he picks up easy baskets off the ball that’s super valuable at this position if you’re learning how to play without the basketball and they can find you in in college basketball doing that that’s awesome because it’s going to get so much easier in the NBA if you’re good at moving without the ball in college that’s actually something where it will get easier going to the NBA like the average Defender is better and they’re not going to give you quite as many opportunities but your teammates will know where to be as well and so that’s what’s going to help you so um I like McNeely for that reason again do I think it’s like a high potential thing not necessarily but I I like him I like him uh oh ASA noell again I’ve I’ve mentioned with him I got to watch him play a little bit in person I said oh wow this this kid’s bouncy he’s athletic he’s tall and he like the jump shot looks pretty clean okay I’m curious they got him as a power forward SL Center because he can move he can move pretty well right for being 611 220 at 19 years old the Jaylen Smith comparison is pretty interesting actually because yeah capable from outside is what I’d say gets up and down the floor well uh can play Above the Rim block some shots and stuff um manage 15.4 points per game mostly using his 611 size athleticism and motor to finish plays off Cuts yeah no fair enough offensive rebounds and transition yep he’s outworking people right now and he’s got a high skill level for his size so that’s awesome even without much ball handling skill for creation he’s still generating scoring chances by sneaking behind the defense High pointing offensive boards and covering ground quickly on the open floor yeah this is just like this is a raw guy right you’re like okay this size this kind of mobility and everything trying really hard on the basketball court awesome sign me up no bad mechanics anywhere that I can see so I’m I’m I’m a fan of this guy ever since I watched him I’m like oo this could be interesting this could be interesting uh Noah aenue I believe I said that one right you guys can tell me if I haven’t but all you need to know another french guy shout out France man they’re doing their thing by the way this is probably the last one that’ll go like a little bit more in depth on just cuz like I don’t want to cover all of them in the first round super crazy it’s just it becomes too long of a video then but what are we saying about him a Jabari Walker precious aoua comparison is kind of interesting that’s kind of implying like look he’s a wing not putting the ball on the floor like crazy to me this is a guy that I don’t know exactly what his skill set is outside of the fact that he’s like 69 young and like he’s shown a little bit of everything I just I don’t know what I’m supposed to develop him into right now so that’s why I found the pro comparison so peculiar to me cuz I’m like yeah I guess I don’t know what I expect him to necessarily be uh underwhelming 3. free throw percentage his shot looks fluid that’s what I’m saying like everything looks fine it’s just there’s nothing really stand in out to him so raw Prospect at the end of the day raw Prospect all right now I’m going to go through the rest of this video just kind of taking like more brief Jabs at people and everything if I know a little bit more I’ll I’ll speak up but there’s some people that I just haven’t watched a ton of yet next up we have Drake poell I still just haven’t watched much North Carolina basketball yet but I’ve consistently seen Drake Powell towards the top of these things uh they compare him to Keon Johnson Will Barton so kind of like that that shorter Wing if you will that’s a little bit stockier and stuff it’s a slow start for him cuz he was a lot higher in mock drafts at the start of the year um another quiet offensive game against Alabama I don’t know it just feels like North Carolina’s like running like some like in like the little bit I’ve seen so I don’t know that’s just me though that’s just me uh there’s some passing in mid-range shot making still to unlocked longterm but uh he looks ready to execute them flashes fair enough Jeremiah fears interesting interesting interesting um Oklahoma yep i’ I’ve seen the name passed around a little bit more now I think I even got a comment about it recently um freshman American Jaden Ivy comparison uh Jeremiah fears after an eye-catching start continued throughout Oklahoma for blah blah blah blah blah 17 points for assist he’s generating offense and standing out with an ultra quick first dribble and burst for getting to his spots and creating opportunities you’re 6’4 with a quick First Step you can do a lot of damage in the NBA along with the rim pressure and the Seven free throw attempts per game his aggression and speed have also translated to defensive playmaking 2.5 steals per game okay fair enough the offensive decision- making and chat making uh execution do need work okay so he might not have a great feel for the game yet but we’ve got a probably a growing kid that’s uh figuring out how to meld his athleticism with his new size or something like that and going from there I have to watch some more curious about it Thomas sorber interesting interesting the Georgetown kid I haven’t seen him up here yet and I’ll be honest have not watched much of him at all so 18-year-old Center 610 255 great size already uh perfect for a Georgetown Center Ona Kongo comparison should be jumping straight to the top of watch list with West Virginia blah blah blah blah blah mostly inferior opponents he ranks number one amongst freshman in blocks per minute by consistently uh scoring or BPM excuse me I thought BPM means something different to me in my statistics world uh even averaging 2.8 assist impressive processing inside the arc and passing accuracy that’s great he’s been viewed as a mod Center but he’s been highly effective playing back to the basket with quick spins okay so again nobody’s really going to let him do that at the NBA level not in like high usage rates um you kind of have to be that one trick pony that like Zack Yi kind of is to make that happen but I’m going to have to watch some film to see like how athletic is this guy is he a guy that could be like a a Don sharp or something like that I don’t know that’s what I’d be curious about uh Colin Murray boils I’m not surprised he’s falling a little bit just cuz I don’t see how his game translates to the NBA quite as well uh by the way was this the first like Center listed so centers where you at y’all where you at we we need some big men in this draft we have a lot of big wings and big point guards we just need traditional big men now and look they’re not as common just in general but you know got to got to find them where we can Murray’s boil um I just I don’t know like what he does like at a college level that he’s going to get to do in the NBA he’s kind of like a Jaylen Tyson was this year where I’m like yeah Jaylen Tyson did some cool things in college he just won’t get to do that in the NBA though so I don’t really understand why like I would go for that and that’s kind of what it feels like here he’s one of those guys that plays with his back to the basket a lot right he can really draw some things he sees outside of his um um his position pretty well like he can find other guys get him open and stuff like that but he’s Scrappy he’s going to get to the rim stuff like that uh Julius Randle comparison is actually a pretty fair one um I don’t know like cool size cool frame and everything just I don’t see the NBA uh translator yet so I don’t know is what it is uh miles bird interesting uh New Mexico or San Diego State excuse me I’m not too familiar with you yet I’ll be honest I haven’t done a New Mexico or why do I keep calling at that San Diego State Scout yet I was up till 3:00 a.m. working last night so just bear with me for a second 67 Devon vasel and Patrick mcaw interesting those two players I don’t see the similarities in very much intriguing per 40 minute numbers okay I I I brought this up somewhere the other day per 40 and like per 36 are my least favorite stats maybe just cuz like they’re like oh well if this guy played 36 minutes they just like convert it to what it would be then I hate that like people get tired it doesn’t account for the fact that like people get tired they play more in a game uh people key in on people more because they’ve seen more of their moves and stuff like that it’s just it’s just a dumb statistic like we might as well do like Plus or like per 100 minutes or something like that it’s just I don’t know I think it’s a dumb stat um let’s see he got a spot list watch um full-time roll he validating those uh standout passing and defensive rates although against a a tough strength of schedule as well making two threes per game that’s cool it’s 67 190 lbs okay so you’re still growing into your frame quite a bit uh he’s a confident shot maker early who can also make plays in ball screen situations with his pull-up Runner Court Vision to Shooters and Cutters he is an explosive attack in the rim but he’s flash glimpses of crafty maneuvering and adjustment finishes to help compensate for lack of burst who’s teaching these kids nowadays to manage pick and rolls and stuff like that I hadn’t seen that in Forever that’s that’s encouraging to hear okay interesting he’s more of a distributor than knockdown Defender uh with a wild steel 4.4% wow that is high and block 6.2% wow that is really high you guys should look up how those are calculated if you’re curious at all I guarantee zero of you do but is what it is um so okay someone to watch Hugo Gonzalez okay I’ve liked the little bit I’ve seen out of this guy um I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up like higher in drafts at the end of the day uh what I tell everybody is he’s my like Mario honia what do I mean by that I like I really like him when I watch him I’m not going to lie I really really like him I’m like okay I see a good frame good athleticism can make some shots and everything but I’m like he also just reminds me a lot of Mario honia and Mario honia didn’t work I don’t know if that’s just cuz like the magic at that point weren’t good at developing any Talent or something like that but Mario honia didn’t work and so in the back of my head I go I don’t want to mess that up again not like I was working for anybody at that point but I just I try to learn from my mistakes so that’s what I have to say about Hugo Gonzalez will Riley uh yep so this is this is my other Illinois guy here a good way to draw NBA attention is by debuting with 31 points and 25 minutes off the bench he came in the watch list on the ebl circuit yep uh a lot of um he he’s really smooth with the basketball for 6869 yep that’s fair he’s hit some crazy three-point shots at times he looks great in transition cool really interesting athletic prospect there shown some touch in the lanes and drives as well he’ll need it as he lacks explosiveness yep all sounds right to me I think he’s definitely worth a project for how well he moves with the basketball for his size very very cool very very cool uh learon fillian um yeah that’s the Alabama kid um I I watch a lot of Alabama basketball um I just I’ve got some connections there that I need to maintain and stuff like that but um 64 point guard big point guards this year and wings very very cool and now with senior Latrell right Latrell wri cell Jr lost for the season yep I I just struggled to say that name I want to say Latrell spr well so bad um freshman guard could be in line for more ball on ball responsibility uh he knows he knows how to play yep that’s very evident and like what I’ve seen so far uh more important for a point guard he’s not a high volume shooter they have so many guys that are like shooting on that team so I don’t even know if we could say that but he continues to use his floater Envision inside the arc it’s still a small sample size of games but he’s similarly effective at link Academy okay fair enough fair enough Nick Clifford okay I’m just really not familiar with your game much at all Landry fields I feel like to be Landry Fields you got to be like 68 69 but that because now you’re just like not very athletic and like not that tall but whatever NBA teams will eye him for a glue guy okay so he’s one of the older veteran guys okay that’s the idea he carried the Rams in overtime wi 25 points most realistic NBA case revolves on improved shooting okay so yeah I see the Landry Fields comparison now consistent rebounding passing IQ see like there’s nothing here that’s intrigued me right now um I’ll watch film on it at some point I’m sure but nothing really stood out to me there uh Doo okay another another big wing and everything um and sorry if I said the name wrong I I think I said it right maybe I don’t know you guys you guys can tell me at the end of the day again uh 68 220 lbs Kellin Johnson fair enough um one of the nation’s breakout prospects with a bigger role in Arkansas he’s been uh useful and intriguing for his athletic plays at both ends and energy but this year his shot looks more confident and fluid I haven’t really compared it much to last season whatso ever but I’ll have to I’ll have to take their word for it okay cuz yeah no dude was always a good athlete so that’s cool this is my guy Roco I love Roco zakari I just I don’t know it feels so easy to translate this guy to the NBA I I like the I like the instincts defensely I like the energy he plays with love the hair think it’s amazing but um I just see this guy as like pick and roll to the max going to block some shots going to be a really good role player in the NBA like right away so I don’t know I really like this guy he’s even shown some short-range touch and coordination maneuvering around his man to convert tougher angles that’s a weird way to describe that but fair enough uh he really needs to excel in the paint given his limitations as a post scor and shooter yeah don’t care in the NBA we have plenty of ball handlers I need people that can set screens go run jump dunk that’s what I need you to do he can do that very very well play great defense here for it uh Noah penda ah yes I’ve uh he’s another French one right yeah France Nick Batum yeah he’s the Nick Batum comparison that’s that’s what you need to know about him he’s Nick Batum that’s a good thing uh DQ Queen I’ve seen I’ve seen some film of him it’s another Center when I look at him it like and I see like 25 I I I thought that was Diamond Stone’s number back in the day I can’t quite remember though I played against Diamond Stone in high school and oh my god did I get messed up if you don’t know who Diamond stone is just look him up oh my god did I get messed up I got switched on to him all game I just got bullied straight bullied but that’s basically what I with him is like skinnier Diamond Stone so maybe not the most big man in the world but interesting enough uh Ian Jackson was way higher in mock drafts at the start of the year it’s kind of falling off I again don’t have much to say about him has been productive in his bench roll 21 points per 40 minutes ah you youall got me a 21 points per 40 minutes how many minutes does he play there’s no context in this his margin for error will remain small particularly considering he 6’4 guard who offers limited who offers minimum playmaking and passing yeah that’s that’s not going to cut in the NBA if you’re not if you’re 64 and you can’t handle pass or like shoot nope don’t like it don’t like it and rasher Fleming a power forward from St Joseph he’s blocking a shot at the power forward position what are you going to tell me he is Chris buet that’s a great comparison already coming off a career high 25 points against Princeton is now up to 40% from three using his 240lb frame for finishing offensive rebounding uh he does not look confident in fluid spotting up from the corners and popping out to the wings uh he oh he does look confident okay interest is bound to build in a 69ine power forward who spaces the floor and wins around the B he’s going to have to be able to move though because if you’re going to play power forward you got to be able to play the wing so maybe he’s like a spacing Center or something all right I’m going to go scroll through the rest of this see if there’s anybody else I’m really interested in otherwise we’ll go from there oh Ryan cul brener here um I don’t think he’ll do much in the NBA but he’s kind of a uh a fun one to watch at the very least cariban I wouldn’t be surprised if he sneaks his way into the first round somehow just because um people might see him as just like a solid foundational piece of georgees Nang is a great comparison for championship team could use a guy like that going through the rest of them cam Jones interesting not too care Alex Tui people have told me I need to watch some more of him I just know he plays in Australia so haven’t seen a ton dink Pate was a guy I was surprised didn’t go in like this last years’s uh draft somehow I was thinking maybe like they would change the rules or something and let him go in like a little bit earlier or something like that but is what it is um again bigger guy handles the ball a little bit kind of cool uh moving on moving on Milan yeah I’ve watched this guy play a little bit just cuz I have some buddies over at Iowa State um interesting JT toppen I’ve seen go higher at times not too crazy about any of these guys um oh that’d be really cool to see xaven Lee go do we really think he’s like NBA good um if you guys haven’t watched him go watch uh him play really really fun um what we got here Danny wolf uh aich oh yeah he’s the brother of someone else that’s projected to go right is that is that it I I thought he was related to some I I could be getting that tripped up Proctor he should just stay at Duke for forever and keep cashing in his checks there I think that would be the best for him KJ Lewis lonb Kobe Brea not too interested marovich no idea honestly Daren Williams I’ve seen him play a little bit uh Mark Sears wouldn’t be surprised if he goes late that makes a ton of sense um like a like a Steph Curry type kind of cool hunter Salis yeah just from the scoring if nothing else you can tell he’s really trying to be more than just a scorer this year so I commemorate that a little bit um yeah this guy here just Kirk Hinrich if it’s not Kirk Hinrich I don’t care no M Mike muscala he goes like whenever he dribbles the ball he puts his butt into people like instantly and that’s why I want to say Kirk Hinrich but you know is what it is at the end of the day Gabe Matson this guy shoots the out of the basketball oh my goodness what is second round draft he’s been above 30 every season since arriving at Utah yeah no stupid good three-point shooter a lot of fun okay that’s the mock draft y’all hey as always there’s a lot of room to grow in knowledge with this as the season goes on we’ll learn more and more and more but it’s fun to talk about this stuff for the time being so hey you guys tell me who I should be watching and stuff if I find some free time maybe I’ll tune in and watch some of their film or something but hey appreciate you guys as always we’ll talk to you later have a wonderful weekend bye [Music] oh
