snowballing against you right now yeah I mean you know we didn’t give up we gave up a couple of we gave up I I hate the first goal you know I just I think we talked about not giving up odd man rushes from the offensive zone and we did um you know they got a couple chances foxy was doing the right thing he got a shot by a second layer and somebody slip behind and they get behind on a breakway chesty makes a save you know there’s another another chance the same thing we block a shot or a shot gets blocked they come around and they they score the second goal we leave there two nothing on just only giving up a couple of even strength chances a few even strength chances and so it’s frustrating from that standpoint to to and I thought we could have scored two or three at the end of the first and you leave the first perir and you’re down two nothing and you just you know that’s that’s not the way you want to start a division game against the Devils it’s just it’s not good it’s not it’s not where we want to be and um you know then from there they they scored couple on the power play and so it just you know it just didn’t it never it never found its Groove even though I thought we had chances to score and um opportunities to to get on the board and things could have happened differently to try and keep it down and and it didn’t we need to be we need to be better than that Peter the psyche of your team right now you go behind by a couple big yeah I mean you know what maybe but I don’t mind the way we finished the first period I thought that the guys were down in the offensive zone and we were we’re trying we know I thought we could have scored two or three goals by the time the clock ticked off at the end of the first period it could have been 2-1 it definitely could have been 2-2 maybe even 3-2 but it wasn’t and um you know that’s that’s frustrating so while it’s not I I don’t think it’s an ideal thing and you’re building against like I said a team in division it’s not ideal to to start a game that way I do think that we push through the first and try to generate when you have a little bit of a fragile team right now when you don’t generate when you do have a push and then the period ends is that maybe a little harder to deal with to come out for the second period as well like you know um you know at that point I think you’re pulling a couple positives from it we made a mistake we made we made a couple mistakes and they scored on them and so you address that and then you move on but you look at the period and the the chances that were generated the shots and the chances in the first um after that point um you got to build off of that it’s two nothing you can still win a hockey game and that was the that was the message that was U that was the intent going out for the second period Peter you s and he the last five five imps the first into yeah I I don’t know if it was five minutes there was there was other guys are going you need you know we just need more out of um a little bit more out of those guys and there were some things that happened in the course of the first I thought they both really turned on their game but there was other guys that were going mik’s line was very strong in the first period and so we just kept putting them out there I thought Sam had some good shifts with his line in the first period And so we’re putting if you got to get going everybody’s got to get going and so um you know you’re not going you got to you got to find your Rhythm but at that point again we were down in the offensive zone and we were pounding so the lines that were out there and were generating I just put them back out on the ice it wasn’t so much a message or anything like that they did play in the first they came back out and played in the second it was just that I was going with the lines that seemed to have have what it needed in order to to try and push it to two to one or get us on the board what do you feel like is the key to stay mentally afat now that yeah listen we got to we got to Win Hockey games I mean we’re we’re a good hockey team and um right now it’s we’re not playing very good hockey um we need to be better and those are things that are in our control those answers are in the room and those are the answers that we need to figure out as a group Peter what about the emotions you know last game I know you were happy with the emotional Battle of the team and maybe there were some mistakes that were made but you thought that you know that was really there did you feel the emotion was the same at all tonight I I already answered the first first period the second period had so many penalties in it it was really tough to get a feel for the game five on five but I I think we had I don’t know nine shots on the power play and six shots on the penalty kill there was maybe four or five on the even strength whatever it might be there was a lot going on in the second period with regard to Specialty teams and then I think they just you know the Zone the guys never stopped playing in the third period it was down in the offensive zone the whole time but I think they changed their game too they’re up 5 to one and so they stopped pressing and they just kept moving the out and we had to try and figure a way to get back through the neutral zone so maybe not a a good period to try and figure out exactly whether we were pressing or not but the guys kept pushing in the third it’s just we need we need more we we need to be better we need to it’s got to be sharper in the first when we first take the ice regardless of the effort or some whether it’s effort or whether it’s execution it’s got to be better right off the bat it’s got to be more consistent through the game what we’re doing isn’t good enough so to sit here and accept it that’s that’s unacceptable itself Jacob’s ice time has been down each of the last two games just what made now I guess the the time where you felt that was yeah I mean it’s again it’s not even about that it’s it’s not about somebody losing the minutes if if schneid is going to elevate and play with key then those minutes there’s minutes that are being taken somewhere else and so um you know same with foxy and Lindy and okay thank you
