has wheed the axe yet again what the hell is going on literally I have no idea just seen this break right now we’re talking about it we’re going to get into the details I’m going to go straight into the report that has come out from David onstein from the athletic and just read through it I’m catching up with everything myself on this right now so we’re all in this live together we’re reading into this and finding out what the hell is going on so I’m going to find out about all of this just as everybody else is right now so let’s get into what is actually going on I’m just going to read through the report from David alstein from the athletic and what has come out literally in the last hour Dan ashw has left his role as Manchester United sporting director after just five months Ashworth officially joined United on July 1st after a lengthy period of gardening leave at fmer Club Newcastle United but the transition has not been smooth and his exit has been decided upon ashwith departure was agreed in a meeting with Chief Executive Omar barad at Old Trafford after the United Premier League game with Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening so Jim radliff has been pivotal uh to call uh to uh to the call to part ways uh in a move that will stunt staff at United given Ash’s prominence in trying to reshape the club multiple sources speaking anonymously like uh like others in the story to protect relationships say Manchester United instigated uh the separation at the club say the final agreement to end Ash’s contract was Mutual no the new Radcliffe Le hierarchy overseen by S brailsford had placed ashwith in overall charge of United’s football performance Recruitment and operations with Jason Wilcox also a new arrival reporting to him as technical director Ash himself reported into barard who arrived in a summer from Rivals Manchester City all Executives were across the decision to keep Eric tag as manager with ashwith quoted on an official announcement of the Dutchman’s extended contract in June Ash has also involved was also involved in the summer of heavy spending at ult Trafford which included the arrivals of Leno mam mattius deake NS mrai and Joshua xeri in an outlay of around 200 million Ashworth was quoted on the confirmation of each signing he was a vice inen Haag the missile in October 2 but there were no words from the executive to accompany the appointment of Ruben amarim with bar a driving force behind the appointment uh Radcliffe is on record praising ashwith Dan ashwith is clearly one of the top sporting directors in the world United’s uh said United’s coowner in February I have no doubt he is very capable person uh he is interested in Manchester United because it’s the biggest challenge at the biggest club in the world it would be different at City because you’re maintaining a level he he is a significant rebuilding job uh he would be very he would be a very good addition but the reality has been more difficult prompting the sudden separation it leaves United searching for a major role to fill into a structure that is still fairly new Ashworth appointed uh had come to an end of the extent uh of extensive negotiations with the 53y old having informed Newcastle he wanted to leave manchest leave for Manchester United in February as negotiations stall it was reported uh he intended to take his former employers to arbitration to facilitate the move before a resolution was uh eventually reached Newcastle had been seeking the compensation of 20 million uh Ashworth had joined Newcastle from uh Brighton in 2022 I’m just quickly reading over the top to the he moved to Brighton so and so and so during his time ashw fa uh and yeah there are whatever you read into that that’s just the initial report right now what we have to look at is and breaking this down this is an absolute utter embarrassment literally can they not do anything this club that doesn’t embarrass everybody involved like seriously what the hell is going on where’s the best-in class where’s the so-called best-in class about giving it time understanding the role making big changing making big calls yeah this is a big call but Jesus we what is going on at this football club what are they doing behind the scenes seriously it is scatter gun it is trigger happer it is just out of control this is supposed to be the best that there is out there Manchester United right now in terms of money and what we’re actually spending and what it’s actually costing us to get rid of Staff it’s just cost us 21 million quid to bring in a new coach cuz the r manager was crap it just cost us what how much now on Dan ashwith I got no idea but the initial outlay and compensation was upwards of 2 million anyway wasn’t it are we just like are we just happy to throw money away and throw money down the drain this football club what the hell is going on at Manchester United right now honestly I have no idea like I said this is all coming out fresh to me uh and I’m just going to read through some of the comments and what has been said I’m going to go through some of the tweets right now as well Manchester United sporting director Dan Ashworth just walked through uh the media room heading from one part of the stadium to another he kept his head down and didn’t make eye contact with the journalist present that’s from the BBC uh Dan ashwith leaves Manchester United after five months that’s the one we’ve just read out from David onstein now on the full article from the athletic a Grimace Dan Ashworth uh was escorted through the press conference room uh to Colette roach by Colette roach after the game last night to take uh an alternative exit out of the stadium accompanied by security official uh in the uh in retrospect perhaps he was uh far marched out honestly this is ridiculous this is just I I don’t get it I I don’t understand what’s going on right now anyos major questionable mishaps recently this is a list that someone’s compiled here already uh retaining ten Haag after the summer some some questionable transfers sacking the manager midseason increasing ticket prices parting wage with Dan Ashworth after just five months I tell you what when you call Out World win starts to ten years or what a way to kick start your time at a certain job or club or whatever this is right there at the top isn’t it I mean what inos have done in such a short space of time I’ve praised him I’ve biged them up I’ve been all for what the recruitment has been and the CH and the transfer window but something is clearly wrong here and what is more worrying about this is how Manchester United’s hierarch and structure are so Keen to move things on and act like there is there is reactional obviously there is very very positive reactional stuff and they’re trying to move United in the right direction but is this just a little bit too much I think is the question we’ve got to ask here wow honestly I don’t know what happens now so how much of the Janu transfer window and the future planning of the transfer window was Dan Ashworth involved in do we have to forget about all that scrap that and then just work straight from at the beginning again right now what the hell we are literally what four three four weeks away from a January transfer window with big decisions needed to be made and Manchester United’s first ever director of football at the football club is gone after just 5 months bang honestly what is going on this is just ridiculous right now I no idea why s Jim Radcliffe has sacked Dan ashwith and something has gone wrong behind the scenes we can only start to speculate right now and I’m sure everybody in the journalist world and the media will start to dig as to what’s actually happening at Manchester United and find out why Dan Ashworth has left his role at the football club but this is just beyond right now this is just ridiculous it just looks like we are uh we are just we haven’t got a clue what we’re doing that’s what it looks like it really does look like it is just it’s hell mares everywhere oh this is not working we’ve got to make we’ve got to make we’ve got to make a decision we’ve got to do something I’m just going to get into some of the extras off the back of that so we’ve just read arnstein’s report out there and this is extending reporting now from other members of the athletic uh an embarrassing exit for all concerned analysis by Manchester United correspondent Lori Whitwell so Lori Whitwell here on the athletic as well has said this this is a hugely significant development that will cause reverberations at Manchester United ashwith has held up uh was held up as an example of the new inos leadership getting best-in-class operators so to concede it was it it as a mistake less than half a year into the relationship strikes as embarrassing for all concerned perfect statement and exactly how I would actually read that out right now and is just coming straight out in the last hour so we’re reacting I’m reacting and we’re reacting to the journalist are reacting to this now cuz this is a whole fresh just out the sudden departure is one thing but then there LM United went to to secure him Ashworth has ended up working as many months at United July to December as the club waited to get him through the door February to July it just keeps getting worse W it the compensation fee to Newcastle stood at between two to three million a figure that is notable when set against the reported 1.5 million in raised revenues from United hiking ticket prices for the rest of the season honestly like that just to get rid of someone I mean there is Cutthroat approach and then there is scraping the barrel and really cutting corners and then there is all of the above and that there honestly I see where Lor’s going with this here uh and 2 million it cost to get him in reporting 1.5 million that they’re going to gain in raising ticket prices surely they couldn’t have been preempting this and thinking ahead and doing that just to get rid of Dan ashwith that would be absolutely ridiculous if that was the case surely not uh what it shows is that Radcliffe is not prepared to wait around if something is not working to his mind uh but a departure at this early stage inevitably brings into question his judgment in the first place yeah and that’s where you’re at I understand s Jim mli not being happy is that is he looking has he not watched Manchester United over the last 10 years does he not know how far back we’ve Fallen has he not talked about in recently and this is where this whole report comes from yesterday I saved the piece that came out yesterday about Jim rackliffe not being happy at Manchester United and where we are and what’s going on and the Recruitment and everything it just looks like he’s just had one of these meltdowns to Jim Radcliffe and he’s just gone trigger rapper who is the first person that I can point the CL at for the start and what’s happened bang There You Go Dan you’re out the door no don’t care someone has to be held accountable for what is going on at United and Dan Ashworth has got the chop it is a sacking Manchester United have made this happen it wasn’t uh a mutual it says it’s mutual in the end but obviously it was made untenable for Dan asworth to stay at Manchester United United were the instigators in getting rid of Dan Ashwi he is out the door he is gone he is finished he is no longer and United like I just said are heading into a transfer window in three or four weeks time with no director of football it’s like that role is cursed what was the point in having one we thought we got the best in class and now s Jim Radcliffe all of a sudden thinks he knows best and he’s got rid of Dan aswith I just think it’s very reactional to be honest like you cannot expect Manchester United to turn a corner and turn things around this quickly off the pitch and on the pitch literally what four months into a season five months into a new turning of a page a new era at Manchester United from the summer when all the announcements were made and we’re already sacking the people that we’re part of this big new era of the football club what the hell honestly it just is staggering it really is oh Jim mcliff has been pivotal to to call to Pat way so this is all on S Jim Radcliffe uh everyone’s reporting this right now onstein has said this that was the main part from report if you are just joining us the Dan aswith has been sacked by Manchester United so Jim Manchester United is gone with immediate effect so everything that United did like Lori Whitwell has just said there and getting Dan Ashwi in has now all been undone because s Jim rancliffe the man at the top is just not happy with where Manchester United are at embarrassing yeah yes everybody looking in at United again headline news yes are we are we doing well on the pitch no are things going well off the pitch no have we really turned the page clearly not right now and this just adds to the circus again I thought the circus was ending I honestly did I thought I was going to be coming on shows here and talking about football I had a full show prepared later on for tonight uh I was going to have the day off just let everything settle I put out all of the content from earli from yesterday uh my faults talking pure football matters but again Manchester United and the whole club has taken center stage and has taken the focus off everything else I mean it probably wasn’t bad taking a focus off yesterday’s performance because that was crap but still this plus the football that’s going on right now playing Manchester City next week Ruben amarim struggling with what’s in here I you just honestly your ready is going to explode if you try and take in everything that’s going on with this football club right now it just it never fails to a Asia does it it is just now at a place and a stage where you just wouldn’t expect you you’d expect anything to happen you’d expect anything to come out from this I’m going have to look at Twitter right now and just look at the absolute meltdown of what’s going on with everybody is ridiculous honestly this is a man that’s been Forefront of everything going on he has been the face of Manchester United and ino’s takeover he has been been at the he has been at the Forefront of all of the announcements all of the statements everything that Manchester United have wanted to change everything that United have wanted to put in place to turn this ship around and get Manchester United going in the right direction ashwith was the front of it and now he has gone it is over it is finished Dan ashwith is no more Manchester United I don’t know where they go from here we need to find a new director of football I’m going to get into to the comments section just to get your initial thoughts on everything that’s going down right now get your comments in everyone we are dealing with this all at the same time uh is it likely ashwith was under a probation period that won’t cost them more than what they initially paid Newcastle to get him honestly we’re talking peanuts here in 2 million quid in compensation for all the effort that they went and I’m with Lori Whitwell on this one for the amount of effort that they put into to get ashw through the door to believe him of his duties now just 5 months in it just shouts out desperation concern and now a real worry for the future ahead for this football club because everything that I thought looked right business wise structure everything inos were doing right now honestly I have been shut down so many times over these last four weeks just pure hope the hope that kills you just for football matters on the pitch Ruben amim arriving and then I’m hoping that the players can actually take on this and turn it around look from top to bottom of his football club yet again we’re talking about things that are just going completely wrong it’s just not something is’s just fundamentally not right at his football club ah I I mean I don’t know like we will find out right off the page so I’ve had my reaction I’ve had my meltdown I’m just concerned about where this club is everyone’s having their say uh let’s just break down what might have happened and what could be going on right now has Manchester United start to the season been bad yes it has has that been Dan as’s fault no because I think everybody fought the players that we brought in in the summer we’re good players we’re talking about these players apart from xer aside who has been a concern apart from xer everybody else that’s been brought in I mean that’s what Dan ashwith is in charge of you cannot really blame Dan ashwith for keeping ten ha surely can you not cuz he wasn’t here when the announcement was made that tag was staying if that is the case then United in trouble anyway because that means that Dan ashwith was part of the decision well on guarding League which is illegal so I can’t see that I actually look at this and go right okay what has he done or what is the Fallout something has happened behind the scenes which has triggered this that we don’t know about it has to have conspiracy theories and everything and that’s all going to start rumbling on right now and I get it but seriously like something has to have gone on I automatically start thinking like how is he supposed to develop Manchester United how is he supposed to make Manchester United better he’s there to help Reuben H maybe he didn’t want Ruben H I don’t know everything seemed to be all smiles for the cameras and everything when he arrived uh is there a problem with the players can he not do his job with the old contracts that are in place like certain players getting game time certain players have too much to a say uh the way that this club is run and the culture is it too much for him to change honestly I don’t understand it because I cannot see any us coming in and allowing players To Rule The Roost again after what’s gone on everything was put in place to say culture culture culture it all has to change the mentality of everything moving forward has to change as a whole so I cannot honestly see anything that the players are doing or any hold that the players have got having any effect on what Dan Ashworth leaving Manchester United could do I honestly don’t feel like that’s had anything to do with it at all I’d be I’d be really really concerned if that was the case if there was anything to do with that and just said look I can’t do this I can’t do that I can’t work under these conditions uh I don’t know I mean ashth will come to arsal says zann honestly right now I I don’t care like I am being baned completely shot at at everything right now just through my faults on where I thought United would be I’m just going to be a laughing stock with everybody who has had an issue with my thoughts right now I’m just going to have to take that on but really where I’m at right now as a United fan I’m just in a concerned place I’m just going to be brutally honest right now and just say I’m worried about where we’re going I I’m concerned about enos’s approach I wasn’t happy with what happened with ticket prices uh I don’t know what’s happening in with Dan ashwith Ruben am is in uh I’m fully convinced we will lose three games in a row in the league and there’s going to be people sad people that are saying that we’re in a relegation Zone we’re not in a relegation Zone even though we are probably going to be close to the bottom three uh by the end of this about this time next weekend but still I think there is promise there with inam and the team but I’m looking at it I’m going I have to wait a long time now for amarim to have full effect on this football club and I had my whole hopes pinned on players and certain players leaving Manchester United Ruben aming outing a lot of these players and then inos backing him in the summer you’ve all heard me say that and now I’m in a position here where I’m seen the team completely fail straight out and have complete mental breakdowns like yesterday and then on the same day the man that I thought was really going to kickart Manchester United and get these players out in the summer and work alongside Ruben amarim has been sacked and you can understand why I’m concerned I just don’t get it initi I’m just not getting what this decision is all about right now I’m surely you cannot blame Dan Ashworth for what is going on on that pitch how many people are going to suffer because of what these players are doing on the pitch how many more more people honestly like the amount of staff that have left Manchester United since inas have come in because they are Surplus to requirements say how many more staff they’re cutting Corners because the way this football club has been run the plays that were brought in the the underperforming players that have been brought in constantly like the biggest problem at this football club as always been how Manchester United have been driven under the glazers and the players have got away with murder because the glazers are running the football club it’s as simple as that we all know that but when youve just turned the page and you just put these Paving blocks in place and the foundations in place to do this rebuild it feels like I’m starting over again it feels like I have to wait again till the summer till another big announcements come I’m not accepting writing off a season I cannot accept that as a United fan I’m sick to death of this sto start and having to reboot all of the time did we not just make a statement and things come out in the media about Manchester United and the days gone by of spending big and doing complete rebuilds going and this is what this structure was going to bring and now we’ve just thrown a steak right through the heart of that structure and gone right no let’s rip that up and start again honestly it’s bad enough watching them at the moment on the pitch after what we’ve watched and how poor they’ve been in the attitude of some of these players not all of them some of them and you know what I mean by that and then we’re reading this and it’s like they Zayn there he’s more than welcome to come in and just rib United I know Liverpool fans are laughing at us right now and walking out in the pissing down rain last night listening to Forest fans jumping around in Jubilation their first winning God knows how many years at Old Trafford jumping around the whole club the whole place has just gone back to being the laughing stock of the Premier League yet again and it’s demoralizing for the fan base all of this money there we’re now paying if this is right this ticket price hike from inos we are now paying again the money to get rid of Dan ashwith so again the banner that was up in the stadium yesterday in the stretford then that says it your debt not ours the mistakes that this club keep on making behind the scenes on the pitch wherever it may be the fans are being punished continuously for it not only in the banter akes and everybody laughing at us not only where we are and what we’re paying to watch the standard of football we are not only is it every single Club coming to us and just coming here for a day out and having a laugh at United but now it looks like there is no future I don’t know who’s coming in next I don’t know who he’s going to take the role on I don’t knowing in he has to probably promote Jason Willcox to save money no idea the way that they’re going about it honestly it just makes me sick it does all the hope that I had has just been drained in two days on the pitch and off the pitch this has been a horrific weekend for Manchester United and the club are pinned up there in the embarrassment sector again within this league honestly there are some really crazy owners within the Premier League there are some absolute nut balls they really are but Manchester United right now they’re making everybody just fall into insignificance when it comes to how not to run a football club honestly I’m going to get into all of your comments now get into it be harsh be right in be cut throat I don’t care right now honestly everyone just be honest and let’s get into this I’m just going to scroll up and stop there KB says redcliffe uh is shrewd and ruthless there is something bigger that we aren’t aware of uh let’s not take this so negative L until we know more no it don’t matter if if we don’t know more if we know more mate it’s negative it’s pure negative because we’re a laughing stock again we’ve just brought a man in 5 months in if something has gone on and we haven’t vetted him properly or something else that’s gone behind the scenes then that’s embarrassing it’s a negative and everything that he was building ready for the summer and ready for the window in January is gone now so it is negative there’s no other way of looking at it and yeah you’re right that we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes whichever way you look at it and what’s happening and how ruthless the Jim Radcliff is it’s still negative it’s still ridiculous that we’re having to do this uh maybe Ashwi objected to the ticket prices I hope so it’s still embarrassing for the club really you’ve got someone who’s standing up for what’s right maybe and then letting go because they don’t agree with s Jim rackliffe or so David brailsford uh it’s it’s a ah honestly whichever way it’s just a mad one uh uh we need to have Bruno’s replacement the second goal came from his careless back pass uh he gives away balls too much in two years no we don’t uh when Bruno came off yesterday we had no creativity at all Bruno was involved in the first goal Bruno scored the second goal massively involved in everything that was positive if you want to pick out the negative uh then go for it honestly like I’m sick of the Bruno hate at the moment with everybody there were more things and a lot more important things going on I just don’t think we’re being fair on players like him right now honestly I would take 11 of him right now in this team that’s where I’m at just to actually see some desire and actual heart and bravery because that’s what this team is lacking uh this uh this has nothing to do with uh Ash uh wanted to what Ash wanted to do next he got the sack as the ones above him thought he was not good enough just because you don’t get it doesn’t mean it’s the wrong decision don’t know if you’re saying that to me at all what did Ashworth do wrong on paper five months in like why you having a go at me seriously like it’s still embarrassing for Manchester United it’s an absolute joke I don’t care what you say or what you think my opinion is honestly I just feel like this is just embarrassing for the football club you’re having to get rid of your sporting Direct vtor who you spent months trying to get in fighting to get into the club and you’ve not give him a chance you’ve not even given him a year surely a year they asked have been something else gone on behind the scenes and if it is the right decision for Manchester United then good but it still doesn’t stop it being a joke whichever way you look at it you’re in the middle of a season what is Dan aswith going to do to change what’s happening in this season apart from looking the players that he brought in in the summer oh by the way yeah dick’s been great mazra has been great yeah agat has been great so he’s not doing too bad is he with what he’s done so far some there’s been a big Fallout but it’s nothing to do with what his performance has been I don’t think I mean seriously I thought that’s what we got rid of 10 AR for uh Dan gone to me this means uh all the 30 years all the 30 years old are finished giving Bruno a new contract uh has to be a small part of it uh he signed rubbish according to uh Omar uh Dan brought them in really Aly rubbish we just talked about the players there like the ones that everyone’s talking about and heing praising at the moment are the new players so I don’t get it I really don’t we can’t judge roro after yesterday surely can we honestly like wow I didn’t expect people’s reactions to this I’m going to be honest uh TBL football understands that inos boss and Manchester United co-owners Sim rackliff instigated ashw shock exit from the club ashw exit was decided on Saturday evening following the 3-2 loss uh home to Nottingham Forest that’s from uh gram Bailey as well that’s just come out now uh it’s not writing off the season Adam but bringing in a new manager with a completely different system was going to take time to integrate it is writing off the season it is I’m talking about what the fans are saying I’m not willing to write off a season when we’re only a third of the way through unied hemry took Villa from relegation to European places in one season there is definitely a way of getting Manchester United up there every will get up there I’m just not having the fans give up on a season at all I cannot handle that and I will not say that Manchester United season is over I won’t stand for it uh this smell this smells of Jim radliff making too many football indecisions and Ash with telling him a few truths when he was put in the line in line in the line of fire I’m sure he brought danash in to make certain decisions and tell him and make crucial decisions I get what uh Gan said there like maybe he didn’t like Bruno Fernandez getting a new contract I don’t know like if it is Dan ashw who makes the final call surely Omar bar is part of that surely Omar br will say to Dan Ashworth no he has to go to Omar BR and ask that surely don’t it if it is just Dan ashwith that’s in charge of it maybe that is a big point of it but has Bruno really been that horrendous so far there’s got to be some communication within the club and everybody would have been talking about Bruno Fernandez it’s too fresh it’s too new with anyos being in for him not to be talking to each other about giving Bruno a contract to make that much of an impact anyos need to come out and make a statement and explain this decision to the fans before they create more anger uh angers and theories the theories are going to go this is just what happens with United it is they’re not going to care they’re not going to come out with any statement to the fans I don’t think either iard Ashworth suggesting selling rashford honestly if he’s been sacked for that I’d give up right now I give up right now uh we outed Fred and Scott uh for heart and work rate uh as not good enough uh why uh is that alone acceptable for Bruno he not come on United like it gives more than that geez like seriously was everyone else not watching the game die when Bruno came off yesterday everyone’s saying get him off he took him off for 20 minutes and we just fell he created the first he scored the second and created the second he’s doing a lot more than a lot of other players in this team it’s still so unfair uh Ashworth was poor at Newcastle poor at England and did nothing at Brighton due to uh due to the analytics team uh said so when he signed uh Bruno has been horrendous and let’s not forget his captain uh Maguire was torn apart as Captain for this sort of team performance I just disagree with him being horrendous mate I really do I really do honestly like I only have to mention Bruno’s name and everyone goes absolutely mental give me 10 of him on that pitch right now honestly I just have to disagree with everyone on that I understand everyone’s opinions and everything but this is so far away from what the issue is right now why is everyone going in on Bruno all of a sudden because everything’s going wrong like he is so far away from the problem honestly I just don’t get it I really don’t I understand player opinions and everything like that but I’m just I’m so confused by it honestly I really am uh Chelsea only took two seasons to rebuild look at them now uh we also fell with Bruno he’s 30 and not good
