tayl of two halves the Knicks were up by seven going into the second half and got destroyed in that third quarter 34 to 18 won the fourth quarter 28 to 27 but out scored basically in the second half by 15 points we got destroyed on the boards man they outrebounded US 58 to 49 and had 22 offensive rebounds and that was the ball game they didn’t shoot that well from the field at all they only shot 43% I believe make sure I got a they only shot they they shot 41% from the field man 41% from the field they shot 29% from three and 65% from the line we shot 43% from three from from from the field offensive Juggernaut game that they and it wasn’t even defense the refs were just atrocious tonight right and you know I’m I’m going to play you know T you know tips what he said stated earli but he I I’m sorry man I’m sorry he he played like straight dog you know what I I I really want to say it on the show but I’m trying to keep it G-rated here but he played terrible man terrible now I don’t know what’s wrong with him I don’t know if he’s got a ankle and knee problem that from the other night in Toronto just Nicks what’s going on man appreciate you coming through Rock with LV live tonight himself it was not Dyson Daniels Brunson just wasn’t even looking to shoot the ball at all he was getting in the hole he was looking to facilitate every single time he was not going to his fallway he was not doing his pivot moves he wasn’t doing anything man nothing it was the time in the third quarter where I said yo what’s going on with Brunson man he just he just looked like he was on another planet I don’t know he look like he wasn’t even into the game at all guys I’ve played this game my whole life man my whole life I’ve watched it my whole life I’ve watched numerous tournament tournament games I’ve been you know I’ve been around some of the best ball players you you could name up I could tell when a guy just doesn’t have it like he his mind is someplace else and that’s what it felt like with me with Brunson he was not engaged I don’t care what he’s out there playing yeah but he just did not seem there at all he just seemed on another planet D Daniels wasn’t doing anything that he hasn’t seen before he’s guys with length have guarded him before Dyson Daniels is not the greatest defensive player in the league I mean he’s a good Defender yes but is Dyson Daniels better than OG anobi no he’s not is he better than Caruso no he’s not and Brunson was cooking Caruso so so so so so no it’s it’s no it’s it’s not no it’s no it’s not no it’s not no it’s not no it’s not no it’s not it’s not good defense man it’s not good defense I’m trying to tell you it’s not good defense not saying he didn’t play good I’m not saying that but what I’m saying is that when you’re when you’re an elite guy Elite not not not good Elite it doesn’t matter who defends you it doesn’t matter man it doesn’t you get yours because you know how to get yours brunson’s been doing this before so what I’m saying is there were times where he was getting in the hole he was getting in position he wasn’t even looking to shoot he was looking to pass that’s why I’m saying his game wasn’t right and you’re kind of noticing okay offensively we’re kind of going through a law right now right we’re going through a law that’s when your your guy the main guy the captain you say to yourself all right yo we running we we running a one floor one floor flat if anybody doesn’t know what that means that means I’m at the top of the key everybody spread out on the floor I’m at the top of the key one four flat someone sets a screen on me I’m getting busy because we need a bucket we need a bucket right now we we we struggling right now I didn’t see that from him at all at all and last year I saw that a lot yes I’m so glad that he is a facilitator he’s a better facilitator this [ __ ] I am but when you know your team needs a bucket you got to get a bucket my man you got to get a bucket and and he’s the best of the best when it comes to that so there’s Dyson Daniels wasn’t doing nothing so what I’m saying is that that’s what I did not see from him and when you’re the guy you’re the captain you’re averaging 25- two my man you got my man you got to take it over man you gota you got to start putting up shots when you see your team is struggling offensively not when everybody’s flowing and everybody’s knocking down shots you just going for yours no that’s when you can look to facilitate but if you know okay offensively you’re struggling all right let me grab the ball by the horns all right let us get it together and I didn’t see that from Brunton tonight at all and when you’re the man and you’re the captain you got to do that man that’s your responsibility that’s being the man of the team so no man no no no that man was everywhere Brunson was going no he was not man come on stop it no he was not no he was not no he was not and I got one better right Nick hun GM let’s say he was there Brunson always has two or three moves with that when you’re aggressive player he has a pivot he has a fallway he has it all he has the total package he has the footwork and all that to get his he’s proven that he’s proven that against the best of the best we’ve seen what he did to Caruso we’ve seen what he does to a lot of great defensive guys what he’s done to them he he he’s never had a hard time what I’m saying is I didn’t see any aggression from him at all he wasn’t even look there were times when he had he had a a straight Lane coming off of that pick and roll he wasn’t even looking at the basket he’s looking to pass he’s looking to pass and so for me that was the frustration from him then also he’s not knocking down his free throws you know what I mean he just didn’t he he was two he was two two like he was two for three from the free throw line he was he he just he just didn’t have it tonight man and that can’t happen especially in a game like this the team needs you man that’s the whole point of him being a guy him being a top dog your team needs you period now to me like I stated they they they they didn’t shoot well at all it’s not like the Hawks they would they they shot like 43% from the field 20 something per from three right they shot like let give the stats man I’m sorry I’m going down to stats again I said it earlier they shot 65% from the free throw line they shot 29% from three 41% from the field so they play they weren’t they weren’t better like they just weren’t the problem is is the rebounding that’s it that was the ball game 58- 49 they got 22 offensive rebounds that’s the ball game that’s called hustle points so so we didn’t lose because you know they they they just wanted it more that’s why I lean into him because he’s the man of the team he’s the captain so you got to feel the gauge of where your team is at to where you say okay it’s time for me to step it up and I just and I and I and I and I just I just feel like he just he just he just didn’t have it man at all at all I Al I truly believe this team misses Dante Devan chenzo I don’t I don’t know so much Dante I would say honestly you want to you want to hear they they miss iHeart like crazy man they miss iHeart big time because with iHeart we’re not they’re not getting 22 offensive boards that’s not happening they miss ihart big time big time and he’s he’s getting busy out there with with with with with OKC so that’s who we miss big time let’s get to the highlights here man and to and to me that that to me that that that’s what gu man what’s man I told you guys listen I don’t think he’s coming back to after after the All-Star break that’s when I think he’s coming back so to me that’s where the Knicks really got hurt at man they got hurt on that glass and that’s and that’s the ball game now these refs are atrocious man and like I said I’m gon play the clip for tips man because tips said I already knew based on who the staff was what the game was going to be like tonight and I get all that that’s fine tips but this there’s got to be a point with where a foul is a foul like I mean OJ noi was getting slapped in the face they were letting that rock Deuce got tackled the dude had him in a choke hole they Let It Rock on the floor I mean you gota I mean come on man but yet with that being said Cat still have five fouls so I don’t know so I so I don’t I don’t I don’t even know like how that’s even that doesn’t even add up how does cat have five fouls in that situation but yeah you let everybody else play tackle football out there but no fouls are being called but he got five of them things and he fouled out tonight I thought he played great tonight I thought cat was tenacious 19 points 19 rebounds him and Josh Hart were the best players out there tonight block shots intimidating I thought he was great but they’re not giving him no respect man as far as getting foul at all like he he’s not getting any any whistles nothing I mean and they’re they’re hacking away at him and he just can’t he just he just can’t get get a call man at all he just can’t and that’s frustrating too to watch because I’m saying to myself okay look man look I get it he’s a big guy you know you know big men should fight through it okay cool but they are obvious obvious fouls there you know what I’m saying like obvious fouls that you have to call you just can’t let that go and I thought like a lot of things they let go and and and also too as as the refs like you gotta kind of get control of the game you know um Allan Hans said that during during know when he was doing the broadcast you know you you can’t let this game get out of hand to the point to where you know guys are getting fou and guys are getting hurt out there you letting you letting it Rock and to me I got an issue with that because you got to have some type of control man I thought I thought it kind of got it started getting out of hand with the fouls and and I saw it on both ends so you don’t know what’s a foul what’s not and that’s kind of like what gets frustrating about the game because like I told you guys before if it’s G to be a physical game Cool let it go both ways then I know what the game’s gonna be they’re not gonna call nothing but it can’t be that we’re getting hacked you’re not calling anything but you’re letting our big man get every call Capella’s F like hacking you see it right there he had to push Chase Trey Young away cuz he’s getting they grabbing them but they’re not calling nothing so to me that’s where you know that’s where like I I just I just you know couldn’t really understand exactly what that was you know what was being called and how the game is being called like I just I just couldn’t understand that and so that was the frustrating part for me about you know how the game was being called and how the game was being played and I think eventually we got to kind of say all right man look what direction is this game going in we playing football we playing basketball right that that that was a frustrating card but all in all we still should have won this game we still should have won this game the third quarter was the ball game that was it 34 to 18 we lost that and I thought that in moments like that that’s where brunson’s got to step up and he didn’t do that tonight and that and to me that hurt that hurt this team on top of the offensive rebounds the Hawks still shot almost they shot but 43% or 41% excuse me they almost had like not almost I believe they had 20 like 20 something per from from from three man so they so so they so they were terrible all together so you could say a lot of people you know what I mean that you know that you felt could have played better in a lot of aspects but to me it goes to the captain he leads the ship he runs the show and so when he’s not leading the way he should offensively you’re gonna have issues like what we saw tonight and when your team doesn’t have it you see that like just struggling you got to step it up man you got to step it up as the leader of the team and I think that that’s kind of like where to me things got things got kind of got lost he’s got he’s gotta play better man he’s got to play better he’s gotta play better allog together and I think that that’s going to be the key for us going forward it’s him it’s him I know town is the man yes we know how skilled he is yes but Brunson leades the ship and so there’s going to be nights when your role players guys like ogj anobi guys like Mel Bridges offensively are just not going to have it so that’s where when you’re the guy you’re the you know you know MVP conversation guy from last year and this is your team see guys walking around calling you cap and all this other stuff you’re my man you got to step up you can’t be out there looking like hot garbage so I think that that’s what it is but it was a tail of two halves tail of two halves because first half we were dominated then second half we just we just kind of like I don’t know like mailed it in I guess you know so once again that’s something that you know obviously we’re going to learn from but out of all the losses this one bothers me the most this one bothers me the most and not so much because of the cup because I don’t because we should have beat this team like we should have beat this team we had this game in in in the back they they they didn’t even shoot that well and so we we were we were right there to pretty much say okay let’s just take this game as win going on to Vegas for the cup cool so it just felt like in the second half they kind of mailed it in and effort wasn’t there like the offense of rebounding and stuff like that it just didn’t seem like they had it all at all so tonight was a very very frustrating game very very frustrating game let me go ahead let me go to the chat man let me see what everybody’s talking about man I appreciate everybody coming through Rock with LV live tonight tough loss with them boys Outlaw is shaking my head what type of defense was going on today Outlaw listen man look I thought the defense was good you towards towards the end of like the third quarter I mean the third quarter fourth quarter they started getting like uh like back doors and alleyoop that the game was over by then but before that I thought the I thought the defense was good look at what they shot from the field man it was just the lack of offensive rebound it right and so I think that was the problem tonight but defensively look look what the Hulk look what the hwk shot man they didn’t shoot that well from the field ni GM I Tred to tell y’all nobody wanted to listen tell us what that Sims should have played like like like what did what did you try to tell us says yo No Excuses ain’t trying to hear that absolutely no consistency on this team you know what Orlando C I agree with you man I agree with you I agree with you out loss is overh helping on defense Yeah man they gotta they gotta you know who does that a lot Josh Hart does that a lot he’s always drifting in the paint instead of watching man and ball I said this on my last show and so he gets caught a lot of times in between certain things and you guys they got to have better Communications on them switches you gotta know if someone’s coming off switch go I’ll stay with yours you know what I’m saying like that’s got to be more instead of guys and also too you gotta you got to hedge up man you I’ve never really been a big fan of of drop I’ve never been a big fan of that because I feel like when you dropping you’re leaving a guy that’s a pro with a wide open jump shot whether it’s a three or whether it’s a elbow jumper see they go to the analytics well you know analytically wise I’m not looking at analytics I’m looking at as a ball player if if if a dude is dropping off of me I’m pulling for the jumper like it’s like foul line jump shot especially if I’m coming off the pick so why would you have your big man drop in the paint to me that makes no sense I never I never agree with drop never Nick precious this and precious that our offense been horrible since Precious came back you spitting balls now just Nicks salute we need a better Wing defense a trade must be made free throws brunch and horrible game yeah listen man I I agree I don’t know if so much a wing let me say this yes you’re right we do need some Wing help coming off the bench but I also too think we need we need size we need Mitch back like like yesterday right but they said he’s not coming back to the end of February so excuse me the end of January beginning of February which I which I’m not surprised because so I’m going to basically say after the All-Star break so we we need the wing help because we got to get better on the glass man the rebound is like that that killed us tonight and that was our Forte last year and we got built we got we lost by the same thing we win by like we win by by last year but the loss of iHeart and the loss of Mitch changes the whole identity of this team Al Mel Bridges man looks like he’s lacking defense not moving his feet I thought Mel Mel Bridges was okay tonight man I thought he was okay I didn’t think he was bad honestly I didn’t I honestly I don’t think any of the guys really played back I think Brunson was the one and the reason why I say is because when guys don’t have it going that’s why you got the SE on your chest man that’s why they got you going to the all-star game that’s why they got you top 10 players in the league that’s why they got you cannot be having a stinker like this man you know what I’m saying and once again he just did not seem interested at all you know what I’m saying he just did not he was not being aggressive at all so I don’t know what’s going on with him I Jay Bron was looking bad yeah man he he he was he was looking real bad Outlaw good defense would do that to you no it won’t no it won’t not to a guy of his skill set well see this loss overshadow cat’s effort I thought cat was exceptional again tonight again tonight I mean he was dominant now that’s my frustration too with the whole cat thing because he’s getting fou a lot man like he should be on the free throw line a lot and then I give him any calls but yet he he bumped somebody a little bit they’re calling fouls on him I mean this is like insane like it just I’m just watching the game I’m like yo come on like this is like this is like insane what’s happening the cat ni H GM said they whooped us simple and plain I don’t know man if they whooped us man you know if you want to say on the glass cool but I just thought that you know and it wasn’t like they were making shots it was it’s that third quarter man that third quarter was the ball game that was it Leroy says Agreed 100% Brunson looks different this year yeah man he he just he just he just he just hasn’t he just didn’t play well man at all man at all and that’s the frustrating part about him because it’s like yo you’re too good of a player to kind of like mail in tonight and so for me that that that that’s the frustrating with Brunson that’s the frustration with Brunson tonight let’s listen to tips man let’s see what tips says man 10 and the third uh we missed some threes and then uh you know we started giving them a second and third shot and so that you know that that was a problem yeah just you know searching you know we tried Carl but it with uh prees and uh Carl then got V trouble so that shifted us his V Trouble made us you know different but you know it’s just uh you make a miss you got to put your body on someone there not enough you know time yet to really evaluate that yeah well it’s you know again you know the difference in the game is probably you know the hustle points so you know I think they shot 40 we shot you know 42 43 whatever it was but the second and third shop that was a problem yeah and and again you know I want to take a look at the film before you know I but it’s you know they’re they’re a very good offensive rebounding team you know so you know that going in I think we were plus two at the half you know and then uh the third quarter was was a problem you know and um you know they they erased the the you know the deficit they had and that went quickly and then uh you know our energy dipped and it can’t dip Miss shot party game you just got to keep fighting you can win with your defense you’re rebounding and we had a couple turnovers that were a problem as well part of it yeah part of it you know and just you know and they’re long and it was a physical game you know so that’s but you know you got to play through that and that’s that’s part of it yeah I just looked at who was refereeing I knew what it was going to be like uh I mean SPAC uh L you know all year last year the year before so you know they’re long that their whole team is long so just got to read the game yeah you know and there’s going to be you know 50 60 olds so you know some we were defended really well some not as well as they should have been and some he made tough plays but you know he’s a great player you got to guard him with your team I love what tip said I love what tip said man and and tips tips got straight to the point that’s why I played it because I wanted to he everything he had to say because listen he said look I knew what the how the game was going to be based on who was out there but well losses the game was the hustle points that’s it they wanted it more than they did that’s just the truth tonight at all and so that’s the frustrating frustrating part that I have with him is that when your team is struggling man you got to step it up you can’t just sit there and let let that happen here go ni 100 GM Dyson was right there for all that no he was not man no he was not man you’re giving this kid too much credit you’re giving this kid too much credit this this kid is not Kobe Bryant he’s not gonna lock he’s not that good man I think he’s good but he ain’t that Bruns can do what he wants it’s just that are you gonna be aggressive because your team needs you to or you goingon to chill and just be facilitated all night because you’re in your head about something that’s what it look like or C says why do we continue to shoot shots without rebounders nobody under the rim agreed we gotta get better on the glass man we got to get better on the glass we just have to Leo General says nine for 15 from the line yeah we we we we was terrible man we were terrible from the line tonight 60% man terrible terrible and 26.2 26.2 from three yeah man this this is a bad offensive night man but on both ends but on both ends well Outlaw Outlaw says and we also have a free throw problem yeah we do man we do big time Tim say says my I don’t care what nobody say tibs is never going to win a championship he only won a championship with Boston as assistant and as a head coach he don’t have what it takes his exes and O’s are terrible listen man you may be valid in what you’re saying man this is this is tip’s year this is his year this is a make or breaker thing for him I’m be honest with you because this is the best team he’s had since those Chicago Bulls teams it’s the best team he’s had and so he’s got to take full advantage of this and really take this to the next level man he has to he’s got a really really good team so he’s got to really kind of you know step it up in that aspect ni 100 J said they wore us down and took over yeah on a glass definitely definitely Big T says tip substitutions would in this game uh I think he was trying to figure things out man I think he was trying to figure things out I think trying to see who who can kind of give us a spark I think he was trying to figure that out well go says we’ll see how we look when Mitch comes back but right now we ain’t nothing serious yeah man I think we’re good but I I told but I told you guys man I told you guys like this is not the year man I think we’re going to go far I think we could Poss we make it to the to the Eastern Conference Finals but we’re still growing as a team and and and I’m gonna say and I keep on sound like a broken record brunson’s gotta take over man he can’t be yo my man he’s got he’s gotta get out of his head because you can’t win if your top dog ain’t playing like playing well when he’s out there like that can’t happen it’s a long season I get it but certain games you got to know like all right I got to step it up here right that’s what separates good teams from great teams like you’re your your your star players the guys that getting a big time money that’s how you know but I I still think we’re a big man and another Wing away from kind of really being like a legit Contender because you gotta understand guys DeAndre Hunter had 24 coming off the bench for him 24 he he’s he’s really a starter man he started for them last year but with the addition of um what’s the kid’s name uh I can’t even pronounce his name man what’s his name R shy or whatever R shy the kid they drafted and Jaylen Johnson and Dyson Daniels with the addition of those three guys that’s put him on the bench and banovich on the bench those guys are starters so they’re filling it up offensively you know what I’m saying like they had big production coming to the bench from those two guys they had 24 24 points from uh uh DeAndre Hunter bonovich added seven a conu who I love I’ve always loved him coming off the bench he had 12 points and 11 boards Off the Bench Ben he put up iHeart numbers 12 points and 11 boards that’s big time man big time you get that type of production Off the Bench man you’re gonna win most games so I thought that was huge tonight huge gravity what’s going on man appreciate you C through Rock with LV live tough loss with them boys 108 to 100 Outlaw says the reason why I say Dante Devan chenzo because the aggressiveness on defense and on top of that the threes but I definitely agree with you with iHeart yeah man now I agree I listen man I agree I agree I agree with both like I do Outlaw like I do think that losing Dante was big too because of just that that fire in his belly right because he’s like he’s like another version of Josh Hart that villain Nova crew right he’s like another version of Josh Hart so when you have both of those guys out there you have those defensive beasts and he can knock down the trade that brings a certain attitude to your team then you have a guy like iHeart that changes everything in AB Baja right so you add him on top of cat just imagine if we kept iHeart and kept Dante we got the same team but just at iHeart and Dante we’re different team we’re 15 and 10 right now I would say right now we probably will be 20 and five right now those guys add five more wins to our record Big T said Nicks always lose the teams that play physical if you want to say this year yeah but last year remember we were the bullies we were the bullies we we were the bullies on the Block last year so now we’re losing in the same way as we won last year right so you see how the you know the tables have flipped so to me that’s basically what’s what what what what what happened tonight right and then also too remember you heard tip say he said listen I already knew what type game was going to be based on the you know the refs that were out there so you got to be able to kind of play through that and I thought that moments we did but I thought also too like them giving cat those Ticky T fouls bothers me eight he’s he’s defensive guy so we could use him you know what I’m saying so you got pieces but this is where you know believe it or not you might have to lead into the tips piece to see youro tips come on man you got to play some some guys that got some that are good defensive guys maybe possibly try to get them in a rotation but see once again right this is where it goes back to the tip stuff teams are going against right they’re bench you see Dallas’s bench you see Atlanta’s bench right you see they bringing Off the Bench you see these guys DeAndre hunts is legit you see a cono right a cono is about 610 611 he’s legit double double tonight banovic he can light it up you see out there at um in Dallas right you see the dudes they got coming off the bench so that’s where the Knicks have it and campaign didn’t really have it and precious once again is kind of playing out of position he’s not a five he’s a four he could play the five but that he he he’s not because you saw him he was having a hard time with a Kongo K was getting a lot of rebounds over because he’s been bigger than than precious precious is a great help rebounder right so if he’s in there with cat or he’s in there in there with Mitch he can crash the boards you know what I’m saying so that’s the thing so you know there was nobody else with double fig rebounds man but cat cat had 19 boards Josh Hart had eight precious had five OG anobi had six Bridges had four Brun that for there was nobody else with double digit rebounds tonight you know what I’m saying and so that that to me is you know where I think that that that that’s where things hurt us gravity it’s almost like Brunson wants to step back and let cat take his role from last year with the scoring instead of both of them being beast together I thought that was the whole point yeah yeah see gravity that’s a good point I I think there’s been time where they have gone off but brunson’s got to identify moments in the game where it’s time for him to be him like he’s gotta identif that that’s why once again the game will tell you what to do so yes you facilitate yes you do those things but when you kind of see okay my team my team struggling offensively all right let me let let let me go in here and get busy let me knock down a couple of shots and let us get back in a rhythm you know what I’m saying could kind of really really grab the take the momentum back when you’re the top guy that’s what you got to do man that’s what you got to do and I think he didn’t do that today I don’t know why he didn’t do it I don’t I don’t know but what I’m saying is that that’s something he’s got to get better with Tim says exactly pressure should start and heart comes off the bench we need Wings who would you see us get after lvie go last year I like him man because he could shoot and he’s big he he could defend somewhat so I like him coming off the bench we’re not getting nobody like herb Jones and all like that those guys are too expensive we’re not getting nobody like that um you know who I also like coming off the bench if we can get him I like the kid from uh I like the kid from Philly I like Caleb Martin I like him he’s good size about 66 67 right they can defend right so I I I like I like a guy like him you know who who’s the big man I really like to he’s active who’s the big man in Indiana that backs up um that backs up uh the starter I forget the starter’s name I’m sorry who’s the big man he got hurt I think he toore his Achilles who’s it what’s it what’s his name I’m trying to remember that kid’s name active who block shots you know what I’m saying like you know something like that you need somebody like that right um of course I would love to get Dante back right that if that that if that can happen um not gonna be next year probably year after but there’s a couple of guys out there there’s a couple of guys you gotta look at you gota look at some bench units man because that’s what you’re going to need you’re going to need some guys that are that are available Off the Bench who are active you know what I mean who have size not Bruce brown or nothing like that no no no you need like like like some wings like some big guys that that that kind of get busy in that baja that’s what you’re going to need right because you need energy coming off the bench and you need size and you need length like you need that coming off the bench in the league dech is too small campaign’s too small and they struggled they struggle defensively hence you saw DeAndre Hunter take it to that baja on campaign he’s too big for him right so you know those are a couple of names that you know that I’m thinking of off the top of my head you know Jeremiah grant that kid I love him he’s too big he’s too you right now if he drops the ball with this he’s gonna have some pressure on his head man I don’t care how tight him and Lon are because lon’s gonna feel the pressure of winning because now he’s got all the pieces here man now he’s got everything here and we’re legit we’re a legit team we’re just missing a couple of pieces and so now it’s up to leonna kind of go out there and get those pieces but it’s up to tibs to do right with this man to do right with this because if he drops the ball with this man I think this could be it for tips so we got to see what happens man but listen guys listen
