you see and that is the Texas Longhorns and New Mexico State Texas off the loss to Yukon on Sunday in a game that I I’m still disgruntled because so many games were in the afternoon while the NFL was going on didn’t get to see a lot got to see the highlights of this one and Yukon beat them all right now New Mexico State comes in out of Conference USA and Texas nearly a 20o favorite total 139 Corby Craig initial thoughts here on anything including the to the total in Austin tonight for Texas yeah I haven’t been impressed by Texas this year this one of those teams where um in the in the preseason we were asked like if there was a team who you think is going to underperform underwhelm who is it I I very quickly chose Texas I I’m not sure if they should have kept Rodney Terry like I don’t know that just feels like a really easy spot to move on a guy who kind of filled in a spot um in a bad situation Texas was 18th preseason and kenpom they’re now what 39th I mean their losses are good losses you lose to Ohio State Ohio state has a ton of good guards that’s fine a loss to Yukon not the biggest deal but then I go like I I look at the games that they didn’t lose and I’m just not impressed like Syracuse 70 to 66 if you’ve watched the Syracuse team this is not a Year’s past Syracuse team that like they’re not good um NC State 6359 on 59 possessions basically means that Texas let NC State play their game uh and Texas is kind of just conformed to that they would much rather play faster than 59 possessions while Lindy State loves to be in that just run their entire offense set not impressed by the talent level um like the difference between a few of these teams like we talk about Villanova and and Jeff brought it up earlier it’s like you see that team they have the talent like it’s not shocking to see them do good I still think that they’ll struggle at times but like they have really good basketball players I look at this Texas lineup I just don’t see like guys like that I think when they have to play good teams they’re not going to be good on the other side is New Mexico State anything I think this line makes a lot of sense we’ve seen a New Mexico State team struggle a ton but I’m not buying Texas uh it’s basically what does New Mexico State want to do here I think they want to play a little slower so it would be the dog it’d be the under um I didn’t play either but I just I don’t like this Texas team and again Jeff for New Mexico state they did beat the Rival New Mexico on the weekend something to be said for that and beat them in Albuquerque thoughts on this and it is a large number for Texas to lay I I don’t care much about that I mean New Mexico is a team who played frantically random things happen in their games a lot I mean New Mexico struggled with nickolls State earlier this year um but that said good win for them congrats this is about where I would put Texas look Texas isn’t going to play well against Connecticut and groups like that but they should dominate here I don’t know how New Mexico State score I mean they’re just not a real good offense and say what you want about Texas but they are lengthy and do a nice job on the defensive end and you also look at that New Mexico game New Mexico state made 14 threes which is not a norm for them they just don’t make many threes um they’ve generally struggled in stepping up in competition particularly offensively um this probably looks like a good Get Right game for Texas off a loss uh New Mexico’s off a nice win uh I I think roster wise I get what he’s saying that said there’s a lot of talent here Tre Johnson’s a really good player uh you know I’ve seen a guy like Julian Larry Arthur Kuma good solid players there’s a bunch of good players here they just need to get some continuity which I think is is very easy and why a lot of these big teams are struggling they’re just not real comfortable playing with each other just yet you got to give them another month so yeah I I I lean Texas but no real interest I don’t want to lay these big numbers right now chat’s going on and on that I’ve got like Texas orange on Chad how do you know this is not Virginia Tech alternate orange with the maroon yeah I wasn’t going to say TJ but you also have the top button button which is a that’s a that’s a hard I did go top I did go top button button today I did go a little Swank I respect it gotta change it up every once in a while you know Jeff and I went with the I texted Jeff this morning and said where you’re black we we got a match on the show Orange uh Campbell is people were saying what about New Mexico State team total under that was also being asked Corby anything on that on on uh against them no I like the dog I like the under so it would be a Texas team total under for me okay interesting but nothing official on New Mexico State Aggies not to be confused with Texas A&M agies and Texas this is Seven Central Time in the new Moody Center second year
