I don’t know about you guys but I love when Sports gets personal and the last week has been nothing but personal for Yankees fans because we saw Juan stto leave to the cross town rival the Mets and in response the owner of the Yankees house Stein rener has gone full dad mode what do I mean by that his dad George was an absolute madman anytime he felt like he got slided or lost out he went bananas in the market the next year how he’s pivoting and the streets are saying he’s not even close to being done how is going full George or full Michael Phelps you guys remember this meme back in the day where Phelps had to lock in by just being a Madman that’s what this whole last week of how has reminded me of also later in the video we have the first official leak of a Kyle Tucker trade offer and was officially introduced by the Mets he put on his 22 metch Jersey and everything seemed to be going fine until he started answering questions and he basically admitted that that he hasn’t spoken to any Yankees members since the World Series he just hasn’t talked to them a lot of Yankees fans are saying see that’s what I’m talking about he doesn’t care about loyalty all he cared about was the bag and then this picture was tweeted out and that’s when things really hit the fan so Juan stto he’s taking his pictures his introductory pictures he’s in the second level or something like that putting his hands up and kind of arching back and we all know when you Arch Back your tummy’s going to stick out a little bit but because that picture was posted yeah Yankee social media and really just social media in general had a field day I even saw a tweet from someone saying that Juan stto was on the Josh Naylor offseason regiment and diet like come on guys I know I said I like when things get personal but that’s a little too far I’ve also seen that Juan stto is going to be a 35-year-old DH in 5 years well how can that be a thing if he’s 26 years old well people are just now assuming he’s not 26 years old just because he left their team but yeah back to that team I just wanted to go ahead and talk about Juan soda getting fat shamed because that was not on my offse bingo card let’s talk about the next pivot from how Stein brener and the Yankees after losing Wan sto so they have officially traded for Devin Williams they call him the air bender because his change up literally bends air it doesn’t make sense it’s that good the Yankees get Devin Williams and the Brewers they are getting Nester Cortez nasty Nester and a minor Leaguer by the name of Caleb Durban who everyone says might be the next Jose Altuve because he’s a short King he’s 5’6 because I have my Yankees hat on we’ll talk about Devin Williams first so he’s 30 years old and a soon toe free agent keep that in mind he will be a free agent after this upcoming season but last year he was absolutely mythical he had a 1.25 ear R and A 15.8 strikeouts per nine that’s bananas and then Pete Alonzo happened and it kind of ruined his entire season just like Emanuel CLA say he was legendary and then fumbled the bag in the playoffs it just kind of taints the entire season just like Aaron judge when he stunk it up it just takes away from how good they were in the regular season but I mean he is the cream of the crap when it comes to relief pitchers in the game of baseball his stats are so good that they almost don’t even make sense they’re like Road to the Show numbers he has a 1.7 ER since 2020 and if you take a look at his last 222 Innings pitched he has 361 strikeouts so at this point the biggest questions are what do they do with Devon moving forward do they give him an extension or maybe they look to marianao weiva going forward that is just code name for Luke Weaver Luke Weaver still has a lot of gas left in the tank he got exposed a little bit in the Cleveland series before locking back in against the Dodgers he pitched five innings in the World Series only allowed one single base hit no earn runs even if they don’t extend Devin Williams this is a fantastic move in response to the Mets getting Juan soda the Red Sox getting Garrett crochet the Yankees said all right we’re going to go get Max freed and then we’re going to trade for Deon Williams and by the way the streets are saying they’re not even close to being done this is what happens when you piss off a steinbrener this is what used to happen in the 90s okay this is bad now real quick I do want to talk about the Devon replacement before we talk about the trade pieces going back to the Brewers 6’8 monster flamethrower Trevor McGill is most likely going to be the Devin Williams replacement going forward before Devon came back from injury last year Migel had 20 plus saves he had a 2.7 ER and again he’s an absolute monster he’s 6’8 but honestly when I see him out there he looks like he’s 8 fo2 so I wanted to talk about that real quick Trevor Migel have him on your fantasy wish list because he’s going to get a ton of Ops I don’t know why I said opportunity is like that I’ve never said that in my life anyways moving on Nester Cortez nasty Nester the guy who lost game one of the World Series he turned 30 years old 3 days ago and this is an early Christmas gift SL late birthday gift from the Yankees he’s not on the squad anymore and by the way this is his fourth Big League team people forget that he was drafted by the Yankees he was then picked by the Orioles in the rule five draft he was then DF by the Orioles brought back to the Yankees he was traded to the Mariners for $30,000 in international money then he was outrighted by the Mariners and obviously he went back to the Yankees and that’s where he broke out he had a 2.6 erra and a 9 and 1 half strikeouts per nine his first 250 Innings back in pinch Stripes then 2023 happened it was in large part because not only did he regress in terms of stuff but that stuff regressed because of some injury and health concerns he was then demoted to the bullpen in 2024 Bren against Freddy Freeman gave up that grand slam so honestly his tenure with the Yankees ends very unceremoniously I think I said that right one more thing about Nester just like Devon Williams he will be a free agent after this upcoming season so essentially the only person who could stay past 2025 is the young Min leager Caleb dervan and when I say young he’s still kind of an old rookie so really it could be just a one-year rental for a one-year rental with Caleb deran staying past 2025 now staying with Caleb he’ll be 25 years old when the season starts that’s why I kind of say he’s an older is rookie he just won the Arizona fall league MVP after hitting 312 with five home runs and check this out he had 29 stolen bases in 24 games he was averaging over a stolen base per game and he set the Arizona fall lead record with four stolen bases in one game that’s never been done before the cherry on top he also had 17 walks to six strikeouts and 93 at bats that is cartoonish stuff Jose Altuve that’s the comp because Jose Altuve he’s 56 Caleb deran he’s 56 with stolen base capabilities with some pop in that bat for his minor leag career he has a 290 batting average with an 870 Ops I shouldn’t say minor league career this was last year in triaa Caleb is never going to be a 30 home run guy like Altuve at least to me unless he develops that pop and puts on some muscle in the big leagues he’s going to be a double threat he’s going to take his walks his b to ball skills are insane he’s going to steal his bases play some pretty good defense and in my opinion he’s probably going to be the third baseman going forward because after the Brewers lost Willie adamus someone’s got to play shortstop that’s Joey Ortiz you have Bryce tering who is a near Platinum Glover at second base did he win Platinum glove I can’t remember but because Joey’s going to be Manning shorts stop at least in my opinion I think that Caleb Durban is going to be a fantastic third baseman he is a little bit short so I don’t exactly know how that will play at the Hot Corner because when you’re taller you can get to those hot shots that are behind your shoulder a little bit easier 56 is pretty short for a third basan I’m not going to lie so yeah that’s the Devin Williams Airbender trade in a nutshell the Juan stto pivot has been pretty dang impressive if you ask me you get Max freed and Devon Williams in the span of a few days and the rumors are that Hal isn’t even close to being done I’m impressed and last but not least we’ll get you guys out of here after this short story I promise you guys so the first leaked trade offer for Kyle Tucker has officially been announced and again it’s a leaked offer take it with the grain of salt but the Phillies offered two guys Alec bom and Nick ctios in exchange for Kyle Tucker and rightly so the Astros they rejected it now a lot of people are saying rightly so what do you mean Alec bom and Nick costos they’re pretty good offensively and they’re not free agents until 2027 or 2028 something like that for the next two seasons they would be on the Astros well the Astros flat out did not like bom’s defense that was it and that’s even with Alec bom taking some strides defensively in 2024 he he wasn’t Elite by any means but he wasn’t a trash can like he was before so yeah after rejecting the Phillies offer do you think that a ky Tucker trade to the Yankees after getting a Devon Williams is more likely because how is just a Madman right now what do you make of all this mess also let me know about Juan sto being fat
