man oh man week 15 studs and sucks what a wild week we’re going to recap that the latest Fantasy Football news and notes and also some projections for 2025 we’re going to talk MVP talk dude this is the episode to listen to buckle up if you’re on your commute wherever you are This Is It smash it tap it slap it welcome to show Jim what’s happening man hey there counselor uh well I just a very disappointing weekend for my teams I’m very uh I’m I’m unhappy the only player that really came through for me this weekend was Lamar Jackson right everyone else just kind of was mid to blah so it was not a good weekend and and uh in My Friends League we let my my my the best man at my wedding best man his kid who is a freshman in college this year we let him into our league we’re like hey come on in you could be our 12th player in this league come on in this guy just beat me last night this this rookie fantasy football rookie just beat my ass yesterday really bad and so I’m not feeling great about that he got 16 rounds maybe just that’s where he’s probably listening to more counselor less Maverick who knows all right guys if you’re new to Chanel smash it tap it slap it we’re talking about again all the studs and sucks here the highs and lows what a I mean the NFL week 15 highlights what a week man it’s been wild I was I watched a lot of the um the uh yeah the Lions and the Bills game that was an exciting one I thought the Lions would have put up more fight but what a crazy decision where’s let’s get right to the latest news and notes Here going hit the thumbs up if you’re new here where’s breaking Brad we now have breaking news I really want to talk about this because I don’t know if you saw that they had 12 minutes left right they’re down by 10 the lions are they just scored a touchdown they came down looked like Champs I don’t know if you saw the game but 12 minutes left Ed Campbell goes hey let’s just do an onside kick Matt Holland grabs the ball good field position not only does he get good field position he runs it back almost pretty much for a touchdown then Allen plugs it in he throws it for a touchdown whatever but man I mean you’re you got tons of time in the game you’re down 12 onside kick and they come back and score points easily that was just a stupid play man I don’t know if you saw that well you know I I mean that that’s what Campbell does though he rolls the dice and sometimes it goes his way and I’ve seen several times where it has not gone his way and you know they’re playing catchup uh they’re trying to the problem was was that Josh Allen kept scoring touchdowns and they’re like okay we got to keep the ball out of his hands so we can score another touchdown I can see the logic as to why they would do it’s a high it’s a risk it’s a Gamble and they gambled and they lost right that that happens when you’re gambling like that so much time left I’ve never seen that before you had so much time left you’re only down two scores believe in your defense play it properly I mean I I’m a risk taker too and I think that was just a stupid play yeah I just I don’t know if you could rely on your defense when the defense allowed 48 points yesterday that is that is very very true um all right let’s other news here Pat Mahomes ankle injury looks like he was done for the season the way that he folded like a cheap launcher you can see his body like ah like all get mangled up he’s CED off did you ever watch that quarterbacks show from two seasons ago when when Mahomes was one of the guys and they showed like his workout and what he does and he does all this all this contortionist exercise to like get his body used to moving in weird directions and stuff like specifically his training is part of that and so I think that’s I think that’s part of the reason why he’s still able to stay upright and was able to walk off that field you know is because he does that but um yeah yeah it was scary it was scary when it happened train hard fight easy so he is dayto day apparently there’s question marks whether he’s going to play on the 21st versus the Texans uh you know I would say maybe preserve I mean you got a decent record you guys are in for the playoffs you know try to preserve him you know down the stretch here but he said he was probably almost ready to go that game so I think he’s going to play he’s going to move on he’s a trooper so that was that so dayto day for Pat Mahomes also uh Gino Smith there was an injury there nobody really cares about Goins Smith as much but I know it’s sad to say but he’s just not not the caliber of Mahomes or I don’t know I’m not really you’re not even a Goins Smith fan but he he’s got a knee injury uh we’ll have Imaging done today according to head coach Mike McDonald said the knee is structurally seems okay so Gino Smith having some issues Gino Smith Jim not a big concern for Fantasy Mike Williams a couple things Mike Williams had one reception on two Targets for 15 yards against Philadelphia just a couple notes here Ray Davis uh carried seven times for 15 yards and caught both of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown so Ray Davis now getting more integrated in that Buffalo offense I mean there could be some upside here for Ray Davis maybe for next fantasy season you never know good maybe I mean maybe yeah oh wait there’s some more injuries here we got Wadd got injured during the game ended up with a zero Burger again that that dude I I did take him in one of my leagues and he’s basically been been on my bench the whole season but he was really good for like the past three weeks so I’m like I’m going to throw him in today he should be good this should be a game where he can get some work zero Burger I’m like what the hell man it was just not my weekend that just very uh very frustrating yeah um a couple other things here real quick again nothing important uh I know people were curious about Zack shern he rushed eight times for 54 yards and a touchdown not bad and caught one of his four targets for 12 yards in week 15 against Green Bay couple notes Here uh you know I saw Romeo dobs make an amazing catch I don’t know if you saw that uh he hauled well he made three receptions two of them were touchdowns you can’t you still can’t start him man you can’t start them it’s so inconsistent with that offense here man completely inconsistent I you can’t trust any receiver on Green Bay I mean really for Fantasy purposes I think they all just need to be kind of off the list best ball go ahead and draft him but but you can’t take him for managed leagues man it’s just uh it’s too much of a dice roll yeah all right so let’s get right to it guys start with the quarterbacks here again if you’re new to the Channel smash it tap it hit the thumbs up really helps the channel let’s get right to the studs and sucks at each position here so as you can see here man Josh Allen my quarterback my fantasy quarterback I guy told you to Anchor your team with 41.3 points let’s just honor some of these guys that did had a good week Jared gof in that same game both these guys had swiss cheese type defenses I mean or it’s it’s weird because when you have these type of situations you wonder is the offense that good or is the defense that bad or is it a combination of both I don’t know I think the offenses are just really good I I would say they’re just that good you know and the defense is just some like what what can you do right right yeah I mean it’s um I mean it’s th th that kind of a game is such a fantastic game for Fantasy I mean really it’s just the kind of game that you dream about and uh so uh kudos to both those guys for having great games absolutely ab and then my my guy Lamar Jackson third overall five passing touchdowns uh you know there’s a real debate right now counselor Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson for MVP what do you think wow Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson for MVP I’m gonna lean again I’m gonna because Lamar had it last year he’s had the glory I’m just gonna go with Josh Allen simply for a couple reasons one he’s my fantasy quarterback maybe there’s a little bias there but number two he beat the Lions and he beat him convincingly he’s been consistent the past week like extremely consistent on a high level consistent like breaking records type consistent and uh I just don’t know if they’ve got enough to beat the Chiefs I just hope they do I don’t know Chiefs with the refs you know the refs get involved sometimes whether you believe in that or not I don’t know 12 player yeah it’s like it’s just a great story like if the NFL wants to profit they’re goingon to give the Chiefs the threee because you’ve got the the Swift narrative you’ve got Kelsey I’m just thinking it from a business perspective Buffalo’s good and Josh Allen’s kind of a face as well but I don’t know I I guess if you make him MVP it’s a good story as well but I still see see the Chiefs beating these guys uh but I’m going to give it to Josh Allen you know I’m going off on a tangent here but I would I would definitely go Josh Allen what do you think Lamar Allen uh you know I gotta say J Josh has been playing other worldly the past few weeks I mean I mean he’s been playing good all season but otherw worldly uh that I mean again the best performance ever by an NFL quarterback last week and he follows it up with another 41o performance this week I mean just just staggering how good and how important he is as part of that offense um and yeah Lamar Jackson has been quality just just just just perfect right I mean I just can’t I can’t ask for anything better out of Lamar Jackson this year um and and they both beat quality teams so I think you know I I would lean Josh Allen because it has been bigger what he’s been doing lately has been bigger than what Lamar has been doing but uh they’re both just just so excellent just so out of the stratosphere as far as all the quarterback um competition in this in the league these two are the top two so all right now now that we’re done glazing those guys let’s get to some oh my God all right so by the way jayen Herz honorable mention Aaron Aaron roders and Baker Mayfield all good good weeks but guys that suck I mean like CJ strout I mean 11.6 points what H this is a guy that was highly touted highly promoted the off season even I believed in CJ stro having a good season just because the offensive weapons were set for this guy he looked so good last year and now this year not good I mean 19th this week 11.6 fantasy points two touchdowns zero interceptions I don’t know man I just what a suck this year I don’t know I don’t yeah really really a huge disappointment and I’m not sure what’s going on there I you know um his his connection with his wide receiver uh one is fantastic um but yeah he has horribly underperformed what I would what I expected him to be you know um to to the same extent love is the same thing and and it’s just I think it just goes to show you that really in fantasy you want a rushing quarterback the rushing quarterback gives you such an edge and gives you that extra that that higher floor that you’re GNA get um that’s why you need to take those guys you know I mean two was another one who had just a total crap game yesterday um and and and ended up with what 6.8 points or something like that just uh uh 27th overall yeah Tua I see it right here so I’m going to go over to the other guy I made notes Here I made some big time notes Here listen to this Gino Smith 4.5 points Wilson 8.4 Stafford eight points Tua 3.8 CJ 11 points Richardson like what’s going on Anthony Richardson I told you that guy would bust man Anthony Richardson another guy top five quarterback in fantasy I said do not draft this guy I know he’s been hurt I I get that but still Anthony rich and this year this week what he finish like qb25 this week that’s not good I don’t think he was that low was he he got 15 points okay I mean he got a rushing touchdown so that that really uh that really correct let me stand corrected 15th this week and I think he’s qb25 on the season let me just double check that I think I made that that’s what I meant to say yeah QB 25 on the season 143 point1 fantasy points his touchdown interception ratio seven touch Downs to 11 interceptions that sucks that that’s on the season but 15th this past week for week 15 not good that that it’s not it’s not great it’s certainly not something anybody that took Anthony Richardson probably didn’t even make the playoffs so it’s almost a moot point but uh yeah you know I mean again I talk about those rushing quarterbacks and yet Anthony Richardson really hasn’t done it not at all man I don’t know um moving on to let’s let’s move on let’s move on week I mean I don’t know I’m not a big James Conor fan you know me I thought Benson would had good year he didn’t uh but Connor getting it done this week jir Gibbs Taj Spears again like I was high on Spears for Value but Pard got the starting job but look at that as soon as parul’s out Spears does something 27.2 points he had a receiving and a rushing touchdown now mind you only what do you have 1.2 yards per carry he got it done more in the receptions what seven targets six receptions 87 yards and those two touchdowns but I mean four attempts five yards 1.2 yards per care that’s not good but it’s about opportunity though as soon as like Pard out right gets hurt you know he steps up so I don’t know does that mean he’s really good not necessarily maybe who knows yeah I don’t think he is a I mean Pard also didn’t Pard also got at least one touchdown I’m Prett yeah then he then he left the game I think he had touchdown yep right right but uh yeah you know I mean this one thing I mean I know we were we were both pretty big on Tai going into the season but I think we really need to pay attention to the fact that when there is a regime change when the new head coach and a new uh yeah general manager comes in uh the people that were drafted by the old regime yeah are typically put to the curb you know they’re they’re they’re mostly just tossed off to the curve was they bring in their guys and we really saw that this year with Pard clearly being the one ahead of Tai by a by a long distance and we knew it was like suspect because when they when they brought po I’m like these are two guys with similar skill sets they G play together it was weird but I think you know that’s definitely something that we need to pay attention to when there is a regime change and there’s like a guy that we’re like this guy’s gonna make the next step this year it might not happen because that might not be they might not gel with the new with the new coach and and it’s frustrating because there’s egos there and then my ego like cuz I look at it from my logic and perspective that this guy was drafted to replace Henry he was behind Henry he he knew the offense and parul that year sucked he absolutely sucked so it’s like why would Spears lose his job to some bottom feeder and Pard and they just ran Pard because the new new offense or the coaches are like Hey we’re gonna run our guy that’s our guy that’s egos right that’s what it is you’re not we’re running the guy we brought in we paid him a lot so we’re going to work them good point there uh so let’s go through here again a couple other guys good James Cook uh Chase Brown Josh Jacobs Roman for justice Hill Ty Johnson believe it or not had a good game uh but the guys that sucked here I want to make a couple notes Here uh saquan Barkley only 9.4 points Tony Paul we said we got hurt 8.5 David Montgomery 7.5 I know a lot of people started him isaia Pacho 5.7 points for Pacho Tyrone Tracy I I’m not a Tyrone Tracy owner but I know a lot of people start him and I know he’s been doing good lately 4.5 points and dude I really single Terry single Terry did better than him I hate single got the Gold Line yes yes I when I saw that like I just hate single T I have a hate I hate hard on for single ter I don’t like him I don’t think he’s good I think he sucked when he was in Buffalo and then he was a fake rb1 this year people believed him I’m like don’t draft single Terry imagine Tyrone Tracy owners when fantasy playoffs come along he has 4.5 points this is embarrassing this sucks this is this this should make you hate single tear even more that’s disgusting disgusting after like Tyrone Tracy has been consistent like I look at his games like if you look at the past couple games wasn’t he wasn’t he pretty solid what was what was his game log I got to tell uh 19.3 points the week before 14.5 the week before that nine and then 15 7 and 23 so he had a couple dud games but not to this level his worst game was week 12 with nine points and then again 14.5 and then 19.3 like I said and then then down to 4.5 I mean this is his worst game since like week four he had 3.1 he had not scored a 4.5 game since week four like part of the problem also was just the fact that he stuck on a terrible team with a terrible offense and it was they were getting blown out doesn’t matter this is fantasy so you move away you move away from the running backs in that sort of situation my my nomination for suck of the week has got to be Jonathan Taylor so out on him I don’t know if you saw that but he he BR out this huge run huge run it was like 5050 yards running down the field running away from everybody he drops the ball right before he crosses the end zone and it’s a turnover he sucks I can’t I can’t believe it man I mean that that is that is I saw that happen twice yesterday once one time with a u a defensive player that was going in for a pick six and he dropped the ball before he went into the endzone but then Jonathan Taylor did a little bit later on but I’m just like come on man you can’t do that not when you do something like that man that’s crazy absolutely should be ashamed of himself ashame Shame Shame Jonathan Tay that was disgusting especially I don’t I don’t have him in fantasy but dude I’d be pissed if I if that happened I would lose it I don’t have them uh again Naji Harris Honorable Men for suck P we talked about five points and then javante 4.3 but nothing’s expected out of him at all all right let’s move on here Jim let’s go to the uh let me get let me get a cute up here the wide receivers I gotta get to my screen here uh who are the wide receivers well I’m pulling it up here give me a second here tech let’s let’s do a shout out to the old guys uh Devonte Adams and Mike Evans were the two top players oh I see it on yours it’s Aman ra but uh um amra Evans and then Brian Thomas Jr had a tough match up versus position 32.5 points awesome stuff My Guy Brian Thomas Devonte I’m so excited for Brian Thomas next year man yeah he’s good I’ll take him as high as he goes man I I want him on my team that dude is amazing and this with a backup quarterback too I mean he’s playing as well with a backup so he’s really really good Smith CD lamb Terry mclen AJ Brown Malik Rashad baby and all honorable now the guys that suck here Dell 6.1 we go through here these are all the bottom guys here Jaden Reed finished 30th 11.1 Pitman has sucked all year don’t draft him again 9.8 points I’m seeing Ridley uh nine points as well yeah Ridley’s another guy I don’t think I can draft him anymore I don’t think I can do it never uh Josh down 6.2 tank D 6.1 and then this is a big a couple disappointments here uh big names here we’re talking DK metf never drafting him again 5.8 Tyreek kill 5.6 and Marvin Harrison Jr 5.2 and then Debo Samuel 4.9 like these are Big names to finish like imagine Tyreek Hill a first round pick finishing 58th into your fantasy playoffs that listen to this like this is crazy let me let me go over this Jim this is crazy you draft Tyreek Hill in the first round this is crazy and if in your fantasy playoffs finish 58th amongst wide receivers Marvin Harrison you draft him in the second round finished 59th amongst wide receivers and this is excluding the Monday games if 59th with what 5.2 points Debo samel a third round pick 4.9 fantasy points Jim this is depressing if you drafted these guys flat out depressing hey hey I I speak from experience I had I played Tyreek yesterday yeah yeah super depressing Cooper zero points for Cooper cup Z zero Goose EG Goose EG for Wadd yeah I mean there was like uh yeah just uh horrendous and I’m still in on Harrison he looks good out there when he’s playing uh he almost got a touchdown yeah I saw you know I saw that yeah so it you know like that close and um you know I’m mean I’m in on him for next year I think he’s gonna be great uh but uh yeah I mean it’s it’s just uh for him he’s a rookie cut of a break but these other guys yeah you you got you gotta play better than this I mean this just unacceptable all right let’s get to the uh tight ends here I’ll filter by tight ends here and again I I always sound like a broken record when I talk about tight ends but I really my expectations remember that old um there was an old show I think it was Mad TV or In Living Color they’ have a segment and it was like a dating show with these with these not so attractive people I’m like lower expectations remember that remember that yes show so that’s how I they I wish we could get that song here when I when I queue up the quarterback I really have don’t any any expectations out of quarter uh tight ends but J know Smith bounceback uh Breton strange Sam laap pora Trey McBride Josh Wy like from Tennessee Foster like like who are these guys who don’t know Doctor Strange is playing football now well I mean Evan Ingram is on IR right so Breton strange is the tight end so okay that makes sense um Trey McBride is one I’ve heard he hasn’t made a touchdown this year he hasn’t gotten a touchdown this year and he’s had like I don’t know 87 receptions or something like that crazy that guy’s a reversion candidate for next season I think he’s going to get a lot more touchdowns next year I don’t know and look at this okay imagine this here’s another scenario that’s crazy look where Kelsey is he’s 18th okay now again he had he was a better value this year in fantasy but imagine you’re drafting this year and it’s August and you’re like yeah I’m drafting Travis Kelce I’m getting him a bargain because we said that he’s a bargain I think he was like a third round he dropped out of that yeah and then you’re in the fantasy playoffs never would you have picture that Noah gray would outperform Travis Kel senior fantasy football playoffs but that’s exactly what happened that’s fantasy for you that’s messed up dude that’s yeah no great didn’t didn’t um only had two receptions but he got a touchdown that’s why he did better still still why wasn’t that touchdown to Kelsey come on yeah like I don’t know this is what I’m talking about fantasyy is’s just wild and you know this is and I almost feel like because of the all these props sites and all that stuff it almost feels like they’re kind of tinkering with with this with this committee approach man it’s like I don’t I’m not seeing clear-cut ones anymore like even guys like AJ Brown and Jefferson and all these guys and chase other guys are really dipping into their volume on a high level in many games where the wide receiver one just doesn’t become relevant anymore in that particular game and that screws you up that week right I wouldn’t say that about Jamar Chase he’s fantastic this year blown everybody away as far as uh wide receivers go but um yeah I mean yeah I mean it’s just like a bunch a bunch of these names you’re like you never would have started them chiga cono Foster Maro Josh Wy who would have started these guys I I mean no one um you know so uh but but you know we know that the tight end position is extremely volatile it’s extremely low volume there’s not a lot of volume there most of the guys are getting I mean if I sort by targets here uh five players did get 10 or more targets but you got a ton with six five four targets and and and you know they get that touchdown and hey they’re in the top 12 you know it’s it’s that kind of a thing so um but uh yeah geeez wow man Wild Wild West here and again the sucks of the week I take ownership on this Ferguson just sucked K aen sucked Four Points a piece pretty much these guys some big names Hunter Henry 6.5 points and then Kelsey we talked about 6.7 cancade 9.3 not bad gaseki 6.7 so some well-known names in the tight end industry just not didn’t do anything you know just didn’t do anything right and John who’s taken all the volume away from Tyreek yeah yeah isn’t that wild dude I mean that that’s the reason why Tyreek hasn’t been doing much much man jinu Smith nine receptions 11 targets um yeah it’s embarrassing it’s bad I I don’t even know but that that’s a great connection there though I mean jnu Smith obviously has a clear-cut very good connection with Tua that’s good for next season that’s good to know he’s probably gonna go very high in next year’s draft so yeah absolutely so that’s it guys make sure you guys
