on a Monday night out of the Big 12 at 27 total 148 in this game Jeff Nao give me some initial thoughts here again it’s a lighter card but this a Big 12 team at home large line like we frequently talked about in the first few weeks of this show what do we make of of the number and anything else from this game well the number’s High obviously um but but I think we need to remember a lot of people have thoughts of these teams from like a few years ago and that’s not what they are this is a totally different or Roberts team from the one that we remember from a couple years ago this team is Dreadful like real bad um in their three wins only one has come against a division one opponent that was a close win against lowly Northern Arizona this team has gotten their teeth caved in regularly Mississippi beat him by 32 uh and and that was the only real tough game they’ve had this season they they’ve anytime they stepped up gotten destroyed um they’re just not good they’re a disaster on defense uh you kind of just do whatever you want against them um I’m actually going to do one here I I I’ve been kind of tiptoeing around but I like this first half here I’m going to play Texas Tech in the first half uh if I can get a number I’m going to guess it’s around 16ish um this should be a good spot for Texas Tech they’re off a loss uh they played eight days ago lost to A&M arriv Ral essentially in the state of Texas uh it was a neutral sight game it was a good game they played well uh they just it was a close second loss I think they bounced back here early or Roberts as I said is a complete C on defense they really don’t do much of anything well offensively either and one thing I’ve talked about you you can really understand how bad a team is on offense when they shoot a bunch of Threes but they don’t make any that is RO Roberts lot of quick possessions run outs I think Texas Tech Cruz is here early I think they’re up big you know 452 or something at the half I think they locked down on defense and I think this offense gets going in a big way I think they beat up or Roberts early I’m going to lay the 16 and A2 a live play on the first half bet Us number of 16 and A2 on Texas Tech for Jeff Nao right here on the show all right Corby Craig I know you were very interested in this game as well as he mentioned they’ve been off for a week um the uh Red Raiders but they are at home he just laid out why Oral Roberts is bad what are your thoughts Corby yeah the question here for Tech I really don’t think it’s a question in these low of level games but JT toppen might be out he’s been dayto day um in the interview like three days ago coach said he’s a true day today um what I see is a guy who had a springed ankle on December what 1st December 2nd it’s now December 16th if you’ve played with a spring ankle two weeks is it’s pretty much that spot where like you’re you’re fine to play get up to speed uh it makes sense to get up to speed here and Saturday get conditioning back ready for conference play with UCF uh at home next Tuesday so I I would assume that he plays at least a little bit this number kind of Screams that he’s playing to me even if he doesn’t I don’t I’m not really worried about it a few things first off U Roberts is 3 50th in the nation in average height this is a tiny team who as Jeff said loves to shoot the three um they’re they’re they’re not good at shooting the three and what that’s going to do is give Tech who is a severely efficient offense the ability to get more shots up versus these these crappy schools we’ve seen Tech play a few this year 65% in every single game basically from two versus bethan cookman Northwestern State Wyoming who’s actually a pretty decent team Arkansas Pine Bluff they don’t slow down we see 98 96 94 886 they’re not slowing down they continue to do what they do think they get good shots that’s what you need in these high numbers in these games that look like they’re going to be blow out make sure the team’s not going to give up make sure the team’s going to take good shots you you really don’t want a three-point shooting team here you want a Texas Tech who’s going to crash the boards they’re going to get up 10 fast Force Oral Roberts into tough shots foral Roberts is missing like we saw Colgate this game isn’t going to be close they’ll probably go 140 141 foral Roberts can hit any shots I think this is in the mid 150 is pretty easy so I took the over 148 feel pretty good there all right interesting I’m looking besides top in they have what Daren Williams for Texas Tech averaging 16 a game chance McMillan Why do I know that name forgive me I got a lot of stuff rattling around in my brain McMillan is averaging 16 a game so they have other Firepower even if
