[Music] we are still very early into this off season and the Guardians have already made a big splash they traded Andre simz to the Tano Blue Jays in return for Spencer Horwitz and an outfield Prospect named Nick Mitchell and then not even 2 hours later they traded Spencer Horwitz to the pirates for two pitching prospects along with Luis Ortiz who in my opinion is a very solid back end of the rotation guy with a ton of upside and potential whether you want to admit it or not the guardian’s front office continues to cook and over the past 10 years they have given us no reason to have doubt I know they have not ultimately been able to win a World Series yet but the current state of the MLB really makes it nearly impossible for small markets to compete but Cleveland really has been in contention with the big dogs for most of the last decade and logistically this trade makes sense because as much as I love Jimenez really outside of being the best second baseman in the league his Bat disappeared in the playoffs and I really believe in Travis bizana and I think this trade clears a path for him and gives everyone a clear direction of what their role is within the team I think this is going to be one of those trades that hurts at first and causes a lot of overreactions but then it pays off in the long run and I’m going to talk about why but first cue the intro if you want everything C ahead Mitchell look out or want to keep up with everything going on with the guards on the diamond swung on hit High deep to right center field this ball is gone or you want to see what’s going on in the dog pound the BRS are going to the playoffs the postseason is back in Cleveland the land HQ is your number one spot for everything Cleveland sport so before we even begin I want to give a little bit of info about this channel so I’ve been trying to get this thing going for quite some time now and it’s finally happening I’m Spencer Premiere if you recognize me from my main Channel and this channel is going to be a collaboration of me and the Cleveland Menace if you know him from Instagram hey what’s up guys guys this is clev Menace Spencer and I are going to be running this channel together I’ll be doing future videos Spencer is going to take this one today I’m really looking forward to it content is going to be insane it’s going to be non-stop so I’ll see you guys soon so there was an immediate negative reaction to Andre SZ being traded away to Toronto JZ is a platinum Glover a fan favorite and was one of the core parts of the team and middle infield the negative reaction is very understandable but I think Cleveland fans need to do something they typically struggle with look past the negatives and onto the positives yeah the cool player that you loved leaving your team sucks but the Guardians in my opinion are really going to improve from this trade jenez even with that flashy glove of his has been a consistent liability at the plate especially in the postseason like I said he’s had his moments I’ll give him that he’s had some Legendary home runs he hit the walk-off to clinch the postseason but when he went cold boy did he go cold and that is why I thought it made sense to clear the path for Travis bazana cuz I don’t think people truly realize how talented this kid it is I mean just watching some of his college highlights for 2 minutes will make your jaw drop obviously in the MLB it takes a while for players to develop and get to where they need to be but if this trade made one thing clear it’s that the organization views bazana as the future like I said it’s going to hurt for a bit he really was a key player and with that big contract so many people thought that he was going to be around for a while but every offseason we get reminded that the MLB is ultimately a business and I thought for the Dolan to be able to get off his huge contract at least in Cleveland’s term because we don’t spend money I thought it was huge to clear that path for the future while bringing in more pitching prospects because what everyone fails to realize and acknowledge is that the Guardians have been so successful with bringing in pitching I mean they built the best bullpen in baseball with Carl Willis so bringing in three pitchers it’s obvious that two of them will turn out to be studs it’s just the averages and I’m really just thinking that this trade is going to help the young players so much mentally foko knowing that his spot is secure and he can just play baseball I think that is going to go a long way and we really got to see his potential in the playoffs I mean he had some boneheaded mistakes in the field but we got to remember how young he is and at the plate nothing really phased him he was super locked in he literally had a better postseason than Jose so I was just super impressed and as much as I hated on him at times during the season I think it’s safe to say that he is the shortstop of the future and I really hope that the front office can lock in on him and bazana up the middle I am a little tired of how players coming go every 2 years it’s worked but I really just want two guys that can be the face of the franchise and don’t have to worry about being traded let’s actually talk about the main man the Guardians acquired Luis Ortiz Ortiz is going to be a fantastic addition to the Cleveland pitching staff he has only been a major league starter for 3 months in his three years as a professional player moving from being a reliever role in the Pirates organization to his starting role in July in those 3 months as a starter he posted a solid 3.32 erra in his first Major League start he went five and 2/3 Innings and only allowed one hit he does have some Lowes and his fast B is by far his strong suit but Carl Willis the Guardians renowned pitching coach can turn him into an absolute monster the Guardians organization and coaching staff are the best in the business and Ortiz can definitely thrive in the winning culture of Cleveland as I mentioned the guards also added two other arms in the trade lefties Josh hardle and Michael Kennedy both are prospects and will take some time to develop but the Guardians organization really does have an incredible track record in developing young players especially young pitchers look at sabrowski and Walters for example they came out of nowhere in mid August and made their debuts flesh forward a couple months and they’re carving the Yankees up in the playoffs the main piece added is Luis Ortiz but I would be shocked if one of the other two don’t end up at the corner of carnan and Ontario one day given the guardian successful track record of developing pitching that I mentioned earlier anyways moving on now let’s talk about some of the other trade rumors that I’ve seen swirling around over the last few weeks so the first guy who has been in a lot of rumors is Josh nailer I have mixed feelings about this personally he’s one of my favorite guys on the team and always has been I think at times he can be the heart and soul of Guardian baseball but realistically with no bias sometimes when he slumps he literally will swing at anything and it can be so frustrating and he has almost aten himself out of the market I know it’s crazy to say and he is one of the most dedicated guys on the team but he’s almost getting too big and at the pace he’s going he’s going to start losing athleticism I know he’s a great player but I would not be mad at all if the Guardians go the Kyle manzardo route I think he just has so much potential and he does so much more than just hit home runs I’ve seen some other rumors swirling around too I’ve seen Gabriel arus that makes sense I’ve seen Hunter gtis I’ve seen Lane Thomas I honestly have no idea why gtis would be traded but again whatever happens the guardian’s front office has given us no reason to be skeptical about their moves and at the end of the day the guards just have a really solid core and Foundation the team being built around Jose and Quan automatically sets this team up to be a contender to win the Central and I think getting rid of the hendes money is setting up the Quan extension even though we do still have time before that needs to happen but I would prefer sooner rather than later but having this core and then what’s going to be a newly revamped starting rotation come summer this is going to be another season to remember and I just can’t wait for it and with the recent news that we all found out about a few days ago that wano is leaving the American League I really think the door is open for the Guardians to get back to the fall classic obviously I don’t want to speak too soon but there has never been a better opportunity I’m definitely curious to hear what you guys have to say about this trade so let me know in the comments below and I’m really excited about the future of this Channel please be sure to like And subscribe if you enjoyed this video and let us know what you would like to see next because we’re going to be making content about all three Cleveland teams and so much more and until next time I will see you all later
