[Music] well the third time’s a charm for the Mt nors defeating the Vegas golden knights for the first time this season extending their win streak to five games also their home win streak to five games as they are victorious in eight of their last nine contests now Saturday afternoon’s result was powered by a four-goal second period before the visitors slowly chipped away at that Oilers lead before Jeff Skinner sealed it 98 seconds into the final frame for a 63 final yeah yeah obviously that was tough one to give up in the in the start of the third there but um nice to get one back right away kind of settle things down and uh from there out I thought we uh we managed the game really well and uh that’s what it’s going to come down to here and and that the rest of the year you you got to be able to defend leads and um obviously we might have not wanted to to concede those two in the end of the second but um that’ll happen and it was nice nice to see that we we kind of locked it down after that and it was a victory by committee for the Oilers as 12 different players found the point column including Connor Brown who had a goal and an assist as his son was in the crowd for the first time watching dad play yeah it was fun obviously it’s uh yeah it’s nice to nice to score one in front of him obviously it’s just uh it’s a something I kind of is pretty surreal and always something I always dreamed about so uh it was pretty special day for us and when Brown was asked about the turning point of the season I think it’s been a slow build honestly I don’t think that there’s uh you know it’s tough to point to any specific play play or game I think it’s been a slow build and uh yeah I think our Puck play has been really really good and um you know there’s just a level of um intensity but also Poise with the puck and so uh you know I think that’s uh when we have a good combination of that we’re pretty deadly these guys are hungry hungry to be better every day and obviously hungry for the ultimate goal but um you’re not going to reach that ultimate goal or have the opportunity to reach it if you’re not getting better every day and I think these guys come with a great mentality every single day whether it’s practice games video meetings um attention to details and wanting to get better so from our um coaches standpoint we’ve been very happy with this group and postgame noblock said that steuart Skinner was the best player on the ice turning is at 38 of 41 Vegas Shots he’s now 82 and one in his last 11 starts as Skinner and the Oilers look forward to a rematch the Stanley Cup Final rematch right here at Rogers Place that goes on Monday night when they host the Florida Panthers fors TV I’m Tony br
