of the last place team in the NHL take a look at this tweet made by arur staple the Rangers have lost to the 32nd Place team in the NHL twice in 8 days and they were two different teams they lost to Chicago they lost to Nashville they’re not scoring any goals for me I streamed mik aanad panan krider and will on my various fantasy teams this week and I was very disappointed with everybody not named I mean no panan was out so maybe it’s not really all too cohesive to say that but still the Rangers have been bad their top guys have not been scoring this team is imploding in on itself they won the President’s Trophy last year and now the Rangers are let’s go to the NHL standings and sort by League points percentage the New York Rangers are down there in the halfway markish just underneath halfway in the league in points percentage in terms of overall points they’re 23rd in the league they’re at exactly 500 31 points 31 games played they also I don’t know if we said this already they were the president’s Trophy winners last year they were the top team in the league did I mention they had the most points in the League last year did I mention they were that good and now they are bad what the hell happened to this team well there have been a few things that have happened behind the scenes that we’re going to be talking about in this video and to help us out we’re regardless so you can go ahead and check it out if you want but let’s go out there and dive into some of the updates that have been discussed with the Rangers in this piece the Rangers one season not to discuss Peter laviolet as far as I can tell the relationship with laviolet is fine between him and the players so there’s a lot of chatter about him potentially getting fired I don’t get the impression that they think he’s either the problem or their main problem like if they do think he’s a problem he’s not the main problem their main gripe in this player’s only meeting was Chris Drury I get the impression these guys want to be Rangers and the reason they’re so upset and not necessarily being like trade me right now is that they just want Drury to either change his ways or be gone and that of course is a really damning thing not only that it’s like okay the players are involved and they’re talking they’re forming some sort of a rebellion whatever like what is this a Cuda but fact that Steve dangle of all people is the one reporting this is a pretty interesting way for this entire story to come out here I mean last time Steve dangle broke something obviously no disrespect to Steve he’s got his sources he’s got people that he trusts and he’s got connections to the hockey world but I think a lot of people would remember the last time Steve broke something it was that weird 3v3 League that ended up never existing later on anyways this situation is also something that I think we need to talk about because in response to the apparent players only meeting where in the players discussed their frustrations about the GM we had her soles this update from spit and chicklets Paul Binet did very little to doue the flames on the most recent spit and chicklets podcast the commentator mentioned owner James Dolan might reconsider one Monumental move there’s a rumored sit down between James Dolan and former Ranger sha Avery that could be in the works in New York about talking about sha Avery becoming the next Rangers GM I’m also hearing Rumblings that ay is going over to New York City to talk about the state of the Rangers there’s a crazy element to James Dolan that might get rid of Drury and hire Avery as the next GM of the team now I’m pretty sure y’all are familiar with sha freaking Avery if you’ve seen any top five funniest moments in hockey video you’ve probably seen that video clip of sha Avery waving his stick around in Martin brador’s face screening him and then eventually scoring a goal Avery was a natural crap disturber and he was one of the best at that job throughout the 2000s and into the 2010s Sean Avery certainly had himself a reputation and as we have discussed he’s also an actor he was in tenant he was in Oppenheimer Sean Avery has a very strange connection to the media world not only in his NHL on Ice Antics but also in terms of what he does on the big screen not to mention the committed social media presence that Avery has right now too where he is posting video clips about what he’s seeing with the Rangers he does this quite often where he will break down a play he’ll talk about what the Rangers are doing wrong etc etc and he always does so in typical sha Avery style using a lot of cuss words and really calling people out with very high vulgarity it’s not necessarily the most familyfriendly thing in the world but I think for a lot of hockey fans who are around the game they understand the discourse that these players and former players like to use when they’re in their personal time of course he’s not going to say that stuff on TV but on his own personal Twitter yeah okay you can do whatever he wants Rangers fans are in a really interesting spot because I don’t necessarily know if many fans are saying oh yeah our next GM should be Shawn Avery and at the same time I don’t know if many fans are actually saying that it’s the GM’s fault because you can say so many things about not just the way the team has been constructed but how the team is playing honestly some of the strategies the Rangers have been employing their aggression on the for Trek has been costing them goals against they’ve been bleeding Rush chances for opposite teams and this is not looking any better if if you replace the GM with sha Avery at the end of the day the coaching staff still needs to find a different way to allow this team to prosper they’ve got to inspire hope in their guys a lot of these players were pretty good last year but they’re not showing up at all this year and is it a GM change that’s going to
