tournament started on the fourth and our last day is tomorrow who will be Crown champion but right now the break is the key we’re looking at two of the balls behind the one ball the four and the nine potting 100% accuracy and then he lost 94 and 95 it just goes to show how this game can change players but right now Amir he’s missed a combination an eight ball but he managed to win that frame but unfortunately the eight staying in the pocket didn’t allow him to win that frame they 32 so how can him here maintain his concentration at the table to make sure he doesn’t miss any more of those balls we’re going to have to wait and see but he’s such a good player it won’t phase him we just get on with the next game so The Nine’s gone the Free’s made its way the two we nearly parted the two to somehow well yeah he’s going to be disappointed for that shot yeah he’s he’s not happy but um the game does that to you I’m afraid sometimes it could put your opponent off if you’re so they’re both experienced and I’m sure they fight for it they don’t want to carry on sometimes and give up but these two players such good athletes in the game they’ve been here before that’s a very good shot and if anything this is given strength to air it does does it does two things with if if you have your opponent a little bit upset it gives you strength or it makes you come down if your game is identical to both players missing pts and it makes you play bad and then reverse to making pots and you make pots but air is such a class aete Supreme condition in respects to winning as we talked about his one of the top player in the region if not the best at the moment uh so let’s see what happens in this game and we talk about the bat in the region I’ve known Ali for over five years now maybe coming into six and sevens but his achievement of well he’s achieved in the pool career it’s incredible he is a national team member he is Arab nine ball Champion six gold medals Arab eight ball 10 ball six gold medals Western Asian eight ball and T ball two medals and many more tournaments so how have you ever played Yeah we actually played uh last year West Asia nine ball final together uh he beat me 11 to8 and uh again this year uh I won the nine ball division he won the 10 ball division uh so he’s just uh I can’t say any B things about him like he’s like I I to me he’s like the uh the best player in the region at the moment um he plays very efficient all the time um not too many weaknesses to be honest now the break here from Costa for me is way too high over to you uh well to me like tball uh I prefer a little bit harder break so you can uh make the the the balls in the corners like the the for Raiders cuz if you break too soft uh they might not go but I mean if you break harder you have more chances of making balls on The Brak uh it might be uh more difficult to control the Q Ball but as a whole I think it’s better to break a little bit harder as we see Costa here he’s put in incredible performance to get from stage one to where we are it’s incredible yeah he’s I mean I I played with him actually a few times here in Qatar he plays very nice the stroke is like very smooth very fluent and uh he had a few good wins actually he uh played with uh Conrad jushan from uh Holland yesterday who uh is one of the top players in the world actually so uh that was a good win hill hill and um this match is far from being over actually if he can manage to finish this rack uh we could have a uh nice game another and what do you feel about Amir Ali’s strengths in his game well to me I mean he does everything like so efficiently um that things he might just need to um improve might be his jumping ability and breaks otherwise in every Department he does really well like safety is moving game and uh shot making of course uh but overall he’s such a decent player absolutely he’s only missed two balls in this stage of today the top 16 it was a combination onto the six but but to be fair it was a little bit difficult however he did miss a formality 8 or for his ability and Costa missed allall which is very unexpected well you know at this point of the competition it’s uh common to miss some shots here and there I mean it’s the pressure it’s just a big moment so you can’t be too upset about like a few misses here and there but overall like uh he plays like super efficient and very simple which is what you need need at this point of the competition now we talked just now about the 16 players and I have the results so far in the games I’ll just show you here because people can’t get the score and thank you very much for uh somebody putting on the scoreboards for for everybody to look at what about Alban ocean he’s brought it back there yeah that’s a close game Alin ocean and Jeffrey DeLuna 65 uh Danielle m over rosan chakov that’s uh 104 to Daniel that’s a little bit of a surprise I thought there would be a close match cuz rosan play um breaks really well and Jeffrey just made it 66 uh Arnell and Jos that’s that’s a big surprise to me because uh hos is such a solid player uh as do Arnold but I mean I thought it would be a closer match now it’s 95 uh Chang junin and Muhammad Sufi 87 uh Sean Mark the Filipino versus Mario H 85 to Mario and Ian versus Luc Min 652 Ian who is a Filipino who resides in uh uh Emirate actually and it just goes to show seea how well you’ve played you you achieved an incredible performance to get where you got to you lost to Jeffrey yesterday yes but how did you feel about the tournament the tour I haven’t played played too many pool lately I’ve been mostly playing hball but uh I didn’t expect too much coming to this because I just didn’t have the time to uh to practice and you know put the time for the break to practice but uh it’s been a great tournament anytime I come together I just enjoy it the setup is amazing so I mean I’m just happy with the result for now now we’re watching Ali break here he does tend to make the wing ball go in the threee to the corner the two to the corner and makes a ball in the middle so this is how he does it full power into the break to me I feel like um I know we deep in the tournament but I see him break like almost every match and I think he’s still trying to adjust and figure out the break because now he’s uh breaking a little bit harder compared to the beginning of the tournament and I mean that’s a great result um if he manages to uh get on the three after the two the rest is a formality and how important is this Frame to go 8 four up with a possibility of running the table I mean 84 compared to 75 I mean from uh 84 you just need to make pretty much like two of your breaks and you have a chance to finish the match but if it’s becomes 75 then it’s uh it’s going to be too close to car well we can almost see a result coming through ladies and gentlemen Daniel is on 10 frames to four and that would be a very difficult situation to win seven in a row against an incredible player so a result will come through very shortly but in the meantime Jeffrey as you just pointed out is on six and Alban ocean is on six what a match that is well here probably Amir wants to just float the CQ ball in the middle of the T table somewhere and uh the rest is pretty much just a few stop shots yeah just like that beauti beautiful beautiful how now you’ve been on the TV table how did you find the table uh well usually TV table has like the best condition compared to the other tables cuz um it’s played on as a little play on at a little bit less compared to the outside tables the light are better uh the humidity is lower because not too many people around it so it’s it’s nice to place on it play on it actually you put in a great performance and congratulations to your achievement in this tournament and this tournament is going to get bigger and better as we go along for next year yeah hopefully it’s it’s going to be exciting to come to Qatar every year with like all these big events and it’s a pleasure because uh for us it’s close to home so just a little bit easier for us compared to a lot of other players now there is another tournament straight after this one is the Asian championships are you playing in that one yes yes yes uh can’t wait to actually start uh I think it starts in in a couple days so we have uh one or two days to practice but uh excited to start and it just goes to show the standard of this match now a lot of viewers who’s been watching this event over for the last few days I’m not surprised Amir Ali is in the top 16 he’s done a great achievement the viewers who haven’t met him is he’s not a World Tour player what an achievement it is to get to this stage yeah honestly for me it’s actually not a surprise I was talking to the guys last night and for me top two guys to actually win this tournament for me one is uh Amir and the other one uh might be like Alex kazakis but um I mean he definitely has it in him to win this tournament he plays so simple he gets the job done he just needs to stick with it and just don’t get too excited too quickly and I think he can do it for sure and that’s a secret not to get too excited now this ail he’s taking his time he has a stop clock 40 seconds a shot he has an extension as well well I think he’s fine it I mean it shows how mature he is because as he’s taking his time he doesn’t want to rush it he just needs to uh stun it in maybe uh cball hits the cushion comes back a few inches and is perfect for the 10 so this for 84 can he make this eight and hold for the 10 and it shows that he knows it’s such an important shot even though it’s simple but it’s like super important to make it and just hold it for the 10 for 84 very well played very well executed on that 10 ball to make it 84 and Posta make a comeback going to have to wait and see Zena do you feel we could uh it honestly it depends if he can get a few break runs going then for sure if not uh at 84 down if your break doesn’t work and you don’t do too many break runs it’s just going to be a grind match and uh it’s just going to be very difficult but he needs to somehow find a break and uh manage to string a couple of bre runs and hope for Amir to make a few mistakes too absolutely and Amir has made only one human error to be fair by missing one ball so it’s going to be very very difficult for Costa and when we looked at the match yesterday Cena when Amir beat John MOA yes that was incredible 92 yeah I watched a little bit I mean uh I’m really capitalized on like every mistake John Mora did and uh good I’m so glad and I’m so happy for him that we have such a great player in the region who can you know defend the whole region pretty much as we see the seven disappear but the QQ ball is I well the one difficult shot is but the positive thing at least he made the ball on the break and he has control he can do a safety stop the uh call the one in the corner actually uh try to make it off the three and uh hold the Q ball behind the two if it goes in he has an Open Table he can make the two in the corner if not he has a guarantee of a safety too but uh we don’t see the full angle it might the angle might not be there but that could be the shot and there was some upsets in this tournament only to watch Joshua filler the WPA rank number one lose in the second round and the third round and that was a great surprise to see Josh lose such a great player on day one that was a great surprise and he lost to another player from the region uh Muhammad Liber Jai from Lebanon from Lebanon which is I mean it’s great to see I mean that’s why uh it’s so good to have this tournaments in like Qatar because a lot of players who you usually don’t see uh traveling worldwide they can come and show their skill and uh for the world to see like there are great players here and uh it’s not uh uh it’s not the only the European players or us players or like Filipinos who can just compete as we see the white disappear the frustration for p Costa can only look on as a 94 is a possibility and it’s nice to have the knowledge of somebody with me T I tend to be on my own on many of times but it’s always nice to have you here you yeah it’s not a it’s not an easy job for you to do it like all day but but you you definitely have the knowledge to and uh but it’s it’s good to have some help I’m sure and the most important thing is see where are you traveling next well lately I’ve been mostly traveling to China and my next tournament uh is also in China for the aall grand Masters in a couple months so uh we’ll see what happens and you’ve enjoyed this tournament and of course we just mentioned it you’re here for the Asian championships as well that’ll be a great performance if you get a result there inall as long as the break work the rest could be easy but uh getting the breakdown is not always the easy sorry for interrupting you do you see Costa leaning back there is that psychological sorry for interrupting was that the psychological mental barrier you go through well he knew I mean uh especially with Amy R he is such an efficient player uh giving him ball in hand was the only thing pretty much he didn’t want to do and he knows like uh this is this rack is almost guaranteed to be over uh so it should be 94 soon and from 9:4 to turn around I mean it it’s very difficult and Costa knows that so this game is starting to slip away from Costa he knows he had a chance but the reality is the psychological game is creeping in how do you deal with the psychological side of the game when you’re losing well you just need to keep calm I mean just stick to the cliches really just breathe keep calm and just uh wait for your chances to come and when they do come you need to finish it’s just going to shoot this soft uh yeah yeah clever move the 10 uh move the eight ball sorry um now it’s actually a little bit tricky cuz um he either has to stun the five to uh bring it to the side rail on the right or just uh he can also draw it with bottom left with two cushions but uh let’s see what he does maybe I think he’s going top right to bring it to the left side of the table that’s actually a good choice yes the speed of the cloth yeah that that’s why it was tricky for me he should have just uh float the Q ball past the eight so he had more angle to just make the five and bring the CU ball down of the table now because you play in big tournaments and this is the highest prize money in the world for 10 B tournament 100,000 for the winner it is lifechanging and how would that affected your life with a 100,000 in the bank well it definitely gives you some guarantee and you know peace of mind and uh most importantly confidence uh to say the least for the upcoming events but the money is always nice but uh for me if I win it it’s like mostly for me the trophy would mean a lot more than the money actually wow the title of becoming crowned Champion out of 128 that was a great safety H it WPA ranking list what are you ranked at the moment Cena at your rankings with a few points have you gone up in the rankings or I haven’t looked actually but the last time I looked looked uh a couple months ago I was around like the 50th in the world but I haven’t played too many events actually um lately I’ve been playing hayball so I can’t travel too much for the pool events which do you prefer the ha ball or the pool uh for me ha ball is a no-brainer because it’s just uh the lock involves very less and then and you have to be very precise which is uh which is what I prefer actually yes so but pool is always exciting but the excitement is mostly for the fans for the players is just pressure a lot of the times and we when we talk about ha congratulations to guar Sports Federation for having two events in the year it’s the Asian championships and it’s the Asian open where they had 64 players representing in the countries and it’s great to see you in that one as well yeah thank you very much yeah Qatar is doing a lot for the region they’re hosting snooker event events H ball events pool events and pretty soon I think they’re going to have carry him and everything that’s incredible game but as we watch now Amir is starting his strength in his matches what I’ve seen him do is called ey of the lion he doesn’t give in he takes away this match with so much strength he doesn’t look at the scoreboard he just keeps getting stronger and stronger as we watch this formality 9 H for the 10 to take a 94 lead and go into the quarterfinals very shortly can he make it this needs three more racks after this 10 disappears and the strength here yeah he has he has such a uh calm character and one thing that I’ve uh paid attention to uh his game he just doesn’t care uh if he plays a world champion or his opponent has a big name he just does what he knows he can do best and he just gets oned and I think that helps him a lot uh he plays simple he doesn’t try to be a showman or just do fancy stuff and uh that’s actually what you want in like big events yes exactly the lion is roaring here in the top six team and we are all of us are witnessing great performance of air and Costa come back just going to have to wait to see at this point Costa just needs to hope for Amiri to make mistake otherwise I mean the Gap is uh so much that it’s like very hard to come back unless Amir starts to uh maybe miss a few or just make make some mistakes but we have definitely seen uh things happening like uh comebacks of this nature but uh we’ll just have to wait and see and that’s very kind of you and uh my special guest in the in the commentary Booth is Cena who is a professional pool player travels the world as we watch the cual kiss as I said these are the mistakes Costa need to capitalize on yes the lion is hungry and he will be well fed with the prized money is incredible now the difference in the prize money from winning this match is it 2,000 uh I believe the players in top 16 get uh 5,000 and uh the next round so whoever wins will get eight guaranteed $8,000 so the difference is at least $3,000 yeah that’s what I meant but then we are starting to get in the absolute beautiful side of prize money the runner up will receive $40,000 us yeah which is a lot of money a bit of a difference between 40,000 and 100,000 that’s 60,000 difference yeah that’s 60,000 more reasons to be in pressure so so here Costa probably wants to uh either stun the Q ball one rail or follow it with two rails and just uh bring it in the middle of the table I think there’s a result um there was a big round of applause so I think Daniel has won 116 not 100% sure or yeah oh there’s some big results coming in Jeffrey and Alber ocean seven a piece oh got great news here for Muhammad fans he’s 108 up on Chang yeah I’m sure when Muhammad uh finishes we’re going to hear big clubs yeah it’s going to be incredible and he is an incredible player as well so is the Middle East catching up with the rest of the world oh yeah 100% in the past uh I would say like two three years the Middle East players have uh gained a lot of confidence which is like very important but before I think that’s what uh most players in the region uh lacked was like uh the exposure and the confidence to play with the top players but with recent events in the region uh it’s showing like uh how important it is to host uh the these big events and invite the top players to come to your region so everybody can show their skill and just not be scared of big competitions and that’s so important when because a lot of people can’t a lot of players for instance Amir even though he’s 9 full op he can’t travel the world yes and and and he is showing when players come to his home countries around in the Middle East he has put it on the best performance and this is why he has that title as the greatest Middle East player yes 100% I mean I know him personally and uh I would think if he could actually travel the world he could uh probably by now have a big title in his name but uh it’s just uh you need the experience of playing big events and if uh you don’t travel it’s just going to be tough to achieve and we’re talking about titles how big is this title to have the highest paid in tournament for temple history what would that mean to the pool world that a gentleman from the Middle East has won it what message does that send to the rest of the world uh it’s going to be huge to have this event in the region and especially if a player from the region wins it it’s just going to be amazing for all of us so I hope one of the guys Amir Ali or Muhammad can actually do it and you know keep the prize in the region well he’s on the H Hill Muhammad is on the hill and Chang is for the first time in the tournament trailed because he went through incredible perform and all of a sudden Muhammad is on 10 and Chang is on eight one required and we have got a Rizo 117 win for Daniel so congratulations to him and Jeffrey versus Alin looks like a very close match Jeffrey is up 87 now uh one thing I would like to say about Muhammad sorry Ali Amir Ali he’s got thousands and thousands of followers yeah yeah I mean he he’s a very he’s actually a very likable guy I mean oh he’s amazing yeah yeah I mean you you talk to him for two seconds you know how he just has a lovely uh personality so it’s just hard to not love him and he’s a good guy uh very calm great player I mean that’s what you want to see in a champion and this is how he greets me he does that raw with his hand he goes he does that his English isn’t too good but when he sees me he does the roar isn’t that what a lion would do so he has a lovely T-shirt oh yeah always always whoever does his T-shirt is incredible so if you get a chance oh somebody’s just won and I’ve got a feeling it has to be Muhammad yeah Muhammad Muhammad’s won I got a feeling and Chang won 116 we thought it was Muhammad but it’s still 10 so Amir really just needs to make sure he goes uh through the track and just uh win this track and just make it uh much more difficult for Costa to come back and there was oh look at this look at all the fans there for this match this will this will get packed very shortly as the game goes down the biggest crowd we had was when Alex Pion lost his match on the TV table Yeah well Alex is a lovely character everybody loves to see him so I wouldn’t be surprised to uh have like the biggest fan uh for his match actually yeah and Alex didn’t and it was bit of a weird match to be fair when he lost but uh he’s such a character as we watch Amir Ali here take the seven hold for the eight frees for the nine and the 10 for the hill can he make it just have to wait and see but right now he has put in a lion performance yeah that’s what he does best he puts himself like with his CU ball control he he puts himself in like very good situations all the time that he doesn’t have to work for it that much and um if if you’re trying to get to this deep of the tournament you need to do that all the time just make it as easy as possible for yourself you see now the formality nine he hasn’t missed he’s only missed one ball and this is unmissable because he knows that this is to go to the hill so another round of applause it’s all happening in the answer is not sure well he uh it’s it’s not too bad actually he can cut the one in go uh two or possibly three three rails and I like your hand signals the viewers can’t see it only you can see it I can avoid it like a sword like your sword there right so uh two or three rails to bring the c bar close to where the one is and from there um two to three a little tricky but the good thing is uh if he makes if he makes the three and get to the four the rest is formality so big results are coming in and the Middle East have got two players in the quarterfinals let’s see the draw is there who think he can uh manage to finish the rack so this could be the shot of the match draw back for the four out for the five cuz you take the five possibly in the middle would you go for the middle well depends on the angle he get for the four but uh if he has to for sure you never need to force the angles if that the angle you get that’s what you need to work with wasn’t that a fantastic shot he just doesn’t want it to be straight and I think he has a little bit angle to maybe go two rails or actually just make it and give himself a tougher shot on the five but make sure the four is in would
