the attention to detail you know the the consistency within a performance which I’ve spoken about endlessly was on show today you know to keep doing all the ugly stuff the hard yards the hard work and work as a team to make sure that we looked after ourselves and uh and I thought we did that very well today how satisfying was it to see that resilience me last time away from home was old tra is very different story could have been I don’t think we were miles off Old Trafford obviously people people said that you know I was mad saying that but you can’t legislate for three complete errors it’s very difficult to legislate from that I don’t think during the Open Play there was that much wrong defensively U but back to the day the the commitment from the players the teamship of the players was certainly on the show and you know you’ve even got wide players who it’s not natural to them to do that you know Illy working super hard in front of Mo who was excellent and Young on that side with Jack working hard you know we know Jack’s got quality and he didn’t quite find their moments but he’s worked so diligently yes we on doing the same shift you know this is this is good habits from a team a group of players and we’re getting players back the feeling in the camp is strong again and we’ve got to keep doing that of course um at six clean sheets not easy in the Premier League and even when Arsenal did have chances you got to yeah I mean I haven’t seen all the the the saves but the one to the left early in the second that looks a big save to me I haven’t seen the other ones I think he’d probably think he should make the other ones but that one’s a big save I think um great reaction save he’s got a lot of people in front of him that working very hard today I think and I’m sure he respects that and just on this with a knee injury is that a new injury no it’s a fla the one previous year so we hopefully it settles down again um quickly um we’ll have to wait and see this week and just on on this moment obiously liol game was called off but much was made of the Dawn in DEC you had a billiant start to it well like I said I wasn’t being flipping about it I’ve been in it long enough in the Premier League you got to play everyone and and there will be another manager asked about it you know I was asked I said pppa be looking at his run and then people someh thought I was putting myself in his category I wasn’t I was just merely saying as a manager he’ll still be looking his run they’ll be looking you know all the Press will be going all they got a tricky one coming up that’s the way it is you know his football management he in the Premier League arguably the best league in the world so you’re going to have spells when it’s awkward and it’s tough It’s how you deal with it and we’ve certainly dealt with one today really well I think by the attitude towards it doesn’t guante to the next one but we had to take this on with the right Frame of Mind Body Language intend and desire and we certainly did that sh se you have to sacrifice sorry you have to sacrifice the attacking out you need for yeah you often do at grounds like this you know it’s like I said at the beginning it’s very unlikely that you’re going to come and dominate the ball and it’s very unlikely statistically you’re going to dominate the chances and so therefore you’ve got to do all the the Tactical side really really well he’s can operate different ways this year the Prest from the set pieces not only that General play you know you’ve got to deal with that and and I thought the players did gave a great um performance Daye in that respect you know working hard without the ball it’s still a skill it’s not it’s not something that’s just a given you know the the Tactical ideas of the team the way that the coaches have worked this week diligently to make sure everyone knows their jobs but then inevitably it comes down to the delivery and they delivered it very very well today could have been so much different St yeah he delays on it I mean it’s a great break away we only found two or three really good quality moments when we when we got into the right area we know that’s been a challenge an ongoing challenge if he strikes it earlier you never know but not going to be too greedy today it’s hard to come to these places and and deliver both ends of the pitch you know defensively strong and in attack we certainly got the defensive side and the Tactical side right today there’s one over here as I sure you a lot longer the managers usually get to prepare for a game for this one was there anything particular identified about Arsenal that you thought you could get no I mean you know we known him under this manager a few seasons obviously the Tactical sorry the the setpiece thing there’s been a lot of noise about that we know you got to be diligent to that um but no I think we look our side you know we look look at what we can do of course we make the players aware of of the opposition but often it’s our delivery of performance so I’m pleased with that you know and we simplified it for the players We Didn’t Start Over egging loads and loads of detail the basics you know the shape of the side the the pressing shape to recover and then and then move as a unit and I thought it sounds really simple it’s nothing when you’re out there and you got a team trying to pick that to bits but I thought their diligence today was excellent so sure mention the pie it’s a big issue at this point it’s an unusual thing for Arsenal they’ve been vulnerable set pieces in the past did you’ve got big Center halfes and and some big LS in team did you go through themit by a bit or was it no no no the staff do that I don’t do it I made it clear um um W and Stony my my assistants if you like they do it with the analytics team they do a really good job um they certainly make players aware of different things they were very their star 11 today was Miles bigger than ours physically it was a big star 11 that you know which AR can make match cuz they got lots of good players of course in a deep Squad um but yeah I was pleased with that side of things defensively um the whole thing really defensively Jordan made a couple of saves one big one but you think down here you’re probably going to have a keeper who make saves so yeah I mean it was just the diligence from the staff but mainly from the players you know lots of staffs are diligent you know all over the country we all have analytics although it makes a story that this new manager got all these things everyone’s got all these things the players deserve credit cuz when they get out there they’ve got to deliver on the knowledge that they’ve been given On Any Given um Saturday and today we delivered that really well and St you set be specialist no they’re not set Specialists and all that I’m not you know theyve had thousands of games in um in what they do they both got all the licenses I would expect they certainly know how to sort us that piece out I would imagine um as I do myself but I leave it to them you play Arsenal you know a lot of T come down that right side not many teams get the g s Qui what you think was a key to that yeah again the diligence of the players um we we we show heat Maps like everyone does about what difference attacking units you know and where we have to make sure that we’re working hard um Duke was I thought was exceptional today with his work I think for the team I thought the three in Midfield were actually the way they worked um manga as well putting a shift and obviously um Gana with his understanding you know he’s wild all fox g who knows the descript he’s played at lots of different clubs and you know had real experience but yeah we we didn’t just look at that area I said for the game I was talking about s pie I said they still got you know some fantastic players and they can change it well and they can change things tactically in different ways of playing and different formats and they’ve showed that even more so this year with the strength in set pieces so you know I’m pleased for the players and and the way that we went about it um but it wasn’t just one thing you know there’s lots of different things they can at you in other ways but the way that we formatted it I was really pleased with that as a staff but the players delivery is the the biggest credit any further questions no okay thanks everyone [Music] everyone think it should have been penalty I haven’t seen it um so I cannot comment on that overall how do you feel about the game the first half had some you know made some decent chances and one very good one early in the second but then it kind of ped out struggle how do you feel about your attacking out today well what I feel very disappointing not to win the game because obviously if there is a team that deserves to win there is only one which is Arsenal we did nothing we give nothing away no shots ConEd dominated direct play don’t allow them to run no set pieces High Press excellent we have to track about excellent we got them there we generated the chances but the last 20 mes was missing to score gos which is what you have to do with all the dominance because we have never been able able to to dominate it that way but um at the end you have to try to generate the highest winning probability with and don’t that now that you draw the game you want more even if we win it we always want more but I cannot ask much more to the boys apart from pulling the ball in the net yes can you talk us through the substitutions because it’s not often you take off well with Dean I had to take him out because he was feeling something and with Martin it was a a tactical decision to try to change their Rhythm especially on on that side it wasn’t a fitness isue no were the players aware at half time of the Liverpool score in the fact that they were they were well I don’t know I wasn’t so I don’t know and um having seen the Liverpool score now does it feel like even more of a a disappointment to drop point serious I’m very disappointed because when when when you do what we’ve done today against them you have to win the game you know but at the end this is footb is the hardest thing those last 20 25 mes to do what we have to do credit to them as well how they block shots to pick for the save that he’s made the way they Des how they desire that they defend with but um honestly it’s difficult to ask something else um to the to the team okay individually can we do things a little bit better and deliver more quality and deliver the magic moment in that case that is necessary yes but that’s something that is not easy are those magic moments coachable or is it that’s difficult what kind of thing can you do to create at the end you need the spark and you need to be precise I mean we had the chances this could have been 2 3 n um and nobody’s talking about it reality 0 and they’re not going to talk about all the incredible things that the team did in in the game I mean certainly is not energy when I see my team track back is unbelievable every 3 days 70 m all the team is going there uh so very difficult to ask them something else because they want it yeah and there were a few moments in the second half when you seem to be demanding more from PL behind you you didn’t seem particularly Happy from what we could see what was going on no what it is is that we have to manage uh the frustration and the time because if know we start to speed up the game but there is no room to speed it up and we start to Rush the game and um and we need to understand that know we start to force to make mistakes and and and to lose the grab of the game and and we have to stay very far away from the game fans need to understand that too and not express it is that what you mean no no well I canot ask the fans to understand I’m telling you what my feeling is jords okay just ontical but maybe some people are surprised taking off the main crator you feel like the lack of chances the last 20 30 minutes in hindsight could you have kept him on I understand if Ethan comes in he scores the goal he a great up if he doesn’t you have taking your captain out that’s football Sol standard um just what was Martin’s reactions coming off was he okay with sorry what was Martin’s reaction coming off well the same reaction as Martinelli everybody I’m sure that they want to continue to play the 0 minutes but that’s why we have the offs to try to help the team just on Deck is there any idea what the issue exactly is and how bad it no he’s been with a little nle for the last week or so and um and he asked to be soed in in that moment so we have to we have to do Phil three consecutive games where you haven’t scored from open play in the Premier League how much of a concern is that in the Premier League yeah but it is we scor three on from open play three days ago so but you worry if that continues it might impact obviously how you get on in there it won’t continue with the score goals if we we have the chances like we have done today again I’m sure we will score the problem is that if we don’t okay finally we’re got to question for be uh with mil with mil L SC starting today what are your plans on developing a talent like him giving chances and if he keeps grabbing them like the way he’s done today again because I think he was really good he will continue to have chances because he he deserves them okay bro thanks very much yeah thank you
