this is UNCC Asheville hosting North Florida tonight Asheville laying three points in this matchup with a total of 158 a half Jeff NAU isolated something about this game I’m curious as to what it is as it kicks off the show I don’t play many overs I don’t play many total anymore that’s more corby’s thing but I zeroed in on this total and I thought why is this total not more than 160 I’m not sure what these oddsmakers have watched I mean these teams played back on H November 18th 8975 and to make that even Wilder I mean we know North Florida shoot a bunch of Threes they only made 33% of their threes they still scored 75 points only got to the free throw line eight times there were only 25 total free throw attempts in the game and the score was still 8975 every game North Florida plays is up and down and wild TJ I mean they’re just wildly frantic uh 9391 8977 10372 with the amount of Threes North Florida take and they take a lot of them 52% from a three go uh three-point attempt field goal attempt metric 46% of their points come from the fre three-point line they’re Marksman I mean they’re they’re making with that kind of volume over 35% that’s impressive they play fast they let you play fast and it seems like this Asheville team I know they haven’t exactly played a murderers roow but they’re starting to get going a little bit they look healthy they actually have a decent roster at this point they’ve got a couple of transfers Josh Banks from VCU Fletcher AB who came over from the Citadel I think they can score in this game as well and it seemed like back in that game that I discussed they have no problem playing when someone wants to go up and down so I think this game’s back and forth I think it’s first to 85 wins I’m going to play the over North Florida games are just wildly high-scoring yeah Matt Matt Driscoll’s team they do one thing that is that is shoot the three you mentioned Asheville has won three games in a row those are over St Andrews over Bluefield that’s a little school in West Virginia I happen know to know a little bit about that and Western Carolina that’s their wins Matt Cox any by way real quick one quick point and I’m sure Matt will address this North Florida 9 and0 to the over this year yeah wow all right Matt so we gave a lot on the total anything here on the side with Asheville at home is that number about where you think it should be uh yes it is I do kind of like North Florida on the side though I I still think this uh this Asheville team’s a little bit overrated um just by a hair now back to the total angle that Jeff talked about crazy that North Florida’s actually better offensively without Chaz lanir the guy who’s setting the world on fire over at Tennessee in sort of a d connect 2.0 type of season uh but yeah just kind of shows how unique and how deadly uh Matt Driscoll’s offense is I think in the non-conference especially um you have more I think there’s a small net advantage or net Edge if you will with their offense against teams that don’t know their their style and their system right now it’s not like an overly complex Style with a lot of quick hit with a lot of set plays it’s more of just a unique style which they have lots of guys that can play inside and out lots of versatile quick hitting actions it sort of catches You by surprise if you don’t know it I actually think this could be a good under team in conference play but I think you ride the over wve for the rest of non-conference and then as they get into conference play against teams that know their stuff you have these totals that’ll be like 165 170 like in the clouds there’s probably some under uh there’s a pendulum swing back to the under there but I think for now the end of this noncon Runway I like the over angle all right it will be in the Kimmel Arena they’re gonna play a little earlier 6:30 eastern time tonight on ESPN plus rematch game as brother NAU was talking about UNCC Asheville and North Florida let’s go on the record first official play I here for this Tuesday show is going to be the over Jeff na says points give me a lot of them the overs kind of betrayed Corby Captain under’s been playing overs Nao and he lost two more yesterday that’s four losses I just went and looked four losses for him playing the over since last Monday we got to keep him away from the overs you say over on this one tonight and how about that stat again nine and0 to the over right now for uh for North Florida going into this game tonight n straight and that’s only because they haven’t tracked their non division one games they beat Edward Waters 10859 they beat Warner whatever I guess that’s Kurt Warner his kid or something I don’t know yeah what was the what was the total close on that I think I had the closing total at 175 at my local shop for that that war game so yeah I think they are 11 and0 if you include the N9 D1 depending on your offshores [Music]
