in the description who else could it be Bo me your man Louis T welcome to Saturday night football overtime double Hatter Chiefs Texans kicked us off we followed it up with a heavy hitter in the AFC North probably the best rivalry that exists in the National Football League Steelers and Ravens um the NFL I can’t say this they understood the assignment here on this week 16 Saturday they understood that if they came with some Duds people were just going to turn to the college football playoffs they weren’t going to hesitate we know those games are supposed to be good and so the NFL you know normally on a Saturday late in the season you’re liable to get some trash that did not happen uh today or at least on paper we the first game was okay um this game I think the score is a little misleading because this was a close game throughout uh it got a little bit um sideways late but this was a a close game throughout so I thought both of the game NFL games were pretty solid in nature um all of the college football playoff games have been trash uh although Clemson did make it pretty interesting um for a brief second there it didn’t last long they gave up a immediate 70 you know four yard touchdown or whatever um and and that one was pretty much done at that point but um let’s talk about the uh game we just watched and then we’ll get to the um second game or the first game rather um Chiefs get a step closer to clenching the number one overall seed in the AFC we’ll talk about that a little bit later on but let’s start with this game here CU this one had both games had massive playoff implic but this one huge in the AFC North because this division had not yet been decided had the Steelers won this game they would have clinched the division they would have essentially swept um the Ravens and with two games to go and a two- game cushion and owning the tiebreaker they would have won the division so um they would have won the division had they won this game and I’ve been kind of saying I think most of us thought the games went the way that we thought they were going to go today um I think a lot of you have been kind of saying the same things that I’ve been saying I think we’ve been saying the same thing which is the Ravens are the better team in that Division and we expect them to win the AFC North now I will say this before we actually get to the game itself if you’re Steelers fan out there take solaceon knowing that this is not the old the Steelers of old where you can’t score you’re not going to be able to do enough um you get George pickings back it changes who you are drastically obviously um I still don’t think you’re good enough to beat the upper echelon teams in the conference but not having George pickings drastically changes your offense you are not the same team offensively without George Pickins in the lineup and and it sucks that one guy can do that to your offense but George Pickins is your true number one wide receiver you remove him from the equation you don’t have another guy that can pick up that mantle although I really like what you’ve been getting out of Calvin Austin but you don’t have a number two receiver really for that matter Austin is as close as you’re going to get in that regard so um you need pickings back and then that’ll give you a shot against anybody if the defense can play but these last two weeks you’ve played Heavy Hitters in the Ravens and the Eagles and you didn’t have George pickings for either game and and you were at a stark disadvantage without him it is what it is at the end of the day and you could it again takes solaceon knowing that in both of those games it was a key turnover down a score that ended the game for you right the fumble against the Eagles when you were driving down 20- 13 and then the pick six here when you were down uh 24 to 17 so uh you had opportunities in both games and you just didn’t get it done so um maybe Pickins will be ready for the Christmas Day tilt against the um Kanas City Chiefs we’ll see but uh with this win the Ravens clinch a playoff birth but they’ve got their eyes set on this Division and as I’ve said before I think they’re the better team in the division and I expect them to win the division obviously the Steelers at home next week versus Kansas City big game they lose that game coupled with the Ravens win Ravens then take sole possession in first place and I don’t think they’re going to relinquish that now Pittsburgh does still have to play Cincinnati the final week of the season um and as we know that could be a pretty big game for both teams because Cincinnati’s not actually eliminated yet uh obviously we have to see what happens with um with the Denver Broncos but um a lot of people think the Broncos are going to lose this coming week or or next week excuse me I I as well I don’t think that that the um Broncos are are are going to lose in week 18 though because I don’t think the Chiefs are going to need that game because I think the Chiefs are going to go on the road and beat Pittsburgh this coming week on Christmas and if they get that done they’ll clinch the AFC um number one seed they won’t need the week 18 game you’ll see Carson Wentz in that game and a number of starters won’t play Kelce etc etc and um I I I Sur that the Broncos will take care of business in that game but I digress I’m on a tangent so this game in particular I thought started off with a lot of what was a precursor of things to come Derrik Henry got off to a fast start on that opening drive now the drive ultimately stalled out and the Ravens didn’t get any points they were lucky to even get away with having a football and punting it because Alex heith got to Lamar Jackson forced him to Fumble but they were able to recover that fumble however um that was a sign of things to come he was able to run the football all day over 10060 yards rushing for Derrick Henry in this game when you throw in Derek uh uh Lamar Jackson’s rush yards they probably rush for over 200 yards let me check and see if they did do that um yeah when you you throw in Justice Hills two runs and Lamar Jackson’s nine carries they rush for over 200 yards in this game 220 to be exact so um but Derrik Henry was the Catalyst with 162 of those yards and it started early right first POS uh First Carry of the game as a matter of fact I think was probably like a good 12 14 yard carry and that set the tone for the day they really had no answers for him throughout and when they when they needed somebody to settle them down normally it was 22 they turned around and hand the ball off to Derrik Henry um Z flowers had a really good day um had that deep ball when Baltimore was pinned back deep in their own territory on a third and we’ll call it two uh they took the shot down the field Steelers have a decimated and depleted secondary they lost uh Joey Porter Jr during the course of this game tried to come back after halftime couldn’t really um couldn’t go and so uh he ended up missing pretty much the entire game almost he got hurt relatively early in the game uh missed most of the first half tried to come back for that first possession of the second half and he realized he couldn’t do it so um they were down to a guy that they drafted in the seventh round last year who hadn’t played in the NFL yet this was his first time getting real NFL experience so um they were pretty thin in that secondary and and the Steelers took advantage they took full advantage of that and um despite all of those things though this you know Steelers took a s nothing lead in this game um but the Ravens continue to run the football stay true to who they are um the tight end were heavily involved in this game Andrews with a touchdown uh their first touchdown of the day went to uh Isaiah likeley so they did get the ball to the tight ends in this game quite a bit as a matter of fact um Andrews had four catches Isaiah likeley had three catches Lamar only had 15 uh completions so of his 15 almost half of them went to the tight ends so they were very active in this game but Z flowers was the main attraction at the receiver position five catches 100 yards for Z flowers he had a really really big day um for this Ravens offense they were pretty balanced in their attack um they Ed Derrik Henry to really bait the uh Steelers into having to try to you know load up the box and then when that opportunity presented itself I talk about this all the time when you’re talking about Elite quarterbacks and what separates the elites is when they get that opportunity they don’t miss Mahomes has been missing a lot here lately but generally when the elites get an opportunity to hit a deep ball because you just don’t get many of those opportunities in the NFL and matter of fact Mahomes should have had one today but Justin Watson dropped it and and generally when the when the elites get a a chance to hit a deep ball they don’t miss and they got that one-on-one coverage on the outside because because it was a third and short they thought that Derrick Henry was going to get the football they were wrong they sold out one-on-one on the outside and Z flowers took advantage of it had couple of steps on the defender and Lamar put it right um in the Bread Basket and so um there the the Steelers had put themselves in a position where they had to start taking risks because Derrik Henry was gutting them on the ground so you get into those short yard situations they were able to take advantage but um I thought were turning plays in both games today and the Turning play in this game was the fumble by Russell Wilson right before the half um it’s a seven seven ball game if I’m not mistaken uh at the time and might have been I think it was 77 at that time and the um yeah it was 77 and the Steelers had all the momentum even though they hadn’t taken advantage they they scored a touchdown then they had another drive that was very promising but um I think they got he uh Russell Wilson got sacked and it kind of you know spoiled that drive but they had confidence you could tell they were moving the football they felt like they were in a rhythm Russ started out relatively hot bless me in the game and he started to settle in nicely um and they were on the move and uh they made a change to the lineup they started and I always tell y’all when I watch the Steelers Naj Harris doesn’t scare me I’ve always told you that Jaylen Warren is the guy that I fear in that back field because he gives them a little bit of pop in that backfield NJ Harris isn’t going anywhere he’s physical he does all of that stuff that’s cool but I don’t worry about those guys wor about the guys that at any moment could hit me for a 55 Y and jayen Warren can do that he he doesn’t usually do that but the threat is there and he’s extremely dangerous out of that back field and they started him because na had the big fumble against the Eagles so they wanted to give Jaylen a little bit and he came out and he was flying around and so um that was a big fumble because the Steelers felt like they had the momentum in the game they were moving the football um for much of the second quarter it felt like they were on the move they were the aggressors and it felt like the the Ravens were on their heels and it was a big hit I’m trying to think of the safety no I think it was Ard Darius Stewart I think who laid that hit on um Russell Wilson and the ball came out and Ravens jumped on it and from that point forward the game was never the same the Ravens took that football drove it all the way down the field got the touchdown before the half um I want to say it was 10-7 at that point if I’m not mistaken uh because Tucker hit a 50 one Y which he needs to see it go through the uprights uh we never thought we would be having these conversations about the greatest kicker in NFL history but everybody goes through uh one of these you know situations where they’re struggling and they’re in a rut and it just so happened to be his turn but he needs to see it go through the upright so he had a 51 yard I believe in in the first half if I’m not mistaken so um let me see I don’t have to guess let’s see if I’m right about the score um yeah it was it was 17 um it was 10-7 at the time of that fumble they didn’t go down score that touchdown make it 17-7 and then uh the Steelers finish out the half with a field goal to give them a little bit of momentum going into the halftime break at um 10 17 to 10 and they get the ball coming out of second half but that was a huge play by ardarius Stewart I believe it was him who knocked that football out and um it feel like it felt like the the Steelers never really truly recovered from that fumble that’s when they had the most momentum in the game never really regain the momentum um from that fumble the Ravens did a great job of capitalizing off of that turnover um the Steelers had two turnovers and the Ravens scored 14 points off of those two turnovers in the game so turnovers are key in this series in particular the last time these two teams met the Ravens had three turnovers and those three turnovers were huge in that game and so um the ball was on the ground quite a bit for the RAV in this game I don’t know what it is about when they play the Steelers that they are so sloppy with the football um and it’s all over the place but that ball was on the ground three times in this game but they were able to recover all three and that was the difference um now they did turn it over Lamar had an interception something he really hasn’t done this season only four now on the season for Lamar Jackson It’s amazing um that the season that he’s having this is the best season Lamar Jackson’s ever had yet he probably won’t win no not probably he won’t win the MVP this time around uh I think that that award already has Josh Allen’s name on it but um with the way he’s playing right now um it’s shocking to see him throw it to the other color jersey but I think it was a miscommunication between he and Rashad baitman I think baitman sat down and Lamar expected him to continue through uh on that shallow cross and so um that miscommunication led to the ball going straight to Minka Fitzpatrick who picked it off that was a crazy turn of events there so um at that point of the game it’s a 24- 17 game um the Steelers are right there but the Ravens are threatening Derrick Henry just ripped off a big run and uh good job of the defender I want to call it was the safety maybe Minka cut him off and forced him to cut back because they weren’t going to win that foot race with Dereck I I I’ve always told you I’ve never seen somebody catch Derrik Henry from behind in a straight line foot race never seen it done College NFL never seen it done right and he turned on the gas and turned on the burners and he turned that corner and he was gone and if not for that Steelers Defender that forced him to stop his feet cut back he would have scored there and then that was a big play because obviously the next play if I’m not mistaken or two plays later it might have been Lamar throws the pick and so it felt like wow you know that was the opportunity for Baltimore to really put a strangle hold on this game and there’s this interception and good Hustle by all of the offensive lineman of the Ravens because I thought Minka was gonna score for a second when he picked that off after he made that first Defender Miss I was like hey there’s a Convoy but I always tell you defensive guys don’t know how to block they just like to run next to the guy with the ball they don’t actually you know like the guys the the the the only time Defenders block really well is if if somebody if a offensive player doesn’t know they’re coming so you know one of the things defensive players love to do is peel off and get a guy who whose head isn’t on a swivel um but when when it comes to them running and they see people coming they don’t do a good job of blocking because that’s not something they normally do so uh he had all these ra Raider uh all these Steeler Defenders running with him and nobody touches anybody and he end getting tackled by I want to say it was Patrick mcari who got him on the ground but um so you’re thinking wow you go from the Henry run to the Minka interception totally flipped this thing now the Steelers are in in business solid field position um and and you know let me just say this what’s crazy is to go back in the story uh the game a bit when the Steelers tied the game up at 17 Chris Boswell kicked the ball out of bounds on the uing kickoff gave it to him at the 40 and it took the Ravens no time to go down and score after that it was almost like damn he gave it to him at the 40 and that’s all they needed to kind of spring board them into scoring a touchdown they took the lead they never relinquished it after that so then you have the Derrik Henry play a big run you didn’t get the interception by Minka and you’re thinking okay the Steelers this could be an opportunity to tie the game again and if they can tie this game put a little better of pressure because they own the Ravens do the Steelers like mentally they’re in their head so if they can somehow tie this game up late that that Stadium will get a little quiet that sideline will start to go here we go again Lamar might start getting in his own head he just made a big mistake like this could be the beginning of the Ravens unraveling here and if they do the Steelers could go in to Baltimore in the MNT bank and come out division champs but the Ravens said not on our watch they try to boot Russ you you one thing you can’t do on a pass intended for a receiver towards the sidelines is Miss inside if you’re GNA miss you Miss outside that’s the rule Russ missed inside Maron Humphrey says thank you don’t mind if I do pick six the other way and that was All She Wrote game set match um the Ravens would go on to add another field goal but that was a big turn of events there um but the biggest issue in this game for um Pittsburgh was could stop Derrick Henry and it all started with his Effectiveness Lamar only threw the ball 23 times tonight he didn’t have to throw it a ton because they couldn’t stop the run and so that allowed them to take pressure because Lamar has made mistakes again as he did tonight and again think it was more of a miscommunication than Lamar just being errant but in his career he has struggled against this Pittsburgh Steelers team they’ve gotten to him they’ve harassed him they hit him early in the game forc him to Fumble Alex heith got to his arm he’s thrown interceptions against this team he’s been uncomfortable against this team his Rush numbers are not great against this team so the more you make Lamar drop back the more there is an opportunity and you generally don’t say this when you’re playing against Lamar Jackson is hey we want Lamar to beat us you generally don’t want Lamar to beat you you but if you’re the Steelers you got to take Derrick Henry out of the game and make Lamar Jackson beat you because he hasn’t been able to in his career for the most part but uh they weren’t able to do that you know that that vaunted run defense that has been so good for them they held saquan Barkley to less than 70 yards last week did the Pittsburgh Steelers they needed that type of effort today and they didn’t get it they got dominated up front Derrik Henry and they missed and this is the second week in a row that’s another thing that’s very alarming for me with this Steelers defense right now and and maybe you can blame it on so many guys being out in the secondary but they’re missing a lot of tackles man this is the second week in a row that this Steelers defense has missed a boatload of tackles one of the most offputting things about watching them against Philadelphia last week was the amount of of Miss tackles there were a lot of underneath throws by Jaylen Herz last week it’s not like he was dicing them up and carving them up with dots down the field a lot of checkdowns to receivers third and nine check down to Kenneth gainwell and he makes two guys miss and gets the first down third and five check down to Kenneth gainwell guys right there there should be an easy tackle he spins on him he misses gainwell runs for the first down on Third and five early in the ball game I think it was the first possession of the game matter of fact um they they did not tackle well against the Philadelphia Eagles at all and uh that was one of the things that cost them in that game but it really is ugly head again today that’s something they got to shore up moving forward uh or else this defense is not going to be the version of it that we’ve seen for much of this season that’s been able to hold opponents down and give the offense a chance to win ball games if they can’t tackle better they’re going to be in a world of trouble you can get away with you know lethargic efforts tackling against lesser opponents when you’re playing good football teams as the Steelers will be pretty much here on out you know you got this the Chiefs next week you got the Bengals after that and then you got playoff teams after that however long you go so they’re gonna have to shore up the tackling but um if you’re the Ravens Big Win obviously keeps you in the uh clinch a playoff spot first and foremost let’s just get in the dance now they’re in but more importantly after that you now have a chance to win the division get a home playoff uh home playoff game which is huge and so um I think the path is now set for you to do that if you’re Baltimore you take care of the Texans on Christmas day which you should um turn around and finish up the season against the Browns you got exact um a measure of Revenge there they beat you earlier this season game that you should have won jamus Winston throws an interception right to Kyle Hamilton he drops it that would have clinched the game but that’s nor here nor there they got you the last time you need to get your lick back you will to finish up this season if it comes down to that needing to win that game which it will um to clinch the division and so um they will lose the game PHS will lose to Kansas City next week more likely than not so you’ll have a chance on Christmas day to take over so possession of first place and then all you got to do is win in week 18 to solidify um the what would that be the second straight AFC North crown for you if I’m not mistaken two years in a row so um the opportunity is there and you created that by winning tonight so that was a that was a hell of a win if you are the Ravens on the Steeler side um too many mistakes obviously the the fumble by Russell Wilson costly the pick six by Russell Wilson costly the inability to stop the run um and just look when you look at their offense right now it’s just not a lot out there it’s van Jefferson It’s Pat fouth and it’s Calvin Austin like that’s the extent of your pass game right now that is not saying much right so um it’s tough it’s tough seding without George Pickins um can somebody tell me what in the hell happened to Roman Wilson and obviously he’s hurt for the season but what did he do you know and when did it happen I must have missed it I knew he injured himself I didn’t know to what degree but clearly they drafted him for a reason damn it they could use Roman Wilson because they think he’s going to have a z flowers type impact on their offense what happened to him can somebody please enlighten me because I’ve been waiting for him to come back waiting for you know a 21-day window to open up at some point and clearly it’s not happening he must be done for the year so he did something significant is it an ACL is it in Achilles did he tear something upper body wise what did he do somebody please let me know what happened to that man because damn they can use another receiver very badly in Pittsburgh but um you know they they had uh Mike Williams but you know there’s only so much he can do he just got there not too long ago so um he’s a very very minimal contributor at this point of his Steelers career so there’s not a lot in Pittsburgh right now so um you can’t so essentially what I’m saying is you can’t afford to make mistakes you’re not in a position to make make the type of mistakes that you made today and expect to win when your offense isn’t capable of carrying you and this defense didn’t have their fast ball because they couldn’t stop the run tonight so to many mistakes on the on the part of the Steelers you had the kick out of bounds by Boswell you had the fumble by um Russell Wilson you had the pick six thrown by Russell Wilson you you gave up 162 yards to Derrick Henry it was just too much for you to overcome too much for you to overcome in this game and then the injuries in the secondary too it’s a boot right you already banged up um and now you you know you got all these things going in in you know not in your favor and now you got to turn around and play again in four days on Christmas so yeah it’s not cool but it’s what you do right so both teams in this thing at 10 and five um look if you’re the Steelers everything you want is still in front of you still can win the division you know all you got to do is win out and the biggest one is obviously right there next week Christmas home against the Chiefs not an easy task but if you get George pickings back you’ll have a shot you’ll have a shot if you don’t I I can’t see you beating Pittsburgh uh Kansas City if you don’t get them back I just I don’t see enough um offensively against that Chief’s defense I just just don’t see you being able to do enough to manufacture enough points to win but um you get pickings back and you’ll have a shot in that game and if you beat the Chiefs you’ll probably win the division you probably win the division so we’ll see what happens but um big win for the Ravens now we got us a division race on our hands and I’m I’m excited about that I like when these things come down to the wire to the very bitter end I hate when teams like Kansas City they clinched probably like you know two weeks ago the the bills clinched like a month ago I mean their division is so ass that I hate that I hate when teams are able to clinch that soon right I love when divisions come down to the the very bitter end so um see what happens uh before we get to um our side of the bracket so this was a a step in that direction at home against the Texans team that already clinched the AFC South uh they are a playoff team but they haven’t been playing the kind of football that lends itself to them winning a game in the postseason they look like food for any AFC wild card team if you’re a team in the AFC and you’re not going to win your division you want the fifth seed you don’t want to play the Ravens in Baltimore you don’t want to play the Bills or the Chiefs whomever doesn’t get the number one seed right which is probably going to be the bills you don’t want to go to Buffalo have to play a playoff game you don’t want in in Wild Card Weekend you want Houston indoors against a team that’s struggling and now they’re going to be without one of their another one of their Premier wide receivers we’ll get to that here in a second but for the Chiefs it was important that you take care of this game you’re on the road against the Steelers that’s not a gimme and you got BR uh Denver Broncos in week 18 you already know that they almost came into your building and beat you you know just a little over a month ago so you really don’t want to have to need that game in week 18 and with Mahomes having an ankle injury everybody complaining about the three games in 11 days boy would it be nice to go ahead wrap it up by Christmas and then allow Mahomes to heal and any other guys that have any other ailments to just rest up over this Christmas break essentially they would be off for that entire period they wouldn’t play in week 18 they would be out for the first week of the play you could essentially get momes three weeks of rest if you win the next two games right so this was the first step towards that um so you’re at home Saturday tilt against the Houston Texans and um defense started quick with the interception on the opening possession um they quickly turned that into a touchdown and just like that it’s seven nothing and I’m thinking they’re about to roll these boys because I already told you I don’t love the way the Texans are playing football right now so I figured they’re about to roll these boys but of course in typical Chiefs fashion um nothing’s ever easy for them they never make anything easy and so um the Texans hung around and the Chiefs I thought did a really good job in this game of harassing CJ Stout I thought they did a really good job of establishing the run with Kareem hunt um they they sprinkled in a little bit of PCO but this was more about Kareem hunt in terms of the ground game matter of fact I think he might have been there leading Russia Kareem had um obviously had the uh big run at the end to seal the deal but um even before that like P he only he had nine carries Kareem had 11 carries um in the game and I thought they did a good job of staying in manageable third Downs um it felt like they were consistently whether it was short pass game that put them there or the Run game getting three or four in early down situations felt like they were constantly in manageable third Downs let’s see what their third down percentage was in this game felt like the Chiefs um yeah seven of 13 on third downs and you could feel it both teams were seven of 13 on third downs but um uh top blackl talked about I thought he did a really good job I actually think he’s one of the better uh color analysts that does both college and the NFL I like him better than Kirk herbstreet actually but um you know Todd blackl talked about you know the Texans struggling on early Downs putting themselves in third and Longs which happened a little bit today as well but you could argue the Chiefs have had that issue with penalties and uh the lack of a run game and consistency there they’ve been in some third and Longs themselves and um you know a lot was being made about mahomes’s ankle going into the game and what did I tell you I said we hear about mahomes’s ankle The Narrative um you know with his ankle all the time and I I talk about this with him in particular no quarterback injures their ankle and comes back faster and plays like nothing’s wrong with his ankle more than Patrick Mahomes so of course he’s gonna come out and I’m not telling you that he’s not injured because I watched him get hurt against Cleveland I know he injured his ankle and watching quarterback the series on Netflix you get a great look at what Mahomes goes through when he does injure his ankle to put himself in a position to be ready he puts himself through some serious um rehab right to prepare himself to play even after injuring his ankle so I knew he was going to be ready for this game and he went out there he had the touchdown run on the opening possession or after the turnover rather and um he looked good Mobility wise he moved around well uh was able to extend plays he did I thought one of the key plays in this game was I thought it was a fumble Tim settle hit his arm and that ball looked like it was out and it looked like his forearm pushed it Forward they caught it incomplete I think had they not been a rough in the passer uh penalty which what the right called Derek Barnett clubbed him upside the head uh but if that does not take place they initially ruled it a touchdown on the field totoe picked the ball up ran for a touchdown and they initially ruled it a touchdown they then came back and said it was incomplete I wonder how that would have gone because the call on the field would have been huge because if they would have left at a touchdown and I’m thinking they had like an expedited replay I I think that ball was out personally but whatever uh they they it didn’t matter because Derek Barnett clubbed him upside the head on that same play and that gave them a 15 yard penalty so whether it was a fumble or not was irrelevant he um you know got called for UNR and at the at that point the chiefs were able to take advantage of that they ultimately went down and scored another big storyline heading into this game was the debut of Hollywood Brown uh as a Kansas City chief it was a big offseason acquisition uh he injured himself in the preseason first preseason game as a matter of fact um missed all of the Season thus far and this was his first time in a Chiefs uniform I’m still kind of adjusting to seeing him seems like the Chiefs have all of these weapons now right now it’s just about getting them acclimated and getting everybody on the same page you have Holly with brown you have DeAndre Hopkins you have um uh Xavier worthy you have um Travis Kelce and then you have the running backs so there are uh in Juju Smith Shuster as well you have a plethora of guys for Patrick Mahomes to get the football to and so um I think the biggest beneficiary of Hollywood Brown potentially being a big factor here down the stretch is Xavier worthy who had one of his better games today I I’m actually interested to see what his [Music] um I think he led them in receiving today but I I’m have to double check that but I feel like he probably led them in catches if not him Kelsey but yards for sure uh felt like he was the go-to today worthy led the team in catches let’s see if he led them in targets he led them in targets catches yards and touchdowns he was the only guy to catch a touchdown from momes in this game he had seven catches the next closest guy had five which was Hollywood Brown and Travis Kelce um he had 11 targets the next closest guy was Hollywood brown with eight so you see they’re trying to get Hollywood Brown established um and they did a really good job of doing that and he got open and he’s going to be a problem I’m telling you that the Chiefs have not scored 3 one points or more this season they’re one of the few teams that are actually any good they showed the stat I I had seen it on X probably like a week ago somebody had it up and I was like yo that’s crazy I actually had to go look it up myself because I didn’t believe it but they scored 27 today and they could have scored a touchdown late in the game they had opportunity after the Kareem hunt run but they went down because it was more advantageous for them to just take the knees and end the game but they could have scored over 30 today I’m telling you that this offense has a chance to be dynamic again now that Hollywood Brown is back if they can protect Patrick Mahomes look out uh he had a chance to hit a deep ball to um to uh the oh shuck I called his name earlier they had a chance to hit the Deep ball and he dropped it [Music] to um just Watson and so I’m telling you shit’s about to open up offensively for them it’s speed now they got possession receivers they got speed receivers they got guys that can do you know everything they got Juju Smith Shuster DeAndre Hopkins um and Travis Kelce is possession guys underneath and now you got two guys that can stretch the football field vertically DeAndre can work the intermediate too and then you got Hollywood Brown who can work the intermediate and in the deep and you got Xavier worthy who can work underneath and then work vertical so they got guys that can hurt you at all levels now and they went from an offense that didn’t have nearly enough weapons to now an abundance of them and it it they starting to get to a level where you can see Mahomes is rounding in the form with these guys it’s gonna take a little bit of time but you can see the 27 points they put up today they gonna have a chance to turn into a real threat here down the stretch like I’ve heard people say oh it’s the worst 13- one team I’ve ever seen now 14- one put some respect on their name as I’ve said you’re talking about the two-time Super Bowl defending Champions like you could tell you could tell me all you want about this and that they winning games and they’re getting healthier they’re getting guys back that’s a scary proposition right so I actually thought it was a good game for them momes um didn’t turn it over right and that’s been something now he did get sacked um in this game oh only once it felt like he got sacked like three times he he you know got pressured a little bit he’s been sack a bunch this season that’s still a thing in that offensive line that’s going to be the real key is can they protect him when they get into the postseason against these teams that are good that can Rush the quarterback if they can protect him you better watch out for these Chiefs man I’m telling you right now that defense they don’t give up points you know uh but I think the Chiefs have a chance to go three Peak I didn’t think you know they could you know earlier this season but I kept talking about if they if they you know make a move at receiver which they did to go get um DeAndre Hopkins I had no idea that Hollywood Brown would come back until probably about a month ago so you add you know DeAndre Hopkins now you get Hollywood Brown back and all of a sudden they look formidable P’s back but you know they’re still working him back with Kareem hunt like they got something going man and with that defense and it’s crazy because they have injuries in the secondary they get Corners go down it doesn’t matter they just they still play ball man they just they’re well coached they’re aggressive mcduffy’s a problem um he had another pick today he had one last week God he’s good um I was wrong about um George caraus I thought he was Ryan carrian he’s better than Ryan carrian caraus can turn the corner Ryan carrian could never turn the corner right this dude slot your hands down he’ll turn the corner on your ass he was turning the corner on the um the Texans uh rookie right tackle out of Notre Dame um uh fiser Blake fiser and so kofus is a problem man and and so you got car ltis you got Jones who did injure himself today and did not return to the game that’s something to keep an eye on but again if you clinch next week guys like like um Chris Jones and Patrick Mahomes can sit down for essentially three weeks and get fully healthy and be ready for the divisional round of the postseason so um it’s a big game next week against the Steelers you win that game and um you got a lot of time to yourself if you’re the Kansas City Chiefs but um they got a lot of guys on that defensive side that that can that can wreck your game right um that’s a good football team they’re just a good football team are the Chiefs but the Turning play in the game was the injury to tank though and um before we even get to that um Joe Mixon has been really good like he there was a play I just had to bring this up because I was going to forget there was a third now where there’s instant penetration by the Chiefs and Drew tranquil gets into the back field I believe it was immediately and he cuts it cuts back on him there’s another Defender waiting on him Cuts back on him and is able to get the first down and you go whoa and he’s he’s wowed me this year with his ability to make cuts to show the speed when he gets out in in open space and um he’s been a revelation for the Texas I don’t think they knew when they traded for him they gave up a a a they gave up a half eaten bag of chips for him seventh round pick like if if they knew what they were getting if the Bengals knew what they were giving up because they thought he was washed too if they knew what they were giving up and and the Texas they they would have they would have charged more right they would have charged more they essentially gave him away like hey Spring season’s over you know we’re going in the summer we need to clear the uh showroom floor um so we can get this summer gear out here uh we’ll give this away just just mark it down let’s get it out of the store so we can move on right um they gave Joe Mixon away and he’s been excellent that said Todd blackl I thought did a great job of pointing out that the one guy the Chiefs couldn’t stop in this game was tank de right and he gets hurt and all the air sucked out of the Texans any life that they had so this is a very competitive game started out a little rough with the interception and the Chiefs scored a touchdown and it felt like the Chiefs they had an opportunity to maybe run away with this game I think it might have even been 10 nothing at one point in this game um no it was 17 to1 was the biggest lead that the Chiefs had U at that time and it was seven nothing then it was 73 um and then it was 107 Texans actually took the lead then it was 1410 and then it was 1710 and they were hanging around and I was like man Kansas City playing games again one of these times they’re not gonna get away with this [ __ ] so I’m like they hanging around the Texans are hanging around and then you could see they were gaining confidence as they continued to hang around they were getting momes they only sat them once but they were getting them momes they were harassing him they were hitting him the Run game wasn’t you know super effective and so I I felt like if the Texans could just get even with the Chiefs they could beat him and when he hits tank Dell on that deep ball for the touchdown I said uhoh the Chiefs could be in trouble here and immediately upon catching the ball he makes the catch and he immediately points to his knee and I I was shocked that he made the catch because generally when you’re in that type of pain you forget about the ball instantly ball goes away and you’re more concerned with your your injury and he held on to the Rock rolled over and immediately pointed to his knee cuz his teammate was trying to help him up and he was like bro bro my knee my knee my knee and you could see him clutching his knee and and you knew it was bad and then they showed the replay and I’m like oh no and you knew it immediately this is bad and so they they showed a replay a couple of times they go to commercial break and they come back and I knew CJ was gonna take it rough because that’s his boy and if you remember last year tank Dale was having a hell of a rookie season and a you know not a similar injury but a a season ending injury happened I think it was to his ankle though last year that put him out he didn’t get to play in the playoffs last year they didn’t have him down the stretch last year so this you know he was the crazy part was they’ve had all these injuries to all of these receivers started with Nico Collins getting hurt then Stan Davis got hurt and the only guy that stayed healthy the entire time was tank and now tank Dell’s gone and and they come back from commercial as right as they were going to commercial break CJ stad took a knee and you see him praying and you knew like he went from Jubilation like yeah to seeing the the the jumbo TR and knowing oh [ __ ] tank might be gone and he was sobbing like uncontrollably like he was hurt that his boy was hurt and I felt bad for the receiver this is a practice squad guy up for the first time this season just trying to make a play diving in the end zone he thinks the ball’s for him he doesn’t know that tank Dale is coming from the opposite side of the field he’s diving trying to make a play and it’s his helmet that collides with the side of of his knee that you know does the damage and he felt like [ __ ] too and I felt so bad for him and they you know they had to console him because he felt bad like oh my God I did this this was my fault and so it was a lot of that going on and I’m like oh man that you know and I’m a tank Dell guy you know tank is my guy I wanted my team to draft him uh out of Houston so um I hate to see it and you know prayers up for tank Dell they took him immediately to the hospital anytime they take you off in an ambulance and straight to the hospital it usually means that it’s some serious [ __ ] that usually requires emergency surgery so um prayers up for tank Dell and his speedy recovery um you never want to see that happen but in that moment I knew the Texans aren’t going to finish this game the way that they need to to win all of the wind was out of their sales their quarterback mentally was not like he had to try to start the you know the engine rev the engine back up but he had turned the car off at that point mentally he was with his boy in that in that ambulance you know riding off the field he was with him like um and you could just see it even the kicker right after all of this transpired kamimi Fair bearon missed the extra point and this was like I saw this coming once he couldn’t even tie the game up that sideline was dejected dejected and Todd blackl said maybe a possession after that because Stout uh uh the Texas got it they went three and out I believe after that maybe they got one first down and they punt it but whatever the case may be he said you know the bad part about you know the tank Dell injury outside of the fact that it occurred and you know it seems pretty significant is that he was there their most productive player that that the one guy the Chiefs could not stop was tank Dale because they had a pretty good handle on dton Schultz and um they had a pretty good handle on Nico Collins so tank Dell was put presenting the problems and sure enough after he went out the game all they could muster was that one field goal but they really couldn’t generate real offense they were struggling man and um it felt like that play and honestly no no um tank Dale the rest of the way is tough because you were already down Stefan dicks and so what started out as this promising season for the Houston Texans with all these guys that they added and you know we were talking about the Texans as the biggest threat to the Chiefs in the offseason when they made all of these moves we looked at their roster we said they’re stacked and you look at them now and they’re just the shell of themselves it’s just it’s just Nico Collins Joe Mixon excuse me Dalton Schultz and CJ St on offense and I don’t think that’s enough I don’t think that’s enough and so um this was this was a devastating blow to the Texans um because it was already going to be tough sledding for them come postseason time because I’m not sure that they’ve beat a good team this season outside of Buffalo I’m not sure that they beat a good team this season and not to disparage them I mean you beat who you beat I know they play in a pretty bad division but with what they did this off season and and them essentially going for it they went for it you know they essentially tore up um Stefan diggs’s contract gave him essentially a one-year deal like hey we not going franchise tag you none of that we gonna give you this upfront money just to go out here and prove it for one year with us they went out and got denil Hunter they went out here they they you know did all of this stuff that they did traded for Joe Mixon um they went out they went all in and obviously it’s not going to pay off now with all these injuries so that’s a devastating blow cuz with Nico and tank you still had a CH you you still had a shot that’s a formidable one-two punch sprinkling a little doton Schulz and Joe Mixon on the ground and you got enough stuff to present some problems for some teams Nico can’t do it by himself though and that’s where you are now like you’re gonna need Woods to step up Robert Woods to step up but at this point in his career he’s nothing more than a third Maybe maybe fourth option at best and now you’re going to have to ask him or Hutchinson or one of these other bums to step up and it’s just they ain’t built like that and they weren’t supposed to be counting on other guys that’s why you went out and traded for Stefan days that’s why you went out and acquired you know Joe Mixon that’s why you signed Nico Collins to this contract extension that’s why you drafted tank Dale so you wouldn’t have to rely on the the Hutchinson of the worlds and the Robert Woods and like that but that’s where you are now um I guess John Mei I’m assuming is a little banged up haven’t seen him in a couple of weeks is he coming back don’t know but man that’s a devastating injury for the Houston Texans it is devastating um and it took the if they beat the Ravens next week on Christmas day um essentially if they went out they could still win um the third seed and I I don’t know you know the the difference there but could be a big difference because more likely than that the fifth seed is going to be whoever doesn’t win the AFC North meaning the Ravens or the Steelers um are you afraid of the Steelers though probably not I mean they proba they’re good enough to beat you but are you afraid of the Steelers probably not my guess is no you’re not right now do you want to play the Ravens probably not but you got to play them this Falcons on Sunday night football next week but we’re GNA be talking about the commanders that night hopefully they’re clinching a playoff birth so we won’t be talking about this so wanted to take this veteran right you got a head coach that um is I think a solid offensive mind I think they feel like they got enough Talent out there to be competitive way more competitive than they were this year and you know if you watch some of their games you would probably tend to believe that you know with better quarterbacking they could be in a better position entering KK cousins um he he may have lost his confidence this year I think he’ll be a year healthier next season I think he’ll be a little bit more closer to the kurk cousins we saw in Minnesota and a lot further away from the one we saw this year that was incapable of protecting himself and moving and creating time in the pocket or taking off and running when need be uh that said I think the Titans are the team that ends up signing Kurt Cousins right um Seattle Seahawks I don’t see that one they they’re the second um best odds I don’t see that I don’t see him in Seattle Cleveland I don’t see the Browns being a destination for kurk cousins even though stans’s offense fits Kirk Cousins skill set perfectly the problem is they already got too much money sheld unless Kirk Cousins who is the ultimate Hustler you say whatever you want about Kirk Kirk been pulling the wo over people eyes for years now Kirk’s gonna be still being paid by the Atlanta Falcons for at least the next couple years all right and because of that same thing with Russell Wilson Russell Wilson was able to take a Sally a veteran a veteran minimum deal right he didn’t have to go sign a lucrative deal he was like no I go to Pittsburgh for the vet minimum because I’m still being paid good money by the Denver Broncos Kirk could do that now if he was willing to do that he could go to Cleveland right the option to go to Cleveland would still exist but if if I know Kirk like I think I know Kirk Kirk gonna want a little bit of money he a he ain’t gonna sign for the BET minimum right wherever he goes Tennessee’s got some money so I see him going in there and he he might not hit him over the head but Kirk ain’t gonna sign for the vet men right he’s like nah I was thinking like you know two years 20 mil you know let me just put a little something in my pocket man um so I can see him going to Tennessee I can’t see him going to Seattle Gino Smith is fine there if you gonna stick with a veteran you might as well stick with Gino right uh Cleveland definitely is an option but again they they’re in no financial position to be taking on any more money from a quarterback even if it’s the the vet minimum I mean they could afford that but I don’t think Kirk is playing for the vet men uh New Orleans they got Derek Carr still he sucks but whatever I I just don’t see like going from Derek car to Kirk Cousins to me is the most lateral move ever which makes perfectly sense for the New Orleans Saints because the Saints do lateral [ __ ] right um he’s not going to the Giants the Giants are in a position unless they mess it up like the Giants could beat the Falcons this week unless the Giants mess this up them and the Raiders should be one and two in the draft you know like I’m G tell you right now though the Raiders play the Jags this week oh my if you’re a Raiders fan this is the most nerve-wracking game of the season because you could actually win on Sunday if you’re the ra you’re like oh [ __ ] why do we have to play Jacksonville of all teams now why them right the one team that would allow the Raiders to win nine to seven Jacksonville so um [ __ ] could get really interesting but I digress um he’s not going to the Panthers they’re gonna roll with Bryce young the Jets aren’t going to go from Aaron roders to Kirk Cousins that doesn’t make any sense uh I could see him going to Indianapolis with Shane styken I could see that uh the Joe flacko thing did not work out um for them this year and Anthony Richardson is not the answer in Indianapolis I think um I could see Kurt Cousins maybe going there and uh working out in in Shane Stein’s offense but that’s the extent of it he’s not going to Tampa neither the Patriots the Dolphins or the Cowboys so to me they’re only maybe two or three realistic destinations if somehow the Raiders or the Giants f up their draft standing and can’t get back into the quarterback sweep Stakes I could see one of those two teams wanting Kurt cous especially the Raiders they want want to win like they need to win they want to win like um the Browns did you hear miles Garrett talk about I need to see a plan like I need them to explain to me how we’re going to be relevant or I gotta go man y’all are wasting the prime of my career I don’t have time for this [ __ ] and so um DeShaun Watson Ain’t it so that could be interesting there but the Titans to me are the number one team for Kurt Cousins service what what says you guys out there then uh I pull these Michael pennick Jr um specials just for the sake of pulling them so Michael penis Jr has three games to start to finish out the regular season here and in those three games they want to know is he going to pass for 750 yards or more to finish out I think he threw for 14 yards I think he’s two or four for 14 yards right now if I’m not mistaken that’s what he did in the Denver game so um essentially 736 yards over three weeks he’d have to average roughly let’s just round it he’d have to average roughly 250 a game passing do you really think a rookie in his first three games is going to jump in and average 250 a game for three games to finish up they say no right I mean they they give you the odds at plus 200 if you say yes but the the where it’s set at is them telling you they don’t think he’s going to do it that’s why I said it plus 200 um now they’re definitely will he hit a thousand yards in these final three games he would have to average roughly 333 yards passing roughly again if we just average it out forget about the 14 yards that exist blank slate he’d have to average essentially 333 yards that’ll get you to 999 you have to have one yard extra in one of those games plus 3,300 they’re pretty much and that if you were betting yes he would he’s G to hit a thousand yards in these three games he’d have to go crazy down the stretch to do that either in one of these games two of these games or You’ have to be really good in all three highly unlikely now the 700 I wouldn’t rule that one out the 750 rather I wouldn’t rule that out because he could get frisky against the Giants come out guns of Blazing throw for 375 in his first NFL start against a bad Giants football team and and then kind of go from there right um but I I I don’t see him hitting either one of these you know mile markers what what say you cousins team next year I think it is the Titans that’s the odds and and I think that’s the best the team with the best shot to get him that makes the most sense they’re not going to get a quarterback in the draft they’re going to probably need a matter like if you ain’t built for this [ __ ] you ain’t built for it like it’s it’s the it’s the reason we see the same four teams every goddamn year in the playoffs Georgia Alabama you know you know Ohio State Michigan Clemson Notre it’s the same six seven teams every damn year just cycling out with two usually being in which is uh Alabama and Georgia right and in in Ohio State usually and if it ain’t Ohio State then it’s Michigan right and and people get mad because those are the best teams and here we go we we let all these other teams in because we want to make it fair and now all these lesser teams getting their ass whooped shouldn’t have been in there to begin with at least they put up a fight because they used to be in this stage so they put up a little fight on the road to Texas but um they were overmatched and now we ain’t even got out the first quarter yet in Tennessee getting they [ __ ] kicked in getting they [ __ ] pushed all the way in and we ain’t even threw the first over um he said this place is nuts cuz um it were so loud like they they was jined up it was 20 degrees and they was out there having a blast but um I do like the HomeField environment though that was that’s pretty dope giving these rockus fans an opportunity to be um in attendance rooting on their favorite college football teams in a playoff environment that’s dope you you’ve seen teams right now home teams are 3 and 0 um and there’re looks like they’re gonna be four and0 now after Penn State is up 20 or not Penn State state’s up 21 nothing in the first quarter and they just forced the turnover of Tennessee and now they’re getting the ball back looks like the home teams are going to be four and0 to start this thing off so anyway um I enjoyed the NFL games though I can’t say that LT the obb CMAC writes hey Lou what’s going on cra says hope all is well with you and the family likewise as always man really truly do appreciate you my guy Chris writes three questions one and two do you think John Harbaugh is a Hall of Fame coach now or does he need to win another Super Bowl or get to 200 wins and where do you rank Patrick Mahomes all time if he wins another Super Bowl so I’ll start with Harbaugh I I’ll answer these in in the a manner that you asked them if is John Harbaugh a Hall of Fame coach now I think so I really do um now I think it’s debatable whether he is or not right now because he’s had so much success but only won Super Bowl to show for it and it was so long ago you’re talking about 2012 was when he won that Super Bowl this man has been the number one seed at least two or three times and they have made it out of the divisional round a couple of times as the number one seed and then last year he was the number one seed and they they didn’t make it out of the championship game so I think he’s underachieved with some of these really good teams that he’s had so I do think that’s a bit of a stain on his resume so to win another Super Bowl would do something that very few have done there aren’t many um coaches that have won multiple Super Bowls it’s it’s a very small fraternity of coach that have won multiple Super Bowls so um I think that a second Super Bowl would cement him as a Hall of Fame coach I think he’d probably get in now but I mean look Mike Shanahan isn’t in and he should be in already to be to be honest with you I think his the end of his uh career in Washington might have you know tarnished his legacy just a smidge but um something else to consider when you talk about coaches is impact and a lot of times the way we gauge impact is your coaching tree and you look around at Harbaugh and there aren’t a lot of successful coaches from his tree I don’t even know if he has a tree to be honest with you for as long as he’s been coaching and you can make the same argument with Mike Tomlin right those two are your I think after bellich retired or was fired um the two longest 10e coaches in the league are are are Harbaugh and Tomlin and neither one of them I think have a tree neither one of them if I’m mistaken I can’t think of too many guys that came up in the game under either one of them that went out and be became a head coach and was successful um so that’s another thing that they that people look at and that’s why Shanahan should be in the Su in the Hall of Fame because not only did he win the Super Bowl twice but he’s you know credited largely for the Zone run blocking scheme the stretch the the outside Zone the inside Zone and and the success of that and the popularity of that and we call it the Shanahan system like when when you see you know Kevin okono doing what he’s doing or you see like guys are taking that system and and then they’re altering it slightly or they’re putting their spin on it like Shawn McVey but that’s the Shanahan system right like if we named an entire system after you you should be in the Hall of Fame you want two Super Bowls you’ve got this immense coaching tree you’re reaching the NFL is Limitless um Shanahan should be in Harbaugh doesn’t have that and if Shanahan’s not in he’s a two-time Super Bowl winning head coach with a immense tree and an offense essentially named after him and he’s not in Hall of Fame yet I think he’s going to get in eventually I think he’s a part of the finalist group now if I’m not mistaken but still he should have already been in and he’s not in I think Harbaugh still has some work to do so I changed my mind Harbaugh’s not in yet he’s got some more work to do but he’s he’s heading in that direction one more Super Bowl I think to your point um because I don’t know where he is wins wise and and how close he is to 200 but he’s not going anywhere anytime soon he’s going to be coaching for a while I don’t see him going anywhere he’s gonna get to that mile marker the the the question is can he win another Super Bowl as long as got Lamar Jackson he should be in a position to win another Super Bowl so um he’s not in yet but another Super Bowl I think puts him in now as far as momes all time if he wins another Super Bowl I think that catapults him to to the goat status all the way up to number one and here’s why now if you want to argue Brady’s one and that’s fine then you would put Mahomes right there like nipping at his heels at number two for me I would put him over Brady and here’s why no no disrespect to Tom Brady but Brady never did this right Brady never won three in a row no other quarterback has ever won three in a row no other team has ever won three in a row alone quarterback so he’s done something that no other quarterback in NFL history can lay claim to that’s hard to do this league has been you know running and established for for almost over 100 years right over 100 years um and they’ve been counting Super Bowls now we almost approaching 60 right where we at like 59 I believe wherever we are we getting close to 60 of these things and no no quarterback has ever won three in a row including Brady who won two in a row now this man and you keep in mind Mahomes I don’t even think he’s 30 yet how old is Patrick Mahomes how old is Patrick Mahomes let’s find out Patrick momes is 29 years old he’ll be 30 at the start of next season he turns 30 in September SE September 17th so Mahomes is 29 years old before the age of 30 this man will have four Super Bowl rings before the age of 30 this man will have four Super Bowl rings three of them in a row what does Brady have six right or is it seven I always I always mess up the count on Brady is it six or seven um how many Super Bowls do the Patriots have let me let me let me let me look it up I always mess up the count on Brady and then after the show somebody’s like Tom Brady actually has fill in- the blank um let’s see he got seven of them hoes woof uh seven of them hoes so um golly it’s tough to put somebody higher than Tom Brady when he got seven rings but CU Mahomes may not get to Seven bro do you understand how hard it is to get to seven of them things but momes has done things that we’ve never seen Tom Brady do um momes has a chance to do something that no other quarterback has ever done in NFL history and he’s got a chance to do it before the age of 30 um I watched Tom Brady’s entire career so this isn’t one of those situations where you know I didn’t see the person play I seen Tom Brady’s very first snap all the way to his last snap so I can tell you what Tom Brady has been and or what he was and he wasn’t Patrick Mahomes he’s a damn good quarterback and the thing that you could always say about Brady is he’s a winner well so is Patrick Mahomes so um um you in this third Super Bowl I’m putting him at the top of the list he’s not there yet but a fourth Super Bowl before the age of 30 three of them in a row something no other team no other quarterback has ever done in NFL history yeah I’m putting them at the top of my list because I know if he wins this fourth Super Bowl he’s not done even if you know they don’t win it the next year or the next year after that even if it’s a little Gap he ain’t done yet he ain’t done that’s crazy though to think about him winning they ain’t winning the [ __ ] this year they can’t right I ain’t counting them out until they lose they winning the Super Bowl if you ask me till they lose I I’ve been warning y’all all year look out for the Chiefs the I said the worst thing that y’all could let happen is these bastards keep winning wining while they stinking it up and Mahomes has been stinking it up the offense has been funky and at times the defense hasn’t been great and they still find ways to win that’s scary very very scary anyway um I can understand I seen somebody in the comment section says um has done something no other quarterback has done true seven rings I don’t know if Mahomes is going to get to Seven man that’s but that speaks to the longevity of Tom Brady for as long as he played um you know some dudes are just built different I I saw that Ricky Henderson passed today or yesterday and I didn’t find out about it until today and and that one hit me hard because I I was a big baseball guy growing up and you know Ricky Henderson was the man like I don’t think we’ll ever see a greater leadoff hitter ever um than Ricky Henderson that low Crouch you know excellent eye for the baseball and because he was so short and because he crouched down so low the strike zone was hard and he wasn’t he wasn’t swinging at pitches out of the strike zone a lot of times so he would get walks and I remember the saying was if you walk Ricky Henderson you pretty much put him on third base you w Ricky Henderson was like giving up a triple and that man played over 20 years in in the majors unbelievable like his first year in the majors was 79 and he didn’t retired to like 2003 or some [ __ ] like that like 24 years or whatever it’s it’s crazy right like you see pitchers do that [ __ ] you don’t see position players play that long like you see designated hitters and [ __ ] like that but for Brady to do it for as long as he did it is crazy and that just speaks to the Seven Super Bowls because it’s not like he won no Super Bowls early in his career and then didn’t win nothing late he won his final Super Bowl with the Buccaneers what three years ago 2020 so four years ago like yeah I get those who say nah Brady’s won until Mahomes catches him I get that I’m putting him if he wins this Super Bowl I’m putting him ahead of um Tom Brady I’m doing it but gotta win this one gotta get the third in a row gotta do the thing that nobody’s ever done because Brady’s done something nobody’s ever done and probably nobody else will do I don’t even know if homes can catch them you get this fourth one though there’s a conversation that starts to be had but um you got to do something nobody’s ever done if you want to pass Brady because the only other thing you can do at that point is catch him if you don’t get the three in a row then you got to do you got to catch them you can you cannot catch them and finish your career with five and there’s a debate and the people that want to use the ring debate go right ahead right it’s the same that people do in the LeBron Jordan debate a lot of times is the Rings and then they go to never lost in the finals like it’s little certain things you use as your argument but I’m just going with the ey test I know what I’ve seen and if this man wi three in a row I ain’t got nothing for you I mean like nobody else is going to do that it’s hard to win one Super Bowl let alone three in a row this man just finds a way to win period so anyway I digress um that’s going to do it for me your man Lou T here on um Saturday Night Football over time uh two Heavy Hitters man two heavy hitting games all four of these teams are playoff teams all right all four of these teams are in the playoffs all have clinched playoff spots with the Ravens winning tonight they clinched and punched their ticket to the postseason Steelers had already done so Chiefs had already done so Texans had already done so so these were four playoff teams the NFL brought it in terms of uh the matchups and the uh teams that they put on this Saturday um and they were two wellplayed games you know the score May not necessarily indicated in the second game with the Steelers and Ravens but if you watch that game that’s a seven-point game with about 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter before Russell Wilson throws the pick six so um that that was a close ball game so anyway um Steelers fall to the Ravens 34 to 17 and now they got a fight for this division they had a chance to clinch it now they got to fight for it they’re on the road on Christmas day or excuse me at home on Christmas against the Kansas City Chiefs that’s a big boy this [ __ ] got rough late man Eagles Ravens Chiefs three weeks in a row damn might be three straight losses for for this uh for the Pittsburgh Steelers we’ll see meanwhile for the Ravens Big Win get some right back clinches a playoff birth first and foremost but gets him right back in the divisional race tied a top that division now at 10 and five and um the the prevailing thought is that the Steelers will lose on Christmas they can beat the Texans on Christmas if the Ravens can take care of business they will take sole possession first place only needing to win in week 18 versus the Browns to clinch the AFC North meanwhile in the first game of the day Chiefs take care of business 27-9 improved to 14 and one on the season and are one win away from clenching the number one seed in the AFC uh Mahomes and& company get it done yet again uh Texans dropped to nine and six but more importantly they lose wide receiver tank Dell for the remainder of the season to a nasty knee injury sustained um late stage of the third quarter um Dale caught a touchdown collided into by a teammate um did not get up had to be um strapped to a you know gurnie in terms of um stabilizing the knee put into an ambulance and rush to the hospital where he is going to stay uh so assuming that that means he’s probably going to have to have surgery emergency surgery hopefully everything goes well well for tank Dell but that is a devastating blow for the Texans who not only lose the game 27 to9 but lose one of their best receivers um they’re not they’re not going into the playoffs feeling good are the Texans they haven’t to me they haven’t played good football in almost two months it feels like to be honest with you um they’ve had some gut-wrenching losses they’ve had some near disaster wins and they’ve had some really backbreaking injuries and t d was just the latest in all of that so now nine- six for the Texans had an ugly loss of the Jets a just a gut punch of a loss to the Lions they’re not playing good football you know I I just I don’t love the way I don’t like the way they’re playing and now this injury further
