all right beloved mistas uh welcome back to the channel uh what a wasted opportunity uh let let’s talk about the match last night uh what a wasted opportunity this is a match that we should have won uh this was a dismal performance uh the first 35 minutes were appalling I think it’s impossible to be a Mista and not be personally offended uh by the first 35 minutes uh this was a match marred with lapses uh of concentration defensively uh incredibly inconsistent this is a team that is surviving on individual moments uh of Genius uh our Collective play is very poor uh we are surviving because we have incredibly talented players that are capable of producing something out of nothing uh you in in specific moments of a match uh and that is what is keeping us alive in these competitions uh because our Collective play like I say is very very poor look this is not the end of the world from a points standpoint there’s plenty of leard left uh but I just think it leaves a terrible taste in our mouths because uh this is a match that we should have won uh okay let me give you my thoughts uh on the match individual players uh Etc uh thanks for joining me uh let’s get started uh mistas welcome back um okay let’s talk about the match uh last night and you know it’s funny a few hours uh before the match uh I was talking to my uncle for those of you that are new to the channel um I have an 82 he just turned 82 82y Old Uncle uh who lives here in Spain and he comes to every match with me and you know he made me a Mista at a very very young age but he’s ridiculously knowledgeable he’s probably the person I think that that knows most about footb M that that I know in the world uh he’s you know an absolute Mista to the Bone but you know we were talking before the match and he said you know I’m I’m worried about this match against Rio because Real Madrid historically and many of you guys may have noticed this uh after we play a sort of intense European uh match uh when we come back uh and play sort of modest opposition in La Liga we tend to play very poorly after those matches now the Atalanta match ad L it wasn’t a quarterfinal or a semi-final or anything like that but it was a very important European match it was a match that we needed to win it was a match that was played with a lot of intensity and physicality uh and it’s true that historically when we come back to La Liga and play Moda opposition after a match like that uh we tend to play poorly and he was spoton because that’s exactly what we saw uh last night just a really deflated performance uh in terms of the lineup um I don’t think it was Terri L surprising Vin started on the bench of course coming back from injury uh Carlo chose chamini over aseno which seems to be a permanent feature now uh it looks like car made up his mind on that one uh and it was very good to see ARA aruler uh in the lineup um I I at least I think that’s very positive uh but the lineup was kind of what you’d expect uh you had Fran on the on the left uh Lucas bque on the right uh tramini and rudiger in the middle uh you had a 442 with Luca Modric and fed as a kind of double pivot uh Jude was sort of up Center left uh and then you had on the right and then a little bit further up front you had Brahim uh and Rodrigo so nothing particularly shocking there uh but look the first 35 minutes were absolutely appalling I mean we were so slow we were you know just as against Atlanta we were anticipating passes getting in front of passes and we were kind of anticipating everything and we were quick to the ball this was the opposite it we were slow to every single ball so you had the impression that we were ball watching all the time because we were just getting to every ball a second too late and we were just chasing the ball uh uselessly uh when we had the ball of course we really struggled to get the ball out of the back we couldn’t string three passes together we just looked like a team that was deflated in terms of energy and intensity and alertness uh and the first like I say the first 35 minutes were just disgusting they were just horrific in in the third minute uh the the first Ray bayano goal was an unforgivable uh defensive mistake I think all three goals were uh completely unforgivable mistakes uh the this ball was headed in that the player that heads the ball is completely unmarked there is nobody within five feet uh of the guy and you know you can attribute blame to you know in terms of who specifically had to Mark him I don’t know I know Lucas vaske looked lost uh in the first two goals but this was just Unforgivable somebody had to pick up that man he was completely alone in the second post uh completely unforgivable uh to give you an idea of how bad this was in the I you know when I watch the away matches at home I take notes uh in the 18th minute this is what I wrote in my notebook I wrote R passing the ball with insulting ease uh and I I think that just defines it perfectly they were just passing the ball beautifully One Touch we were putting no pressure on it we were arriving late to everything it was just really really hard to watch even players like aruler uh and rudiger were kind of you know making stray passes and losing balls that they typically wouldn’t lose uh again it was really really hard to watch uh the the 2-nil in the 35th minute again this was this this is a header that is just completely unforgivable uh there were plenty of bodies uh in the area and nobody cleared it uh 2- nil uh and again having two tall center backs like traan and rud how is this possible uh I just don’t know how this is possible uh after the 35th minute you know we tried to pick up the tempo a little bit uh 3 minutes after that in the 38th fither scores an incredible goal again not so much virtue of great play but just uh just kind of a moment of Brilliance uh from a player that has an absolute Canyon his right foot uh is is just Majestic uh he has an incredible shot feather’s right foot has saved us from so many bad situations in the past uh it was just a wonderful shot uh struck with incredible power uh and incredible Precision uh and uh in the 44th minute just before the end of the half uh Jud scores the 2-2 uh sort of you know right place right time uh a slide header where he just kind of you know deviates the ball just enough to to put it in the back of the net Judah is in very good form I think it’s six goals and six matches now uh in the second half I think we were a bit more composed uh and when Rodrigo scored his goal in the in the 55th minute uh that that ball took a deflection but I think we have to give credit to Rodrigo for creating the chance uh you know he was quite active and quite creative uh after that 35th minute uh but once he scored it looked like the kind of match that ra mad would settle in and start to control uh and it was just incredibly disappointing uh that that wasn’t the case in the 62nd minute uh Vin came in uh for Brahim uh and in the 63rd minute just a couple of minutes after Vini came on Rio scored uh the 3-3 now again this is a defensive mistake when you guys watch that goal there is a defender in front of the Rayo uh Striker and there is a Defender behind the now when the ball is crossed in the only player that attacks the ball is the Rio forward uh both of our Defenders were were stuck in place I don’t know if they were trying to play the offsides uh but they didn’t attack the ball and the only player to move forward and put the ball in the back of the net was was a Rio forward uh again I think just a lapse of concentration uh and alertness uh to to take us to 33 after that of course arm tried to push forward uh you know in a futile way uh we had more changes in the 71st kaminga came in for Luka Modric uh in the 78th Lucas vasque and NADA uh were substituted for andri andalos uh and the only real clear chance we had was in the 83rd minute uh vin with a wonderful turn and a very powerful shot with his left uh they could have gone in uh but again this you know the match ends 33 I think just frustrating because qualitatively you cannot compare the two sides I mean this is a team that we should be able to beat uh even even with all the injuries that we have uh player for player we’re we’re much better than they are this is a match that we needed to win uh and should have won and it leaves just a terrible taste uh in our mouth because uh we wasted almost the entirety of the first half just playing you know sleepwalking on the page and it’s just kind of unforgivable uh look it looks like Caro uh Carlo very clearly looks like he’s choosing tramini over aseno even though this kid played very well for for three four games prior to that but you know Carlo is showing once again that he just sort of sticks to what he sticks to uh he has a really hard time kind of making changes he he sort of he he seems to have set players in his mind that he always goes to uh and he seems to be choosing tramini as Center back over aseno uh you can tell me what you think about that in the comment section uh even fed if you notice towards the end of the match uh rather than pushing Lucas vth further up when he made those changes he actually chose to to take Lucas vth off and push Fed Up on the right uh so it just gives you an idea that fed you know he will trust fed in any position over Lucas VK uh but you know it it just you’re you’re starting to see Carlo’s colors a little bit uh but anyway uh I’d love to hear your thoughts in terms of the you know the lineup and and the substitutions in terms of individual players uh I’ll give you my thoughts I think ctoa you can’t blame him for the goals uh because I I think the goals were defensive mistakes and you can’t really blame ctoa but he did look a little bit tentative on occasions and I don’t know if I’m imagining this uh but there were a couple of balls especially aerial balls that he didn’t attack uh that I think he should have um and I don’t know if that sort of signals a little bit of tentativeness U but I did get that feeling on a couple of occasions so I think with had a sort of so so match um the goals were unfortunate probably not his fault but he just felt a bit tentative to me uh definitely let me know what you think about that uh Lucas bth had a had a very poor match I mean this is a player that just simply is having a very very hard time containing attacks uh on the right hand side uh Lucas baske I I don’t you know he he you know his face does appear as possibly the guilty party in the first two goals uh that might be a little bit cruel but uh you just did get the feeling that on on those goals he could have done more or been better placed uh but even during the course of regular play I just think Lucas bth is really struggling uh to play in this position and he is a weakness uh he’s a weak Link in the chain uh Fran I think was a little bit better uh but not not great I think Fran was more uh impactful in attack um but also had a couple of defensive lapses uh so I think he had a sort of you know mediocre uh match as well uh tramini is really hard to judge because he did a lot of good things and he did a lot of terrible things so you know at times he did rescue a couple of balls where I thought that was you know really excellent his timing uh and his placement Etc but then on other occasions uh he he really really just wasn’t where he needed to be uh and again when you have center backs like rudiger and tramini how can you allow two goals from headers against a team like Raya Yago this is just not forgivable uh rudiger I think had a slightly more consistent match uh but again you know maybe he’s a little tired he seems a little bit bit tired to me uh but of course he’s playing every single minute of every single match so that shouldn’t surprise any of us uh Luca Modric I thought was very disappointing uh you know he obviously deflated as the minutes went by and by the time he was substituted he was kind of like non-existent in the middle of the pitch uh I think Luca you know he just wasn’t the presence in Midfield that he needed to be especially in the first half uh we we had no control over that Midfield at all uh I think think Luka had a a very poor match uh fed to the contrary I think was very consistent not just the goal which was incredible uh but I think fed always you know Works incredibly hard he’s very consistent it’s very hard to think of a match where Barber hasn’t been at least a six or a seven it’s just even his mediocre matches are very good I mean it’s very rare to see Fed play a poor match uh and I think I think he was one of our better players last night uh Jude this applies to Jude as well I think Jude was a very good he was you know he he’s definitely taking a leadership role uh in in these last few matches uh he works tirelessly I say this every video because it’s true he just works so hard uh but I think Jude was uh you know present in all parts of the pitch participated well in attack and as always gives everything defending uh he’s he’s really taking a leadership role uh in the squad and which is something that that I think is very encouraging uh AR I thought was okay I mean he wasn’t great uh but but he was okay uh there’s one thing thing that I did like I want to mention about out of the uh there was that one header in the second half when he’s in on offside position and he goes to head the ball now knowing that he’s going to get absolutely slammed by the goalkeeper because he knows this uh he goes into head the ball knowing that he’s going to get creamed the second he touches the ball uh but he did it anyway uh despite knowing that he was probably off sides and he was going to get wrecked by the goalkeeper but that’s the kind of commitment that I really like to see he was focus on the ball and focus on making the play uh and didn’t care about the the pain that was coming to him I’m surprised he didn’t break his collar bone because the impact looked pretty severe but I think I had an an okay game but again I really like uh the balls that he showed in that play uh and sort of recovering and continuing to play after that uh bahim I thought was you know okay but you know not not the player that we saw uh in Bergamo against Atalanta I think Brahim was a a little bit less present uh he certainly pressed less defensively and in Italy he stole a few key balls he didn’t do that last night I think but aim was just I don’t know maybe it’s fatigue but he just seemed a little bit off uh didn’t participate as much the dribbling wasn’t quite working he just uh wasn’t wasn’t quite the the threat that he was a few days ago in Italy Rodrigo I thought was okay again not in the first 35 minutes okay in the first 35 minutes everybody gets a zero uh but afterwards Rodrigo did sort of pick up the pace and and you know tried a few plays I think he he certainly tried every time he got the ball uh so I think he had an okay game uh I need to mention the refs because you know the little calls will kind of never go our way but there was one it did annoy me look the penalty potential penalty on Vin in real time it didn’t look like a penalty to me but when you saw the replay I mean it clearly was now it’s a little bit surprising that the ref had no interest uh in reviewing it that the VAR Booth had no interest in mentioning it because the VAR Booth presumably would have checked it but again these are the things that happened in La Liga that were just so used to uh but again look I think this was a just a a sad performance because we we should have won this match we’re a far better side uh and if we had just focused in those first 35 minutes uh and played with a little more attention uh we should have taken the three points out of this so just very disappointing I think in general uh but and but you know that we are where we are uh and it is what it is but listen give me give me your thoughts in the comment section which I always really uh enjoy reading but very disappointing I think we’re coming out of this it really takes a bit of wind out of our sales after the last couple of matches uh we wanted to make it three for three it was kind of unfortunate uh we have time to make up for this but I think it just leaves a shitty
