e e e [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] yo what’s going on everybody welcome back to another Yankees Avenue live stream hope everybody is doing well on this Friday the 13th how about that good to see every hope you all are doing well and kicking it back for uh at least with me for the next probably half hour or so because we got a bunch to go over now majority of it is good news to well depends which way you look at it but at least one one portion for sure and that’s the uh Devin Williams trade is fantastic and that’s what um why I labeled the title this live stream cashman’s best trade in years I mean that and I’m going to gas him up in that regard now we also have to talk about the fact that Kyle Tucker is obviously a Chicago Cub very unfortunate maybe we’ll go into that really quick uh here’s the thing Jack Curry love the guy to death and I want to say this in the least disrespectable way possible CU you know like who am I to I don’t want to even say like correct Jack Curry but the Yankees don’t want it out there that they offered Lis heel for a rental and Jack Curry not calling him a mouthpiece for the Yankees but he you know reports information that he has given which is from the Yankees so don’t get it twisted not that I’m going to play The Source game or nothing but I don’t think I really really have to it’s kind of out there by now on Houston’s end of things a lot of people have reported it but Luis heel was involved in the trade talks for Kyle Tucker I can tell you exactly what the deal was it was Luis heel Ben rice and sorry always got to be checking the little buzz in my watch in case some breaking news goes down but Luis heel Ben rice and George Lumbard which was Yankees 2023 first round pick and I’ll tell you right now that was the better offer that was the best offer that the Astros received and that’s not being Yankee boy or nothing that is a fact because Astros GM was full on ready to accept it the problem is is you know Jim Crane the Astros owner refus to trade to us which to be honest is pretty lame cuz yeah like to throw them a bone and be like complimentary the hell you worry about us for bro like talk about little brother type I mean there’s a real little brother in baseball it’s like that the Yankees to the ash mean not so much anymore but it’s not like it’s like bro you you own us but whatever so bummer about that because of that reason you know he’s going to Chicago and maybe we’ll get him with the deadline I’ve been saying that all day on Twitter cuz I don’t know what Chicago is doing man I mean the national league is stacked the Cubs aren’t that good maybe you know they’re going to be a fringe wild card team but even if you get in how you going to get through that playoff bracket and then you get into the Cody Bellinger side of things which um real quick on this and then we’ll talk about dein Williams um but I don’t understand exactly what the Cubs are doing here because they’re still looking to trade Bellinger it seems like he’s going to be a Yankee to be honest like you never know it could happen on this stream that’s how I don’t want to say close it is but you can kind of just tell when uh a move is inev inevitable and I think this one is which it’s kind of curious to me because again what exactly are the Cubs doing you you go out and get one year of Kyle Tucker and you’re going to trade away Cody Bellinger who’s your second best hitter next to what Ian hap maybe even best hitter or after Kyle Tucker now they traded away is parades whatever it is we don’t got to get involved in what the Cubs are thinking who really gives a but point is the Yankees are looking for Chicago to pay down a lot more of Bellinger’s salary and the reason we’re talking about this first is because this is like the active thing going on right now this seems to be the next move and I’ll tell you not as a replacement for Kyle Tucker but I do want Bellinger Bellinger is a really really nice fit here now we still don’t have a first baseman but not getting Kyle Tucker pretty much confirms you know or Cody Bellinger if he were to acquire him he would play center field and then we’ll have to see what the deal is at first but another part of this is also the Yankees are apparently trying to include Nico Herer in this deal now money’s a factor here too he makes $1 million this year or 20 in 2025 and then 12 million in 2026 now he’s a nice player and I’ll tell you this right now I do want him so I don’t want to come off like I’m talking niik Herer is not worth $11 million for what he is now now the war nice he’s a defensive specialist at second base to me I mean if there’s one area where I’m like not too concerned about having the best defensive second Bas or def best defensive player at the position it is second base I just want somebody you know to be able to man the position but that’s why he gets paid now with that said he is capable of getting on base and he doesn’t strike out a lot and he’s very quick you see the uh 31 stolen bases he had last year 335 OBP he’s a nice player he’s a nice he’s a nice player and the reason why you would you know look into this and you know Cody Bellinger if they were to get him together which they’re trying to do your lineup’s looking like this and the benefit is and specific to Nik Horner is he can lead off and the Yankees that’s somewhere there that’s an era they’re lacking severely right now we talked about it a lot we won’t go too much into it in this stream but if you go out and get Nico Herer there’s no doubt about it he’s the best option to uh to lead things off and you see there on the right side is the projected WRC Plus for 2025 so this is if and remember this is totally um speculative right now it’s none of this has happened but if it were to you look at the projected WRC plus of the Yankees hitters and first thing you notice is they’re all above average including Ben rice by the way I mean if you’re somebody who doesn’t want you know the Yankees to go internal at first base you better hope the in aren’t looking at the projections cuz I also have the lineup with Christian Walker projections don’t mean much like they really really don’t you know when they go against your narrative but Christian Walker projected only be you know one point better WRC plus wise than Ben race but I’m half kidding when I say that point is this is a nice lineup this is a really really nice lineup now I’ll say this like this can’t be it this can get you to win the AL East with how good our pitching staff is and we’re going to get to Deon Williams in a minute just this is like kind of like the Hot Topic right now because Williams happen this morning but we’re going to talk about that but uh what was I just saying the Yankees could not make a move this winter I’m talking they could have not signed Max freed and not make any moves offensively and there’s a good shot they’d be in the World Series it’s not me gassing up the Yankees it’s me talking about the American League that’s how for right now at least easy of a path we have and the Astros just got worse but we don’t care about winning the elast we don’t care about getting to the World Series we care about winning the whole damn thing so with that in mind and even if you get this is my point Nico and Cody Bellinger I like Ben rice lot but you got to add one more bat you got to add one more bat and the main thing that sticks out and leads me to say that is I like Austin Wells I do I would feel a whole hell of a lot better if let’s switch back to the Christian Walker side of things you get Christian Walker the way at least I have it shaping out you drop Austin Wells to eight and that’s no diss on Wells I think he’s going to be I believe in the guy that we saw you know when he was put to the four hole and then you know he slumped towards the end whatever he’s a rookie or was a rookie but yo no matter how good I feel about got him I’d feel great if he was in the E hole and then not to mention Anthony vulpi in the nine hole but the problem here chat and we’ll get to what you guys have to say at the end hopefully the audio is all good by the way uh Morgan I don’t know if you’re in here or now but just let me know if anything’s popping we had an issue with that last time but the issue here is if the Yankees wanted to this is where we go back to the money side of things Cody Bellinger is against the luxury tax making $26.6 million per year Nico Herer is making $11 $11 imagine that’d be good 11 million this coming year even with trading strowman the Yankees just don’t have enough room to sign Christian Walker if they take on if they were to take on the entirety of Bellinger and niik Horner’s salary and I’ll tell you even if the Cubs eat like 5 mil a year off Bellinger they still and when I say Ford I’m talking about going over the Coen tax which is $31 million even if they trade strowman if they’re bringing on Bellinger and Nik horer at full money which they won’t do but even close to full money you probably can’t sign a first baseman unless it’s Carlos Santana which maybe that’s the route they go but what I’m getting out here is if you want to make a lineup that is you know at least going into the season because you can always upgr upgrad at the deadline as I I’m not kidding about Kyle Tucker by the way like that is an option for me at the deadline we’ll see the where the Cubs are at but if you want to have the best lineup possible I mean what you should do is almost include a consider incl including an actual Prospect a legitimate Prospect to get the Cubs to pay down Bellinger salary significantly and I’m talking by like almost $10 million aav and how you get to that is Chad I’m willing to include Spencer Jones which is not even that much of a bomb these days I mean Spencer Jones is stock is falling off quite a bit I like him I’m no Scout but you know his value has dipped and we’ve talked about this a lot he’s without a position going into the year especially if you sign Bellinger um if you can get get CH if Jones was capable of doing this and I think he would be I don’t know what the hustle return is going back to Chicago like that’s being discussed right now I can’t imagine Spencer Jones’s in general being included in these talks that would be ridiculous but because it would give you room if they’re so mandated on staying below Cohen’s 301 if including Spencer Jones in this deal to get Bellinger and Herer and they pay down the salary by like pretty much include 20 to $30 million in cash like that’s the route I would go that way you can open up room to uh sign Christian Walker because as much as I like this lineup and I should even say that again Wells for I’d like to avoid that no matter how much I like him this lineup is so much better so so much better so we’ll see what happens there but for now at least it seems uh the next move is we’re going to get some sort of resolution with the Chicago thing because the the Cubs are really only talking to the Yankees about Bellinger they’re really his only Suitor and again it’s a very curious situation to begin with because the Cubs are apparently going for it they just acquired Kyle Tucker and now not only they going to trade away Bellinger which I understand you know part it’s a it’s a salary relief but again they’re going for it but also niik Herer which the Cubs are have been willing to trade ni Horner it’s just a matter of the money but to wrap this up this is next on the agenda some something to do with this I think Cody Bellinger will be a Yankee just a matter of how much money the Cubs pay down and is niik Horner involved and that’s kind of not just my opinion that’s where the Yankees are at to that’s the latest thing we heard is that they want the Cubs to include Herer and they want uh they want the money like at least significant enough to what they consider paid down but that’s what’s next we’ll see what the deal is and before we get into the Williams thing let’s go over this really quick because this is pretty freaking awesome yo especially you know it’s nice to see guys wanting to be a Yankee which a lot of people do and I post on yank out this morning by the way this is random but I’m like I’m going to start appreciating guys that appreciate being here and I always do that like for those who know me I mean I’m not like some I mean I’m a shill actually so there you go I live and breathe all these guys but I’m going to really start like gassing up the guys that you can tell appreciate being a Yankee and randomly just posted a picture of jazz because I know he’s one of them Yo and speaking of that Jonathan Wisa wanted to be back and he is back one your deal with a team option dude unless we’re getting them for free like I don’t know what the deal is no money has been reported and this deal has been like not official but out there for three days now I’m imagining it’s going to be somewhere like between 3 to 5 mil for 2025 cuz he was making I think like right around three last year but we don’t got to spend too much time on this but welcome back yo good to have loise go back and the obvious thing is can he stay healthy but if he can man I mean those who were around I mean I don’t know how much younger know how much younger you guys are that may be watching but the 2021 season not that long ago Jonathan liso was literally the best reliever in baseball I’m pretty sure by War he had the highest war of any relever in the American League at least and uh when he’s on man I mean the Sinker is insane the ground ball rate incredible he can get a you know decent amount of strikeouts every now and then too even though you see the 207 and 219 Innings pitch we don’t got to go on and on about it you guys know Lea it’s nice to have him back main thing is can he stay healthy we’ll see but that was a welcome site I was pumped I was pumped to see that and also uh he threw a little story on his Instagram I he you know told judge like I’ll be back I’ll be back and then once the contract came out he posted up on the story and judge reposted and was like I know bro I know uh which I’m not going to say there’s any HD hidden meaning behind that but get the OG B not the OG band back together trust him I’m not saying like get the old baby bombers all back but like I like guys that are being Yankees and if they’re able to be a valuable piece on the roster like we fully welcome Jonathan go back um but speaking of the bullpen let’s get into uh let’s get into the main big news that that happened and there is nothing but positive things to say about this move put it in the title and say it right now like I think this is Bri some of Brian cashman’s best work in years now Nester we’ll talk about him in a minute because that is from like an emotional standpoint unfortunate see him go but let’s just talk about Caleb deran real quick yo Cashman has been playing a game man and so much so to where almost in the last couple weeks I was starting to actually buy into it like we’ve all been saying oh you know cashman’s just gassing up this Prospect who’s not even like a ranked Prospect still uh just you know build up his value and trade him for peace and that made total sense it’s you know doesn’t take a rock scientist to really assume that but they kept talking on and on about him then it was like he’s going to be an open day roster or’ll probably be the second uh opening day second baseman to where yo if I was writing down a lineup for opening day I was putting Caleb Durban in there well Cashman fooled me too yo he was playing a game and with that gets Devon Williams in return with him as the only prospect going back to Milwaukee and uh yo not a loss at all like Caleb der like good luck bro I I don’t mean that in like a negative way but like again I’m not going to lose any sleepover really whatever Prospect was going back unless it was like Jason or Spencer for you know one-year rental is one thing but like d Caleb Durban again no disrespect whatsoever and I generally do wish him well he’s going to the national league for those who don’t know by the way Caleb Durban 5 foot6 second baseman who was never on anybody’s radar still really isn’t if you look nationally how prospects are ranked but strikes out less than he walks he’s you know classic old Scrappy ball player that a lot of you guys would have liked but you’re going to like Deon Williams too this guy is holy man I mean honestly myself I was looking at his stats you know Devon Williams you know really all these guys like are good you hear about him like they the reputation and kind of just go off that at least for me because you guys know like I’m I don’t care about the national league until October to be honest I didn’t even know this Deon Williams was you know a big time change up guy I was talking to plof and Rose on BT this morning I was like so what’s his deal you got like a nice fastball and a slider or something and they’re like Ro you got to start watching baseball in the Yankees I’m like no I have no interest in doing that why would I do that but Williams is nasty dude I mean I don’t feel bad saying he’s the best closer in baseball which on paper You could argue is very true but yo if you’re top five and you’re a Yankee him you might as well just be number one he’s going to be the closer and one of the other benefits of this is now Weaver goes back to a multi- inning role where Boon can use him wherever he wants I mean on paper he’ll enter like as the eighth inning guy but yo I mean now that you can use him similar to how they use in the playoffs Al he was obviously the guy that would finish the game more often than not if not all the time but where Boone just needs to get out of a jam all even if that’s in the sixth inning give the ball Weaver Weaver could yo Weaver could pick the ball up from the starter and honestly ell there there could be uh plenty of times or at least once couple times where we see the starter hand the ball off to Weaver and then Weaver hand the ball off to Williams like that is very plausible you could just have you know a star to go six Innings there you go Weaver for two and there you go I just said there you go a third time that would lead it to Deon Williams the N so I mean between that the rest of the depth the Yankees Bullpen already has with Ian Hamilton Jay cousins will be back they still haven’t resigned Tim Hill but they probably will I mean the very least they’ll get some sort of Lefty in here they don’t have any lefties on the 40-man roster right now relievers wise uh and Lisa man and I’m probably forgetting somebody too so the names we already have adding Devon Williams the fact that luk Weaver goes back to whether it’s just the eighth inning or definitely a multi- ining weapon and just knowing how the Yankees operate in general they always take care of the bullpen that’s the one area you can feel pretty damn good about them with and you know give the benefit of doubt it’s already loaded so I mean yo if you’re somebody who for the longest while was truly against signing ju soda which I cannot say I was but now that I am you like you you you instantly afterwards like all right the silver lineing here is now we have a lot of money to spread and we can do a lot of different things I mean we got ways to go we still got to add at least two bats but dude we’ve already significantly improved um at least of course on the pitching any things I mean adding Max freed and de Williams I mean dude think about the playoffs and uh let’s see um who was it uh actually it was Jake on talking baseball made a great point about you know for those who may be upset about losing Nester which I understand but yo think about the playoffs Nester there’s a good chance with a starting pitching death we have or even just look at this past year um he threw what like two three Innings I mean there’s a strong possibility with again mostly from the death standpoint where Nester only usage is a few Innings next year we just turned that and an unranked Prospect into the guy that’s going to be finishing hopefully the World Series for us our new closer Devon Williams so value wise and the fact that especially Nester was a rental he was a free agent just like Williams is by the way at years end this is a rental but so was Nester and uh you know cliche old thing of trading from an area of strength for an area of need this wasn’t even an area of need it’s just making what was already good or was already great even greater or I’d say good to great now but when it comes to you know just Nester as a Yankee I had this one of my Yan have comments before when I posted about him saying uh I’ll always remember oh it’s unfortun I always remember Nester just for one thing and that’s you know the Walk of Home Run for against Freedom I’m like Bro off dude Nester was a damn good Yankee man and I posted with the Tweet too because remember back in July he just ran he was probably like I don’t know wasted or something I mean you can’t blame the guy like feels like something I would tweet if I was a Yankee but it was like I think it was like 2 a.m. or something just randomly the night he just tweeted this out in July everyone talks s about the Yanks but they want to be us it’s privilege to wear pin every year we’re in contention blessed to be able to compete for a playoff spot and always be contenders at the end I mean yo that at the time I remember being like yo you’re a dog Nester because I always eat this stuff up but especially more so now guys that appreciate being a Yankee it means even more to me now and obviously Nester did that and yo Nester the pitcher was terrific terrific and it goes past just 2022 that breakout year you know 21 he was also good but yo 20124 Nester I mean speaking of that Freeman Grand Slam and just whatever don’t get it don’t let a sour taste in your mouth on how was season one Nester had a damn good season in 2024 pitched opening day wasn’t great but it was the opening day starter made a full 30 starts e under four I mean he was a really really good Yankee and I have nothing to go off of here this is kind of like a little I know inclination is that the word that you just feel like Nest will be back at some point not next year when you know the free agent when he is a free agent but at some point Nest Cortez will find his way back into pin stripes I don’t know if you guys feel that way but I certainly do so Nester love you dude good luck with Milwaukee and uh yeah just appreciate everything you did um but with that said it’s a no-brainer making this move this was a tremendous tremendous pickup by Brian Cashman and one more time I just want to emphasize yo like I guess telling myself this because a lot of you guys probably know like Devin Williams is insane man I mean forget the ER which is career under two it’s been under two the last three seasons he’s filthy and you know fun to watch all that but dude like the strikeouts the strikeout numbers are are insane 375 K and 235 and two3 innings pitched I mean that is I won’t say unheard of but like I mean let’s just go off this standpoint for the Yankee Bullpen last year that was unheard of strikeouts were really the one area they were lacking in not anymore not anymore huge pickup good job by Brian Cashman now it’s just a matter of uh what happens on offense because pitching the pitching staff is terrific terrific and we’re keeping heel by the way we’re keeping Lis heel which I guess you know is something to be I mean obviously excited about but I was thinking he would go for Kyle Tucker the rotation now that you’re factoring him in because he won’t go for anybody else there’s really nobody worth his value that I can think of I almost would this is conversation another time I would have Ron be the four man he’ll be the three split up the lefties and this is nothing even against Ron but just like the way it would look having Carlos Ronis are for even if you were a hater man I mean you got to admit that would be that would be money but that’s for string training let’s um let’s see Yo really quick by the way I uh forgot to announce a giveaway on our last show for the giveaway winner which we’ll do another one right now comment Down Below on the YouTube stream or no on the comments section so not if you’re in the live chat right now which we’re going to get to what you guys have to say in a little bit trust me uh but whether you’re watching later or right now go to the comment section and drop a comment it doesn’t have to have the keyword that I’m about to mention in it until the very end but at some point in your comment include the key word Devin Williams to make it easy include Deon Williams in your Tweet or in your comment below that way everybody can pretty much enter but uh the winner from last week was uh Zack r9- pk6 wh Dan would you rather go back in time and see an Elvis concert or the Yankees three Pete dud great question and and the key word was Elvis last time so I see what you did there there’s no there’s no contest bro there there’s no contest I would I love Elvis to death man and that’s a big dream of mine is like you know live in an alternate world where he’s still alive but not even for I mean to see one Yankee World Series there’s some some crazy things I would do but hit me up on Instagram or Twitter probably Instagram but whatever works for you at Dan Allen uh I I’ll see them and just let me know you won the giveaway and I’ll see your name too and uh we’ll get that all straightened out but yeah um I’m going to turn it over to the chat really quick really quick on Christian Walker though the Yankees were very close to a deal with him about three days ago and then they started to get a little bit of cold feet now I don’t know if maybe the reports got out there that they were close cuz they were feeding them feeding the media reports that you know we’re on Christian Walker that’s our main focus to try to like I don’t know use leverage against Tucker while they were still negotiating with him whatever it is they’ve cooled off on him a lot since and going back to what I said in the beginning if we were to get Cody Bellinger who is making 26 million in 2026 2025 and 2026 and Nico hoer who’s making $1 million in 25 12 million to 26 even with trading Marcus strowman’s $18 million which I think they’ll definitely be able to do if you’re trying to say over the Cohen 301 tax say under the 301 tax Christian Walker is just like not in the budget because he’s going to make over $20 million and uh we won’t go through the whole you know calculations of it but I did it beforehand and if we took on the entire money of Bellinger and Herer even with trading Str we have I think like 10 million left before we get to the coax which obviously wouldn’t be enough so again with that said yo if we’re going to do this and I think they’re going to I just really really hope I know the Yankees do too that Bellinger salary is paid down significantly because if so we can add a first baseman if not I don’t know I don’t know maybe Ben rice does start and again the projections love them and no matter what Adin Horner and Bellinger that makes the lineup pretty damn deep I just don’t like jazz 4 and I’m sorry I like jazz did I say Jazz Wells I don’t like Wells for I’m so pumped for jazz year to I really really am he can’t be bat and forth and to be honest I don’t even love the idea of him protecting Stanton so you got to add another piece and the Yankees know that which is why this deal hasn’t happened yet if the money was within reason and the Cubs were willing to pay down what the Yankees think they should pay down Cody Bellinger is probably a Yankee as we speak which one more thing on that again just want to emphasize to get them too significantly pay it down I would consider including Spencer Jones I just would you got to get something for him unless yo if you disagree with that I understand because maybe Jones isn’t fit this return of Bellinger and herner who are both very nice players but man knowing now the Yankees work and Prospects couldn’t you see a world where Jones is you know still on the roster in 3 years 25 maybe I don’t know two to 300 career bats never got a full-on opportunity or maybe he did and the Yankees took it away from him too quick or whatever it may be and all of a sudden he’s got no value and because he was a once a big time Prospect and we turned down trades that would have made the team better you feel obligated to keep running him out there or just you know hold on to him I mean think Oswell I don’t got to give you guys a examples you all know who I’m talking about everybody not everybody but a lot of the Yankees prospects so just from the standpoint of capitalizing on value while you still can and I mean that yo cuz Centra Jones like I don’t even think he’s a top 100 Prospect anymore it’s already falling fast so that’s kind of where I’m at with that but yo I think I’m going to pull up the chat now really quick before we do that reminder yo follow I got to get a new example graphic for this but follow yav on Instagram for uh all the up toe minute news you know when this does Break um unless it’s right now because you guys will find out via the YouTube stream but it all gets posted up to the minute news right away on uh Instagram Facebook too also posted on uh Tik Tok a little bit as well but yeah let’s um let’s pull the chat really quick and uh kick it for a minute can’t stay too long but yo definitely had to come on tonight because the Deon Williams trade is great news great news getting Cody Bellinger would be good news same with nle horer Tucker going to the Cubs blows though I’ll tell you that I will tell you that chat but I think we’re probably probably in agreement let’s see let’s pull you guys up holy we got 1K people in the chat let’s go godd damn don’t tell me a move happened while I was yapping away it’s like we got it’s like they acquired like Carlos K 10 minutes ago and I had no idea which yo I’ll still oh man we didn’t even talk about bregman bro we even talk about bregman which actually I think I’m going to go to just at the possibility of that I’m going to go to church I think on Sunday for the first time in years which I got to do anyways but yo I know I’m a fraud like Marcus strowman couldn’t stand him Alex fugo couldn’t stand him and they became Yankees and you know total 180 that’s what I do I don’t feel ashamed to say that yo like you couldn’t technically murder a family member mine and if you put them in pin stripes I’m not happy to admit it like I would root for you that’s just how I roll bregman’s going to be tough though chat bregman would be tough and there’s a couple things with Y people ask like oh why would you down for bregman and not Korea at least with Korea bro like they’re both villains they’re both villains and I don’t like Korea but man if we’re going to get a villain broke we at least get one that’s badass about it and not like I’m convinced bregman’s got a dead body in his closet to be honest or is like a closet serial killer there’s something off about him dude and I felt that way before the cheating scandal broke I want I’m just going to tell you guys now I’m not calling anybody dumb for thinking it because he’s a nice player I I get repulsed at the idea of it and also because yo we’re not even getting like Prime bregman so it’s I I get like I get a 116 WRC plus bregman to get over how much I hate him not even like the MVP candidate he used to be it does make sense from a player standpoint you know you you get him to play Third Base the defense is really good he is a nice hitter although isn’t he like very pull happy these days which you know Yankee Stadium is not that great hits a lot of balls I think to left Center and even the 318 down the line that stretches quick because how big center field is and doesn’t really go to the opposite field so short porch won’t take be taken advantage he’d be a nice player but what was I going to say um the Jazz thing about oh like a lot of times when I see bregman brought up as an option they’ll say and then you can move jazz back to second base and that’ll be like one of the first in the first sentence I’m talking about why you should sign bregman listen if you get a third baseman yeah you put Jazz at second base that makes sense work but you don’t get a third baseman to put Jazz at second I really I think differ on how a lot of people feel when it comes to Jazz’s defense my whole argument here won’t be stats but he was plus six outs above average at third base which surprised me too and I felt decent about jazz at third but if you want to throw it out the window fine I’ll have a separate argument for you what was a lot of the issues with jazz at third base to me it wasn’t so much anything to do with Talent certainly not the arm it was a lot more of like you know being properly lined up on like relays or cut off stuff or when he you know would straddle the bag at third base to make a tag like little things here and there would be off that amounted to you know it’s a pretty big comp Compound Effect over time like that does add up and can make a difference but you would have what Jazz to me falls under the blanket of or the category of he was thrown on the position on the Fly which he was so to me you give him a full offseason man I mean not only is he going to be sufficient I think he’s going to be terrific which again stats wise he technically already was so you don’t get a third baseman to move jazz a second base but if I had to pick my my my my choice between two god- awful people I want to say God awful people I think K might be a decent guy maybe with an edge bregman I told you I think he’s a serial killer we’ll find that out one day and I we’ll come on stream too when it comes out it’s quite an accusation to throw out huh but no you get my vibe kareah think I saw the graphic up here that I post on yank have just so you guys can see the stats but what’s enticing about him and we’re already talking former Astros so don’t don’t give me you know that we’re already in these weeds K is only uh signed for four years 3 $ million but if I’m taking on a third baseman that I used to hate this is my guy better offensively now of course he’s a short stop but I would move him to third be less taxing on his body but I don’t think that’s going to happen bregman is way more of a possibility I’m just good I’m good but yo we got a we got a Super Chat let me get to that really quick and uh I’m sure you guys want to talk some more bregman at some point but also uh who else too there was somebody else we had to talk about but William Chris my man how you doing bro send a $5 Super Chat says out of the main tip free agents link to the Yankees who do you think we sign next of the free agents uh well next move will be Bellinger’s going to be a yany at some point one way or another that’s at least how I feel so that’s the next move free agent if I had a guess if I had a guess I don’t think the yanes are signing Christian Walker would not rule it out but I don’t think they’re going to sign him but with that said yo with that said I’m keep talking about how if they get her and Bellinger they can’t afford Walker if they get Herer and Bellinger they certainly can’t afford bregman dude I don’t want to keep hounding the same point we need if we’re getting Bellinger we need the Cubs to pay something significant on that contract cuz you got to get I I was almost going to say like maybe we don’t sign the free like that can happen that can happen so I’m going to say I’m going to say if I had a guess to be honest I almost feel like bregman is the most likely and I’ll leave it at that of like the big guys let’s see uh gu lonard hope I’m saying your name right bro I’m sorry says how many home runs are rbi’s Nico Bellinger walker uh that’s a tough question man I’ll tell you Bellinger would be batting probably at least before Stan maybe even after judge if they I have him batting judge two if we do get Herer and Walker just from a balance perspective CU if you were to do judge two with Bellinger Herer and Walker added then you’d have Judge Stan Walker three righties all batting in a row and you can’t do that and some other things on the line out for you guys just to understand how my brain works here you may be wondering like why would you do Jason and head head of Wells you can’t back Jazz and Wells back to back I mean that is just you know unfortunately Lefty relievers exist so that can never happen and uh just from a balanc perspective but again I don’t know I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself let’s see how uh hey William another Super Chat my man says hey long time Dan question for you all the main free oh you asked that twice bro I’m sorry you didn’t have to do that thank you though so you send in two two super chats man I owe you one thank you uh Brandon says uh yo Dan love the offseason content dumb hypothetical question would you trade heel for a year Vlad if it was hypothetically available I would not but it’s not a dumb question because you know if that’s a dumb question then technically the fact that I would want to do it for Tucker would be dumb too I’m off Vlad and Tucker is way better than Vlad but like I be lying if I said I wouldn’t love him on the team right now we need a first baseman and he a damn good year last year he’s not going to get traded to the Yankees though so I wouldn’t get your hopes about that really at all I don’t think he’s going to get traded perod to be honest and uh I I think I could have lived with heel on the Astros something about him on the Blue Jays I don’t know like inner division would make it sing a little bit more but just from the value perspective n nah but fair question it’s not dumb but what else you guys thinking we got a few more minutes on here I might even crack open a Surf Side you know cuz we are we’re going to be chilling tonight chat actually we’re we’re married to the game chat we got a smoke show from Yankees Twitter coming over tonight wish me luck but we’re not getting Tucker at the deadline unfortunately I mean I am half kidding when I say that oh my phone died for what uh but also the Cubs dude I don’t know what they’re doing man they’re not going to get through the national league they’re probably not I me I guess they have a chance of winning their div Vision but even if you get in man you’re going all in for one year kle tuer I would get if it was multiple but uh no I don’t I don’t understand what they’re doing um but I’m also not trust me I’m not banking on getting Kyle Tucker at the deadline I am banking on getting him in free agency I am banking on getting him in free agency oh wait my phone didn’t die just was black for some reason they was trying to it was a cry for help cuz it is low what else you guys saying who’s a smoke show take a guess brother there’s only like four when Yankees Twitter no I’m playing actually there’s a bunch uh let’s see here um who would be a sneaky signing for the Yankees a sneaky signing I would say would be for them to possibly sign a starter believe it or not like not anything big but if they were to put money into a free agent that’s not one of the big big guys I would say it’s going to be a a one-year like you know actually I take that back I take that back that was more of a thought when I when I think I thought heel was going cuz strowman’s definitely going to go heel is staying now we’re not going to need to add a starter if they did trade heel for Kyle Tucker after trading Nester they you know they would still trade strowman then I think they would have signed like a a one-year $10 million starting pitcher out there that’s not going to happen any more so actually I take that back that was bad information like buer I would have loved ber that’s I mean he would have been a $1 million candidate but if we were in that market which again I’m taking that back that would have been a perfect option but now it’s nah the rotation is pretty much set Yanks are unfortunately done they’re not though done they’re not done longer Lord and I don’t understand why you say that what makes you say the Yankees are done unless you’re just being pessimistic which I don’t know get therapy or something thoughts on Alonzo Dan uh listen I mean I like Alonzo and I would sure take him on my team but why would you do that when you can just get Christian Walker assuming what the money Alonzo is going to get is going to be like not as much as he wants thought but probably still close to 30 m a year over five years I would assume maybe not that much I mean he might be beat but still Christian Walker you’d be able to get for much less and you know Alonzo is a better hitter but they’re close enough it’s marginal when you consider the contract so I I’d be okay off Alonzo and again we got to see what’s happening with this Bellinger stuff because Walker is better than Alonzo I wouldn’t say that Devonte I mean I still think pure hitter wise Alonzo Lonzo has the edge he had a down year last year but I know where you’re going with this Walker’s defense I mean if they are remotely close offensively Walker’s defense takes a cake so it’s not it’s not even crazy to say bats we need bats yeah let’s go back to the lineup over here so um again the lineups I have written out are ones with Cody Bellinger and n hoer and one and one with herner Bellinger and also Christian Walker I mean this lineup right here is if they were to do this this is the best lineup of the judge era I mean or excuse me not the best lineup of the judge era but would certify this is the best team of the judge era because at pitching that’s a lock that’s done we have the best rotation and to be honest like the way things are going to shape up like and of course with Deon Williams probably the best Bullpen of the judge ER to which that’s saying something so even if it’s not number one like even if you’re two in that category you’re doing all right or three for that matter what the lineup currently is though obviously is not this and if it’s this Bellinger and her without Walker again that’s enough to win the American League probably you don’t need Bellinger in hor to win the American League that’s not the point you got to be able to beat the Dodgers and I feel a little bit timid these days saying yo like all right we can just upgrade the deadline which is true I’ve said that a lot said that a lot and I don’t want to just Bank on the like you know leave a spot open because that way you know not leave a spot open for that reason but don’t stress about it because there’s a deadline unless they’re getting Kyle Tucker the deadline or even just going the the Yanke recent history and just how they operate deadlines like how often do they get that big piece I mean jazz is probably the biggest if I’m not mistaken CH I might be off here I’m just off the top of my head like jazz is probably the biggest deadline piece offensively of the judge era no Edward and koson would be number one but that was a June tree I mean we can count that right you know what I’m saying so I don’t want to bank on that get the team ready to go for opening day they’re just going to have to figure out how they’re going to do that if they’re taking on a lot of money with Bellinger glaber Gaber I’ll tell you I don’t even know he’s down to come back now I’m sure he is but it does seem like that bridge to a degree was burned about a month ago when he like wiped his Instagram clean of all Yankee stuff and just seemed to be like officially closed in that chapter if he’s hoping to come back I mean this is the highest of a percentage chance I think it’s ever been I would say like maybe 10% chance but uh another notable thing from the Williams trade with you know talking about Caleb Durban it obviously wasn’t true or maybe it was but Deon or excuse me Caleb deran is supposed to be our second basement open day we are currently without a second basement we kind of already had been but there’s not even like a presumptive candidate anymore unless you’re going with like DJ lahu so there’s an even bigger hole there now I don’t know what kind of money glaber would need it would have to be on a one-year deal maybe similar to what he got last year and the only way I see that actually happening from a market perspective is if the other options he has which will be multi-year offers nothing crazy but but I think laer could probably get 50 mil in free agency over like 3 years or something if it’s just with very like undesirable teams like the Oakland A’s or something like that to where all right do I want to take 50 mil guaranteed over three years to play somewhere shitty or in the theoretical World theoretical world that the Yankees offer him a one-year deal I mean the player he was second half last year if he feels confident he can come close to that over full season he’s going to get if GL were to be close to what he was in the second half over full season he’ll get close to $100 million in free agency next year and no matter what whatever deal he signs we’ll have an opt out after one so he’s kind of still on short-term Vibes anyways so if the Yankees were to flirt in that world again and they could because remember Brian Cashman the other day on hot stove he did mention when talking about second base said glaver TS is still a free agent like mentioning him as an option uh and that’s not a like a tamper not a tampering thing but you know how you can’t say you’re not in on a free agent but he wasn’t asked about it he just brought him up so maybe maybe I’m definitely down cuz then you know now in this case we wouldn’t get Herer but it would sve lead off which is something we’ve been talking about all off season long and the only reason really why I’m been like starting to be cool with the idea of her which the only reason I will really wasn’t was because of the money and I still don’t like the money but you give me a leadoff guy and I’m like all right finally Dan Kel Marte would be a crazy good trade that would be good I don’t think the Dbacks trade him but I think I think dton was saying he might be available I feel like I was talking to somebody about Kel Marte lately Do’s obviously you know John Boy dbck fan my boy uh I’m glad Yankees didn’t overpay for SoDo yes I always have to preface this like yo I was on my hands and knees for this guy last week so I don’t want to be fake about it but two things one I generally am having a blast this off season like with being able to just get a bunch of moves I mean this is like the most like I don’t know the most Brian Cas was able to like craft a team in a long time and I’m enjoying it so far at least more so from it’s like I don’t know corny ass like ex-girlfriend talk or something but like you find out your ex-girlfriend’s a hoe you’re kind of like oh well was for the better anyways I didn’t really want to be with them not a personal experience chat but you know what I’m saying yo like I don’t want to get all like corny cuz we don’t know we don’t really know that much about the ins and outs of what went down maybe Soo like isn’t who he thought he was and I don’t mean anything to do with him the player although he’s certainly looking obese that’s something to watch but it is very very curious why no Yankee reached out to him after the playoffs and apparently he changed his number too which kind of makes him look like a but even so I mean come on it doesn’t like there’s so many other ways like the Yankees definitely could have been able to reach out to him like players on the team social media whatever and he said he changed his number like after the play so at no point before he changed his number like what he said was he hasn’t spoken to anybody so forget it from a standpoint of recruiting if you’re judge like why didn’t judge speak to him why didn’t he want him back maybe that is what it is I don’t he didn’t want him back like maybe they weren’t best friends and he didn’t Jael in the clubhouse as well as we thought not that there was an issue like maybe they just didn’t love him doesn’t mean they didn’t like him but maybe just didn’t love him it was just like he’s really good I don’t know I don’t know so I’ll say at the very least I’m just I’m wondering I’m wondering about what went down there hopefully one day we find out cuz part of that makes me feel like you know maybe this is how it was we supposed to be and that was a little bit of cope that was a little bit of cat but going back to my first point about why I hear what you’re saying glad stto left I don’t want to put those words in writing but from a excitement standpoint on the offseason like this is a blast being able to spread all this money around and another thing man another thing and I meant to play this on the stream last time or I just was regretful that I didn’t I’m going to play it now it makes you appreciate judge it makes you appreciate the guys again going back what I said before about like jazz or whoever or Nester like or Leisa like guys that appreciate being a Yankee we said this last week or the other day don’t all of a sudden think that nobody wants to be a Yankee anymore not everybody does it just it just means we should appreciate the ones that do and there’s still plenty of those and I want to play this video of Judge you’ve probably all seen it by now I’ve posted like everywhere but uh I just want to play this clip of when judge got introduced after resigning with us in 2022 and for those who don’t know he turned down less money to stay here Padre’s offered him $45 million and uh he declined it to stay with us which do the math that’s $65 million difference or yeah right 65 whatever it is uh to stay with us and um he mentions his legacy and I didn’t even realize till like the second or third time watching this that like judge was crying in this in this clip uh hold on I got to make sure I can hear it too don’t be selfish now Chad don’t be freaking selfish around me all right here we go this is Judge 2022 press conference uh first off you know I want to you know thank Mr Stein Brer and the Stein Brer family and the whole Yankees organiz ation for uh you know believing in me you know the past 6 years and getting a chance to continue you know something the Yankees you know are so big on which is Legacy you know continue you get a chance to continue my legacy here in Pinstripes you know in the you know best city in the world the best baseball City in the front of the best fans this is um an incredible honor like that man and again you got same for you it always meant something to us you could tell who appreciated being a Yankee and those who knew what it meant to be a Yankee tell you though man if there’s another Silver Lining from Soto leaving it’s being able to watch that and realizing yo like this is me saying this so like this is my whole tagline appreciate judge appreciate judge I’m telling myself now bro appreciate judge I mean I watch that clip bro it almost makes me te OD seeing that like judge knew he was a Yankee for whatever reason stto didn’t feel that way and yo like he was that ass thank you to the fans yesterday I mean come on man and not so much the fact that he said it CU of course he got to but he mentioned at the end like it’s a shame we couldn’t work something out yeah it is a shame pal like what do you mean we if you wanted to work something out bro we offered you $760 million but n yo like I want to watch it again this is our captain first off you know I want to this our Captain here Ste and the Stein Brer family and the whole Yankees organization turn down $65 million less to stay with us in me you know the past six years and continue here you know something the Yankees you know are so big on which is Legacy you know continue get a chance to continue my legacy here in Pinstripes you know in the you know best city in the world the best baseball City in the front of the best fans this is uh an incredible honor like say what you will about him chat and you can like trust me I know like there’s a re I got to call him the greatest regular season hitter of all time now for now like I get it playoffs I understand say what you will about him bro he wanted to be here he wanted to be a Yankee and who knew that meant something as much as it did but it does he’s our Captain I love him to death $55 million left my bad my bad my math was off on that and I just had my first start of the show chat which means we should probably get the hell out of here yo Corin Burns nah no Corin Burns uh please Andrew or please answer Andrew nevan’s question questions sign tantana for a Bridger vlat oras trade to bat lead off oras uh I mean to lead off I mean sure but his defense is really bad he’s not very athletic no I’m good off a rise uh Santana I never liked Santana even when it was being discussed like as the first Bas to sign if we brought stto back I was like H I don’t know I feel even worse about it now but to be honest it’s not unlikely whatsoever I would say it’s more likely than Christian Walker at this point which I hate saying because I’m kind of wondering what’s going to go on here with like the post Bellinger trade which hasn’t happened yet but I think it’s going to what’s going to happen with that cuz cuz if they’re trying to again trying to sa their Co tax you don’t really have enough after acquiring Bellinger full money and if you get Herer in that deal who’s making 11 mil to get a first baseman like a sign a legit first baseman that said and we’re going to get out of here but with that said that’s assuming they’re staying under the 301 coax which I think they are so we shouldn’t get our hopes out that they’re not but yeah uh I think we’re going get out of here yo I think we’re get out of here uh but remember there’s a lot there’s more to come I mean the Bellinger still hasn’t happened yet and I’m assuming probably know that that falls through like the Cubs don’t come down on eating that money which is the case right now man I mean the Yankees what’s holding this up is they don’t want to pay down that salary if they don’t come off of that and maybe as that you know goes on and on you know they got Tucker they decide to keep him I don’t know for all we know this doesn’t happen I think it will it seems pretty likely maybe it doesn’t and if if not yo then everything changes cuz the whole outlook on the offseason is different so I would still you know assume this is probably going to happen got to see the details of it but Yanks are in bregman and they’re technically still on Christian Walker but we’ll see what the deal is I’m yapping at this point useless information keeping this going just for the sake of keeping it freaking going uh but yeah love you guys to death appreciate you so much for being here if you could uh drop a like on the way out I would appreciate that and uh subscribe if you’re new we’ll be back on let’s see well it’s Friday by the way so everybody yo kick it have a good time even if you’re working tomorrow which I’m
