[Music] Christmas is coming and Newcastle are coming to town I could have gone into my Michael Bolton voice there but maybe I’ve got one vague similarity with Michael Bolton and let’s not even go there welcome to Blue Monday anip stre toown podcast this is the pre-match show for the Bobby Robson Derby it’s IP switch versus newcast [Applause] [Music] [Music] desire [Music] desire well everything kind of changed a bit with a very very very very late winner at the weekend said we dealt with it on the um on the flagship show in my mind the complexion of this fixture completely changed with that win and also with a yellow card for Liam DEET but we’ll get on to that um just talk to me about wolves and then we’ll set up Newcastle and good evening and welcome absolutely brilliant away Day scenes as the kids say limbs in the away and obviously at the whatever it was the 90 94th minute and like you say I think it does change the complexion of this upcoming game because me and Rich debated did last weekend you know we said with what’s to come after wolves you know Newcastle Arsenal Chelsea then you get into January and you’ve got Fulham Liverpool Man City Brighton the fix just was starting to look a little bit daunting so yeah huge huge win last weekend absolutely brilliant away they brilliant moment so far in the season and it does take a little bit of the pressure off this one I would suggest because this is the easiest of the three Christmas games but it’s still a still a pretty tough one but last week’s last minute winner does uh does make it a bit more a bit more Rosy doesn’t it what do you think of this link between IPS rich and Newcastle because of Bobby Robson I know some people are funny about it and quickly bark back well he had the best year years of his career here and kind of left as a left as a hero whereas um saob obviously did get sacked up at um Newcastle but I mean let’s be fair there is no more loved figure in football period is there so whichever Club he goes to but I think um because we played the um not long after um s Bob’s passing did we if I remember correctly um there has been a little bit of a link what what’s your sort of um um let us know in the comments your thoughts on that what’s your sort of feeling on the um on the synchronicity between the clubs I like it I like I like the link you know like you said there’s no more universally loved footballing figure is there than than saabi Robson it does help like you say we played them off in that Roy King game we gave an awful account to ourselves is it 4-0 at halim or something on Kevin Nolan got a hattick or Andy Carol or someone I can’t remember yeah I think it was Kevin Nolan yeah that awful winless run at the start of the the Roy King kind of era of his first full season in charge but I like the fact it’s got that link between the two you know obviously like you say he was a an absolute you know Top Class gentleman I the privilege of of of interviewing him once and I did a bit of work experience at radio suffk and he was as lovely as you could possibly imagine him so yeah I’m all for the for the link up any reason to have fans like us you know discuss him and and be able to kind of you know talk stories to the younger generation who who might not know the great achievements he made at the club I think it’s a great thing I had a naughty plug for my channel I was privileged enough Seb to walk from one end of the bster brook hotel to the other on my own with Bobby Robson um before the Marcus Stewart game in 2001 or 200 whichever um and I tell that story on there I’ve told it many many times but what an absolute privilege that was and yeah when you talk about just Charisma just oozing out of every poror of that guy’s body but anyway I didn’t think it’d be long until we got into um sa Bobby um the great link between uh these two clubs um get involved in the comments as ever guys if you are here watching live we really really appreciate it I know a lot of you would have been sent out you were going around Morrison or Tesco tonight doing the last bits of Christmas shopping or to one of those evil retail parks that are completely round full even though it’s 8:00 p.m. on a Thursday we appreciate if you’re listening after the fact if you’re traveling into the game if you’re a Newcastle fan tuning in as well massive massive welcome give us a thumbs up a five star review Seb really really helps on Spotify used to say iTunes didn’t we on on Spotify um now get those five star reviews in uh before we get to this Seb um any news rumbling around um is toown wise or Premier League wise a very quite weak uh week really isn’t it I must mention the uh the itfc fans supporting food banks the Newcastle game is the December collection game uh midday until half past 2 both in the fan Zone and opposite Planet blue if you popped to itfc FSF on Twitter or X they’ll give you a list of recommended items and bear in mind the time of year warm weather clothing is greatly appreciated as well those guys do fantastic work so if you can help out prematch please do so and check out their their Twitter page for all the details apart from that of quite weak in terms of uh in terms of news I guess we’ve had things that aren’t itfc directly linked but things that may affect us we’ve had wolves appoint a new manager today that’s been confirmed and we’ve had the Everton takeover go through so we were discussing the Green Room we weren’t sure what the the odds were for Shawn dice to become the next manager to move on from the premier league but two things there that could impact our season OB Gary O’Neal departing wolves after our win last weekend and the other thing’s been rumbling on for a few months but it’s finally been stamped signed and sealed so what are your thoughts on those two to manager new manager bounce for wolves and do you think Everton make a change or do they just get in see it steady for the rest of the season and then look to change in the Summer with the stadium move well I’ll fire wolves back to you because I got to talk about that a bit on Sunday I’m honestly quite pleased it’s not David Moyes or I don’t know someone who just is gonna immediately turn up and start them scoring points because they’ve managed 7,000 games in the in the Premier League I agreed with Joe’s take as well that they are inclined these Premier League clubs just parachuting some guy you know that I’m sure the um con of sers in the chat have heard of but just you know work a day Portuguese manager in in Saudi i’ would have been more scared if it was if it was Moyes what’s your take exactly the same I was dreading Moyes going there because they they were to more more to more more towards the more direct style of football I thought if he goes in there he might be able to get a tune out of them with the big guy up front and you know that that was my fear they would start scrapping for points but to a point an unknown in Premier League standards I think he was in the running for the Everton job but for whatever reason they didn’t seem to want him a little while ago so to me it seems a a big big risk I guess we’re hoping it’s one of those Basket Case three manager clubs now we’re hoping we’re hoping he can’t settle at all and come February we’re sat here again talking about another managerial appointment hopefully it’s it’s one of those ones um and the Everton one what’s your thoughts on that I think they will stick with dce to guarantee that the first game game in that new stadium is going to be a Premier League game because he’ll keep you up he’s out of contract in the summer apparently you can then do a successful mission accomplished parting of the ways um and they can start their new era with their new spending Etc appoint a new manager from a position of strength going into the new stadium i’ I’d be surprised if they kind of threw it all out with you know them in a relatively precarious position given they’ve got pretty much a a survival expert at the helm already do you think that’s fair or do you think I’m wider the mark on that one H I think it’s sensible what you said but these are Premier League owners um I don’t think they want him um that’s just my kind of sense so there’s almost this sense of you’re almost better off immediately doing it now and just it’s just unfair and you know you just happen to be the the wrong guy in the wrong place when we took over because then you’re right sbly transfer window in two weeks or whatever so my my take’s always been you know if you’re going through the transfer window with a manager it’s hard to ask you know you really are looking for a big Sam type bump after that just different manager same players new message or whatever and but yeah I mean what you say makes sense but if they if they’re if they’re not going to go forward with Shawn Dice and I’m not in no on this I just feel that they that they won’t be then what what are you waiting for would you agree it seemed like the Wolves one worked out pretty perfectly for us that they kind of held on slightly too long got some more bad results and the cig Gras the last one was a was a game ST so you can kind of HED your bets a bit too long can’t you very much so yeah I think was it El sakio the Wolves West Ham game was kind of coined the Monday night before we played them last week and we saw it fulltime you know second game on the bounce the players are are fighting and he kind of threw the players under the bus in the postmatch didn’t he um so it was clearly wasn’t a uh not a happy home life should we say but we got the benefit of uh of of that one certainly um and I guess yeah it’ be interesting to see I guess the the the new owners will be ambitious I think they appointed Mourinho pretty quickly when they took over at Roma and he delived the European trophy so they will be ambitious it’s just a case of you know do they stick or do they twist be interesting to see is is Jay in work at the moment he is he’s still in I think he’s falling out with quite a lot of people in in Turkey but he’s still in turkey at fener Bach isn’t he so but didn’t he say he wants his next Club to be a non a non- European competing side because he’d fallen out with one of the referees in in Europe or something so maybe that will tick the Box they did fire him at Roma so I don’t know if it was an amicable parting of the ways but um yeah but would you be that surprised if if Mr Mourinho rocked up at the brand new everon stadium in the not future I’m not sure i’ would be too surprised no um yeah we’ll um yeah we’ll hold that for until um next season get your thoughts in uh via the comments then on um Everton and wolves and whether that affects us I know we’ll get comments Seb saying look score your 35 points and then worry what everybody else is doing yeah exactly right yeah you can only take care of yourselves last week was a huge Victory a huge boost we’re we’re now closer 12 points getting there slowly but surely and yeah you know shout out the exterior noise look after yourselves and you haven’t got to worry about it you don’t but you have got to worry about Newcastle United um Seb people my age actually quite like Newcastle because talking about a charismatic manager because of Kevin Keegan basically and a just a beloved team up and down the country that was um a bit like the England national team a kind of Glorious failure ultimately they would never never actually won anything despite um having the title in the in the um palm of their hands and the return of the world record Superstar Striker and David jinel and Philip Al bear and Peter Beardsley and yeah so um I’ve got good memories of Newcastle although Newcastle fans have probably have recent memories of Joey Barton big Sam and Mike Ashley weren’t they yeah very much so they were ever on second favorite team in the kind of mid to late 90s weren’t they because they were the ones that looked like they could kind of take on Ferguson and stop the The Man United winning everything kind of year after year and the football they played was absolutely brilliant and I think me and Richard discussed this in the past on the Pod we kind of file clubs in our intros for the opposition under the term proper clubs we gave that term to Villa we gave it to Everton I think you and me might have given it to Forest yeah a couple of weeks ago and Newcastle another one aren’t they a proper Club yes they’ve had poor ownership they’ve been down at a championship level a couple of times in the last kind of 15 years or so it’s a great City it’s a great fan base it’s a big Stadium not as big as it perhaps was kind of a few years ago before the the raft of new ones arrived but yeah proper footballing Club very much people’s kind of favorites in the in the mid to late 90s suffered a lot under under the Mike Ashley rule in terms of you know cost cutting and and onfield performances and yeah it looks like they’re kind of trying to find their their way back is it fair for me to say that the the the the Saudi project is stuttering a little bit you know it’s their third full season now and are they one of these clubs that are just kind of stuck a little bit at the moment given the current Financial rulings what do you think on that one well could you not argue that if they like had a fiveyear plan or a three-year plan that they probably went ahead of in front of themselves didn’t they did they finish like fourth or something in the very first season when if they’d finished eighth everyone would have said oh great you know build on that I do think and I know we talk about ffp and finances a lot Seb they’re another team and right the way down our stupid pyramid with its ridiculous distributions that I moan about all the time whichever Cliff Edge your is the next one you want to climb up like for us we now want to go from um one year of Premier League money and potentially two years of parachute money to regular Premier League money and it looks like this massive Cliff to climb at the top Newcastle want to go from regular Premier League money to Champions League money don’t they and that seems insurmountable and despite the fact they’ve traded pretty well um it still looks like they’re going to have to sell to stay on the right side of ffp or just um as we see some clubs do just take the hit take a take a minus and you know gamble on getting back getting back in there but it’s also I don’t know what the stats I don’t know if anyone’s got them in the comments it’s quite hard we’ll see how Villa do this year it’s quite hard for teams that are traditionally not in the Champions League they tend to bot them out a bit when they get in there the first season it tends to kind of suck the wind out of the Sals and not only do they not get through in the Champions League they then fall out again so I think there’s a bit of a bit of that rather than but to to your point I get is that stuttering I guess so what’s your take I think he nailed it I think if they’d got the two seasons the other way round no one would be kind of having this conversation they finished fourth in kind of Eddie how’s First full season got Champions League qualification and then last season they finished seventh they did have a horrendous injury kind of record last year um but flip that round you know save from relegation finish seventh you miss out on Europe because Man United win a cup final those things can happen uh then finish fourth the next season and everyone said it’s a brilliant journey and progression and you’re doing really really well and and I think the fact that they’ve kind of gone backwards year on Year yes they had the Champions League football which like you say does clearly affect sides I mean go back to 20012 look at us playing on a Thursday night and then a Sunday you know we couldn’t really recover until we were out of the UEFA cup and then you factor in the off field kind of ownership um the executives have left you know Amanda stavley was a big part of the the purchase she’s moved on so it feels like Eddie how might have lost a couple of allies in the back room team Dan Ashworth kind of was put on gardening leave went to man united is now left man united so it does kind of feel May Southgate leaving as well was was an issue wasn’t it yeah so maybe you’ve got this issue whereby kind of you know the onfield performances are going a little bit backwards there’s a bit of more in the executive positions um and perhaps they’re not you know they’re not kicking on as they want to like you said because of ffp we’ll discuss their their financial dealings and their transfer dealings shortly but it sounds like they were pretty flying pretty close to the Sun last summer and it was one of these two Club kind of Windows where you have the June 30th deadline for ffp and then you have the normal end of August deadline they had to sell some assets sell some homegrown players to balance the books and I think Eddie House come out again today and said we’re going to have to sell in January if we want to buy so it seems crazy you know a club with the the vast financial resources of of of Newcastle having to sell to buy to compete with other clubs but it’s the ffp world we live in isn’t it that’s the deal I don’t want to sound like pep and um actually quite like to sound like pep is a genius but um no in terms of the moaning about the fixtures when these clubs have got the best goods and the best money but it is ridiculous when I know we kind of love the efl and the three game weeks and the Saturday Tuesday if you’re in the Champions League have you seen those Club schedules it’s literally from September through to December you play weekend midweek like every week when you factor in a like a efl cup game or or two as well so I do I do kind of get it um are they any good then Seb please say no they’re currently I’ll give you some crumbs of com for this evening they’re currently sat 12th with 23 points they’re Five Points off the Champions League spots which presumably is their target for the season played 15 um 112 dra sorry played no ignore me I’ve got my stats completely wrong on that one they are anyway they’re 12th in the league they’re 12th are big chances created with 37 but they’re not scoring enough goals this season Alexander isach we’ll discuss him later on he hasn’t really got going to the extent he did the last couple of years and as a result they are struggling for goals scored they scored 23 which is mid-table it’s it’s it’s the 12th best in the league they are Mis however at the back they are sixth for goals conceded sixth Fest for goals conceded they were on a bit of a sticky run of form until uh uh paid a trip to to Leicester and rud vanis who came to town last weekend they won 4-nil that was their only win in the last five they had two draws Liverpool and Crystal Palace the Liverpool game was crazy a three3 draw they were ahead they were behind and then a very late kind of equalizer from Fabian Sher and two defeats brenford uh last time out I think it was 4-2 in the end wasn’t it um and a surprising one West Ham at went up to St James’s Park and got a win there this seems to be one of their issues they do seem to be struggling against sides in the bottom half of the table the games against the sides in the lower half they average 0.9 points per game the sides in the top half of the table they average 1.6 they’ve beaten Man City uh so they drew with Man City they’ve beaten Arsenal they’ve drawn with Liverpool so they seem to be doing really well against the sides kind of in the top half but really struggling to get points against the sides in the lower half and they’re the ones that you’re gonna have to beat pretty routinely if you’ve got designs on on Champions League kind of spots their away form isn’t great nine points from eight games 13th in the league played eight one two drawn three and lost three scored 11 goals on their travels conceded 13 so they do concede goals on the road they’ve only won one out of the last five away away at Forest two draws Crystal Palace and Everton and two defeats brenford and Chelsea so yeah it’s this weird thing where they are perfectly decent against the sides in the top half of the table but they do seem to struggle is it a pressure thing maybe is it a psychological thing getting themselves kind of up for the for the ties when they’re playing sides they should beat for example games against brenford Crystal Palace and West Ham returned two points for them which you know that’s that can’t happen if you’ve got designs on the top four I would suggest do you think the door is open for these Champions League um spots because I suppose Chelsea are taking one aren’t they they’re probably a surprise Liverpool Arsenal will be and then you’d imagine Man City aren’t going to stay fifth forever are they so I don’t know it feels like maybe Chelsea have stolen a march on Newcastle when you look at Villa down in seventh and like Spurs a 10th Man United a 13th it feels like there’s a few underachieving teams in that bracket of clubs like Newcastle who like you suggested would have said well a really good season for us as we get in the Champions League yeah I think they’re in a shootout for that fourth one aren’t they I don’t know if we it could go to Five this year again couldn’t it but let’s assume it’s still only going to be the four spots three are gone I think I think Arsenal Liverpool and Chelsea have got the three of them completely sewn up and then like you say you would assume that it sounds crazy to be saying this you would assume Man City would recover this disasterous ront of foreman and close in on Fourth and if not it becomes a a straight shootout between kind of Spurs and you know if United can get themselves going um and Newcastle and maybe Villa if they if they were to go out I know they’re going to qualify from the to the next stage of the champions league but if they were to make an exit in February they might put a run of form together um and that has to be their their kind of designs I think at the very least they’ve got to get Europa League or Europa conference leag I think they’ve got to get European football given the need to grow their revenues to kind of bolster the the ffp PO and what do you what do you think a good season looks like for them they’re through to the semis aren’t they of The League Cup after beating brenford 3-1 last night so do you think a League Cup win but missing out on European football given they are absolutely craving a trophy up there they’ not want a major trophy since 1955 do you think that’s a good enough season for them a little bit of silverware I think that’s a good season they get they get the silverware okay they miss out on Europe but it’s a chance to then kind of you know kind of grow grow from there do you think that’s a decent season for Eddie H I think for any of your quote proper clubs a trophy trumps you know finish where did we finish in 1978 everybody in the chat fairly well down the table didn’t we but a trophy a trophy trumps everything um doesn’t it so I just feel when you see Nottingham Forest fourth and Bournemouth in Sixth and Fulham in eth I think that Newcastle fans would consider hang on a minute hang on hang on we we would we would have expected to be um above those guys um what is your take on Eddie how because I’m a little bit conflicted I know you and Richard like to slander and disrespect the wonderful club that is Bournemouth um but he was really good at Bournemouth wasn’t he and um you know sort of played pretty decent football I know everyone’s kind of like Plucky little bomb of spending a ton of money in the in the efl but they’re really good in the Premier League under there under how weren’t they and then I think he did the Gordon Sten trick of timing his um time away really really well and I think it was I think I remember Simon Jordan saying it that he was probably a bit very much in the right place he was probably the best manager Newcastle could have got to start their thing before they can get Carlo ancelotti in a few years time or or whoever so I think he’s good and he’s still pretty young isn’t he but I’m not not I don’t know I don’t know how how good he is he’s certainly not as highly rated as he was when you know Bournemouth were really punching for a few years in that in that first run in the Premier League are you as conflicted as me a little bit it’s hard to gauge isn’t it obviously did a phenomenal job at Bournemouth across two seasons took them from League 2 to the Premier League established them I guess the accusation you might label at him is that he didn’t really learn how to defend properly did he you know his sides would always concede a lot of goals and not to Russell Martin levels of stubborn but you know he would he would not change the way they kind of poor gu been fired now surely I know but we great to one little executive order here as the founder of the Blue Monday podcast that that poor man is left alone now until he’s in a job again anyway so he continues I won’t mention him again I promise um so yeah I think it’s hard to gauge it I think if we were sat here as we as we said earlier and the seasons were flipped if we discussed a Seventh Place finish to a fourth place finished I think we’d be saying yeah you know he’s really looking to to move the club on doing well but it’s just the fact they’ve gone backwards a little bit makes it a little bit harder to kind of gauge I was surprised there was no England approach if things are to be believed after you know Mr Southgate departed after the euros and they Eddie how was asked outright and he said nope I wasn’t spoken to we don’t know if that’s true obviously they said interviewed 12 people how was he not appar so and if he if he’s not on the list that’s that’s crazy isn’t it not having on the list seems absolutely bizarre maybe it was a firm you know rebuttal before they they got to the interview stage but it seems strange he wasn’t Paul Lambert was apparently on on the list so Eddie how can consider himself unlucky maybe he should have M maybe he should have played at massive clubs did a great job when he first came in he was appointed manager a month after the Takeover went through Steve Bruce was in charge they quickly moved him on Eddie how was appointed they were five points at drift in the relegation zone so it was a bit of a chance to go there because you know they they did spend relatively big in that first window you know Kieran tripier uh Bruno gimmer they all arrived but it was a it was a risk to go there I think he’s been out football for 18 months at that point you know we saw him pop up Athletico didn’t we are learning under under Diego Simone and stuff he’d appear every now and again maybe a bit of media work and then 18 months after leaving bourou he suddenly gets a gig and yeah did well when he took over they finished 11th then he progresses them to Fourth and suddenly you know his star is rising but has just drifted back a little bit and I don’t know if if if we’ve been sat here before the cup semi the cup quarterfinal win and last weekend’s 4-nil Victory I think I’d be saying something didn’t quite seem right because of there’s clearly friction with the director of football that’s been made public you know danth moved on Paul Mitchell’s come in um he’s been open about that and said you know about what what’s Paul Mitchell’s background do you know no I don’t know to be honest I’ll have a look where you’re talking yeah he’s coming in and I I think didn’t he question the recruitment when he first took over and I think Eddie how took that as a bit of a a personal affront according to the reports because he was heavily involved in the recruitment setup uh when Dan Ash when Dan Ashworth was uh was there and they kind of had this onoff Saga all summer with Mark Gay here clearly he was a major Target for them for whatever reason be it Financial ffp whatever they couldn’t get the deal done and I think think that kind of didn’t sit well with how so there’s clearly some friction there as I said earlier he’s lost his allies in Amanda stavely she she’s kind of moved on um so something didn’t feel quite right but this is football like we said with the Wolves game you know a couple of good results suddenly everything changes and that’s what they’ve had they’ve they they’ve won 4-nil last weekend very convincingly against Leicester and they are through to the uh semi-finals of the caring cup and suddenly everything is Rosy again Paul Mitchell MK Southampton Tottenham RB leig Monaco Newcastle so and he’s been doing this um sporting director job a long time pretty much as you know since it’s been day regar and fashionable to um to sort of have one so um yeah interested that you um interested you say that never tends to go one way um so you mentioned the um game against Leicester is that is that a bit of an out outlier Joe pointed out that Leicester conceded like 76 shots in three games or something absurd or is it just the game that that they needed or are you g to pay more attention to this efl cup game this past um midweek well they went full strength last night recording this on this is OB going out on on a Thursday we played last night 3-1 victory over brenford went completely full strength I was interested when the team landed I thought will there be a little bit of rotation but like you said earlier proper clubs need trophy so they pretty much went full all strength Joel Lon is suspended for the game at the weekend with five yellows but if the other 10 players were what March out at Portman Road at 255 on Saturday I wouldn’t be surprised at all it was very very much this is our first 11 the Leicester game yeah the 4-nil victory they they had 27 shots on that game as well you know they they Leicester for for all their you know all their plaudits under rud van nistroy are very open it would appear and considering a lot of shots and newcastle’s XG was 3.79 to n.1 n so it was clearly a a well-deserved welld deserved Victory and um and yeah I think they picked Leicester probably at a good time you know they had the Manu manager bounce they leester beat somebody I can’t remember who it was they got the fight back against Brighton back to 22 um and you tend to see those things kind of level out now a little bit and I think the cup the cup win last night was was encouraging for them 3-1 Victory and they hit the woodwork twice so it looks like they’ve kind of turned around that sticky Runner form right should we get into the um get into the details with um who we expecting to be facing and um you know you mentioned the the team popping out at 255 who you sort of expecting it to be sir yeah if you want to share the the screen of all the the Monday Night Football ripoff that we do so this was their average player positions against Leicester last time out I Didn’t Do It For The Cup game uh last night this is Leicester last time out so it’s always a 4-33 formation a slight variation on the 4231 we normally see at this level um and as you’ll see here so Sandro tanali the central midfielders start they’ve had a little bit of a tweak in recent weeks tali’s started playing slightly deeper he now plays is the the six if you want to be a football hipster and use numbers instead of positions and that’s kind of freed up Bruno gim to move slightly further forward so the on the screen right now you are currently looking at their average player positions uh for the game against Leicester and if I do my normal you will see them all move around now what’s interesting normally when I do this in the first button that I click all the defense kind of move around but this time they’re pretty well disciplined as you’ll see the only person that really moves is liento Fabian Shaw Dan burn and Lewis Hall the left back they pretty much they’re average positions were tying in with their with their heat Maps where they touched the ball they didn’t really move from those positions livero drops slightly deeper to support them the three midfielders then I find very interesting so Bruno gimash uh Sandra tanali and Joel Linton they kind of create this wall in the center of the park which allows the two Wingers then to push really high so Jacob Murphy ex Norwich got two goals against Leicester Anthony Gordon who five from the highlights I saw as well yeah very much so they will go high and they will go wide and then Alexander esack will kind of loiter around the edge of the Box oop sorry around the edge of the box to try and pick up the the cutbacks but it was the it was the kind of the Midfield wall that impressed me Garay Tali and jinton they are very much a high pressing team and those three there kind of create this barrier I presume to keep recycling the ball it looks to me like that’s going to be like your you know kind of your mid block to kind of pick the ball up ping it out to the wings and then look for the the cutbacks into esac what I did notice that does do is potentially you leave a big gap of space here between those three Central midfielders and the two uh Center halfes which you’d like to think our attacking players could exploit but yeah the key message from this is the two Wingers the two attacking players in the 4-33 Murphy uh and Gordon who I presume will be the same with the weekend they will go wide and they will go high so if Joe linton’s not around then Seb who who kind of fills in that spot well Matty longstaff was I think he was suspended for the cup game last night so he he couldn’t but I assume he’s probably the most like for like uh replacement I I assume he’ll be the one to to come back in they they didn’t really boost of that Central Midfield position in in the summer transfer window so they got Tali back he had the the betting um indiscretions that he was banned for pretty much the whole of last season so I guess you could say he’s kind of like a new signing Lewis Hall was filling in there a little bit last season but he’s moved on and really made the left back position his own this year he was a Al loan from Chelsea last year has been made permanent this summer uh but he’s certainly made the um the left back position his own so the the three in central Midfield I’d imagine will be Bruno gimmer the captain he’s been appointed the captain this summer in place of Kieran tripier um mattity longstaff I think will probably come in um and he’ll provide energy and boxto boox and then it’ll be Sandro Tali kind of sitting in that deeper lying playmaker orchestrator role that’s that’s what I would imagine they would do um they’re pretty high for pressing intensity they’re not overly possession heavy 50% possession is the 11th uh highest or or well ninth lowest in the league uh they don’t take that many shots 14 shots taken per game is 10th only four shots on target is the fourth fewest in the division they can be open at times I said they haven’t conceded many goals but they do seem to give chances to the opposition 14 shots conceded per game is the seventh highest uh a threat from set pieces as you’d expect Dan burn is six foot seven Joel lon’s not playing but he’s an absolute unit as well uh five goals from set pieces is the joint fourth highest um and they are seventh for touches in the opposition box so they do like to get forward I just think they are underperforming on their on their their goal return this season that’s what’s kind of hold them back the last couple years sorry this season compared to the last couple years I don’t want to do that thing where we realize how many good players all Premier League teams have’ got but who who you thinking for key players obviously Anthony Gordon’s one with our England hats on that sticks out who else very much so Anthony Gordon three goals two assists very quick like I say in the graphic will stay high and wide he is eighth in the division for chances created with 33 the main kind of uh Supply Route who be looking to find is Alexander esack seven goals four assists like I said not quite been as prolific as the last two seasons missed seven big chances he will drift he’ll drift left and drift right to kind of pick the ball up uh but he’s the one be looking to get on the the end of things Bruno gimmer box-to-box midfielder 66 touches per game which is about 10 more than Mr Mory that gives you an idea of how much he’ll be involved in the Midfield battle he’s the top player in the league for Jules one with 120 Sandra tanali scored twice against brenford in midweek um as I mentioned Dan burn and Fabian sha already they’re likely to be the center halfs Sven Fen Bachman’s been out since March with an ACL he’s closing in on a return but I think this weekend will come too soon so Dan bur 6 foot s Fabian Shaw 6 foot one obviously we’re missing a certain Mr the lap so we will have to look at the way we play in terms of the physicality versus their uh their center backs antino liento has kind of relegated Kieran tripier to the bench for the vast majority of the Season boarding from Southampton kind of uh got a bit of a run last year with with injuries and stuff but he’s really kicked on this season and he will be a threat down the right hand side they’ve got some issues in terms of absentees Nick popes out with a medial uh injury a medial ligament injury uh which means that Martin de Brava will play he’s been linked with a move to Saudi in the window but he’s got the the shirt at the moment Joe Linton already mentioned suspended for five yellows and Sven botman isn’t quite ready yet do you think it’s harsh for me to say that this Newcastle squad has three excellent players in isack Gordon and gimmer and then it’s quite a big drop off to the I know you know these are still Premier League experienced players but those three are kind of very much a shining light in this squad I would suggest and it’s a bit of a drop off to the the kind of the next level down is that is that me being harsh and too too simple or do you think that is fair I think it might be fair but I think we might have said that about West Ham said with Kudos and who was the four of them Kudos petta boen and yeah Anthony or full Krug or petta or something wasn’t he one one other yeah and we were like oh you know it’s all pretty work a day around that so yeah we don’t want to get gets tedious doesn’t it this same you know conversation about not only a promoted team but a double promoted team um on their day it’ll be enough um it’ll be enough won’t it for for them but yeah I I don’t think it’s harsh to it’s harsh to say and we’ve seen Newcastle over the years have a whole host of sort of flamboyant what you call them luxury players so no do you think it’s harsh no I think I think that is the case I think you’ve got these three kind of shining lights I think those three would probably get into I could even see them in the Liverpool lineup Gordon would wouldn’t he yeah yeah and isako would suggest through the middle i’ put him ahead of someone like Darwin Nunes or Diego jotter I think they’ve got those three who would pretty much get into most side City are being linked with Bruno gimash given their Central Midfield issues so yeah they’re the kind of the three gold kind of crowns of the squad they’ll be looking to hang on to they won’t want to sell them even if they have to for kind of ffp to kind of reinvest in the squad because I think they’re quite a way out on the on the rest of the the team but like we said you know we’ve just listed some players there we’ve send you some graphics to make this maybe look like a a daunting process but two key facts they played in the week so we’ve had an extra what three four days of of rest time you know they won’t be back on the training pitch for this game until this afternoon and traveling down to Mars that goes in our favor and they are poor against sides in the bottom half of the league averaging .9 points per game so remember Sim as well do you remember the I think it was the opening day against Southampton where it’s a red card and they didn’t beat him so part of your 0.9 per game is three in that one against saints who are abject worst team in the league aren’t they as well yeah yeah very much so they they seem to be struggling so hopefully we can take advantage of that and we’re obviously riding the quest of a wave given last weekend so yeah that’s the that’s the that’s the lowdown for the opposition of the weekend yeah fantastic stuff Sam we are about to get into how do you solve a problem like Liam deap um which we’ve put off talking about long long um enough so get your thoughts in via the comments we’ve been chattering about this since the yellow card was kind of um confirmed let us know if you want to put your entire ipswitch 11 um in in the live chat we’ll stick some of them up on the screen and we’ll get sebs as well but first a word from our sponsors Sunday and then I promis Seb I’m turning my phone off I’m put my laptop in the fridge and I’m not doing any work for two days I promise we’re getting there we’re nearly we’re nearly there blue Monday rewind is out now with Craig and Dave and Premier League predictions um it says with Ben and Mikey obviously Mikey is all primed and ready for his paternity he leaves so we send all our love to Mikey he’s Fed Up of us texting asking if there’s any news I’ll bloody tell you when there’s any news I’m stressed out all right she’s marching around the house with a baby about to drop out of her so fingers crossed and please do send your love to Mikey over on Twitter or in the comments here as we welcome fingers crossed everything crossed a healthy tractor boy to join our ranks here um as part of the Blue Monday team he’s an honorary member immediately right I’m just procrastinating because I’m very sad that Liam dap’s not around when I when I looked at these three games SE I thought Newcastle at home and then there’s Arsenal and Chelsea I thought okay Arsenal and Chelsea put them to one side Newcastle at home with Liam deap don’t I like that and you talk about these skyscraper center backs Li D doesn’t care does he beats them all up hey I think he would have had fun with those two but I think he’s not here and I need to get over it Seb I think yeah I think you’re right I think that would have been the better way to look at it have him suspended for the trip away to to Arsenal he’d get nearly a week of of rest off just over a week of rest off between the Newcastle and the Chelsea games and he’s good to go again but un fortunately it’s not worked out that way do you want to get your Nathan Broadhead must start up front against 6 foot s Dan burn out the way now or are we going to leave that one parked for a mate it it went like a farting Church when I suggested it with daveid they just laughed at me basically so that shows how fickle David Diamond and Joe far are the the hero the man that turned the league one season the man with his fingerprints over all of the big games last season They’re laughing him off now dear me um Broadhead will score he’ll score in the Premier League Off the Bench this season but no um it doesn’t appear that many want that to be the solution I I get it I’m being I’m being semi-serious what’s your solution um I think you go for well it’s one of two isn’t it it’s Sami schm modic or it’s Ali al-hamed down the middle Al Hamed’s looked better each game I think he’s he’s come on since the Man United game where he seemed to really struggle rumors that he’s still playing with a bit of a knock a bit of an injury so his his his kind of availability and how long he’ll be able to last for is perhaps in question I think he go Sami smodic through the middle um and alamed becomes the relief player at 7 75 minutes whatever it would be I think it was just illness wasn’t it smic just a just illness there wasn’t an injury or such so hopefully a good thing said that he had the week off if he’s going to have to attempt to run anything like the machine the Beast the man Mountain does yeah and we have to we simply have to adapt the way we play you know there’s no point launching kind of balls in the air when he’s got 6 fo seven Dan burn behind him for him to kind of you know do what the lap does hold the ball up bring this into play spin his man and start running whe that ball into the channel Seb it’s been so useful when we you know we got these Premier League teams building up The Possession and they’re all wise to it and all terrified of it any I’ve got to shut up about Liam deap sorry carry on but no one’s been able to stop it have they you know we saw we saw the comments from Gary O’Neal at fulltime last weekend saying what do he say you know that’s the kind of goal that Liam D would score against a Under 12 side the defending was criminal so no one’s worked ah hard to stop him so he is a massive blow I would go schm modic through the middle assuming he’s all fit and been in bed with LM siip and you know hot robine for the last the last week or so I’d have him through the middle and I would have aliel Hamed relieving him at the kind of 70 whatever it is minute Mark which means you’ve got a gap on the left hand side unless you keep the same three that we had at molu now I thought that was wesb bur’s best game of the season last Saturday putting that fizz cross which the lap kind of couldn’t readjust his body and and at times we had that lovely link up like we’ve seen so many times in the last two years where Conor Chaplin plays that kind of first time no look pass down the wing and burns is already on his bike so I think I’ll be tempted to keep it the same I think I’d have I’d have um burns on the right chaplain in the 10 and Hutchinson on the left I guess Jack Clark or Nathan Broadhead are the two alternatives for the number 10 role sorry for the for the the wide the left 10 role but that means you’re going to drop one of either Burns or or chaplain and I think given the performance last weekend I’d be tempted to keep those three the same personally yeah I think I agree likes a steady run and um what we have seen throughout McKenna’s tenure is that things always improve don’t they when he gets a you know an area of the team that he can coach for any even like three months or whatever you do see Improvement so yeah and even though it’s nonsense the whole never change a winning team you do what’s right for the for the game but I do think there’s a sense that if they’ve got the if they’ve got the shirts um that yeah you might well see that let us know your thoughts um in um in the chat on um on the front end of the the pitch what about the um keeper and the back four and the the double pivot kind of starting to pick itself isn’t it it is it’s Mory and cust isn’t it assuming they’re both fit it was interesting postmatch when Jack Taylor kind of said that Jen’s cust and Jack Taylor were vying for the left-and position and Sammy Moran Calvin Phillips is now his under study for the rightand position that’s clearly the way it’s gone Jack Taylor great with the last minute the last minute winner again he’s looked really good coming off the bench in recent weeks but for me cuse is a bit of a Rolls-Royce of a player at times he just effortlessly can glide around the pitch he has physicality if we can just find a way to keep him going for 70 75 80 minutes as opposed to kind of 60 65 minutes when he he seems to run out of puff I know he’s got the he’s got the the knee issue that’s kind of being being managed but yeah Mory in cuse for me in the center um the two center backs pick themselves it’s Dar OA and it’s Cameron Burgess who again was excellent didn’t think we were going to be saying that I really didn’t no I wasn’t I wasn’t sure we were going to properly see him again when we went at the cup to Wimbledon I kind of thought oh that might be kind of one of the last times we see Cameron Burgess because Jacob Greaves one of the highlights of the first few games of the Season paid big money for him started the season really really well but Cameron bur is fair play absolutely phenomenal no matter who he goes up against if it’s a quick Striker if it’s a physical Striker he just adjusts his game and makes it look effortless and yeah I’d assume we’ll get him tied down to a new contract soon because they extended his deal in the summer he’s out of contract next year and they’ll look to to get him tied down because he he just looks like he’s you know for a player that we signed for 750 Grand from rington playing left-sided Center back in a back three League one level you know the the the journey he’s been on is for a while I can’t remember if it was Dave or Joe said on the flagship he’s one of the best adverts for Kier McKenna’s coaching and that’s completely true isn’t it he’s just moved up a level effortlessly so there’s your center backs Leaf Davis OB there’s a pretty high bar at adver for Kieran mcken coaching I’ve got to say isn’t there true yeah very very true um and then it’s just the right back I guess Harry Clark got the nod last weekend it seems like Ben Johnson wasn’t quite fit um I thought that I thought that he marshaled ca really well in the first half last that’s no main Fe exactly yeah second half he got away from a few times I’m not sure if that was Fitness maybe Harry Clark’s not played a lot of football um but I don’t think he did anything wrong so again if it was if it was Clark and burns down that side I’d have no issue or perhaps McKenna will want the kind of the the Premiership n and knowhow of Ben Johnson because that’s their threat that’s newcast Gordon Gordon and and Lewis Hall as well yeah and if the if the average positions are to be believed whoever plays that Center field roll on the left will tuck in that side as well to create an overload so I wouldn’t be that surprised if it was Ben Johnson kind of backing up West burs a little bit no I i’ I wouldn’t be I agree with um Paul in the in the chat here Johnson um against Gordon and we’ve said it before on the Pod that if you make it 10 versus 10 and you got you got one job mate do not let Anthony Gordon run past you into the box because you know what’s gonna happen then you know maybe that’s the way forward but yeah obviously disappointing that the I’m going back there that the star player of the season is is not here but hey everyone misses their star player every every now and then and um I guess SE with one door closes another one opens for somebody else and I’m sure Kieran McKenna will try and accentuate the positive if it is say smodic where it’s like well look they’ve got no data on us with smodic at number nine we can play slightly differently we can keep them away from the center halfes we can have their two Center halves doing nothing and then they’ll they have to address that pretty quickly in the game what are they what are they going to do and you can maybe you can get the first shot in in the game of cat and mouse tactically which should be a good one between Eddie how and Kieran McKenna yeah and potentially maybe it will do daps him good to have a bit of a rest you know he has been flogged since the the Spurs away game when George Hurst went down you know he’s he’s kind of it was very much 60 65 minutes pretty much religiously wasn’t it in all the games when we had a uh George Hurst available to come and step in we had George HST start at for to give him a bit of a rest but since then I think it was the Bournemouth game where he was kind of talking to the bench I think at 60 minutes and McKenna said give me five more minutes and 20 minutes later we still on the pitch so we have been SS very warno we have been flogging haven’t we for the last few weeks and maybe a week off we’ll do him a bit of good as well it’s a busy period with games coming up so yeah it’s just unfortunate the way it’s Fallen this way around rather than potentially miss the Arsenal game which is a complete free hit anyway isn’t it and maybe we’ll see a a Lazarus light return for for George Hurst at some point you know if the on Instagram he’s running around his kitchen with his dog so potentially maybe he might be closer to a return than we were thinking I didn’t think we’d see him until maybe kind of Fulham or the FA Cup uh third round tie against Bristol Rovers in a couple of weeks time but it could be like Holloway where I’m not saying come back in the starting lineup but suddenly he might be back on the bench you never ever know give me five more minutes lad five I I’ll pay you your gold bonus give me give me five more minutes lad um brilliant stuff um we are going to go to the FPL segment um get your questions in for Seb to round this one out um but this is FPL in association with Brett Vale um who are currently welcoming new members on a second club membership for 499 pounds to play from 1 of October to 1 of April 2025 no joining fee uh you’re 10 minutes Seb um drive from cop do interchange over at East bergal there I’m sure I’ve done sure i’ done some weddings in there possibly I think so um there’s been too many for me to remember now um plenty of parking over there as well exclusive deal for blue um Monday subscribers reed2 and 24p for 2024 on your Club card to spend in the bar quote Blue Monday tell all your friends you have to get the barman to give you a five star review on Spotify as well that would help us out but go and book yourself a round of golf visit Brett golf.com Cod UK for your tea time availability as well as the latest offers and you can follow Brett Vil gol on Instagram and tell them we sent you as well right Seb what do you want to see first do you want to see the FPL scores or you want see yeah let’s see much further ahead I’ve moved ahead of him oh there it is yeah so I win the week 66 points Rich got 47 we each got three bonus points for ipswitch because I think we both had the lap and Hutchinson neither of whom did anything apart from the usual minutes for starting and playing a certain amount of minutes so for the week I finished 19 points ahead of him which means I am now quick maths what’s that 150 odd points ahead on the overall score got 1, 126 he’s got 876 so it looks to be a done deal folks um it looks to be that I will be choosing the t-shirt that he’ll have to wear for the first home game of next season whatever the forfeit will be um I think he’s made a couple of changes this week we have to have we have our rule where you’ve got to have at least two I players in your starting 11 OB to Pi Liam deap out so he’s kept Leaf Davis at the back and he’s bought in Sam Mory into cental Midfield he’s actually got Hutchinson in as well so he’s got three iage players in his starting 11 and I think get bonus point for that shouldn’t he no no don’t give him any Christ he spent the first weeks needs all the points he can get we send I love to Richard as well he’s just moved house bless him as well so he’s having a very stressful week even with Christmas as well carry on he spent the first three weeks putting in players that were then going to play the following weekend like Brian and buo and then he scored two against us so no he gets absolutely no sympathy from me he’s put Nicholas Jackson in uh up front there I can see there for some reason he dropped olle Watkins to the uh to the bench so yeah a couple of changes for Rich he still got Cole Palmer as his captain my side I haven’t changed anything in terms of transfers all I’ve done is bring in um I’ve had to bring in uh Leaf Davis to go to a back four and put Liam dap on my bench so my two itage players are Liam Davis and uh Le Leaf Davis sorry and Amari Hutchinson no other changes tune in next week to find out how many points further ahead I have moved elf Rich before he gets rid of this feature by the way Liam Davis what a player that would be oh my God that’s got me all excited and get your questions in we’re gonna do actually get your predictions in as well you’ll be very disappointed to know SE that I’ve predicted a home defeat on the show with Mikey in this one Mikey went for a one-1 draw so that’s the good news I can’t get past Liam deap not being there I’m sorry I’ve gone nil two Newcastle so boo me in the chat go on do it I really hope I’m wrong I hope it’s the other way around but yeah um self-preservation maybe Seb what’s your prediction mate I’ve gone the same as Mikey I’m going to go for a one one draw I think it would be tough to win this game I know I’ve mentioned they’re not great against sides around the bottom of the league they don’t score that many goals but they are but they are kind of mely at the back in terms of scoring against them they’ll give us chances but without Liam to lap I you know I’d be impressed if we could score more than one so go for a positive 1-1 draw keep a little bit momentum going before what’s to come in next week midweek and uh and Monday after that so yeah a one all draw I’d be pretty happy with that I think given their their quality let’s be honest you for some questions SE fire away right uh this one is from Dan when do we expect Tuan zabie to return it wasn’t surgery was it I don’t think but they were suggesting it’s going to be a long time so I’d be amazed if we saw him before kind of what we thinking February March time do these things tend to be three months for severe hamstring strains or so I would guess and it’s only been two three weeks at this point so yeah I’d imagine probably maybe late February maybe March time um I guess they’ve not given us any time scales that might be encouraging um but certainly not for the not for the foreseeable future now uh Paul Ferguson on loan for br that’d be brilliant wouldn’t it in a heartbeat in an absolute heartbeat yeah I’d drive there pick him up um but didn’t the didn’t the Brighton manager didn’t he come out and say that he doesn’t want to loan him out and he’s going to be part of the Squad and he’s going to be involved so yeah if if we could get him absolutely brilliant yeah absolute Nob brainer go and get him because he’s basically the same as Liam dap he’s just physical and quick and Powerful it’s a similar profile to Liam Liam drba Liam Davis um he’s yeah if you can get Evan Ferguson go and do it in a heartbeat um oh this is a great question if you had to put a center half as a striker on Saturday who would it be well so you’ve you’ve either got I’m still impressed with Michael Keane’s goal for Everton against us is it the case you just go for the for the biggest one do you know think Luke wolfender might be quite funny he he’d be capable of bending one top corner I don’t know who who who you put in it it’s going to be Burgess isn’t it against 6′ s Dan Burn yeah I’d put whether he is 6’4 Cameron Burgess we saw that once was it what was the home game where we just couldn’t score was it Lincoln we had a load of shots in the league one campaign I think for the last 15 minutes Cameron Burgess kind of get up there went up front yeah we went a bit old school didn’t we yeah I I’d throw Burgess up there get it in the mixer for him Paul warhurst was the best one do you remember when he went up front in Blackburn’s title winning and they he turned into a striker I think no I think he went up front for Sheffield Wednesday actually I think I’m misremembering that but then yeah then Blackburn signed him I misremember it there you go H Colin Ben said we plan to do something for our dear and Bobby Robson um Seb and I will both hold our hands up right here and right now and say that when we’re on with David Diamond there’s only one person who’s going to be speaking about Bobby Robson and it ain’t going to be us so we’ll get Dave’s um no doubt there’ll be there’ll be something comes up and um Dave will have some story that he hasn’t told um before so we will H we know our Place SE don’t we absolutely yeah bow down to the great man Dave he’ll he’ll do he’ll do a great job for that uh could we get Marcus rashford on loan I mean it’d be lovely but um I don’t think so there’s probably 350,000 reasons a week why he wouldn’t come to ips switch I’d imagine he’s got designs on PSG or barcel or maybe Ruben Amarin will we will turn it around but I would be shocked if we managed to get him if we do then the ffp has truly been pushed to the absolute limit I would suggest um ad have we finally put to bed about Mich ad I’m sorry it doesn’t work like that mate next time he does anything wrong conversation comes back up you I think with football fans Seb you need six months Clean Slate but for a goalkeeper um football fans really really double down on suspicion don’t they I’m not saying that’s right or wrong I’m just saying that’s what happen he seems to be in a point now where anything is going to be jumped upon isn’t it you know I was right in line with the the Kya goal and it took a Nick off you know obviously m is beating at the near post it did take a Nick off Harry Clark it’s not a huge deflection um but straight away I think without realizing that people were saying you know Mich had messed up again shouldn’t be beating at his near his near post and I’ll just go back to what Joe said brilliantly a few weeks ago on the podcast if he had the cross claiming ability the shot stopping ability and didn’t make the errors he wouldn’t be at iwit Town he’d probably be in golf and Newcastle or or Spurs or somebody else you know you have to accept that with the excellent areas of his game there are problems and I thought he came at several times at the last Saturday at molu and and just clutched the ball out of the air brilliantly and that’s what he gives you and yeah until he makes the the next error I’m afraid it won’t go away and yeah I I back him fully and yeah I think he’ll be our number one for the entire season even if he makes another Rick I don’t think McKenna will drop him and I wouldn’t either yeah but as ever free speech Hoy if you don’t trust him that’s your right um we try and try and call it down the middle and try and um kind of get the the mood of the fan base and it is it is split whether that’s whether that’s right or wrong um I’m sure we’re all on the same side and we hope he has a great career uh for town uh Phillip who do you think um will leave town in in January um it’s one of those said where the likely value of players in terms of transfer fees that would go against the money that we’re now able to bring in with TV money against the fact that they were probably signed in League one I I don’t know what the benefits of the club just not keeping them around or deregistering them or having having them training is but um I don’t get if you’re he mentions Mas Luongo there I don’t get what you benefit from going to I don’t know Che for Wednesday for four months or whatever yeah I think that’s I think that’s perfectly ACC I mean I guess we’ll we’ll deregister OG Ben he’s out of the Season isn’t he so we’ll be able to free up a a squad slot that way and I guess the only way these guys will move on is if they want to you know if long Longo says to McKenna I’d like to go and play some football for 18 months before returning back to Australia then he’ll probably go with everyone’s best wishes he’s clearly not going to get he’s clearly the you know the fifth Choice cental midfielder after the ones we mentioned earlier and and Jack Taylor kind of coming off the bench and if if they want to move on they will but it will you know like you say there’s there’s no real benefit unless youve got somebody prepared to to come into the building and look to upgrade certain key positions again then then I think he’ll stick around but you know at some point one of the favorites we’ve had a few Squad players leave haven’t we you know George Edmonson Marcus harness at some point one of the favorites of the last two years is going I watched Derby the other night said he’s like their best creative player you know it’s amazing and George Edon is doing really well is he up up at middlesbury edon’s doing well well yeah so it’s great to see them but yeah at some point one of the the the kind of established players you know harness and Evon kind of fitted in fits and starts throughout the season one of the established players will move on and it might well be long Longo it could be Broadhead maybe in the window as well we will see um but yes unless there’s a tailor made replacement ready to come in I don’t think the club would let them go and Lead themselves short right last one here from David listening to DD on rewind thank you for the support David um we are in a better place now than in 2001 we did win a load of games over January though didn’t we yeah sorry Ben if we if we win was it what did we win was it eight out of nine nine eight out of nine was it just the Char defeat wasn’t it we’re safe and even there we were two n i mean if we can do that between now and January the whatever which do that now and week one of May I was just going to say that he says eight wins and he’s he’s kind of right David in the chat there because um that would take us to 36 points would you take how many games is there left 22 games would you take eight wins and what would it be 14 defeats to get to 36 points works for me I think in a heart y stop the season now to quote M McCarthy I wouldn’t even get on the bus Y no problem 36 points
