cut to the chase janii broom day to-day is the listing he left Auburn’s last game with a shoulder injury it did not look good reportedly popped out popped back in uh it at first it sounded like he was almost for sure going to play this weekend and it was just precautionary then some of the national reporters came out with more ominous reports in the days after basically saying there’s no timetable we’ll see Pearl said he would be shocked if he plays the latest update a day before the game is Bruce Pearl spoke with the media and said we got a positive report from the standpoint of no surgery required no damage he’s not practicing but he is traveling for this game so a true day today I guess nothing would surprise us here but anytime we’re hearing coaches say they’re surprised there’s no surgery required from my standpoint it feels like Janai broom’s not going to play I guess I’ll just throw it to you from a broom standpoint what are you expecting is he going to play this game I don’t think so you Auburn has bigger fish to fry than just this Purdue game right not that they’re going to play tougher teams on the schedule than Purdue even though they they will the SEC is that good this year but like their goals for their season are not beating Purdue on Saturday their goals are winning the SEC their goal is winning the N tournament making the final four I think if there is a chance broom can do longer term damage to his shoulder and it could be something that lingers throughout the season they’re going to arrest him and get him ready for SEC play now that being said apparently J broom was also like sending pictures of his shoulder before got popped back in in the team group chat which makes me think that he’s in a pretty good head space too about everything so I I I don’t know I would be lying if I had anything more than just kind of like a half educated guess but I do think Auburn is going to approach us from the standpoint of you know we have an SEC title to Chase and yes it’d be nice to beat Purdue with Janai broom but there’s also a chance they can beat Purdue without JY Bru there is we’ll get to that so uh for Purdue fans we we have a lot of Purdue fans that watch this channel I don’t know if any Auburn fans watch this channel so if there are Auburn fans watching this I apologize if we’re catering this towards the Purdue viewership standpoint but hey we know that’s a big portion of our audience and I I think my guess would be Purdue fans probably haven’t watched a ton of Auburn this year I’m sure there are some that are big college basketball fans that have watched Auburn because they know Auburn’s awesome and won the Maui Invitational but uh here’s a little Scout for you if you are unaware of what Auburn is they’re clearly the best team in college basketball this year they’re number one on kenpom per Kevin Sweeney it’s twet he had over the weekend uh through Midway through December they are the highest rated team in the history of Ken pom’s database since he started tracking day-to-day updates so I I I mean this is not just like the number one team of the country this is one of the most powerful number one teams in the country we have ever seen and the question is are they going to sustain that if Janai broom is going to miss a month of the season I don’t think they are going to sustain that but we really have no way of knowing what Auburn looks like without Janai broom um so we’ll get to that we’ll try to predict that for from a starting point though one of the things that makes Auburn so dangerous just to be clear is the sheer audacity of the way they play like this is a team that defies all logic in how they operate like they just they take crazy shots I think it was John Martin in one of our group chats that said their guards play like they’re hearing voices that’s the most accurate thing I’ve seen like I can’t watch this scene without witnessing that they are truly a team full of psychopaths as evidenced by the fact that earlier this season they got in an altercation that grounded a flight and then they had to refly to the Houston game and then missing a couple players oh by the way just Walston and beat Houston who at the time was the number one team on kenpom so truly I think there’s no team in college basketball that is less logical in how they do things than auburn and when you start to put the logic of the Janai broom thing into this like logically he shouldn’t play Auburn doesn’t need this one Whatever kind of makes me think he might just play because they’re a team full of freaks that don’t do the logical thing every time uh it would be very Auburn for Janai broom to just like show up and go for 40 and 20 in this game absolutely absolutely like that there is something too and and the mindset of just going for the kill all the time and that’s the way like the Bruce Pearl team the main of the final four in 2019 that was their kind of mindset and this team is that kind of on steroids because they they have a dominant big man in Jan broom like the guards I I think the illogical part about them is the fact you never know who’s going to beat you other than Janai broom other than the fact that you know somebody is going to you just don’t know where it necessarily is going to come from Todd pord could give you a 20 piece Chad Baker Mazar could give you 20 Denver Jones could give you 20 ji broom could give you 40 and those guys give you 20 it’s it’s hard to put into words because it’s just an onslaught when you play them the way they get up and down the court the way they force turnovers get after you it’s like you are in the Arkansas 40 minutes of hell Amplified it’s insane yeah yeah it’s high intensity for sure um so okay I guess the the question in the pivot for Auburn is going to be what are they going to look like without Janai broom um it is kind of hard to do preview because I I do feel like we’d be previewing two completely different teams if broom is there or broom is not there they are so dependent on him and Purdue fans should be somewhat familiar with this because you know we’ve gone a year and a half of like are they just Zach Edy the national player of the year and then Zach Edy leaves and I think smart people this offseason were like well no we’re way more than Zach Edy we’re Braden Smith we’re Fletcher lawyer we’re TK K we’re going to be fine monthin maybe not as fine as you thought now I’m not saying the people that said you were just Zack Ed was right but like the reality is when a team loses a national Player of the Year you take a step backwards and that’s an interesting conversation to have for this game specifically giv Jan I broom status because they are like super Janai broom Centric I mean he’s a in double figure rebounds every single game uh the big thing last last year he was playing like 24 minutes a game he’s been up above 30 more often than he hasn’t this year that has trended in a different direction lately like he he’s been under 32 games in a row before he got injured at the beginning of the Georgia State game so you know I I do feel like they kind of took the foot off the pedal a little bit with broom just for some of the cupcake non-conference games maybe they’re sprinkling in a little patience for March to not burn their guy out but I guess how how much less dangerous do you think the team will be without broom anytime you don’t have the national Player of the Year like you’re obviously less dangerous that being said they have two other very capable very productive very efficient bigs and Dylan Cardwell and Shaney Johnson I I think if anything you’re just going to have Auburn play smaller and I brought up that 2019 Auburn team that made the final four because it has the same kind of mindset that team took almost 50% of their shots from three like it was almost even split split I think the three-point rate was 49.6 which was top 10 in the country this aror team shoots a lot of Threes but not at that rate or just because you have a guy like broom on the interior I think given the strength they have in the back court and the multitude of guys who can beat you whether it’s just this game or any length of time they don’t have broom I think you see that three-point rate Skyrocket and it gets up towards that 50% and they just try and beat you from the perimeter and beat you in transition yeah makes sense so looking at what happened against Georgia State again broom was down in the first two minutes of the game and they had a couple options you could basically have gone 35 minutes from Dylan Cardwell the other true big who starts alongside broom and then sprinkled in four wings or Wings SLG guards alongside him Cardwell only played 17 minutes despite broom’s injury they really went all in on Cheney Johnson who played 30 minutes off the bench now cheny was spectacular he spit out at 12 for 14 shooting performance um I don’t know that he’s going to necessarily replicate that but I think that’s more what Auburn is comfortable doing like if broom is out I do think they’re going to go small which is interesting against Purdue because I think Purdue would rather see a team trying to go small with them than a team trying to beat them down low with the tkr at the five look I think they would too like one of the biggest questions with a healthy broom would be or is if broom plays how Purdue guards that because Purdue has had trouble protecting the rim and defending other dominant big men and so Deni B being the most dominant big man in the country what do you do there Cheney Johnson andan Cardwell I will say smaller are very physical and have a lot of strength they’re big guys I think that could potentially give Purdue some is on the interior but you’re right like the the question then becomes okay can Purdue keep up with Auburn’s quickness and intensity because that’s been one thing with Purdue this season is when they have gone against more athletic back courts the back courts are and the opposing guards are able to get into the lane more frequently than they are or than they Purdue gives up against other teams and Purdue turns it over a little bit more like you see some of those turnover issues pop back up when when braad Smith and Fletch the lawyer are pressured without the secondary Lance Jones kind of ball handler in there those would be the only questions then as opposed to whether you can guard the big guy so it it takes kind of 33% of your worries away yeah yeah it’s um yeah I think like categorically it’s a big opportunity for Purdue because I’m about to get into it but like if if broom was 100% and this was just full go Auburn I mean we we’ve talked about a lot of nightmare matchups for Purdue through the non-conference this is the nightmare of all nightmares if broom is healthy if broom is zero minutes played not playing all of a sudden yeah like you said I think at least a third of the issues that Auburn presents Purdue disappear so it and again the way this works respectfully to bracketologists who do a great job uh at the end of the season produce a tournament team we know that but like playing for seeding here at the end of the season if Purdue beats Auburn without Janai broom there’s not like huge emojis on the resume that signal that they beat them without jight broom it’s just going to show that they beat Auburn which will matter come end of the season um so okay I want to go through some of the categories I know some of our Purdue comment section uh in the past month has been kind of on my ass rightfully so for like every game I come on here I’m like it’s a nightmare matchup I think I’ve been right a lot like if you go through it Penn State and Texas A&M exploited Purdue weaknesses because that’s exactly what they’re designed to do uh Maryland I think that was a close game because Derek Queen was able to Feast down low and they just a lot of things Purdue is weak at that these teams are designed to exploit Marquette certainly the same thing I don’t know how painer scheduled this way like I I think he kind of got unlucky because some of these issues would be less problematic if Daniel Jacobson was just healthy but there’s a lot of teams on the schedule that are uniquely designed to just annoy Purdue right now the good news is after this Auburn game you’re not going to hear me say it’s a nightmare matchup for at least a month I I think the next month of big 10 play is like a lot of teams that can’t exploit Purdue weakness so don’t roll your eyes at me for this one because I have been dialed in on this uh Auburn here’s why they’re the scariest matchup of every game Purdue has played this year again caveat being that Janai broom has been on the team for these numbers but the four big categories I look at that Purdue is very weak at um number one offensive rebounding do they give up Second Chances Purdue’s been getting beat up on those down low tkr is not a good rebounder Auburn’s top 40 in that nationally that honestly surprised me when seeing that number it feels like they’re more close to the top 10 any given game they’re a team that can get 20 rebounds especially when Janai broom is in there uh two-point offense same thing Purdue has no rim protector I say it every preview tkr has one block on the season it came in the first game of the year Braden Smith had two blocks last game that’s more than Produce Center has in the last month and a half uh Auburn is awesome inside they shoot 61% from two-point range they Feast at The Rim they get easy buckets dunks use their athleticism um then outside of that the the thing Auburn doesn’t do that will I think benefit prod do a little bit they don’t force a ton of turnovers defensively and we talk about how athletic and chaotic they are again that’s a surprising number on the profile I would have thought that Auburn is a much more higher forced turnover rate team but they’re only 251st in the country en forced turnovers so I don’t know those are kind of like the big three to me here and then the the fourth that I always just circle is tempo because I think Purdue has really SL Lo things down they’re playing slower this year than they did even with Zack EDI a little crazy to think about when they’re a small ball team they struggle when teams want to get up and down Auburn’s more middle of the pack Tempo wise their average possession length offensively is higher so they they fall more middle of the pack because they guard teams for long possessions so stylistically I think Auburn will be pretty comfortable with like heru’s trying to drain the shot clock Auburn wants to just run and get easy buckets so I would say profile wise three of the four danger areas for Purdue are like Auburn gozone we can kill you there but that’s all with Janai broom so what do you make of those four week areas and what should we watch for in this game the pace is going to be interesting to me because I think a lot of the reason why Auburn is slower this season than they have been is the intentionality of working Jan broom in the post right in the past Bruce Pearl Alber teams have wanted to play as fast as possible get out in transition get easy buckets get threes that’s what they’ve done they’ve slowed down I think broom was a huge part of that and he should be because you want to get him the ball in the post and give him opportunities to get the ball in the post I expect Auburn to speed things up without him if he’s not able to play that’s just a a hunch they may not because again Cardwell and chany Johnson have been good and I think you can play at a really high level the way you have been just with those guys feeling the Jan broom role the turnover stuff is interesting to me because I do think that is an issue for Purdue without Lance Jones like Lance Jones alleviated a lot of those concerns last year that still pop up but to your point Auburn hasn’t had a lot of success forcing those you know they’ve been kind of okay not playing as pressure uh as they have in the past they still like to get underneath even and extend their defense a little bit but it’s not as frantic as it has been the past years again do they go back to that without ji broom or they just kind of settle in that’s that’s the big wild card in this because if Auburn plays the Auburn style from two years ago in this game before broom was like a huge factor I think that is more of a problem for Purdue than if Auburn sits back and just tries to have those guys fill the geni broom role and play the same yeah yeah I’m with you I do think we’ll probably see a stylistic tweak like Pearl also seems like like a a good enough coach obviously he’s a Hall of Famer but like he feels like the type that will kind of change everything he wants his team to do game to game like yeah he I think he’s smart enough to say oh we got to get in produce [ __ ] and force turnovers in a way we haven’t been intent on in other games this year you also know he’s going to challenge those guards with BR doesn’t play to be to carry the team and also to say hey people think that guy is the best guard in the country are you gonna take that right like that’s that is right up the Bruce Pearl Playbook right and there are I mean again we should probably go through Personnel wise with the guards on Auburn um again some Psychopaths here for lack of a better word like like miles Kelly’s an audacity driven player like he’s shooting 43% from three on 63s he’ll pull up from the logo Denver Jones is probably the most like rained in of the Auburn guys that I think there are and he’s still of a supreme like great athlete good player um tahad ped is the Wild Card true freshman comes off the bench he’s shooting 44% from three he’s had a knack for big games so depending on I don’t know if Auburn I think Auburn’s gonna view this as a big game anytime you play a team that was just in the national title game like he’s probably gonna show up and you know Baker mazara is one of the most insane people that’s ever played college basketball I think and he’s capable of like a triple double any given night so um yeah we’ll see we’ll see Personnel wise it is interesting cuz Auburn’s the type of team to take a lot of matchups personally and I do think that’ll be an element of this especially without broom if he’s not there of like the the spare parts being like oh they’re going to write us off they don’t think we can do this they think Braden Smith’s the best guard here let’s destroy him and you know I think Braden’s good enough I think Braden is good enough to handle that but it’s tough test for sure anytime tough task Braden can’t handle it but taking one of the better back Court groups in the country and giving them added motivation only makes things more difficult why is this Auburn backourt group better than last year’s let me let me frame this for you because last year yeah we Auburn was a top five Team all of last season and I think that gets forgotten about because they lost to Yale in the first round but they were I mean they were very close to what this team is I think just broom played less and at the end of the year The Narrative became well none of those guards were good and I think we’ve now seen Aiden Holloway like be pretty good at Alabama I think we’ve seen Trey Donaldson be pretty good at Michigan they’re not great but I I don’t look at what the Auburn guards this year are doing as like a huge step forward from what last year’s guards have done but I guess do you see it differently and why is this group so much more successful so far I think chemistry one is a big thing as you mentioned that they had quality guards who have gone elsewhere and and produced boost significantly higher and more efficient rates than they did a year ago I think there was something about the combination of all of them that was a bit of an issue this year’s team also shoots the three better they get more steals that’s the one I’m iffy on though like I I think that’s gonna crash at some point it may but they’ve given you no indication that it will like you’ve had individual guys crash out but when like Tad pedford goes off against Houston and crashes two games later Miles Kelly is the one making four threes or Denver Jones then having his big game CH marar is going off for for 20 then they have an off night and Todd pedford takes over or Miles Kelly takes over like their ability to I think that’s the only one thing that makes them so dangerous is you get a consistent and I I don’t have the numbers in front of me but let’s say you get a consistent 35 points from the four guys it’s going to be 35 points a night Jed B marar might give you 20 of those 35 this night while the other guys kind of strug play more supportive roles the next night might be Denver Jones gives you 15 and Todd pedford gives you 15 and the other guys are kind of middling that’s been the most impressive thing to me about them is the way that it’s not like a your turn my turn it’s as a collective group somebody finds a way to pick up the slack and that to me plays into the chemistry aspect of things but they have shot the three better this year I know they don’t force a lot of turnovers but those guards have gotten more steals than last year’s group did as well they’re also bigger there’s more size we talked about the the in fact they’re all guards last year you were trotting out like two or three point guard lineups now you’re trotting out you know two or three maybe sometimes four wings siiz lineups guys who are 64 6567 Todd peder is the only one who’s like true like smaller point guard size last year you were trotting out guys who were much more on the six foot range which limited you as well yeah yeah the size is a good point they definitely feel a lot more physically imposing which plays into the whole like Scare Tactics of what Auburn does like it it is terrifying to play against Auburn it just is when they’re at full strength and that’s kind of what they want to do they want to intimidate and spook you and it’s good um so I just want to go on record with this I I do I have no problem saying aubin’s the best team in the country when broom’s healthy [Music] um I don’t buy that the shooting is going to be sustained like I Miles Kelly is a great player for them right now he’s a career 35% shooter from three last season he shot 32% on 215 attempts like we have we have voluminous sample sizes with him that say he’s like a 10% worse three-point shooter than he’s been this year and he’s hitting [ __ ] from the logo that’s awesome they’re worth like 10 points when he makes them he went 0 for five last game against Georgia State without broom I’m keeping my eye on Miles because I think we’re we’re due for like a month-long regression here and I wonder what that does to Auburn overall because if Kelly is just missing these crazy Haymaker three-pointers from the logo do they go away from him completely do they go to Denver Jones do they go to pedford full-time I think you will start to see some of the ghosts of last year’s guard rotations creep in because personnel-wise the structure of this is not all that different it’s like any given night it’s a different guy and last year at the beginning of the year Aiden Holloway looked awesome and then by conference play you gave up on him and I think that was a big part of this and I don’t I’m not saying it’s gonna happen to pedford I think pedford is better than Aiden Holloway just straight up but I just do Wonder like can can all these cards really shoot 44% from three all season long I don’t think so counter it’s easier to get better looks at Auburn than it is for Georgia Tech it’s easier when you don’t have as much defensive pressure on you as you do at Georgia Tech you’re not having the same kind of usage rate that you were you’re not as big a part of the offense which guys don’t like but you’re also playing for a better team and there’s not as much defensive focus on you the end result would be that I think Miles Kelly has gotten much more open shots you know he’s getting clean looks from the logo as opposed to off the dribble step Backs from the logo it’s fair it’s fair uh okay quickly on the produce side of things then we’ll get to our predictions um I feel like we covered everything from why Auburn is dangerous here even without Janai broom but just broadly with Purdue where do you think this team is at right now um lost two of their last three smoked at Penn State Texas A&M was a winnable game was back and forth Maryland sandwiched in between back and forth game at home at Mackey um I think at this point my my summarization of this would be that everyone involved fans players coaches everyone involved is now fully aware that it’s going to be a lot tougher to get where they want to go than they thought and maybe we should have known that the moment Daniel Jacobson went down I don’t know yeah um I mean you you and I have been proponent to the small ball lineup since the summer I think we’re both happy that they’ve gotten there I also think you and I probably thought it would work a little better than it is like I just hand up I didn’t think tkr would be this much of a liability on the boards and as a rim protector I thought he would give you something there and uh mixed in with it with culvin and Heidi’s inconsistencies and the lack of bench production like I I think we’re all sort of just taking a step back of like wow this is going to be harder for Purdue than we thought where do you think this team is at mentally where are you at with your belief in this team I still believe they are a solid team like you know top tier Big 10 maybe not win the league if they don’t throw their finish finishing second or third I think they’re top 15 top 20 nationally my opinion of where they stand in the picking order in both of those situations both those scenarios have not changed to this point I think it is worth noting that the TK’s rebounding rate is actually like down from where it was a year ago and we spent time the saw season talking about how Purdue was kind of slimming him up an expectation to either play faster and G small or have him play the four and I think they went in on him playing the four with Jacobs and Jacob’s injury had him slot down to the five so now you have a slimmed up tkr playing the five and I think that’s hurt him from a a strength standpoint and then hurt Purdue the one thing with Purdue though that I think just remains to be seen awesome at Mackey like I don’t think they’re going to lose at Mackey until you and I are in the grave they’re going to win the rest of the games there for the rest of Eternity that’s that’s crazy insinuation but away from Macky though this team is three and two one of those wins was at the buzzer against Miss yeah or two and three excuse me one of those wins at the buzzer against Miss other one was a 10-point win against a pretty bad NC State team that I understand just made the final four but that team was also four minutes away from losing to Louisville in the opener and not having Kevin ke as their head coach anymore the level of play between how they play at Mackey and how they play away from Mackey is vastly different still a solid team but you are not the team that we’ve yet to see the team that beat Bama again since the Alabama game right and this is a quote unquote neutral sight game but it’s in Birmingham is going to pretty much be a home game for Auburn I I wonder how they handle that because they didn’t handle it well at Penn State they didn’t handle it well at Marquette and I understand those are true Road environments I think this going to be pretty close to a true Road environment and I don’t know particularly with the way Auburn can kind of avalanche you if they I I wonder if it’s a problem them playing away from Mackie yeah okay the the Mackie point is obviously a real one I think it’s one of the if not best top three home environments in college basketball I’ve been a couple games last couple years and I I mean I was shaking the entire time um at risk of just I don’t know going going full negative on Purdue here um I I think I alluded to this in a couple previous conversations either in Recaps or in other videos I’ve had more time to dwell on it and think about this Purdue team this is where I’m at with Purdue right now I think they are a a tier below where most people nationally think they are in the Big 10 and I I don’t think I I don’t trust anyone in the Big 10 to say like they’re definitively better Mackey is going to swing a lot of things but man resume wise and just look at what’s been happening here net rankings they’re eighth in the Big 10 kenpom has them sixth in the Big 10 like I I think we’ve gone from this is the favorite to this is one of the favorites to what if they’re not in the group of favorites here and this is a a hugely critical game because just to lay it out Point Blank if Janai Brun was playing this game I think Auburn would beat them by 20 I I just think there’s no answer for a guy like that from this Purdue team right now but without broom Auburn’s gonna go small and suddenly it changes everything because Purdue can play small they can hang with anybody if if teams are going to play small um so we’ll get to predictions in just a second but I I I guess outside of this game regardless I just want to like kind of make the point I am worried about where this is headed um I I to your point the three games at Mackey that like oh that Mackey got them the game Yale was a really close game with six minutes left Alabama they were trailing in the second half Maryland they trailed into the second half and then just home court helped them and CJ Cox went nuclear a couple times but like it it’s a scary day point because I did look this up Braden Fletcher and tkr for the most part have been great in these games and they’re still not creating separation that’s a really scary data point because I don’t like Fletcher lawyer is a guy who in these previous two seasons has gone cold for a month and if he goes cold for a month this team just doesn’t have enough Firepower so we’ll see right now the three stars have been Stellar you’re on thin ice I think with some of these results which makes this game extrem extremely pivotal for Purdue and as we mentioned at the beginning of this don’t think it matters that much at all to Auburn from a resume point you probably get where I’m going with this let’s get to predictions uh diers Pro is our partner for all of our previews and Recaps this year diers Pro is running a really special offer for uh the holidays right now you heard ad read at the beginning of this but rather than our typical 20% off diers Pro for your first month with sleepers uh promo code sleepers you can get 50% off so uh take advantage of that offer diers Pro Link in the description of this video they simulate every single game tens of thousands of times tell you exactly what player props to bet it’s an awesome tool that I have been using for years the line for this game is not out yet we’re recording this Friday morning so go back to diers Pro on uh Friday evening for now we’re going to use the kenpom line which assumes Janai broom is playing it’s got Auburn by 11 83 to 72 I would guess the line is closer to eight I still think Auburn will be sizeably favored even with broom up in the air but uh I guess take whatever number you want Brian what do you think the result is here I think Auburn wins 85 to 72 Double D win by 13 Janai broom is the best player in the country he’s National player of the year I think the other guys on AUB team don’t get enough credit because of how good J Miss like I think this Auburn team is really really freaking good and I do have questions about Purdue when it comes to their ceiling like I feel like we we talked negatively about Purdue a lot in this video they are a very good team with a very high floor one of if not the best point guarder in the country really good shooting Team guys who can step up and make shots up and down that roster and tkr is a really good offensive big man question is what can you do to elevate your game and that is something I don’t know if Purdue has shown the ability to really do yet this season particularly away for Mackey Auburn is the most proven team in the country like Purdue is probably the fourth or fifth best team they’ve played this season and they’ve handled just about everybody else the only time they did was when they went to Duke went to Cameron beat Duke or lost to Duke just off of winning the M Invitational which there’s always a a drop in play after that I think Auburn’s phenomenal and this my my pick of them winning this game by 13 it’s just Auburn making another statement about how good they actually are and they’re not just in I broom more so than I think Purdue is bad I think Purdue is a very good team Auburn’s just in a different Stratosphere yeah I I think it’s very possible to be that outcome um I have a very different prediction and I do want to want to get on record Victory lap Pat myself on the back a little more folks I have nailed three consecutive Purdue predictions nail nailed it I said Penn State would smoke them I said they would Trail against Maryland and come back with Mackie Voodoo and then I said they would uh ultimately come short against Texas A&M got a feeling on this one folks uh I think Auburn jumps out early maybe maybe a double digit lead early no Janai broom in this game and I think Purdue storms back and wins the game and is the better team for the final 30 minutes this is the largest reason why uh I don’t think you can minimize how important Janai broom is to everything that Auburn does just straight up I don’t I understand they have great things elsewhere um I do worry about their guards slumping I think Purdue has the best guard here I I think we nailed it that Auburn is going to go small if you’re going to go small it negates the entire Advantage teams have against Purdue we talked about how this team hasn’t been forcing as many turnovers if you’re not going to win the the offensive rebounding in the two-point percentage which Janai broom is the reason you do that I I think this is a huge opportunity for a Purdue team with Matt payer with a week to prep for this knowing that their resume needs it and suddenly the national player of the year’s out uh yeah give me a come together Purdue Victory give me a Braden Smith Stellar performance I will go bold on this Brian he’s danced around it about three times this year Braden Smith triple double in this game Braden Smith plays 40 minutes in this game Braden Smith announces himself back into the all All American picture with a statement went over the quote unquote best team in the country I’ll take Purdue In The End by about eight or nine but again I think it’s going to be like Avalanche crazy Auburn shot making early some Championship [ __ ] from BL Braden and Fletcher to make it close at half produce searates in the second half we’ll see if I’m right we’ll see if Brian’s right we’ll be here to recap it uh next week thanks for watching this video is brought to you by my bookie the presenting sponsor of all things sleepers Med and our favorite sports book on the planet
