for for for for for for what warning incoming game over warning incoming game [Applause] over good evening uh everybody Welcome uh another postgame show here uh for the Jets 5 nothing uh victory tonight over the Minnesota Wild um you know my name is Ty delello and I’m the host here at the game over Winnipeg um Welcome to the postgame show um a pretty eventful eventful game for for the Jets um uh you know they were able to um take care of a a tired uh Minnesota team um that hasn’t really been playing their best hockey as of late um and and win in convincing fashion a five nothing win um Connor heluk uh for the Jets uh was this first star of the game he had a 19 save shutout he improves to 21 5- one on the year and looks um you know well on his way to um you know winning another uh his third vzna trophy it was definitely one of those nights for him um although it was very it wasn’t um it wasn’t a like one of those big Shut outs where you know you stop 30 you know 40 shots it was a very relaxed night for him um but when he was called upon he he didn’t make the saves um Nikolai eers got the the Jets on the board uh in the first period uh with his first go I think in 11 games and then and um this is only his second game back from injury uh he had a nice power play goal uh 6 minutes into the game um and then the fourth line got a goal from Morgan Baron uh with two minutes left in the first period um who we talked about I think on the last jet show how we needed the fourth line to you know to get going or you know we wanted to see some changes so um you know Morgan Baron you know maybe silences the haters a little bit with his third goal of the year and his first non-empty net goal of the season um that put the Jets up two nothing um and then in in the second period the Jets I guess kind of continued um you know the momentum that they were on um Neil pan uh scored a power play goal his fifth of the season um assisted by Co Peretti and Nino NE Rider uh that put the team up by three um Minnesota didn’t really show much um you know signs of life in the third period um and just in general it was a very quiet night from you know their star players Carill Capri of obviously Matt Matt baly um you know they were all held pointless on the night um in that third period uh col Peretti scored um to make it four nothing and then um vladislav namestnikov uh scored um about 10 minutes left in the game to make it 5 nothing and that was the end of the scoring uh Co Peretti uh who we’ve ragged on a bit here on the show um also like Morgan Baron silencing the haters he went uh one plus two a goal and two assists for three points um Neil Pon had a PA of points um so overall overall a great game for the Jets um you know definitely I think um maybe a fire was lit fire was lit under them um after the the game a couple nights go against Anaheim um I don’t think you can kind of play like that um certainly not against good teams uh in the league so um for once the Jets uh you know got a jump uh you know to start the game and didn’t let go of that um which was really good to see um before we get into that more do a quick ad read um for hyperdrive hockey so chat uh I’m reading it here P says was this a big statement win or what go jets go uh and then he says is Lowry going to be okay um what will happen with that um yes P it was a it was a definitely a a good statant win against Minnesota who we’ve kind of had their um number uh this season I believe we’ve play we’ve beat them all three times I know we won in overtime in the second game of the year and then uh we beat them um about three weeks ago and then yeah I think we’re done with the the season series with Minnesota if I’m not mistaken and um uh it’s a team that plays a little bit similar to the Jets but I just feel like the Jets are a little bit more maybe ahead of them uh in terms of you know where their players are at the Jets are a little more playoff experienced and stuff um I so like I think um I’d be kind of happy if the Jets actually got to play Minnesota in the playoffs again cuz we kind of had their number I think it’s a good matchup for the Jets um obviously tonight tonight I guess showed that um and at the same time Minnesota’s coming off a back toback um you know they were nowhere near their best tonight uh you know I think clearly um and the Jets Jets took advantage of that so you’re definitely right p and then P says is Lowry going to be okay what will happen with that yeah so I didn’t I didn’t get to see that uh play p um we actually had a little bit of a medical emergency here um where I’m I’m watching I’m watching the game at my family’s house um with my um parents and siblings um and there was yeah we had a little bit of a medical emergency during the game um know paramedics were called um so I missed that I missed the Lowry getting injured but um all was okay here from my from my family’s uh end um everything’s you know good going to be okay which is good um so I didn’t see the Lowry uh injury in the third period I guess um so I’d have to wait to see the the postgame comments um from coach arneil uh or just getting waiting for an update about that but you know obviously that would be a you know a big loss if Lowry was going to miss any extended period of time as um you know he’s one of our you know most important Jets he’s our captain he plays um very very very big minutes um you in our lineup so um you know just fingers crossed that he’s going to be um you know okay for um you know the Toronto game on Monday and if not just you know after the you know after the Christmas break um yeah I wish I could tell you more about that P um yeah let’s we’ll go into the the second period now here I’ll do uh do another quick ad out the Wild and their whack Vibes um K what do you mean by whack Vibes what’s that supposed to mean but thank you yeah it was it was a good it was a good Jets win it was good for the the number one team uh in the league to to beat the number two team in the league that’s uh it was it was a good game for sure whack Vibes though what’s wise men soda whack what’s up with that um I’m a little worried hearing about the Adam Lowry uh possible injury um yeah that’s GNA that’s going to bug that’s going to bug me until I I check what’s going on with that because um you know as we’re seeing with the the loss of Dylan Samberg uh in the Jets lineup um it’s a it’s been a very hard um void to fill and you’re seeing kind of our defensive woses um with you know just trying to play with um you know missing a tough four defenseman having to put Hayden flurry in um you know Dylan sri’s spot and you know seeing the es and flows with that the positives and the negatives um yeah so I’m I’m reading here on Twitter or formerly known as Twitter X whatever it says um Lowry went down the tunnel with about uh 11 minutes left he came off the ice gingerly after his last shift um yeah he was walking gingerly I guess um however it’s 40 minutes after the game now and still no still haven’t got an update from the Press about that so I maybe they’re a little bit late and talking to the media I don’t expect there to be much of an update on Lowry yet they usually um evaluate um after the game you or like the next day we usually don’t they say oh it’s lower body we don’t know yet we’ll do tests tomorrow so I’m not expecting anything I guess um okay thank god um so one of the the Jets um beat reporters says that Scott arneal says that Adam Lowry should be fine is what the quote is after he left the game l in the third period thank God Hallelujah Cal he couldn’t I don’t think we could take another you know key injury right now um mbha Manitoba is that ball hawy yes says Cheers Cheers right back at you big five nothing to win here um for this period segment I was actually going to talk about um uh things I was going to talk about uh potential lineups potential combinations call-ups if um Lowry was uh Lowry was hurt what the Jets were going to going to do in his absence so I guess I won’t I don’t have to go into that now um so instead I’ll talk to to you mbha um I appreciate you stopping by watching our show and uh chatting a bit uh mbha says uh just came over from the legal curve show everyone is bashing Stanley uh tired of hearing it the same thing over and over again enough is enough uh I totally hear you yeah um I like I said I didn’t get to catch too much to the game um just cuz we had a little bit of a a medical emergency at at the house here um so I’m wonder I’m I’m actually kind of curious how um vly heinola and col Miller played together uh nbha because I know I think this is one of the first games that vly hanol has got kind of got to play on his um left side um on his you know his right his right side whatever pairing because you know Logan Stanley always plays on the left when they play together so um yeah I’m I I’ll say this nbha I’m also not a big um you know Logan Stanley fan or just you know how it’s kind of gone here and his time here and um you know how he’s played this year but um I’m not going to give him crap uh tonight um you know especially in a game that he did not play um so I’m not going to go down that I’m not going to go down that path um I think the I guess the block shot the injury kind of came at a good time where he can you know Miss this game and uh Saturday or this game and Monday against Toronto and then kind of go from go from there and I’m sure he’ll get back in the lineup um you know in the games before the new year um but I think it was It was kind of imperative I think that the Jets could at least the coaching staff could see villy on the left side playing with Colin Miller I think that’s a pairing that I think the the Jets wanted to kind of utilize um you know early in the season during training camp till villy got uh injured um NBA Chase says they were excellent they were excellent tonight uh referring to heinola and Miller so that’s that’s great um you know that’s a really good sign to see um you know I assume that’s it’s going to be the same it’ll be the same pairing for the Toronto game um you know the Toronto game is going to be even more of a test for them I think um you know we know how good Toronto is you know offensively uh we know how good Minnesota is offensively you know carrill capriso probably the best player in hockey this season um he’s got and he had zcell back on his wing um so it’s uh it’s it was it was definitely promising to see villy and uh you know col Miller out there shut shutting down that team and we’re going to see that again on Monday afternoon early G early game against Toronto I guess maybe fingers crossed that Austin Matthews is still injured and not playing um but it’s going to be a test for them and the rest of the Jets um we don’t we the Jets never beat Toronto like really ever I think that we’ve beaten them maybe once um out of out of the last 10 or 11 games if I’m not mistaken so it would be very very good to finally get a win you know over the Toronto Maple Leafs and especially you know to go off you know into the Christmas uh the Christmas couple days off with a smile in a good mood um you know winning a feeding you know a pair of you know the top teams in the league Minnesota and Toronto um True North ducky says villy was good tonight uh Jets pretty much dominated this game um and so I’ll be interested to see villy again I that that’s great to hear True North ducky um I’m really glad to hear uh Billy had a good game I think he hasn’t gotone a point yet this season in both the 10 games or so he’s played so I’m sure that’s kind of coming around the corner um I’m just yeah I’m excited I’m excited to hear villy played well I don’t want to make this a villy or Logan Stanley thing um I just feel like villy has not had the like the the the games that Logan Stanley has got in this organization and is not um I just feel we don’t know what we have in uh Billy yet because he’s not he’s been injured and then he’s never gotten to play with the you know the Jets and then when he has you know he’s been stapled with Logan Stanley um you know this year and then also Billy’s playing on the his offs side um you know which you know is a hindrance I don’t care if he said that he’s happy to play it like you would prefer to play on the side that you’re more dominant on um so I’m really glad to hear uh yeah chor say the was good tonight and then hopefully yeah tror ducky says we need to dust the leaves for once amen yeah I want nothing more than the Jets to you know come into Toronto on Monday early afternoon and me to be in a me to be in a good mood on the postgame show and the Jets to be um you know happy with a big a big route of Toronto nothing would make me smile more um and tror ducky says Peretti was the best jet um yeah wow um you know I I have not you know loved cul Peretti’s game for you know much of this season you know I’ve questioned a lot whether he can um you know be a top six player a top six contributor just cuz um you know I’ve said it so many times he has the two biggest flaws that any top six forward in the league can have and that he’s slow uh and that he’s soft um but to hear that he had a good game tonight he was our best jet he had a goal and two assists um it’s a good sign it’s definitely a good sign I thought he he’s looked actually a little bit better the last two last couple of games um I thought he had some good shifts uh in the San Jose game um and even in Anaheim um in nikolai’s return um yeah uh that’s it’s good to see I like to see more of col Peretti putting good games together um because I thought that maybe his top six uh role was kind of in danger and it because it definitely will once the Jets and like eventually make a trade I assume by the deadline and I assume they’re going to get a couple of defensemen and a potential top six top nine forward still um so it’s good to hear that Peretti had a a good game uh if you’re there if you guys are there mbha or tror ducky um let me know how uh Nikolai eers played because I I saw the goal um but how do he uh how do he look out there tonight I’ll do another uh do another ad read as we go to the the third period here um game on Winnipeg we’ll talk about cuz uh game over um you know what you’re watching right now has you covered after the game uh but in order to get ready to watch the Jets um you got you’ve got to get your game on too uh so game on Winnipeg is a short form uh you know Daily News podcast covering everything you need to know about the Winnipeg Jets um debuting very soon I hope like we’re in it’s Christmas time we still don’t have game on Winnipeg come on I believe all the other networks um all the other Canadian cities here with game over have it yet have it already so um you know we’re a little bit lacking as you can tell in Winnipeg but um I think we have a than checking Twitter for the updates you can just watch a quick video and get it all there um yeah anywh who um yeah so we’re into the third period now of the show I was asking the chats um kind of I didn’t hear anything back I was wondering how Nikolai eers played um if someone can kind of someone’s there wants to give their opinion um I think that we’re seeing even in the Anaheim game um you know but especially uh tonight um it’s the it’s definitely really really nice um for our depth when Nikolai eers is back in the lineup I think we saw how thin um things can get um you know offensively when only are top lines going um you know I wouldn’t call um you know Peretti and nikov both aren’t um you know crazy offensive players um the way they um I’ll answer you NBA in a second I’m just saying for Nikolai eers uh to be back uh playing well tonight um it’s just he’s such a dynamic dangerous player uh he gives us that secondary like that second you know offensive surge five on five uh he’s a driver um we don’t have many you know offensive play drivers on the Jets uh it’s just it’s really good to see Nick eers back in the lineup I really hope that we can keep him um you know in our organization after this year I know that might be difficult um but it’s it’s good to see Nick’s healthy uh playing well um mbha says I wouldn’t call Peretti soft uh I like the way he digs in the corners he’s been pretty Relentless lately trying to retrieve pucks down low yeah that’s true like I said he is he is a soft player compared to you know a lot of the a lot of the guys in the league um I think that’ll come in years he’s got to put on some um you know some more weight some more muscle mass probably um you know be more be more sturdy um but I did say that I did like um his game a little bit more lately you are definitely right he has been a little bit more Relentless um he’s been a little bit more in the corners he’s been taking it a little bit more he’s not really dishing out much but he’s taking it and you know able to you know make a pass while taking a hit um you know that’s a good step in the right direction um we need him like he’s a guy like if he’s a you know a top 10 draft pick Cole Peretti um and that has to be a player that we’re putting in the lineup uh you know come the playoffs right you know last year col Peretti played you know the entire season with the Jets um you know but as soon as the playoffs hit game one hit you know he’s a healthy scratch because you know the playoffs are a totally different animal a totally different style of play um you know than the regular season and it’s a very um rough physical tight less space on the ice type of game and you know Cole Peretti that’s not his game um you know guys like you know Lowry neita Rider players like that will thrive in the playoffs because they’ have that not just the two-way sense but they can they hit they they can take it they can dish it while also making plays and scoring goals Cole Peretti has struggled with that um so far I know that he’s young um but so he’s really going to have to keep taking steps forward in that regard if he’s a player that we can trust not only the not only to play in the top six in the playoffs to be in the lineup in the playoffs um you know I do think there’s going to be a rule for him regardless where he plays I do think he’ll be a top 12 forward for the Jets in the playoffs um but I want to see I just want to see more more two-way stuff more defensive more checking more as you said that Relentless stuff that we talked about um and that goes for a lot of the Jets um I’m not going to call the Jets a soft team but we don’t have like those um you know we don’t have a lot of you know can you is Kyle con Kyle Connor is not a he’s considered soft Mark shley can is kind of considered soft I know he’s had the big couple big hits in his uh day but you know nikai eers is soft like these are our top six Wingers and like you need guys with a little bit of grit in the playoffs you know that’s a big reason why the Jets haven’t been able to you know to win you know as Rick bonus said they’re best players we’re so much better than our best players it’s not even funny and it’s not because they don’t want it more I can promise you that every single hockey player on the ice for both teams wants to win the game you know just as much as the other one um you know but these other team like the players on Colorado last year they have they they the Jets might be more talented offensively than some of them but there’s a lot of intangibles that come with playoff hockey the you know Val nushin he tore the Jets apart he’s a physical presence he can score goals and he can dish he can play Two Way Nathan McKinnon obviously he’s a better player than Mark shley but he he’s one of the most like best um players in the world when it comes to playing in the playoffs and playing that style of hockey you know ranin has a little bit of grit um so the Jets if they are going to go out and acquire somebody um at the deadline offensively I know defensively they’re going to get someone um you know that can be top four that can you know throw the body of course they’re defenseman um but we cannot go down that path again of signing um trading for you know Shawn Monahan soft Tyler Tooley a dollar store Kyle Connor you know doesn’t hit it all you know shoots the puck well but is a a little bit worse version of Ky Connor like the Jets need to go out and get you know um some grit with some scoring and I know those are tough to come by because that’s what the game of hockey has kind of become in the NHL these last uh few years um I just don’t want to see we we just we can’t take any more soft um soft and skilled players because they are they’re definitely needed um but we need guys to protect those players you know as we saw when um that whole uh David was forced to you know get his face caved in um by Trent Frederick when the Jets whopped up Boston a nothing and you know we didn’t really have anyone aside from Lowry and I guess Stanley like there’s not many guys on the Jets that can you know throw the throw the MS around so you know that’s all I’ll say about that um I’ll do another quick ad read I’ll throw the merch up uh here we’re going to go overtime after this so if you have any questions um the Jets will then have I think three or four days off um I believe we’re back in action on uh Saturday uh the 28th that’s a home game against Ottawa at six o’clock Central so um ottawa’s looked uh you know very good as of late that’s going to be a tough game um no doubt and then after that on the 30th we’re at home for um a game against the Predators uh so yeah that’s kind of what’s kind of coming up ahead as I’m not seeing anything in the chat um I’m going to kind of sign off here so I appreciate um you know people that were in the chat checking out the show uh it’s good good to kind of
