welcome back everyone my name is Patrick you’re watching the Oilers rundown broadcast on the Oilers fanatic and the heavy hockey Network the Edmonton Oilers winners of five of their past six as we’ve mentioned a few times a one to nothing shut out loss to the Vegas golden knights that I think they should have won so should really be on a six-game winning streak so the Oilers seemingly on fire but they’re great play is about to be tested in a very big way coming up starting tomorrow the Tampa Bay Lightning at 700 p.m. at Rogers Place then it’s the Minnesota Wild on Thursday the Vegas golden kns once again on Saturday and the following Monday the Florida Panthers so the Oilers red hot right now but they’re about to be tested by four very good teams so we’ll see just how far this team has come a big part of the Oilers turnaround has been the play of gender Stuart Skinner he has a 921 save percentage in his last six starts 62 and one overall in his last nine so when you get that kind of goal tending winning tends to come along with it obviously the big guns Conor McDavid Leon dry Sidle have been coming through Zack Heyman has been amazing since returning to the lineup getting some depth scoring from guys like Jeff Skinner and facil pod koulen so everything coming together for this team at just the right time they always tend to get hot in that December January period dash at heavy hockey is picking another perfect January here for the Edmonton Oilers coming up so we’ll see what happens but the Oilers got to take it one step one day one game at a time here but things definitely pointing in the right direction and with the improved play of the team lately as a result we’re not going to see much different when it comes to the lineup tomorrow night against Tampa Bay based on today’s practice it looks like we’re getting NJ McDavid Heyman pod kls and dry Sidle kaanan Yan Mark Henrik and Skinner Perry Ryan and brown echoman buard nuron stetcher kolak and emberson and Stuart Skinner getting the start against the Tampa Bay Lightning one other piece of news that we did get today that was a little bit unexpected head coach Chris noblock confirming that Victor arvidson has resumed skating and the hope is that he’ll participate in a team practice this week so positive news there on arvidson great to hear that arvidson is back on the ice hopefully practicing this week doesn’t sound like he’s going to get in any game action this week maybe maybe a return on Saturday or the following Monday against the Florida Panthers might be likely there so we’ll see what happens as I mentioned in yesterday’s video the Oilers will have to think about their roster a little bit if Victor harson is indeed ready to go someone’s going to have to come out is it the new guy casber kaan is it a guy like Derrik Ryan who has failed to score at all this year so far we’ll wait and see what happens but it might still be a little while longer for Victor arvidson so the Oilers not looking to make that decision just yet but I think that’s all I got for now guys kind of a slow day for the Edmonton Oilers newswise but McKenzie Blackwood did get moved today from San Jose to Colorado so a potential playoff rival for the Edmonton Oilers in the months to come get stronger the Colorado Avalanche now adding both McKenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood to their tandem so a potential Oilers goalie Target in the future is now off the board that’s all I have for now guys let me know your thoughts on everything and in the comment section below if this is your first visit to the channel and you like what you see please consider liking and subscribing for all the latest Oilers content you’ve been watching the Oilers fanatic thanks for being a fan [Music]
