Nebraska just made a massive move the Huskers have hired ucf’s Addison Williams to be the team’s next defensive backs coach so today’s video I’m going to go over who this guy is what he brings to the table and everything you need to know along with my instant reaction so really quick I am fired up about this if you are to hit that like button and really quick I got a question for you are you a Die Hard Nebraska fan yes do you want daily football content talking about your favorite team yes do you want recruiting updates yes do you want T portal updates yes do you want breaking news updates yes I got you covered for every single one of those things so listen if you’re a Die Hard Nebraska fan join the best family here on husk YouTube And subscribe we’re getting so close to 9,000 but without further Ado let’s get into it going over the news Nebraska has just hired Central Florida’s Addison Williams to be the team’s next defensive backs coach and this guy’s resume is stacked to say the least last year for the gold Knights he was their Cod defensive coordinator defensive backs coach and associate head coach and he was one of the best in the business according to Central Florida’s website he had one of the best secondaries in all of the Big 12 only allowing about 200 passing yards per game they were also third in the Big 12 in team pass efficiency defense so it’s safe to say he’s one of the better secondary coaches but the fact that he was also a defensive coordinator is very massive it means that he’s a riser head coach I told you guys when we’re trying to hire are positional coaches one thing I look for young and energetic and risers guys who still have their best days of coaching ahead of him he absolutely does he’s a guy who’s very young uh again around about 35 years old give or take again still a lot has his best days of coaching ahead of him this guy could be a future head coach and he’s a great recruiter as well he’s brought a bunch of big- time recruits to Central Florida four-star defensive uh defensive um players in that secondary so he’s a guy who’s a good recruiter he’s energetic he’s a good defensive backs coach he’s a guy who is ties to the State of Florida he has ties to the east coach specifically he was coaching uh with Ferman in the past as a defensive coordinator he’s been with auburn he’s been with castal Carolina so he’s a guy who has a lot of East Coast connection specifically in the South that’s going to be huge for recruiting but he’s a guy who I mean is just a phenomenal developer as well and I mean look at the stats the fact that he led Central Florida have one of the best secondaries in the Big 12 this year that speaks volumes um so I’m just really fired up about this hire this is a guy who’s brought a lot of guys to the NFL he’s a good recruiter he’s young he’s energetic he’s a riser he’s getting better he could be Nebraska’s next defensive coordinator if John Butler doesn’t work out or if John Butler does work out and he goes and takes a head coaching job this could be your next guy here so this is a phenomenal hire it’s not going to get as much love as it deserves but he checks almost every single box for me the fact that again he’s a good developer the fact that he’s a good recruiter the fact that he’s young he’s energetic he’s ready to go he sell his best days of coaching ahead of him he’s going to be a really really good hire for Nebraska shout out to Matt Ru for making this happen but again Addison Williams our new defensive backs coach just announced by Sean Callahan and we we take one of Scott Frost coaches as well Scott Frost just hired by Central Florida we take him there so again guy who’s been a defensive coordinator in the past he goes back to be a defensive backs coach all right guys let me know down below your thoughts around Nebraska’s new higher here let me know in the comment section hey if you made this SP on the video make sure to hit that like button and subscribe as always folks go grab go met roll and see you the next one
