saw the three-point shots he made tonight 8 of 15 which was also a career high for May 3s while Christmas Day I think is an aberation from how Steph Curry usually plays on big stages big stages are his thing he can make those big time and he also does a wonderful job of entertaining all of us keeping the crowd into it which is a huge six-man Advantage for the Warriors to have all of Chase Center behind you as well so every time he makes those big time buckets everyone gets hyped everyone gets excited his teammates get excited but you see his face today he wasn’t impressed with himself he wants to win he wants to be better and I’m sure he doesn’t want to carry that burden all by himself Santa’s been roing around the world with a big old bag of gifts yeah that’s been step as well for the Warriors for a while and he wants to be able to say hey can somebody else get on this sleigh ride with me he needed a little bit more of that from the Warriors tonight there’s no doubt about that it’s a priority for the Warriors to figure out what are the pieces that Steph and particularly Draymond as well need around them to be able to show off John think did his thing tonight I want to give him that credit there was an absence at the basket when Anthony Davis went down early in the first quarter Jonathan kaming took advantage of that went to the basket took took took the whole team to the basket he couldn’t hit free throws though right so now you’re looking around the team who else can be that same sort of player Andrew Wiggins played decently well hey how about Andrew Wiggins let’s pick up his tape double double of the Season Zena and he’s played very well remember the last two seasons went through it personally with his father and his father passed away of course before the season but it feels like things have been lifted off of his shoulders he’s playing free and easy 21 points 12 rebounds I think wigs has been solid this season so alongside Steph as we look for help for Stephen Curry here Wiggins is a guy that you can count on here on both sides of the floor two-way player exactly both sides of the floor having to guard LeBron James while also putting the ball in the basket and what I loved to here his three-point shot was flowing tonight you saw you saw him getting shots within the rhythm of the offense you saw him being able to just be smooth with his offense not having to force and create cuz that’s when particularly when you look at Andrew Wiggins you look at Jonathan kaminga whenever they have to create there’s a lot of traffic right whether they have to do a lot of dribbling and then people are around them trying to figure out where do we go what do we do when you guys shots being created for players not only Steph but also Andrew that’s what you want to see in the Warriors offense what happened on that last possession against AAR re what did you see there from him defensively well he was locked in but again when you are on defense your job is to push your assignment towards the basket on the outside so he did what he was supposed to do they just didn’t have someone come over and help and that’s what you were expecting and you saw that multiple times tonight Draymond Green was an amazing help Defender as he always is but there was no one there and so he got beat and the help to even try to deter uh Austin Reed some pulling up or doing anything to turn back around not there yeah not there and that wasn’t Andrew wiggin’s best work there individually but as you said he was probably expecting help and also re gets the layup and the Lakers leave Chase center with a victory the first of four bats ups but between these two clubs that was a second double double for Andrew Wiggins or so unfolded um we were fighting um just fight that’s what I would describe it as um at the end of the day we rely on our defense and we just got to execute our coverages down the stretch we did that for the most part last play we got a little loss but at the end of the day we fought and um there’s nothing much you can do what was the plan defensively on that last play coming out of the timeout um really just we’re trying to just not let them catch easy not let braon catch easy so we got it away from Braun and then um Reeves caught it he he got drove by wigs but um low man I didn’t know who the low man was but usually we have a low man to stop that and then the drop but didn’t happen so we just got to look at that and execute it next time you’ve seen a lot of great step shots but have you seen something that absurd the corner three-pointer yeah that was that was ridiculous uh he didn’t even look like he had in his hand when he shot it but that that’s going to go up there for me with one of one of my favorites for sure uh wish we could have pulled that one out but to see him perform at this level at his age it’s just ridiculous at this point Steve admitted that morale is little down right now obviously I mean you guys have three games left on the calendar year how do you guys kind of turn it around to get momentum into next year yeah morale is down um but it’s not in a sense of um the players not liking each other we all love being around each other and being here um but um we had a little meeting and talk this today and we’re at the point where it’s this can go one way or this can go the other and so we got to figure this thing out um and we will was that meeting like what walk through today uh yeah just just going through going through the game and Coach always says it’s been tough um but we got to just keep chipping away because we’re right there last few games we’ve been right there and uh we just got to break through was that meeting kind of Coach lit or or did the no that was that was play L player L me Draymond talk oh Steph Steph and um do you feel like it is kind of a pivot point of the season oh absolutely um only be my second year um but still kind of knowing what type of seasons and basketball Seasons go um you just got to keep fighting and he he’s right um we’re at a point right now where you can either kind of let go and kind of droping few more or you can get back on the horse and start winning
