Jersey did you get boy KY oh very cool that’s a cool message what does what does Kyrie mean to you I mean he means a lot to me I mean just basketball memories in general being a fan of him and LeBron and Cleveland and then um coming up in high school I got a chance um to work out with him and KD they had invited me out to um work out when I was 16 years old during the pandemic and I it was like Christmas early man um it really meant a lot to me especially that they believed in me and that they were telling me that I could get to that level one day so um it mean it means the world to me I really look up to Kyrie you’re finishing inside the pain the last few games um what’s is it are things slowing down for you almost in a way when you’re kind of by the rim or certain things that you’re going to are working better just just kind of curious from your vage what’s been working for you there uh 100% I’m just more comfortable more game experience simple as that um being able to play with one of the best players ever to pick up a basketball he Demands a lot of attention and I guess some looks at The Rim um in the half court and then in transition it’s all about just being confident attacking the rim with conviction and um just trying to get two points every time down Michael thinks you guys might have kind of let off the gas a little bit knowing that the was coming back what was your read on that first half knowing that he was back in the way you guys played I can’t speak for nobody else but I can speak for myself that had nothing to do with how I came out and played today um I’m going come out and play 100% every time I step on a basketball court for myself for my family and for God not for you know any body else so um that might have to be a question you ask other people but I don’t think anybody was like Oh Nicole is back let’s take a chill pill and let’s just let them win the game was $500,000 on the line tonight what do you think was the issue with the team in the first half I think we were just laxidasical um I think we were just I don’t know what got into us um there was too many lapses um not at all incumbent of a good team so that’s um definitely something that we got to clean up and I just think that we got to continue Drilling in everybody’s heads that like we’re not just going to come out and win basketball games cuz we’re the Denver Nuggets we got to come out and play with some purpose and play harder than everybody else and I think that when we’re playing with full engagement and full effort I don’t think that there’s a team better than us in this league but I mean that can’t be a if thing um we got to be able to rely on people myself included playing hard every night you have the shop Take the Lead again tonight and we Nails in the clutch you’re 100% shooting in the clutch this year are those minuts different for you from knowing it’s a close game down the stretch do they feel different to you or is it all just trying to maintain being even kill and play the same way 100% I mean it means so much to me this is you got to understand that this is the first time that I’ve played clutch moments in basketball since I was a junior in high school I didn’t play my senior year I was never in in the clutch um my my oneye Au UCLA and it was to the point almost where you know basketball was taken away from me as a whole so um to get to this level and be relied on and trusted and have that responsibility in the clutch nothing means more to me and I got 100% Focus every time I take a shot not only in the clutch but anytime throughout the game um obviously the clutch moments mean the most because you got a chance to win a basketball game but um yeah it just means a lot to me you guys really good at playing from behind a lot this season but how much more energy does it take out of everyone throughout the course of a game when you’re playing back from 15 20 25 I mean it’s tough I mean I don’t think I came out I came out at the end of the third and I came back in for a defensive possession at the end of the third and then I didn’t come out again so I basically played the entirety of the second half so yeah it’s tiring having to dig ourselves out of leads and it just you know it just decreases the room for error so little I mean we borderline got to play Perfect in our second half sometimes just so we have a chance to win a ball game and that shouldn’t be how it is I think we got to give ourselves a little bit more cushion and a little bit more leeway so that when it does get late game that some of our starting guys have rested and that they’re ready for the moment but I mean there were things we could have done to win this game tonight I mean we could have executed better defended better most definitely um but yeah what gives you confidence that the team can bounce back and like it bounced back before obviously but what gives you confidence that this group can find that gear again we don’t have no choice we not about to roll over and give up um especially not myself um I’m going to I’m going to encourage all my guys I’m going to keep confidence instilled in all my guys just as they’ve done for me before when I’ve had bad games bad performances and we’re just going to continue to be positive we’re going to continue to be an elite team and um yeah there is no choice with a quick turn around in LA tomorrow is it a good thing because you get the bad taste out of your mouth or is it even tougher because it took so much extra effort in that second half to overcome that first half deficit I think we got another opportunity to play basketball so um I think everyone myself included is scratching an inching to pick up a ball again so um we’re going to take this flight get to La get some good rest tonight and be ready to go tomorrow app
