e hey guys welcome to the stream this is R we got coming to live from Swan Lake first nation here in Manitoba we’re here at the Swan Lake first nation Community Hall and we’re here for the Ninth Annual Swan Lake first nation eightball tournament it is day two in the event and we’re continue on with with the open division singles which will be starting around noon we’re now currently just beginning the women’s division singles and we’re in a matchup it’s an aside oh wait I got the wrong table it’s an aside first round matchup I was just checking out my table this is a good thing every time I do a little screw up like this is a good thing it means we’re going to have a lot of great pool all right so I’m not sure who won the first game but I’m going to take a look at the bracket see if it’s available uh digital pool if you’re looking for the brackets you can find them under digital pool um just look under uh slfn which stands for Swan Lake first nation um you should be able to find all brackets under there under that same um lettering as L I’m doing it right now myself all right so we got the ladies tournament going in it says 9% complete already there’s a couple of forfeits um bracket all right and they’re not using the app so who won the first game you or her who won the first game this is only game two now right all right so this is uh ry’s up one right now and this is the second game CAU up uh 16 ladies for the tournament today and we have a bunch of really good players having showdowns uh for the first couple hours and then we’re going to have the open division singles continued which should be um it should be at noon and I believe I’m not sure if we’re doing the aside final or not it’s a husband wife aside final so they they would maybe play but I just kind of feel like they were just figure out like you go to the BS side I go to the aide type thing um so we may or may not have the aide final from the open division we’ll figure that out as we get there we do have a bside semifinal going for sure today and then we have two semi-finals going today for the bside on the open division then we’ll have the bside final championship match that should all be going out throughout the afternoon starting at noon all right I’m just going to do some sharing here real quick for the people that wanted to T in and watch the action I don’t want to swim all right this is least Cameron trying to work out the table oh I just came up short couple of adjustments there should have maybe steep back and then step back in she kind of did though cuz she like she stood up and then went back down but you’re supposed to step back like when you step away from the shot literally step away and then you go back into the shop and the reason why you do that is because like when you kind of stand up and don’t back up you see the adjustment that you’re supposed to make but physically you don’t make the adjustments so that’s why you step back and then you go back into the shot cuz now when you go back into the shot everything on your fundamentals which is the biggest part of the execution on the shot is going to come up therefore you’re going to get better delivery that’s really what it comes down to in this game is just being consistent in your delivery so the mechanics the fundamentals are the most important part of the game something that a lot of people don’t pay a lot of attention to and I’m telling you because I I coach right so I have I have people that I’ve met that have been playing for 20 years um and like we get into the onto the table to start working and the very first thing I noticed is their fundamentals are way up so then we do little Corrections on their fundamentals first is basic fundamentals then Advanced fundamentals and once they have the advanc fundamentals under control and then the game changes completely and improves um it’s just so important man I the fundamentals and then the focus level too so like stepping back stepping back in all those little things you should always step into a shot and never just take a shot right and what I mean by that that’s the reset right once you figure out what you’re going to do you step back then you step back into the shot that’s the way it’s supposed to be it’s just a process that a lot of players take a long time trying to figure out oh sh almost got lucky with the eight ball there blocking the shots but at least a shot on the nine and the [Music] and now she’s down one nothing right now so she’s feeling a little rough around the edges but that’s going to change as um she progresses through these tables these rocks [Music] has the shot to the side pocket on the 15 ball now it depends on how the player thinks but like I would set up for this 15 ball then the 10 ball then the 13 ball and then with the 13 ball I was set up for the 14 with a downward angle for the 11 ball technically right now she could take the 11 ball if she wanted to cuz the shots available you might take a look at it it’s a tougher shot though so I’ll go with that 10 ball Stone and she’s got a little bit of angle to work with here so now she can set up for the 14 J has to take the 13 cuz I has no pocket and right now it’s the only pocket available that she’s looking at so the good thing there is that she didn’t stand up that was good she didn’t she didn’t have much body movement but it could have been maybe like some elbow movement at the last second b a lucky break here she’ll get the second game do nothing women’s division Showdown lots of good players here and we’re just getting started in the day man we’re going to have the team event coming up it starts at 6 o’ um the draw will be done at 3 3:10 or something like that just after 3:00 cuz they’re they’re given until 3:00 to have teams get in here to register so if you have a team and you want to register make sure you get here by 3 than break there from try Bernard two game lead she’s a tough player to play against I mean she plays an open divisions all the time and knows how to play against the guys too comfortable in her game a lot of knowledge she’s won a lot of tournaments throughout her short career as a pool player and she’s only getting better with experience in time and at least Cameron she’s just a young guy you know she’s just starting off in her game been playing for a couple of years a few years and I don’t think like she really took the game seriously until about I say maybe two years ago she started taking a little bit more serious and then last year she started taking it even more serious um and you can see like there’s a lot of work being done with her game she’s starting to develop better skills and and more confidence at the table as far as her like how good she’s been playing she’s been doing pretty well for herself um doing while in the women’s division tournaments usually finish in the top spots and for the open divisions she hasn’t had that much success but she’s had a lot of experience and she’s played against some good players and beat a lot of good players too um but it’s just you know it’s exhausting playing in the open tournaments and um yeah so it’s just a matter of experience and time before she starts handling those ones too but a great competitor at a young age already and I’m thinking she’s going to have a promising career by the time she’s you know mid 20s she’ll be dominating most of the most of the tournaments and she’ll probably be like the first person that everybody calls when you have these events for it’s a team event and you have to have a female player She’ll always get the phone first phone call that’s some time like I said you know she’s got to go through the ropes and figure out everything in the game um I think she’s playing pretty good one of the things that she might want to work on a little bit more as pattern play um and then maybe focusing you know trying to work on the focus which I think focus is something you have to kind of more or less look into um reading material uh or an experienced coach so somebody that’s like at a pro level that’s been playing for a long time they might be able to give you some good tips mentally to be able to get to grow in that area right that’s the one thing about pool I was talking to somebody about this yesterday saying that you know pool’s a funny game because you spend your youth years just trying to figure out how to play the game and then you get into like your mature yours and you finally start to get going but everybody around you is playing really good too and then when you finally start mastering all the details when you start finally start figuring out everything well you’re getting much older now and your eyesight is going your body is aching you know so it’s like you finally figured out how to play your best pool but your body just won’t keep up with it but that’s the game right so that if you’re a young player out there playing um dive into it man go out there and just play in the tournaments train as much as you can get those young eyes up there and just play your game the best you can while you can cuz I’m telling you like age has no discrimination at all once you get older your eyesight goes your body starts hurting and and I see a lot of the older people that are like older than me they’ll say like I can’t do anything after an hour waiting like I just want to go home that’s the difference right there right like you just want to go home man you’re done with it but if you’re like you know young and you got young eyes and good body like you don’t care you can wait 3 hours for your match you’re fine you’re ready to go man you can play a 12-h hour tournament and be like absolutely fine for the next day but if you’re like I don’t know 50 60 even 70 70 probably even worse eight hours of play is just too much 10 10 to 12 hours of play like they usually don’t even sign up for those tournaments so I saying man if you’re out there and you’re trying to get your game on get your game on you know enjoy it and but always remember that it’s the efforts you put in that give you the rewards at the end if you’re not putting in the efforts the real efforts you’re going to be stagnant for many years and going to be one of those people that 20 years later finally figure out how to play right your right side it’s going another thing about pool to is that it usually takes a lot of players like good 20 minutes half hour playing before they actually get into stroke some people can just get into stroke right away but the people like that are the ones that like really work on their game and and develop their stroke to a nice level where it’s consistent um I played a lot of snooker back in 2017 2018 and that developed my stroke pretty good so there’s times that I’ll go like you know a couple of weeks without playing but if I get to the table and I warm up my stroke I’m good to go like I don’t need anything else I just need to find my stroke and I guess the speed of the table is important too so that that’s usually two ways that I warm up when I’m warming up for any tournament is I’ll I’ll get my stroke going first and then I start working the speed of the table cuz you need to know that information right if you don’t know the speed of the table you’re not going to be able to read the shots properly and you’re likely going to get out of position so usually that’s the the two things that I focus on when I get into a into a tournament and I need to warm up she doesn’t like the option of shooting over the ball but she’s also looking at the pattern to figure out the simplest way to finish this I think she might have the shot on the 10 Ball but it’s really tight and then the shot on the 15 ball is the one that she could easily make but the tangent line takes her towards that left side top corner pocket and there’s a small risk that she going to maybe scratch that way cuz you’re going have to play some top GLS to make that 15 bone and this is the tougher shot but I think this is the better shot the only thing is that if she had the draw option that would probably be the best way to go cuz then she could have addressed that 13 ball and cleared off the bottom almost it’s not really that big of a deal though cuz now she’s got the 15 ball she can come across for the 12 which will set her up for that 13 ball afterwards though because she has that 10 ball at the top she might want to deal with that right away also yeah she just got a make some adjustments man I can see there’s just a little rough around the edges right now still confidence isn’t there and the way it works in pool man like if you miss a couple of shots confidence starts going and then it’s hard to get back into a confident mind state state of mind sorry um and that’s because like we’re in our own heads right and and something that you have to learn to overcome with time higher level players the way they work is they usually forget the Miss and they just reset him to the next shot and they’re fine but that takes a lot of experience man you got to lose a lot of tournaments for your field that way to understand that it’s it’s okay you know you’re going to be all right as long as you have a shot um gos the process like I said looks like Trace is going to take advantage of that Miss and a three- game lead which will’ll also put her on the hill because it’s a race to four and not much of these can do but maybe having her back against the wall might be the right thing for to be able to wake up a lot of players do that they get into survival mode and then once they’re in Survival Mode man that’s it they start picking up their game like I say confidence on the pool table is a weird thing man CU like you miss a couple of shots you feel like you’re playing bad so you don’t play good but you make a couple of shots or you win a game your confidence goes up now you start focusing more you get a little hungry so having your back against the wall could be a good thing for a lot of players but I don’t recommend for you to play that kind of game man cuz you’re not always going to win you’re always going to be upset when you decide to come back last minute and I come up short on the bank but she played on a two-way with the draw so she left very small opportunity here for release I’m thinking she’s going to want to take that ball on the left side I have the option to play safety here which I think is a better option what I would do is I would just cut that 15 ball towards that side pocket called just a shot and get that c ball right back to where it is cuz then you’re going to force her to play a bank again you never know she might make it but you’re hoping that she doesn’t and if you really don’t want to move that 15 ball you can just Bank up that 10 ball and then just draw it back from the 10 ball yeah there you go just like that once that ball to come on the open I’ll just gra another problem down table you see she’s feeling a little bit of frustration right now because like things are start working [Music] out Bally trying to find the kick shot off the back [Music] ra I don’t think the side will work but I do think that maybe if she kick it to the corner that might work she’s working around though she’s got a banking system I watched her do the system before and she’s pretty good with it see if she can figure out the shot and it looks like there’s enough Gap behind that eightball for to be able to kick it off the back row oh nice effort and for at leas she’s a little bit fortunate there because try opened up both of the stripes were tied up at the same time she’s a little bit unfortunate here because she’s going to have to come up with a really good shot here no real opportunity available shot to the side might be all right but the problem with taking the shot to the side if you don’t make it you’re going to sell out that a so you almost have to like play the bank safe again draw back towards the right side cushion so that way you leave just a reverse Bank to the corner now if your opponent knows that to make those shots you’re in trouble but if she doesn’t you might get another chance to the table the decision she makes now is going to be what carries on this match or ends the match CU if she makes a good decision she ends up winning this game is two to one we got a game on she ends up losing this game it’s 3 nothing with the confidence being down right now it’ll be really tough for to get back into the match these are the growing pains this what you’re supposed to learn she do call just a shot I think you going to try to draw back here leave the long Bank Corner shot reverse B corner it’s all about C ball control this shot have to take your time to work it out it’s C ball and stroke cuz she’s jacking up right so she’s got to stroke this ball pretty good without scratching might even take the cut on yeah she take the cut on pretty safe from scratching but she’s looking at that caram angle in case she comes off that 13 and scratches with small possibility but it all depends on what you put for spin I think if you hit it with Top Spin bigger chance Center ball should be all right he Ed up a little bit wasn’t sure about the outcome on that one not bad stroke development that’s what she’s going through right now bounce off the rail that’s not bad but not great if it goes past the AO which I think it does should be all right but she’s going to get tempted here to draw this shot to get set up for the same corner on the next one yeah see and I was going to create a tougher shot still has an opportunity to make it though one thing about this is that her Focus level is starting to come into play now she going to make that shot and looks like she’s going to be good for the eight ball to get on the board eight to the corner is good good one tell you what we’re in for some action today what’s happening chals how you doing man I’m going to pull out the chat here so I can see everything uh he says good morning Rod good morning Chris how you doing man uh how did you end up doing last night I’m still alive man I it’s a it’s really weird but I have like this like no quit mentality and and I had a really like it was it was like fighting two demons last night you know um one part of me just wanted to give up and walk away so like I wasn’t really focused shooting a little fast just not really there and then like my my no equit mentality kind of gets me into trouble because what happens is that if I get an opportunity at the table I’ll do my best to win that rack even though I’m trying to quit or I’m trying to give up cuz I don’t want to play no more I’m still going to make the effort because it’s my habit like if there’s something in front of me to do I’ll just do the job right and so that’s what happened last night is I got I was down there’s a couple of matches like that actually one match I was down 4 to1 and I came back on that one ended up winning four straight games that was my last match last night I won four straight games last night to be able to come back and win 54 um then I had another match I was like that too with Terry Boo like that match if he would have if he would have not scratched on that last break that he broke on there was like a 90% chance he was going to beat me 5 to four but he scratched and then he gave me a turn at the table and I had like the craziest table man to work with but made a couple of big shots on him man and then I got out it was there was a couple really really big shots it was really gross the way that I finished the table but um not gross in the way like I got lucky but gross in the way that like I can’t believe I made those kind of shots on him um but that’s the way it is right like I don’t know pool is a weird thing man and one of the things that I’m starting to understand more and more is that that no quit mentality comes in through a lot of times um when you don’t really expected to come through um so yeah there a lot of couple those matches that you know I should have been knocked out from um I survived so I don’t know we’ll see I have a chance to be able to get into the top three I’m in the final four right now I I have one more match to go and then I can get into the top three and and from there it’s all money man see how it goes tough opponents so whichever opponent I play I’m going to out a spot on my game and um they’re both good players so I ain’t scared I’m ready Raymond Phillips on YouTube how you doing says where are you guys Canada yeah we’re in Canada man we’re in well not winning Pig Chris we’re out in Swan Lake Swan Lake first nation Manitoba which is about 2 hours West slightly south of Winnipeg PR says yes they in wiip MOBA and Raymond says greetings from Maryland USA thanks for tuning in Raymond I hope you enjoy the coverage man there’s going to be some good competition I try to do my best with the commentary I do spend a lot of time talking about mentality though and a lot of I don’t know if people like that or not but I find that like mentality is one thing that we don’t talk about enough and I feel like it’s something we should talk about more so I do focus a little bit more on the mentality side of things when I’m when I’m doing commentary and I have like a like a grandmas mentality right so my skills may not be right caught up with my mentality but mentality is good you’re probably learn a lot from it a lot of people say that you can look into like tennis books for mentality and they really really help um I don’t know if that’s that helps I mean reading does help you because you look into the perspective of another person in their mind and how they think then you’re like yeah you know I’m going to think like that so just by trying to adapt that mentality that the that the person has that you read their book or whatever it could help you to become better at the game that you’re trying to get better at whether it’s tennis or pool like us but what I think is that the only way to really learn to be able to grow properly is through experience um I’m not saying that you should go out there or lose but what I am going to say is the more that you lose the more you desire to win the better your game becomes it’s just a process right two things that I think that the world doesn’t talk enough about well actually three things that the world doesn’t talk enough about um I think like mentality mental health one of the things that a lot of people don’t talk about they’re talking about it lately over the last few years but it’s uh it’s more like a like a reminder not really a like something that people can grow from and death is the other thing that people don’t ever talk about um and I feel like all those things are important mentality for like whatever you do in life is going to be important you know work or school or uh career whatever is you’re trying to do in life pool or Sports um and the other thing is the Death part right because I think people don’t talk enough about it and they don’t they take it for granted that that it’s I don’t know like everybody that’s born is going to die that’s just the reality of life you’re not going to live forever but the more that people understand about that process the more they’re going to be able to succeed in life because they’re going to understand that their Lim the time is limited so therefore they have to do more with their time and it doesn’t matter if you’re like 20 years old or 30 years old or 50 years old at one point you’re going to face that um but the sooner that you look into that and you understand that you’re here for a reason to be able to do more in life with whatever it is that you’re supposed to do um the sooner you get on your goals and the the better life becomes because then you don’t have any regrets so that’s the reason why I talk about like that right is not trying to make it depressing I’m just saying that everybody has a purpose out here in life we got to figure out what we got to do but there’s not enough talk about the fact that you know time is precious right and you should enjoy every moment whether it’s a tough one or or a good one that’s what builds a character in the end every every thing or event that you survive in your life builds you up to become better or stronger through that experience just like P and now I might be going off a little bit cuz I had like 6 hours sleep so I’m a little energetic right now that extra half hour hour to an hour just makes me feel all crazy again for those of you that are watching right now I got a question that I want to ask people that usually looking to sleep for their game um professional players say that you’re supposed to sleep like about 12 hours before you go into a tournament most professional athletes in sports they will usually have like an afternoon nap to have that extra energy for the game right in pool I personally find that being a little tired is actually a good thing for you while at least for me anyway um because you’re a little bit tired it makes you feel like you need to focus more um and that can be a good thing to use in in in your game because then you’re going to feel like w I’m too relax no good so you’re going to tighten up a little bit take your time a little bit more really work on your focus and delivery and that’s going to build up a better player in the long run better competition throughout the day the only thing about the like sleeping say 6 hours which is what I like um not personally like for life but for pool I like 6 hours um I think 6 hours is perfect because like you’re tired but you’re rested so you’re not that bad so she was playing a conservative shot there just trying to play safety and I think the times when I’ve had like 8 to 10 hours sleep I’m almost too relaxed so then like I don’t know like the shock making is decent but the mental side of the game is not there it’s just too relaxed so that’s why I like sleeping a little less when I play in tournaments cuz then now like the mentality side of things your brain is aware that you’re tired so it’s like okay well we’re trying to play our best here guy so let’s focus right um and that’s kind of the way it works I don’t know if it works for you guys but in your opinion what’s the right amount of sleep for let’s say a tournament like this where you’re playing 3 days each day what’s your what’s your proper time to sleep that you feel works best for you I’m thinking 6 hours is the best 6 and 1/2 hours actually probably on point 7 hours is When Things become a little bit more relaxed because now you’re actually sleeping properly so you’re feeling more rested stamina why you going to last longer so to day but mentality wise you might be too relaxed and make mistakes camera is crooked yeah so I can’t I can’t do much about it right now cuz I came in a little bit late so I have to start straight to the [Music] Stream So after this match is done I’m going to try to straighten it out okay now on I can see it I talking about you can see clearly it’s off level what’s the other people looking like this one looks centered and good so and part of the reason why it’s like this is because my tripod I bought honestly man when it comes to equipment never try to save money um I bought these uh tripods cuz they were like pretty cheap and I thought like why not um they promised to be like 9 foot height but they only give L about 7 ft in height alt together the other thing is that there’s a spr bring action set up for each level to like get that 9t and that second one is like locked in so um the tripod itself the legs on the bottom are flimsy so then that’s why it kind of like sets up like this and I really got to pay a lot of attention to detail when it comes to setting up the tripod with that kind of tripod so um the other ones that I have are like I have one that’s like um uh I’m going to say maybe like 300 350 I think it was $350 for this tripod um and it’s amazing cuz it goes up 12 ft right and it’s really sturdy really thick stable good balance no issues on the legs or anything like that the other tripods are bought them for $20 each and that’s the one that you guys are watching right now it’s this tripod one of them about safety she’s left the seven ball though looks like Elisa is finally starting to get into gear walking around more looking at things taking her time Focus level is going to be something just got to work on more but that will come as the match develops erold Cameron Shane Taylor welcome to the stream guys Kathy secret how you doing says hi y’all Maggie McGrath we’re talking on Facebook right now I’m going to go to YouTube right away Maggie McGrath says camera is crooked but I’m enjoying the stream anyway I keep waiting for the balls to roll downhill yeah I know that’s just it’s camera effect uh Mike Meers says 66y old I agree yeah so and then uh Maggie mcgraa 71 yep yeah just one of those things like the energy just kind of goes away right and and then everything else with life too like as far as like you know living your life to the fullest that kind of stuff one thing you don’t want to do in life is like realize something when it’s too late you know and that includes on the table like honestly I talk about the table and life all together because I feel like they’re intertwined I feel like the lessons that you can learn on the pool table are the lessons that you need to learn in life um your dedication your focus your commitment to what you’re doing at the table should be the same way in life and now you can be like a person that’s struggling with a lot of things in life but if you change that aspect of your mind and you start becoming more Progressive in your life things are going to turn around for you man you’re going to do some big things some time and I’m telling you that’s that’s through my own experience right I’ve been in in some bad positions where like life was just bad man like losing jobs losing homes um just struggling to get it through in life man and somehow throughout my stubbornness while I was practicing and trying to develop my game I understood that the game is was actually trying to teach me more about life than it was teaching me about the game itself and so then I started applying the fundamentals that I had on the table into my life and now the life fundamentals change next thing you know success is coming my way life is becoming better uh mentality is better all those things um and now I live a life with a purpose which is not a bad thing it’s not a bad thing to live a life with a purpose it’s okay to enjoy life and just have fun too man don’t get me wrong doesn’t every not everything has to be all serious um but yeah life will change with your mentality and and po will teach you that mentality I’m telling you right now like I wasn’t even supposed to be around on this life I was so bad that I didn’t want to be around anymore it was just losing too much struggling with the work struggling to figure things out in life and it seemed like no matter what I was doing I was never going to be happy because it just wasn’t what I wanted um one thing led to the other mindset changed I got my great 12 I started looking for what I wanted to do in life I slowly started getting into um the idea of maybe trying to promote something with pool and um here I am 5 years later man and I’m doing what I love every day and um I’m grateful for life every day and life changed completely just as soon as I changed my mindset and started applying the the fundamentals that I have on the table into my own life and I don’t know if you needed to hear that but at least one of you guys needed to hear that so I hope that that helps you understand that you know you have a real purpose out there you just got to figure out what it is for me it was pool I love pool pool and the more I thought about life the more I understood that pool was in my life from the beginning and it was something that I was supposed to be doing um when I started the process of doing pool promotion it wasn’t too long before I realized that yeah that was my calling man and throughout all the all the great things and all the struggles man cuz TR there’s a lot of struggles and you’re trying to make it man um I just kept going I just kept going like my pool game just kept going doesn’t matter what happens just try your best make every effort and even when you’re when you’re mentally exhausted then you don’t want to play no more just put in the effort and try and you never know just like last night I survived the match that I wasn’t supposed to survive right and all it was was my mentality he’s laughing because she was supposed to like drop that ball to take away the breakout on the eightball but instead she left the ball on the table and now that gives Tracy the breakout option but I’m not sure if she wants to take that option yet I mean the table doesn’t look quite there yet I mean if you take that 14 B and you draw into that aall and break it out that’s going to send that aall into that six which might actually push that aall into the side pocket if not it’s going to push that aall to the right side of the table right below that side pocket so this is not a a good break off for and now ideally you want to be able to make the TW go up and get the break out then but even then you’re not guaranteed so I think she’s got to be a little bit more patient here got to find a way what I wouldn’t mind doing here maybe is just trying to set up a ball um up table so you have an escape shot so like just play a safety maybe um send the 12 ball up so then if you get another opportunity with that 14 you can break out that eight ball and then you will still have the option to be able to make the 12 ball after that I think the decision she makes her on the table is going to be what matters and now that you mention it Maggie like this table just bothers me I’m an OCD kind of person I’m a little bit of a perfectionist and seeing this table all crooked like that it’s not to bother me man I’m feeling like I’m slacking Maggie McGrath says I like a full night’s sleep seven 7 or eight hours but I never eat right before I play that really messes me up yeah so I’m going to get back to that right away but you’re right like eating is is a big thing right so you’re supposed to eat like maybe something decent in the morning and then from their light snacks throughout the day as you’re playing um same thing with like pop and and and beer like I don’t know if you guys see that or not when you’re playing but like pow is probably one of the worst things you can drink um because it’s an up and down right so like when you’re drinking especially if you drink Pepsi there’s caffeine in there so it’s bringing you up now as you go on throughout the day that’s going to become something that is going to eventually wear you down and you have to rely on on caffeine to bring you back up again but it won’t do it as good so having something to eat is you know okay throughout the day um what you drink is going to be important and and I don’t know if you guys notice this stuff when you go to pool tournaments but if you look at all the higher level players most of them don’t drink pop almost almost all the best players around you in your city will not even drink alcohol um and then they’re very they’re very um particular on to what they eat so like the players that I have here in Mana they’ll have like little snacks like uh protein bars banana an orange an apple like little things like that so you just have like a little bite it seems like not that big of a deal but I’m telling you like little sprits of energy throughout the day is better than having one big energy and then burning that out your body will get exhausted and these are the things that the the top players usually don’t share with other players but it’s something that comes from being an athlete I mean any kind of athlete kind of goes through that same process uh let’s see so um Jean P says I need between six and seven hours at least six minimum I can’t perform without proper rest my mind and body can’t work together on unless yeah and so that’s another thing so you got to figure out like what’s the right number right and everybody’s got a different number some people actually need eight hours because you know they’re lazy I get it because they have to rest longer right it’s just their maybe their body doesn’t handle the the long day as well or maybe their mindset right they just know like hey man I’m 5 hours sleep I am the shits there’s nothing I can do on the table so then you sleep 6 hours right then maybe 6 hours doesn’t work out so you make it seven right whatever works for you but you got to figure that out too in competition um I think that the way you look at it is the days you have your best performance you got to go back and review what you did on that day right it wasn’t just your skill at the table it was the way you slept it was what you did in the morning maybe you had a shower before you went out to the tournament that woke you right up and kept you fresh or maybe you didn’t shower and maybe you know it’s a smell that’s keeping you awake I’m kidding I’m kidding don’t crucify me on this one uh let’s go to YouTube got to check these guys out cu these guys feel a little neglected sometimes man and I don’t I don’t want to do that to you guys you know we’re all we’re all family here sort of uh Raymond Phillips says I am the mental game is huge in pool says Raymond yeah you’re right man for sure Billiards tourist says I won my division at Van Island championship ships on just a few hours of sleep I find being on edge gives me a real mindset for the game too I’m telling you man there’s something to it I mean it just it just really helps I’m hoping that you know you’ll be able to figure that out with time what it is that your hours are but generally speaking like I think six 6 and 1 half hours is probably about the right number I think 5 and a half hours is dangerous I tried 5 and 1 half hours and 5 hours um very frustrating like in out your stroke game is good your mentality game is not there or your mentality game is there and your stroke is not there or your both are good but you’re having brain farts you can’t stop them because you just don’t see it coming you’re so exhausted focusing so much on what you’re doing that you’re leaving yourself vul vulnerable to brain farts right so I’m telling you like it’s it’s a process um the best that I ever played I was on just under 7even hours of sleep and that’s why I say 6 hours and a half is my number I tried the the five hours I’m telling you it was brutal man one day I played on four hours and it was horrible like I felt like so good for the first three matches I was just going lights out but then after 6 hours of playing you know you’re sitting around waiting for your matches it just wears you down and then the next match after that like nothing can save me not even a ball in hand uh Raymond says 6 to8 hours in my opinion um bil your tourist says 4 hours solid four hours solid restful sleep 4 hours physical rest without necessarily sleeping close eyes meditate rest of Mind interesting and you know I don’t I don’t think you’re wrong with that because um from my understanding from the things that I read humans were never supposed to be 8 to 10 hour sleepers anyway um our bodies were made in a way where we’re supposed to and there’s a lot of people out there that live by this lifestyle by the way you can research it you’ll see a lot of people live by this lifestyle um that you sleep 4 hours wake up for a little bit sleep 4S hours wake up for a little bit sleep 4 hours wake up for a little bit and that’s your 24 hours now that’s that’s how a lot of people that I’ve from me looking into this a lot of people live that way and they claim to that the life is perfect this way like your energy is balanced your your body doesn’t age as fast like a couple different things that they they claim um are the results from from that now myself like I don’t know man if I only sleep four hours like I’m I’m viciously out there like trying to bite somebody’s head off cuz I’m angry you know I didn’t sleep so I’m a little bit in of a mood um but I’m thinking if you do it all the time you’re probably like a really nice person on 4 hour sleep oh J boy Aqua says smack the breakout and go haha I thought so too but it was dangerous she could have maybe scratch that aall in the side pocket and you know the ladies when they brought the table with a little bit more precautious than the man they they don’t take too many chances like that and J Money says 12 hours sleep and a big breakfast to get going and Chris isn’t I never get enough sleep eat a Snickers oh yeah man I’m telling you I’m like that man um like I’m not going out there to like be angry at people but if you want to you know try to get me going it won’t take a lot of effort you almost got to just look at me I’m like what what are you looking at man but I’m usually on the good point I try to sleep five hours you know I’m a peaceful peaceful being like that but J says I see that LOL um Matty boy says hey Rod I was curious if the time oh man is the timer right trying to think about this what time is it now yeah I know it’s about right it’s about an hour you’re right I was right on this match 50 minutes for three racks but after watching in this rack it totally makes sense well and I mean it’s not a bad thing I’m telling you but it’s something that as a tournament director like an organizer I’ve seen that it’s very common um the women when they play they take a little bit longer and the races are shorter a lot of times because of that factor right um one one of the players that I know in the city mentioned to me that she says that one of the disadvantages for women is that they never have the long races like the men do and and at first I was like whatever but then like the more she talked about it the more that made sense um because they don’t get that experience that that the men do like races to 7 racist to 9 or whatever racist to 11 or 13 cuz some of the events I run are like that um so they just don’t get that kind of experience which is what the male players are getting and that’s why they’re getting more skill development in the long run and I mean if you have two people working the same job and one person puts you know five hours training every day they’re going to be decent out of the job but the other person is putting in you know 10 hours training every day that person is going to be the one that you’re going to get the job to is going to get promoted and going to move up in the game right T whatever you um so the more you play the better it is for you in the long run and so like the female players they kind of sort of get held back a little bit because of that because it makes short races for them all the time and and a lot of that’s because you know the pace is a little bit slower which I get um but for the for the growth of the game the ladies need to be able to play um longer matches so events to have races to seven and N for for female players those are like the bread and butter for you those are the ones you want to play all the time anything that has you on on a race to three tough tough because you’re not really going to get much out of it yes the match is going to take longer but a big reason of why these matches are taking longer is because it’s a shorter race so every rack means more every shot means more now if you put these ladies on a race to set they’re going to take chances because it’s a longer race they can’t be patient like that and honestly I’m if I’m a female player playing a match for like three hours then I got to play another match for three hours like it’s going to wear you down so you’re going to want to put more effort on a race to seven to be able to be more accurate to be able to get the racks done faster and I’m telling you that’s that’s the probably one of the main reasons why men have an advantage over women in pool um because as far as like skill-wise there’s no advantage or disant Advantage all all women and men are all equal when it comes to pool um you might have a little bit of difference on the break but we don’t really need a powerful break anyway ah it’s going to come out maybe maybe the April J blocked it a little bit but I think she’s got the shot to the corner yeah she does at least went to go take a look she had the right idea just a little bit too much Pace now Tracy’s should be all right but she’s got a weird angle here which is going to make you feel like a scratch angle even though it’s not so she’ll have to trust her instincts here and go off a couple of rails um which is going to make it difficult for to get onto the eightball without a bank shot option she’s going to draw back instead nice little draw that’s going to give her the option there and perhaps she was thinking about that scratch and that’s why she r with the draw whatever the case so she give herself a chance at the zone and that’s a great shot she’s on the hill yeah and I’m telling you like uh if you’re a guy player and and you’re thinking like oh it’s easy to play against women you’re a wrong man I lost to um Tracy shapple last night and she beat me 3 to one and it wasn’t one of those things where like oh man like I turned the table over and it was just like she had an easy table she was playing really good um and to the point where like I didn’t even want to give her any opportunities like I I grinded out I only had one win I lost three to one I grinded out that win I had like maybe I’m going to say like 10 safeties in that match or in that rack for me to win that game and the reason why is because like the first game she won right away with the first opportunity I gave her I missed one shot I missed one shot on the first rack and she took that table and won so I said to myself like okay you can’t be playing like this against a player that can play like that you know you have to be smarter so then I tried grinding out I won my game I was like okay this is the answer I got to play this way and then the next rack I tried playing that way again and uh she ended up winning that one so it was two to one and then on the last rack I got out of character instead of playing smart and whatever I decide to just go for something and then next thing you know she beat me right and like you just can’t give her a chance so if you’re sitting there thinking that you know female players are weaker for any reason like you’re wrong man and and don’t be upset when you lose to a female player because you had it coming you thought that way you deserved it so for me when I’m at the table it doesn’t matter if it’s male female old man young kid it doesn’t matter every it can be a one-year-old baby man if you pick up a queue I’m sorry it’s your fault you should have never picked up that queue I’m going to play to win right that’s the way you got to think it doesn’t matter who you’re playing in the end it’s always the table so if you’re you know thinking about that opponent thinking about you know anything else you’re already out of the game you’re not going to win it’s like when you look at the table and you’re like oh it’s wide open if I run this out I’m going to be on the hill then you miss the first shot or you get you make the first shot you hook yourself really bad now you’re tur the table over and the other guy gets on the hill you know it’s a process man let’s see so Matty boy says that I myself don’t have the patience to play that tic TCT toe game probably why I don’t go deep in tournaments LOL just love to shoot at everything way too much and that’s what’s got to change man but I get it man it’s a thrill right so what you have to do is you got to make the thrill be something that’s on the practice table and then while you’re playing in the tournaments you got to teach yourself the discipline to be patient and not go for everything and I’m telling you like that’s the hardest thing to learn it’ll take you 20 years to figure that out you got to lose lose enough uh matches excuse me um and good good opportunities that it’s going to make you feel like oh you know what I got to do something different the same work in my and that’s how it is for every player every player makes a decision at one point to become a better player and they look at what they do wrong they understand not to do it no more they look at what they know and they figure out what they don’t know and they work on that it’s just the process like I saying uh and then Matty boy says Sher small kicked my ass last year barbox championship I’ll never underestimate underestimate a woman again for me it was shley buffan who usually is in this tournament but she’s not here I don’t think she’s playing in this one this year uh but she was the first person to victimize me like that it was a I can’t remember I think it was like a raced to four I was up 3 nothing or 3-1 and I was like I’ll just give her a chance you know feeling bad for the girl right cuz like it’s a girl player I can beat her anytime I want I gave her a chance she ended up beating me it was like the first time that I realized like oh man you can’t take it easy on anybody on these tables and I changed my game because of it right I slowly started paying more attention to who I’m playing and just give everybody the same respect of course it takes time though so it wasn’t until about 10 years after that I really really kind of embraced that mentality and start changing my game for the better and these girls are going to keep walking up in a safety battle but Sherry Smoke’s a good player so no shame on that man no shame on that I mean if you’re playing against somebody that’s good you just got to accept the fact that they were playing good and if you took chances you gave them a chance you know that’s no good that’s on you man uh let’s see Crystal Taylor says thanks for sharing Rod yes people need to talk mental and sleep are really important to all they really are for real Maggie McGrath on Facebook says not lazy just old yeah I don’t know like I used to I remember my grandpa used to have like these little siestas these little naps and I I think to myself like why is he always napping man like the guy’s just sleeping all the time and now I kind of get it it’s just like you kind of need the rest no matter what right and it’s one of those things where your body demands it and if you don’t give into it then you like age faster feel more aches right and I get it I get it I don’t know what I’m going to do as I get older man because I’m already used to sleeping you know five to six hours a day so I have to have naps in the in the middle of the day like like I might have like three hour naps uh Jean peacock says I keep sugar-free peppermints with me and drink mostly water in Long tournaments I’ll have maybe one soda and no alcohol yeah and so that’s that’s the way it’s supposed to be right like um just keep it simple keep your body balanced right um because like sugar sugar dumps can really affect your mindset when you’re at the table not only that but it it exhausts you physically as you keep doing it right up and downs it’s going to be one of those things that just wears you right down and you may be doing all right at the beginning like I say but six hours into the tournament you’re going to start seeing the effects of that don’t get me wrong though you can sleep less and go out there and win a tournament like one of the one of the comment is one of the viewers here commented that they played a tournament and won with 4 hours sleep you could do it it’s not impossible but you know you’re going to have a lot of crazy stressful moments on the table because you’re only on 4 hour sleep so there’s no mental balance other than the Focus right all right let’s take a look at this tournament see where we’re at Amanda blackb won her match against Wendy iron and she’s playing against Nancy Martin next uh P mcken waiting for an opponent she’s playing the winner of Angie black and carollyn mcken which right now no idea with the scores between them at they’re playing Cy shanana CPP that mean woman that beat me last night and sent me to the bside on the aside semifinal oh my God he’s waiting for a match he’s waiting for the winner of this match right now theise and Tracy and least of V down won our match against Brien Walker she’s going to be playing against Donna blackberg who want her match against Ashley Martin That’s the aside now I got to see did they call these matches or not looks like brienne’s standing around is she playing a match she will play against Ashley Martin so I’m assuming they are playing I’ll be right back I’m going to make sure that he’s running the tournament properly theas you do that things happen here tell Miss all yeah so loser of how you change table again table table you then on the table side here [Music] to left name I’ll open up file scroll down a match right now now all these numbers make sure that write but then what happens next year like you have I did it I did it once I wanted to leave early and I went home and I was like maybe 3 hours left in the tournament and I I don’t believe this all right so where are we at on this match looks like we’re still in the same spot 3 to one B with a chance be able to close on makes the shot to the side pocket has the other side available now all she needs is just a little bit of a drawback angle to come back down to the middle or the AP which you got right there this will be for the match 4-1 in the final score now I don’t know if I have any other matches going right now I have to figure that out too thank you for e e you want rest [Music] e all right [Music] so other matches for the TV table you put them on table [Music] five all right uh 4 to1 was the final score we’re going to get another match coming up here right away what do we have um Tracy shanana kappo and Tracy Bernard are going to be playing next all right uh all right so we’re going to have that match going right now uh some of the ladies well a lot of the ladies don’t want to be on the TV table I can’t force them to be on the TV table if they don’t want to be on the TV table uh Shin a coule and race to four this will be a quarterfinal matchup oops got to um yeah that’s right the Tracy battle and you’re both spelled the same way both names are spelled the same way I’ll go get her all right so we’re going to switch tables too so I can focus on this other one here [Music] uh see we’re just waiting for Tracy Shanika to come in and we’re going to get this match going this what is it now 11:30 so we’re going to have the open division single starting up soon too um so once that starts we’re probably going to end up focusing on on those matches because a lot of the ladies don’t want to be on the stream and I get it they you know like the ladies always get criticized for the slow play and this and that and for them it’s like you know they’re just trying to compete and have a good time so they don’t really want to be like judged or whatever criticize while they’re playing so a lot of them just don’t want to be on the TV table and then there’s other are just simply camera shy right they just doesn’t matter if it’s TV table or not they just don’t want to be on a [Music] camera all right so Trac is coming in now and we’re going to get this match going right away I appreciate you guys’ patience in the meantime I’ll do some uh catching up here on Facebook and YouTube all right so YouTube first uh Christ says so how did you do last night double Bourbon Neat Coke back um I did I don’t know I’m still playing today so I survived but I don’t know not feeling good about my game you know there’s Sparks of like really good pool playing and then there’s like the other side of the coin you know um I felt like there was two matches that I didn’t deserve to win and both those matches I ended up winning and then some of the matches where I felt like I deserved to win um didn’t go quite as good but I ended up winning in the end and then there was that match against Tracy last night who ended up beating me 3 to one and I wasn’t um in any way like prepared for that battle cuz like I knew she was a good player but I had no idea how good of a player she was and um she kind of showed me on the first rack which slowed down my game and changed my game a little bit credit to her man cuz I’m telling you like not too many people can change my game but I even said to her husband Kevin Cardinal said hey man I says like I don’t know what you taught your wife but she got me scared I said I’m all intimidated over here man trying to survive the match he’s just lost cuz he knows she’s a good player and she was respectful like I was having some rough times on the table but she was respectful and just let it be you know played her game and it was good you have a chance to just play that game here in this match up now against Trac the nerd the Tracy battle is on oh we got to stop the clock you should have but yeah where do you put the number I did put your number unless it was the wrong number yes you can scroll it too you one one in a black the man table [Music] one e put your number here you put your number in here again so cck on the now the again spine check your uh see if you got the message out it was the same number but for some reason like this was set up as USA all right I’m back uh going to check back going to check out for a while says Chris no be back later but uh thanks for tuning in man appreciate it see you when you come back um Facebook any comments there few comments on there uh okay I got to go back here so going to Jean peacock says someone a long time ago said peppermint was good when you need mental focus I don’t remember who it was but whether it does or not for real it does for me interesting I’m I’m going to screen cap that because I want to research that now I mean you’re you’re giving me some good info here anything like that I usually look into man research you know it’s important especially when it comes to development your game um Maggie says when does the next match start well they’re starting now Jason Amos says Where where’s this held we’re here in Swan Lake first nation matoba um in Canada Swan Lake first nation’s about 2our drive from Winn Pig Mata Southwest or west and south uh Maggie McGrath says I’m rooting for the mean woman who beat ra LOL oh man she’s so mean I’m telling you I was like getting bullied by a bully in a in a schoolyard it was like that she just absolutely slaughtered me I had no chance all I can do is just look at it the way it was man she just played better than me and I had a chance to get back in too like I technically won a second game but that second game is what cost me the loss in the end CU I made the eight ball but then I scratched off one of her solids and then that was the end of the match just the absolute we like just rubbing in my face that was the absolute worst way to finish that match right where you think you’re about to come back and play you scratch the black and lose oh man horrible uh and Jean says enjoying enjoy watching as always but I’m going to play snooker and good for you Jean enjoy that if this tournament is still going when I get back I’ll tuned back in let’s go ladies I’m pulling for yall and then Tannis Susie Clark says good luck and shoot well today yeah right on thank you um yeah know it’s uh it’s going to be a full day of tournament so we have the well I guess I’ll show you guys here we had a 3-day set up day one which was yesterday we had the open division open division singles and that carried on till today so now we’re on day two and we’re going to continue with the open division singles which starts in about 10 minutes 15 minutes um supposedly and then we have the women’s division singles which had started at 10:00 in the morning actually didn’t start really till like 10:30 and then around 600 p.m. we’re going to have the team event first will be the grand opening which will start few minutes before that and then we’re going to move into the tournament the team tournament and then tomorrow is Championship day so team event continued and they’re also going to have the Juniors tournament which the Junior tournament is usually not streamed so it probably won’t be streamed tomorrow either oh that’s my food I gota gota get my food I’ll be right back forun gotta let it get pulled oh and I forgot to start the clock oh I’m having a rough day today I slept a little bit longer than usual man what’s the matter for you oh no off The Horn reverse bank and comes up short and Tracy shano will get a turn out the this table might have to go off the rail off the five or take on the four up to her oh when I got adjust that camera too which I was going to do so I am going to step away for a few minutes while I’m adjusting this camera and it might take me a little bit of time I got to go back and forth worth looking at the computer looking at the camera and might take me longer than I expected but it really bothers me when it doesn’t look straight and professional so I’m going to go fix that right [Music] now make the screen bigger so I can see more we go all right I’ll be back e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e all right so I think that’s better now yeah much better safy battle is going to start on this one that’s the right shot it kind of looks like the 11 my go she going to play safety instead looked to me like the 11 ball wi and she hadit the combo but she didn’t take that chance I guess it’s a grandal patient game now CU it’s a race to four so want to make sure that you TI the match up here on second rack and all T is going to do is try to create a little separation here on the a but not a whole lot that fball is in a tough spot now good safety still but have to get that fireball out uh James Rockwell how you doing says who’s leading right now it’s Tracy Bernard uh the person that just shot was Tracy shappo Tracy Bernard is wearing the all black and the hustling shirt James says hello from Michigan USA thanks for tuning in James welcome to the stream we are here in Winnipeg matoba Canada in the center of Canada pretty much we spent six months out of the year in really really bad weather storm winter storms snow so we have a lot of good pool players in Mata and good curlers because that’s are the two things that you can play in the winter is curling and pull looking to go off the five ball here going have to hit it with some good Precision to be able to get that fball to bounce off the rail got the fball out but didn’t get much of a reward on it I have to bank this one or play a safe go for the bank she’s going to make it what a shot going have to make another one here now oh just missed it she’s got a really really good banking system almost got lucky with the eightball rolling up in front of the qball but it’s going to leave the shot available here for Tracy sh a CLE morning for looks like the open division singles is now starting as well they’re going to be playing on table six which is our second TV table is going to be breaking first on that one one1 in this match oh yeah they’re using the the to Pool app also so I can look it up that way just to confirm yeah it is 11 yeah that’s the side it’s uh to get into the top four e no snooker tables around you at all Maggie well that’s not uncommon man I mean snooker tables kind of started disappearing uh probably about I’m going to say mid 1990s soly became well the early 90s it became from snooker tables to 9 foot so there was snooker and 9 foot around and then early 2000s it was not much snucker more 8T and 9t and then now where we’re at now it’s like mainly Bar Box and and some 9f Footers barely any snooker tables Melissa shikao says good luck Tracy shikao it’s kind of sad too because like people just describe the game as such a difficult game that it scared so many people away from playing snooker and and snooker really is one of the best games you could ever play if you want to become a great player you can’t make the shot without being precise and working on your fundamentals so that’s the one thing that you need for any game and and the one game that can teach you that um get that experience without having to play and lose against people all the time it’s something it will demand more out of your game so you’re can end up trying harder and doing more and then every time you make a mistake you’re going to wish you didn’t so you’re going to learn from your mistakes too $1,900 for first place for the open division 1200 for second 750 for third chat disconnected again I’m not sure why it does that been doing that for the last little while shot got her ball out in the open too from him really good shot it’s that forward angle to be able to get across for that 15 bone perfect shot e e I just had a feeling that he was going to make that shot got himself unlucky though nice little jump shot here all right so moving into rack number four Tracy Bernard the break leading by one trying to get on the hill e e e little short on the pace still okay though 13 balls away from the one ball enough for she can take that on after that 14 ball oh she’s going to stun over instead that’s going to take away that shot trying to play a combo now safety she’s looking at the 15 ball so she might have that shot still problem with that shot though it’s not going to give her much of a setup for the next one oh she tried scratch the Q ball Bernard with a ball in hand a chance to get on the hill one of the she’s got to addresses that one and three she got to choose which way she’s going to go on that they both have multiple Pockets but they’re just in weird spots I take the three ball the side the one ball after that use that angle to come back down another the shot on the seven bomb but the five is available also miss that shot to the corner the shano with a chance to have the match up too everything’s kind of in the open here for all the ball qball control when she has some pretty good qball control going to end up in a funny spot again she was trying to run into the seven ball and missed it going to have to play the combo now e It’s a combination of tiing up for the shot plus trying to control the speed for the fireball Now Tracy is pretty straight on this 13 bone to cheat the pocket a little bit to hold the shape for 12 well looks like she s for a longer shot and she’s going to be shooting over the ball a little bit so kind of a tester oh that way too heavy going the table over with a chance for Tracy Bernard to get on the hill now just a five seven and eight remaining for that 3 to one she’s on the hill a bit faster pce action on this one 34 minutes in when [Music] go e e e e e tough table here I mean decent but a lot of work a lot of travel on that Cube ball around almost went in off to nine turn the table over hasn’t given Tracy a whole lot is up for the four ball oh she’s going to miss the five TR TR to C with a good chance here everything is open available people needs to be open up still on this table not many options around it to open it up either just going to use the natural St stun over angle but it’s going to come up a little tight on the shot still has the shot to the corner though I have to come across play that 15 ball after him oh she was sing up the side pocket face with a chance to close out the match now she’s on the hill and well decent table here still some work though manageable for e got be careful not to move anything on this table got two ball go in scratch balling hand for Tracy shanana cppo tring by two three balls plus eight ball remaining she’ll have to thr a little bit of a back and forth [Music] thing and I think she’s going have to take one of one of the other are the nine or the 12 First e e e that’s come all those guys want play the one and the battle continues on this table safety battle it is didn’t want to open up the table that much see Bernard’s got a good chance to close out now as she goes to the corner it’s a missable shot goes to the side to make one ball keeps going and travels a bit so make that shot to the corner it’s decent on the two ball as well just got to like stun draw with a light light punch you don’t want to that Q ball little too far away I thought she would try to come to the center more so that way she had the easier natural setup for the eight ball but this still works long as she doesn’t hit that 11 ball anyway which she shouldn’t just missed them both in and out eight ball to the corner for the win going to win the match with a score of four to one this is the open division to get into the top four and these guys are both I believe a race to four I’ll find out what the score is I’ll be right back for heard time that s back all right so the score on this one is two to one for Tom Walker is at the table right now tried to make the shot needs a little bit of luck on the leave leave a shot to the side C only has the one and the five and the aall Sean the one’s available to the corner the five ball is available to the side the one to the corner could maybe be the shot that he takes on cuz then he can take that five to the top right corner personally I like taking the five to the side and then just taking it soft Pace to set up for the one ball on the side in the same pocket that gives me the natural finish on the a he’s stuck between both shots I’s thinking about doing this Fireball on the top left instead so now he’s taking a drawback angle it looks like he’s pretty straight so if he draws right back he’s going to be within six inches of that fly ball got into that 50/50 Mark didn’t quite get to where he wanted to be now the shot is makeable but he’s at that tangent line where it’s the scratch shot so he’s got to force the shot with some spin he would be okay if he went I believe to the top left but to the top right looks like a scratch shot he’s going for it there’s a scratch angle but he can avoid it with some spin now he needs to put a lot of extra power in this if he’s going to spin this CU he wants to get below the saple to make it in the top left corner see he’s doing full draw full draw shot here would take him to the right side of the EO bumping it towards the left side cushion I believe I just missed the eightball him running into the eightball might have been a good thing though him not running into the eightball leaves him tough especially because I believe that 14 balls Block in the pocket for the bank side so the only option you have would be like a bank Corner top right double Bank Corner bottom left for oh he’s going to scratch as long as he doesn’t scratch he might be okay there but him scratching no good and now Tom has a ball in hand with a good chance here to make the 14 to the side get on to the nine then have the 11 ball as a finish ball he’s looking at take the 11 ball first I don’t know about that I then you got take the 14 set up for the nine then take the 11 ball this is okay too as long as it draws back and enough four the 14 ball yeah he’ll do just that perfect little lineup here for the side pocket doesn’t need to be uh too straight on the 11 ball he wants an angle I don’t know about hitting that ball that fast and that hard but he got okay on it he could have just rolled it up soft it would have been fine oh no and he’s going to scratch the Q ball man ball in hand for Emory ties up the match up too I can’t believe he did that man he must have been thinking about getting on the hill must have been on the back of his thoughts um how you doing Lise is cheering you on face of Bernard nice shooting now she’s playing pretty good Tracy is now going to be playing against Lisa vanam who’s always a competitor for the top spot in the women’s tournament here so should have a tough battle and not to take them into the well that is a semi-final she’s in the semi-final right now b side seems to be running well so [Music] far man the Blackbird is waiting in the other semi-final she’s waiting for the winner of Pamela mcken and Angela black which their score is at 33 in a race to four oh emry with a good chance to get on the hill now and just um two balls away oh he’s going to miss that shot to the corner I can’t believe he missed that shot he’s going to turn the table over to Tom he’s got to start feeling a little bit of pressure now because he had a chance to get on the hill and now was St to making these racks a little bit more meaningful make the first shot pattern play is going to be important on this one shooting a little bit too too powerful now he’s slightly out of position oh he’s got that 14 never mind I thought he would have set up for the nine ball there but he went too far on me I to slow on his game now we’ll see if it comes into play or not has the option to make the shot to the side but he won’t have a followup after that it’s better off for him to go to the corner and then try to set up for that 13 ball next that Nine’s in a bad spot that’s why I thought he was going to end up setting up for the nine ball there because that was the problem ball that is the problem ball at the moment makes the first shot hi going to come down table and this isn’t bad he’s got a shot to the side he can hold the shape for the n B the plus sitting by the pocket it’s all about you know speed power having control on those two things so here like you should be playing two rails back to the middle or one rail with a lot of inside Spin and back down I like playing the two here with a drag shot to widen out the angle I like that it’s a good shot it’s going to give him the shot on the a ball being where it is to protect anything from scratching so it should be all right going to make that shot no problem he’s on the hill I got to play the winner of this match and I haven’t warmed up yet um so if you guys don’t mind I’m going to scoot off to another table and uh do a couple of warm-up shots cuz it’s getting close to me having to play right away I’ll update the score though as they finish the racks and I hope you guys are okay with that I appreciate your understanding and if you’re not okay with it I’m sorry but I’m I’m in a position to get into a three so I got to warm up maybe you guys [Music] that up yeah morning morning for sh l for pleas just do there right e e e e e [Music] for e all right the warm up didn’t go as planned 33 we’re going to the last rack on this one hill hill action hill hill action emry Cameron to break for the match my warm up did not go very good and I going to watch this one here because of the last rack so I’m going to go warm up after when this match is done cuz I’m going to be playing right away just didn’t feel focused on my warmup man and I don’t know that’s usually the case when you don’t sleep very good and you know takes like I said yesterday 20 minutes to half hour for a player to warm up their stroke one problem for me in this matchup that’s coming up is that both these guys have um battle tested experience right now they’ both been playing proper so when it comes to uh my match both these guys are going to be battle tested and mentally ready while for me I’m going to have to grind out till I get to a nice warm up comfortable position with my game man looks like he’s going to come off dry on that break break a pretty decent brake too a little bit of work which is usually the case top left corner is most of the work it’s a choice of whether you want to go solids or stripes and when you’re looking at this table like the solids they’re not that great but they are blocking that bottom right corner so you should go for the stripes here and that was the problem area but he hammers that right away excuse me which is going to get them a better position on this table now I don’t know what’s up in my voice but I guess I’m talking too much try to dry up a b he’s in a tough position here I wouldn’t even try around this table out excuse me um but because the table’s wide open now like you technically have to but Tom’s got the worst of it here he’s got to come up with a couple of good shots and when he does end up turning the table over because it looks like that’s what’s going to happen on this table at some point it’s going to be a pretty open table and will have a chance to close out that’s why you got to be careful when you’re you know when you see a table and you realize a lot of problems at the table be realistic and if you can’t if you can’t get it all opened up then don’t go for the effort of trying to run everything out just play a smart shot ahead of time and wait for a better opportunity to present itself through your safety plan for well let’s put the aall in another spot from where it was and he’s got a stripe above it which is not going to have a boning right now and moving that AAL where he did and kind of sort of oh wait he’s solid um never mind he’s fine a being where it is is fine cuz he can use that two ball for the Finish ball it’s Tom that has the problem with the stripes but he’s got a couple of stries up there that can help him break out that 12 ball if he gets back to the table sorry 14 ball just has to be patient here and he’s going to need some pretty good shape on that two ball to finish the table he can take the two ball now but it looks like he’s leaving it behind for the three ball the way he’s looking at it he’s got a nice natural inside angle to get onto that two Ball but the window’s so tight between the rail the stripe in the eight that there’s a little bit of room for trouble if it doesn’t play right into that inside cushion he’s going to play The Wider angle instead yeah and that tapping the ball tapping the table we’re talking about it last night player shouldn’t be doing that he did the tap there too to slow it down but it was a little too late for the tap all kept going now he’s not happy about this and the only reason he’s not happy about it cuz he can make the shot but there’s no help for the a he loses the Q ball completely on the shot if he makes it and the worst part about it all he’s going to open up that pocket once he moves the stripe away from that corner though if he makes it he gets on the a doesn’t [Music] matter he’s going to make the shot beautiful shot that’s going to give him the out nice little finish there guy 43 the final score and I’m not sure if Trace is warming up or not she might be playing a match so switch over to that table for now until I find her opponent see who her opponent is I’m also going to go warm up real quick cuz I’m pretty sure I got to play right now for when PR that for stre there all you e e what e for e e e e e e e e e e e e 14 a well y p you guys are not uh well if I win this match I’ll be doing huh who oh no I gotta play him now on schedule e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e so just to let you guys know I’m playing a match right now I’m in the middle of a match and I don’t think I don’t think this timer is accurate so I got to change that uh we’ll stop the timer reset it I’m pretty sure it’s not accurate I’m pretty sure it was running from before so I’ll move this timer out of the way oh she’s going to miss that shot to the corner didn’t well she did give her a shot here actually the you goingon why you you should get out that yes the bah that’s beautiful this how SC um per r [Music] what do it there for [Music] me e for for I’m not like a I’m not thinking about the game when not playing the games and I’m talking about like the anger how they piss me off now I’m all built up and anger my very next shot like I do I said it I don’t want to play and I I Tred to work out a deal because I didn’t want to I didn’t want to play at all I just wanted to work got a deal like a split on you
