when the blitz is on you need to protect your most valuable asset that’s why the NFL looks to Cisco security powered by AI to protect their data from cyber attacks when the game is on the line the NFL relies on Cisco what time is it oh good morning um look uh we talked about it last week it’s it’s about Focus Friday today is about execution um it’s about making sure that you know we we tighten up all the bolts and get ready to play a good game uh down in Miami opened up on Wednesday you talked about how Miami team is different with two in there how is this team different with Drake playing yeah I mean you know I would say first of all he’s a very um he’s playing well for us and he’s learning from his mistakes I would say the offense over the last few weeks has definitely perform better uh we look forward to that progress uh down in Miami fantastic face question for you um we spoke with Alex yesterday I’m curious on your guys’s conversations about Personnel groups yeah do you conversations about who can go where if there are any special packages all the time you know I know this question was I knew this question was coming but look the primary focus for us this year was to get Marcus healthy and to get Marcus uh ready to go as a cornerback and a punt returner and that was the primary goal and that was our Focus there are there are look I mean how much time do we want to spend on on Gadget plays his he’s most valuable on the defensive side of the ball in P are like in like hindsight should someone though have mentioned to AP just like hey this guy does have the ability and maybe you can go back and was these you know whatever his five games from to me like everyone in this building everyone knows that what he could do with the ball in his hands I mean we see those things again I would say the primary focus was for him to play corner you haven’t seen shot just do any update on his status and what’s going on with him yeah uh I’m not going to get you know into too many specifics as far as dri but um look we’ll see what it’s like uh today at practice and you know he’s been a valuable piece of the of the defense hope hopefully he’s there what have you seen the last couple days from Cole and do you expect to activate him for the game yeah um you know Cole has really just been out there doing the individual drills and and conditioning I will say uh he looks good you know we ran some crossfields the other day and you know he was out front so he’s definitely in shape or maybe it’s the fresh legs I don’t know but uh it’s exciting to have him out there how was Joe his responsibilities done a lot of scout team just overall yeah you talk about a guy who is developing at a at a pretty good rate it’s Joe you know we all know he can throw the ball down the field but uh just his progressions and things like that have definitely gotten better and um he’ll be a solid player in this league has he taken a lot of the scout team yeah yeah he takes a lot of that work um he takes a lot he takes most of it I would say he T he talked last week about how he wanted to he takes advantage of every rep he gets both virtual and on the field because he doesn’t get as many is that what you’re also seeing from him when he does get those opportunities yeah 100% you know we always talk about you know trying to steal reps and and even when the starting offense is out there you know he’s behind um still going through his progressions in his read so trying to steal reps that way Char I can ask you something kind of silly um just curious what has been your favorite Drake may play so far that maybe you kind of rewinded a couple times whether pressed or just cool or whatever I’ll probably get killed for saying this but him making a tackle you know him making a tackle you don’t want to see the turnovers but you don’t usually see you know quarterbacks making a tackle D you said that the focus was on getting Marcus healthy and playing quarterback what changed to make him play on offense last it was just one look we’re a game plan team we change up uh quite frequently and that just happened to be you know one of those packages for that game we know that he reached out to Alex about the getting himself on the opposite side of the ball uh had he ever talked to you about that we always have conversations about everyone on the field and um look like I said earlier everyone knows that he can what he can do with the ball in his Dan it was reported yesterday that uh craft has been passed over of the Hall of Fame this year just curious for your thoughts on that and his campus yeah I don’t know how uh that process works but I don’t think there’s anyone more deserving than Robert Craft to being the Hall of Fame following up question um vort was the semi-finalist I guess they was my thought so I got to go through progression but what was it like getting a chance to play with him and I guess I’m curious about your thoughts about this yeah you know when I uh came into the league in 2008 and I was Rookie of the Year it was all because those guys up front and it was you know it started with Vince at the nose um and and honestly like for a defensive lineman you know he was a dominant player and sometimes the stats don’t do it justice but he was a dominant player for a very long time and uh I hope he gets in I don’t have a vote but I hope he gets in uh how you you’ve been talking this week about or over the weeks about how practice has gone how do you feel like practice did go just one yeah practice is gone well um look I would say like Wednesday you know we had a couple of uh plays that didn’t look too good but they tightened it up on Thursday when we uh recap uh the Wednesday stuff and today is about tying it all together you know early down third down red area and looking forward to having a good practice it was you were talking about J earlier um I think there was something out of the Giants where Daniel Jones was playing Scout te safety for them and benucci quarterback tweeted how he played Scout team safety a lot do you ask some of your quarterbacks or offensive players ever play scout team on the other side of the ball oh yeah sometimes due to just numbers uh alone I’ve never had a quarterback or seen a quarterback play safety but uh due to numbers sometimes you may have a corner that has to play a receiver or a receiver that has to play you know scout team corner but nothing as dramatic as a quarterback of safety in terms of still playing scout team it seems like the lead kind of evolves into more like a running quar back system do that really help to have someone who’s a little younger who’s more athletic who can play that scout team role um to prepare for these Scouts yeah I’ve I’ve talked about this uh before you know being able to you know have a guy who can run with the ball and do all those things is definitely beneficial and saying that you know we also play quarterbacks you know not not as much as we used to that just sit in the pocket but he’s able to do that as well and so I think you know just that versatility and that growth and development and doing that and emulating the other quarterback has been good for him come with his n we don’t go that far with it when it comes to the scout team stuff you know when you play a team like Miami how do you try to simulate that speed and and the motion that they use and stuff like that you line a guy like Tyreek Hill whoever’s playing Tyreek Hill you get your fastest player and then you move him up two yards you know so he’s really like off sides or you know but that’s how you kind of simulate that stuff that’s how we do it I think Christian was talking yesterday about how on Fridays like sometimes the defensive backs will go up against each other B wide receiver on cornerback um what do you see out that what’s the back you know it’s just kind of one of those things that has been a tradition here for a long time on Friday practices we take a couple minutes and you know it all the time Corners can play receiver receivers can play corner and you know the linebackers can play tight end the tight end can play linebacker so it’s just something that we’ve done here uh historically how were you as a tit terrible terrible terrible terrible I played running back in high school though 10 yards a carry I was pretty good at that perfect thanks guys
