right guys uh injuries for the game uh Char charvarius Ward will be out uh Jacob coing out Tatum bethon out Kevin given out Nick Bosa out Brock pie out Tren Williams questionable Fano questionable go [Music] ahead is there any development with rock shoulder where it got downgraded during the week and is there long-term concern for him um I don’t want to say there’s long-term concern um you know we got the MRI on Monday we thought he just needed some rest and really weren’t concerned about him not being good this week but when he started up Thursday um just surprised him surprised us how it felt um so we had to shut him down and so I really don’t know what to think of it you know the MRI doesn’t look like that so it should be all right but on the way it responded this week it’s really up in the air for next week so we’ll have to see him Monday did it happen on the uh the touchdown run uh he doesn’t know in particular I don’t think so but he can’t remember a play that specifically happened on things where as time went on it just started to just just was complaining about how tight it was throughout the game and it started happening throughout the game that’s why he was warming up just a lot more than usual um he said he had a hard time keeping a loose and then after the game is when it really started to hurt and um then Monday morning is really why had to go get MRI for it will Brandon all start uh yes what do you like about Brandon uh I think Brand’s really good thrower runs our offense well um he’s done a really good job since he’s been here here been here two years now and uh guys believe in him and believe he’ll give us a good chance to win what was one of the positives about Brandon that the offense doesn’t change very much with him in there that he’s like pry in a lot of ways that um you don’t really skip a beat uh yeah you know there’s not a big game plan adjustment you know it wasn’t this is something that we didn’t think would happen early in the week so we were fully preparing for Brock to go and um getting a little surprised about this on yesterday uh nothing has to change so um that’s a good deal for [Music] us without P without I mean the situation you know obviously doesn’t look great it’s the NFL I mean everyone will say oh gosh you guys have no chance you know but C things have happened I guess what is your message to the team when you fa this kind of adversity um I mean I think we’ve had a real good week of practice you know I know it’s disappointing um you know we knew there was a chance for Nick you know I think the guys were a little surprised with Brock yesterday but um we addressed all that today and uh we’re going to have 40 guys 48 guys in uniform and I know our guys believe in them themselves I believe in them and we’re missing two good players definitely but we got a lot of good players out there so um by by no means you not have a chance to win so we’re going to go fight our tails off and expect this to be a real good game with Mooney it just needed some more time to kind yeah I mean just taking three four weeks off you know it’s not like um dealing with with all that stuff he’s getting workouts in or anything like that so we were just happy to get him back in the building this week uh we didn’t want to put any pressure on him by any means to um get ready to play he just wanted to get back in the field uh he had two and a half good days of practice I say a half just because of what today’s like um but hopefully uh he’ll be good to go next week has TR showed progress or is it still right up to kickoff it’s still right up to kickoff the fact that you went through three quarterbacks a couple years ago and still made the NFC Championship give the team hope knowing that you’ve been through this kind of adversity before um um I don’t think they look at it that way I mean it’s good to have that story and stuff but um I think why they have hope is because they’re with Brandon every single day so I mean I know outside of here people haven’t seen a lot of Brandon because he hasn’t had to go in yet but this is Brandon’s second year they see him on Scout team all the time and um you know obviously guys want Brock up but guys are excited to see Brandon [Music] play Given that Brandon had been uh sort of in the you know the your coaching tree so to speak with Sean and with lefl and Zach Taylor who had been with Sean and did did he get here did he pick things up quickly when as soon as he got here um uh I mean he picked things up just being a vet and stuff I’d say the coaching tree is a little overrated I mean just um you know just it branches off we’re all from the S same places but um he looks at things where he’s been things are all subtly different but he’s got a lot of experience been around a while and uh he’s been comfortable we’ve been comfortable with him since his first day here how did uh how did charar Bo get through practice this week and this where’s he at uh I thought he did a real good job getting through the week you know um we we threw him out he got a ease in there doing all the scout team stuff you know I thought he really gave us good looks all week got his body feeling you know just more confident each day um just talking to him I I think he’s in a good spot we all know he’s grieving a lot and um you know that really probably never F we know that never fully stops but I think it has been somewhat therapeutic for him to get out on the football field and things like that and um be able to focus a little bit on his craft for just a little bit and but he’s always going through that and it’s nice that we can be here for him as much as we can with him back in the building all right if you’re just joining us here on CBS Sports HQ we were following some big news where Kyle Shanahan is saying Brock pie is out against the Packers because of that shoulder injury got an MRI on Monday and then Shanahan saying that he’s up in the air for next week as well it’s going to be Brandon Allen getting the nod Shanahan also mentioning that Nick Bosa is out as well you’re getting a look at the current NFC Playoff Picture the ners at 500 there currently on the outside looking in the NFC West is a very very tight race currently led by the Cardinals who are in that three andc spot if the season ended today and again they play the Packers on Sunday and coming up on the other side we’re going to talk about what this means for your fantasy team Heath Cummings is joining us on the other side again Brock py is out and how that pertains to your fantasy team all the injuries we have that next CBS Sports ahq Kyle Shanahan telling the media that Brock pie is out against the Packers because of a shoulder injury now Brock pry had an MRI on that shoulder um on Monday he was of course Limited in practice this week but he is going to be out not playing against the Packers Shane Hanan also adding that pry status is even up in the air for next week so that means it is Brandon Allen who is going to get the start in his place as the Niners currently sit at 500 on the season on the outside looking in as it pertains to the playoffs but what does this mean for your fantasy team let’s bring in our fantasy expert Heath Cummings go down the whole week 12 injury report but of course starting with that big news Kyle Shanahan just saying Brock pie is out because of that shoulder injury so Heath walk us through what this means not only if Brock py is your qb1 but also for the rest of the receivers there including uh George KD who we thought might be on the injury report but Shanahan not mentioning that at all so there are plenty of options in CBS leagues on the waiver wire my favorite would be Drake May he’s rostered in 47% of CBS leagues has a decent matchup against Miami this week has been in that 22o fantasy range on a semi-regular basis this year and if you are really desperate and you can’t get him then maybe you go get someone like a kooper rush like a Tommy deito or even like a Brandon Allen but hopefully you can find Drake may as for the pass catchers it’s a clear and obvious negative but we’ve got six teams on a buy and we’ve got all kinds of injuries all over the NFL so it’s maybe not quite as big of impact in terms of rankings as you might guess Christian mcaffrey still a must start running back George KD still a must start tight end the one guy that you might have with KD is Kate auton and I did move KD just behind Kate utton so if you have KD and uton start uton but otherwise KD’s a must start tight end the wide receivers are really where you kind of see this impact a little bit more Jaan Jennings has been fantastic the last two weeks without Brandon auk has looked like a must start wide receiver he was a border line top 12 guy in our rankings at the beginning of the week because we didn’t think KD was playing and we didn’t think fie was playing now that’s been flipped on its head I don’t have Jennings or Deo Samuel ranked as a top 24 wide receiver I think if you’re in a three wide receiver League you are still starting both if you’re in a two wide receiver League I am hoping that I can do better uh I I would not be surprised if we see the overall pass rate of this team change and then I think you’ll see the pass pass efficiency take a big hit P’s been one of the most effic efficient passers in the NFL since he joined the 49ers that’s one final point that I’ll make is Brandon Allen might not be terrible we’ve seen this offense kind of carry some pretty mediocre quarterbacks in the past we saw what Jimmy Garoppolo looked like once he left San Francisco Nick Mullen looked okay in this offense once upon a time I think Brandon Allen will be okay just not anywhere close to as good as Brock py has been yeah man it’s just been a tough year in terms of injuries for the ners it feels like they just cannot get away from that injury bug Heath you mentioned it there’s a lot of buys a lot of injuries um so we’re going to move along to the running bags DeAndre Swift he is questionable he is someone I have on my roster and I’m struggling Heath
