much and now here are your goofball hosts Drew and Rob welcome B goop balls to two giant goo balls New York Giants podcast I am Drew soon to be joined here by my co-host as we go over the embarrassing loss here today the New York football Giants versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers guys this is this is this is one another low point in the Giants season guys just when you think things can’t get lower you know we go into this game with a little bit of optimism you know you go into it with going okay well you know we’ve got the new quarterback with Tommy DeVito now starting in case of you know New York chin scape goat Daniel Jones and you know I get the optimism Daniel Jones was not a good quarterback okay at least somebody knew it’s at least something we can go okay at least we moved on to Seas some DJ you know but yeah a little more little bit differ but the same old result basically at that point that’s where we’re at Giants lost today an absolute embarrassing loss 30-7 guys 30 to7 and and and I can’t I I can’t look at this this this game with much positivity but I’m going to try to give you some positivity guys I really will um it’s there’s nothing 100% negative but this is about as close as the get guys Point Blank this is about as close as a gets you know you look at all the negativity in this game the defense just let Baker Mayfield do whatever he wanted to do the entire game we were out coached play BL in this game Brian D made some very very massive mistakes especially with play calling um you know the you know the offense was just non-existent basically for the entire first half of the game guys so you know let’s get right into it talking about what is really the story of the game here and that’s Tommy DeVito you know Tommy DeVito comes to this game he’s the change of pace guy he’s the new face he’s the guy who was the spark plug as Brian dble called him as they made the switch and again it’s the right move to make the switch I stand by that decision like that that’s that that was the right move for his franchise to make it was an embarrassment the way they did it to DJ I’ll still stand by that as well but it was the right move to make the switch so they go ahead and make the switch over to Tommy DeVito who like I said spark po last year as D said there three and three as a starter had a couple of decent games there guys the first half he didn’t do a damn thing like I think 30 passing yards the first half and you know some of it was definitely some Rush some of it was definitely some Nerfs probably you also look at the fact that JM luminor got hurt in this game Chris hubber came in a left tackle so you have Evan Neil and uh you know Chris hubber back to back there back tackles there in this whole thing and he got a lot of hit on him there A lot of times he got hit so of the sacks brought him though holding the ball too long again it problem DJ had to as well so it’s not a knock up him as is a consistency for the Giants here um but yeah just couldn’t get a damn thing going now the second half he finally got stuff going ends up at the game 16 to 24 100 uh I should we refresh this I the live game we’re doing there we do the play byplay so ends up at that point in the game let’s see here 21 of 31 189 yards on the game now it’s hard to say how good his second half was though for two reasons one his first half was just that bad and two you go back to his second half and go well how much is that was the Bucks allowing it you know at this point when when he started doing his thing the Bucks were already up 23 to nothing you know you think the Bucks were in like heavy like stop Tommy to be with all cost kind of mode of course they were that’d be ridiculous to think that the the the Bucks were at that point were just trying to sneak out with the win at that I don’t mean sneak out your close but mean sneak out like don’t end up get anybody injured just prevent defense you know and they had no respect this offense at that point but he did get things some things going at least in the second half there uh started focusing a lot more on Malik neighbors who was had not a single catch the first half and slowly but surely he got everything going um but again I you were hoping for a spark with Debo there was a spark there was absolutely no spark whatsoever and you look at this and you go this is the same same story just different face you know it’s almost like when they uh like when they when a TV show recast somebody and we’re supposed to act like we don’t notice the difference that’s what basically just basically happened you know this is Becky number two from Roseanne basically you know like this nothing nothing has changed it’s the same story and he did make some deep throws this game and I have no confidence at all that that DJ would have done that because he couldn’t do it all year long but in the end Tommy deito is not a starting quarterback in this league guys we said that from the get-go all we’re trying to see here is if Tommy DeVito can be a decent backup in this league and just based on this game alone he’ll have other chances obviously to say otherwise based in this game then you gotta see out you know he’s a guy who’s a free agent at the end of the year a guy who literally you have to figure out what you’re going to do with the end of the season and if it continues this way it’s going to be stop Gap going to move on clean the QB room out entirely and start freshing new next year because you can’t deal with these kind of performances and sit there and say oh this is a guy who could be a backup this is a guy who could win you some games potentially you know he locked down to a few wins last year but if you look you look at at the games last last year that he won a lot of the defense getting turnovers like crazy and it’s not to take away from him for what he did but that’s what the story was of the whole thing you know as Deb says I read earlier that Dil did not commit to starting Deo the rest of the season he didn’t and he shouldn’t that have been foolish to do that because that would have made it a big issue if he did make the change because I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Drew lock comes in at some point in the season if not for any other reason than to give Drew lock some saving of his face or would speak there in this whole scenario he obviously he got a little bit egg in his face the way way this went down because the backup quarterback got bypassed by the thir string quarterback to start you know and he got he got the one the one uh you the one play in when deito got hurt temporarily but you know it’s a meaningless play obviously at that point but you know we’ll see what happens with deito if he continues playing like he did in the second half he’ll be fine and he’ll be a guy you can sit there say could be a potential backup in this league because he just playing like he played the first half he thing it’s time for lock just even just again to try to get something going at that point there and just try to get out of this season with something to hang your hat on at all of semblance of not being absolutely embarrassed but you know deito not good today guys not good today and you know I heard that they were saying during the The Telecast that deito purposely told his his family you know his parents and his agent to kind of tone it down not to be kind of the the side show that it was for for him last year and you know they didn’t really I don’t know where they were in the stands the TV didn’t really go to them and if they did um they didn’t point it out specifically I weren’t very out about it there um you know trying to listen to my earpieces I was doing the live of play so um it just it just seems like he gets it that he needed to be legit right now he’s fighting for a future in the NFL basically but a game like this won’t do it I’m not ready to give up to on DeVito as a backup yet um in this league going forward but if if this this the kind of game we’re going to get from him and it’s not going to go over very well it’s not going to last very long at all and it’s something that he’s going to be ending his his time with the Giants and maybe he’ll be a guy that’ll be like he was us these these other years where he’s a mercy quarterback he’s a guy who keep in the practice squad whatever the case may be but he wants more than that you can’t play with but this is not the game that’s going to get you more than that this the guy the game that’s going to get you exactly what you were an emergency quarterback a practice squad guy a fringe NFL player and he’s smart enough to know Tommy is that the average player in the NFL gets about three years you are going to year two this is going to be Make It or Break It time in general you know he’s that’s where that’s where we’re at um but yeah it’s it’s except not a good start for him some positivity in the second half but I’m still not sure how much of that is him and how much of that is the Bucks just get giv up and playing more prevent style at that point there so because they just GL have no respect for the Giants and the way their offens was playing there so um let’s get into the topic there that I I saw Deb putting in a comment before saying Dave over his head period let’s get get in the table cuz I’m I’m with you Dev I’m with you he’s he’s 100% over his head at this point I feel like there’s a the biggest issue I have with d right now guys is his play calling there’s two plays in specific that I want to really call out and I want to kind of flip out up out a little bit here so early in the game I think it was the second drive we had there’s a fourth and one fourth and one we’re about and if somebody has the exact I don’t have that with me right now but if you want to put in the comment section feel free the ball was about the 40 yard so we’re not at Midfield yet fourth and one and a long run wasn’t a fourth and a half a yard wasn’t fourth inches it was a fullon yard the Giants decided to go for it this point we’re down seven nothing seven nothing and for whatever reason Brian D was like let’s go for it you got a rookie quarterback in I quack sorry you got a third string quarterback basically in there you got you know an offense that look really bad for the first you know couple plays minus one long run of the very first play by Tyrone and Tracy Jr and you decided to go for a fourth and one when the defense had already given up a touchdown the first time the the Bucks got the ball and if you don’t make it you’re going to give the defense a really bad field position to try to stop them from scoring again I said they decide to go for now that alone makes no sense whatsoever absolutely no sense stupid move should never happen but they go for it what do they do you got a rookie running back has five yards a carry on average you have a somewhat mobile quarterback in there and then what do you do you have ju Del Robinson come around do an end round try to run for a yard juandale Robinson that’s the guy you decide to go with that’s absolutely ridiculous guys first off end of round we’ve had no luck with whatsoever absolutely no luck but then you decide that you’re going to doal with with a guy on a fourth and one and a guy that literally is 5 fo8 183 pounds guys 5 foot 8 183 pounds that’s the guy you decided to do an end round in between the guard and the tackle on a fourth and one on a ridiculous play you should be going for fourth down on and of course he doesn’t get it of course he doesn’t get it why would you not use your rookie running back who’s averaging five yards a carry that’s what running backs are there for to do these short yardage things it’s part of their game it’s part of what their system is part of why you have a running back D gets too cute at times for himself he thinks he can be Mr fancy do something cool look at that great play calling by Brian D look how fancy he is you’re not fancy you’re looking stupid dude cut it out then you go to the the the first drive you know that the the Giants had that was good in that second half and all of a sudden the Giants are first in goal their first time in the Red Zone let alone at goal and the Giants decided to go ahead and do another trick play got Tommy Deo out there on the right side as a as a wide receiver like a wildcat kind of formation there they snap the ball directly to Tyrone and Tracy Tyrone and Tracy hands the ball off to Devon single ter and they fumble the wall why the hell in that scenario when everything was going good the Giants were finally driving the ball correctly I didn’t say everything go everything going good that drive clarify that because the game’s been a [ __ ] show the whole time but on that specific Drive everything was going well for the chines finally and they were finally moving the ball and D got too cute for himself again decided he’s got to go ahead and do a trick play got to show his his offensive prowess off got to do something fancy and Bumble ends all the ends all the momentum and anybody who watching that game first off I feel sorry if you were but anybody who’s watching that game had to know that the Giants were going to score in that dve whether a field goal touchdown who knows it was first and five first first goal at the five yard line guys they were going to score something get some kind of points to the board and instead D decides to do something stupid and loses it absolutely loses it so one of the biggest issues I have in this is three points right there given to the Buccaneers because of the field goal on that first first the fourth and one that point thank God they that Sean um Shan Tucker fumbled the ball and allowed the uh you know the Giants to get out of there without giving up a touchdown but that’s three points a g up you take me probably would have been a touchdown it’s the way the Giants driving the ball on that second play that’s a 10-point swing guys 10-point swing that puts the game at in that scenario 20 to 17 that’s a big difference now in that scenario that anything could to happen whatever blah blah blah the Bucks could done something different in the second half because they weren’t up as big the Giants could have done something different because they had more momentum who knows what would happen but if you don’t see how that’s that important and that big of a deal to this game then I’m sorry you’re just not watching football you don’t know football that is that killed any momentum for the Giants on both those scenarios it’s set up for failure right off the bat and the guy who set them up Point blanket is the guy who’s was pulling the plays oh by the way that’s the head coach by the way that’s the guy supposed to be an offensive Guru by the way that’s the guy supposedly the guy who can fix quarterbacks and do all these crazy things all year long I have said dble has not lost the locker room therefore he hasn’t lost me I’ve been very consistent with that and I don’t know if he’s lost the locker room yet which I got to say the defense definitely think he was playing half speed at times I don’t know if if he’s lost the them but he’s lost me this was the final final straw for me the play calling which is supposed to be his thing supposed to be how good he is was absolutely atrocious absolutely atrocious and this is not the first game he’s done that you know when he did the the fourth and one and BR are the sorry the uh the the the fumble on the uh the handoff from single ter from from Tracy the singl it reminded me of the the two down two-point conversion the Giants had versus the Ste ERS it was the same kind of asine drawn up play that just made no sense and got fancy for no freaking reason this is what the Giants have been doing all year long and I’m tired of it I’m absolutely goddamn tired of it you know and I I think it’s time to say because you know I wasn’t wasn’t you know big on Shane if you guys watch the show on a regular basis I can some you all in the comments there I’m not I haven’t been big on Shane in a while and I want to move on from Shane I’m at the point now where I also want to move on from Brian tble because of this and who knows maybe he’ll do something in the next you know six games to win me back but I highly doubt it highly doubt it you know but it’s at this point here it’s it’s time to clean house and I don’t want to keep on doing I get the the sentiment Mara has that doesn’t make sense to keep cleaning house you keep cleaning house you keep you never get continuity you become an embarrassment I get it guys guess what we’re already goddamn embarrassment we’re already a damn embarrassment I’m done I’m done with being embarrassed I’m tired of being embarrassed I’m tired of this this this team just breaking our hearts left and right and I’m I’m tired of seeing y all upset as well it’s just it’s it’s not fair to any of us that we keep on dealing with this BS this team that quite frankly underperforms in such a regular basis and you know the asess of Joe Shane Hard Knocks to the stupid plays by Brian D I’m done with these two I’m done it is time to move on it is time to move on so you know I mentioned it during the the play byplay I’m gonna I’m gonna talk to you guys real quick about this I’m curious to getbody feedback on this one idea that I’m kind of curious about is a potential fix to this franchise and there’s a lot of moving Parts a lot of moving Parts is what if we got Brian Dil and Joe Shane bolt out of there we go ahead and replace Dil with Mike Fel who I think is one of the better coaching candidates out there at least the better of the experienced coaching candidates out there that’s for sure um get Mike brael in there he’s back with Shan Shane bone to keep bow Mike CF is gonna be gone the second he can be gone you bring in uh joshu MC Daniels to go ahead be the offensive coordinator who did a decent job as an offens coord with the Patriots for how many years you bring Bill bich back in the front office not as a coach but in the front office and I know he wants the coach probably but I’m sorry time has passed him but I think that’ be a move to fix this Giants team I really do I think this is a way to fix what’s going on because there’s no way in hell Bill bellich would not stop the embarrassment that happened on hard KN talking about saquon Barkley in a negative way which is classless I’m sorry it’s Point bling classless by Joe Shane the way he talk about he they would never allow what happened with Daniel Jones he would just said Point Daniel Jones we moving on and we don’t plan on playing you again and it’s probably best it’s probably best to move on without embarrassing you because we want to show you the respect you deserve for being part of this team for five and a half years you know and they would have cut they would have just cut D Jones we off the bat they would have had a press conference announced a mutual parting of ways and done it in the appropriate way the respectful way for everything Daniel Jones gave into this franchise again he’s not a good quarterback but the man busted his butt this team busted his butt this team deser more respect than he got this week from the uh from the Giants and you see Giants fans like crazy talking about it to as well you know and I and I I’m curious to see if that would work you know as Conor says but how good do you think belich would be as a GM he was basically GM and the Patriots uh but in the last years they suck I I’m not suggesting let me clear I’m not suggesting belich as a GM I think that’s not the right role for him um you know I think that the right role for him is to be you know M I think the right role for him is a spot and appreciate l l and pick there Mike having mic issues I didn’t realize sorry um the uh the right spot for him is to be a more of a president of this this this team like a like a team president that point let him be the guy that the GM reports to I think that’s the right spot for him and I don’t know if the Giants would be interested in that I really don’t I don’t know if if belich would be he wants the coach but I think that’s the right move to try to get this this team up and running in a way that doesn’t embarrass this team anymore because he’s not gonna allow that to happen vel’s a good coach as well Josh McDaniels has been a a good offensive coordinator Shane Bowen has worked with brael before to me all these moving Parts work all these moving Parts would get us back to a spot where we’re not embarrassed anymore by this this franchise it would give us a spot to be optimistic about it and Bill bich loves his team guys absolutely loves his team like he’s he’s talked about it before you’ve heard guys like Julian Edelman saying hey I you know Bill belich loves this he’d love to be part of the Giants again blah blah blah you know I think he would do it because I don’t think anybody really wants him as a head coach at this point no offense to him I don’t want to be like an AIS year but he’s what 72 73 teams that usually go ahead and pick a guy like Bill bich or a new head coach in general they’re trying to rebuild you don’t rebuild with the 72 73 year old guy now you can rebuild the franchise but you don’t rebuild coaching wise with it because a couple years he’s what 75 how long he plan in coaching for you know I I I just think that’s the best role for him you know where he can do that kind of role kind of like Tom Coughlin did for the Jaguars you know that’s that’s where I think is you know the best bet for him is that kind of spot and it worked out for the Jaguars for a little bit in the long term didn’t but it’s it’s it’s the Jaguars there’s a lot of issues with them in general um but yeah I guess said I think that that’s a reasonable way to fix this team and I think it’s it’s it’s a plan that would potentially work and I think it’s a plan that actually could get off the ground I don’t know what the Giants are thinking we’ll see what Mara and Tish are thinking this off season I don’t think they’re going to make any kind of major moves right now uh I have said though if we’re going to move on from from from from Brian dable I would rather they did that during the season and I would rather them do that during the season and go ahead and allow uh Mike Kafka shot I think it’d be a fair thing to do for Mike Kafka Mike Kafka has been put through the ringer by this franchise guys he was you know had his play calling taken away given back taken away given back to uh him again taken away now giv to uh Shane tney the quarterback coach you know Brian D is by all accounts been kind of rude and abusive to him at times there um and he wanted gone he wanted gone this offseason kfco wanted gone I mean guys he it’s not just the head coaching jobs he actually wanted to go ahead and interview for the offensive coordinator job for the Seahawks and the Giants blocked him that’s that’s just to me Insanity you got to go ahead and let him go you got to go ahead let let him let him do his thing and if a coach wants to leave you should let him leave I’m sorry you should it’s not like a player where you go oh we’ll work this out you got a five-year contract you kept a guy that he shouldn’t have kept in my eyes you should have let my Kafka walk proot a she tney if you wanted to keep some continuity call it a day but you can do right by him now if the Giants decide to go ahead and and get rid of uh Brian Dil you go ahead and just bring in Mike kfka let him be the uh the OC I let him be the head coach I’m sorry and let him let him get a shot because he’s a guy who’s already had a couple of interviews for the for the head coaching positions at places like like the a for mentioned Seattle Seahawks before they hired Mike McDonald looked at him the Cardinals looked at him I know last year I want to say the Colts looked at him last year as well so you know the guy had a couple of couple of interviews and it’d be nice to go ahead and you know give a shot to a guy like that and you write by him in the end say you know what we haven’t been right by up to now we want to do this to you give you a chance to go ahead and Coach this team and see if you can improve some things and give you a chance to kind of audition and then at the end of the year we’ll revisit it because I mean maybe capka is crazy and all of a sudden you want him as a head coach I doubt that but I said that’ be nice swan song sort of speak for him and a guy that I kind of feel bad for what’s happened to him in his time with New York Giants I don’t think I don’t think that the da and the Giants have treated him right and you know we put a lot of blame on on him at time when he was the offensive coordin I was also the play caller now he’s just the offensive coordinat but he’s not calling plays you know I like I said I I I think it’s it’s a way to write or wrong I think it’s something we should do there um let’s talk about the the running back position here because that was the thing we talked about leading up to this game here he had two of the the the rookie running backs the two top rookie running backs in this league here battling it out on the same field you know it’s the obvious two best ones there the Third we talked about Ray Davis at the Buffalo Bills nowhere near stat wise where uh Tracy and Irving are right now um but let’s take a look right now at at those here so you got Bucky Irving on the day 12 carries 87 yards and a touchdown U six catches 64 yards as well now we had one big run as well that also really helped an over 50 yard run at that point that really helped this the rushing stats there wasn’t for that run honestly he didn’t do that much running the ball uh Tyrone and Tracy Jr nine carries 42 yards um and then had four catches for 28 yards as well so overall good day I will say this a lot of the receiving yards on his are total BS because it was the last Drive couple of his catches like that so you know the stats are inflated honestly on both players one a really really long run that just you know you can’t count on week in week out for a running back to do that and won a lot of you know catches that just didn’t matter and the defense was giving him he was the checkdown guy so but both these guys are I think they’re both guys are going to be you’re just seeing the league for quite a while uh they’re both guys that I think are going to be you know doing good things this league for a while uh we’ll see how longs are running backs you never know year to year how things change but you know Bucky Irving was a guy that we were pretty high on coming out of this draft we thought he was kind of underrated to a certain degree went where he should have gone like a mid- round kind of guy there and doing his thing now Tyrone and Tracy came up at where so you know kudos to both those guys they they both have put on good rookie Seasons they’re both headed to doing special things and like I said they they both deserve it even even the Bucks guy you know I don’t like to talk negative about other teams if they’re not the giant they’re not the Cowboys or the the uh um the Eagles there so you know we we’ll roof for this kid for the weeks he’s not playing with us because you go a you got a ro for a kid to come up and do special things that by all accounts seems to be very good kid you know again I live in the Tampa Bay area so I get to see a lot of Bucky Irving stuff there on regular basis and it’s been all positivity out of him there so um let’s go into the defense here guys though we got to talk about the defense you know and the big question is how bad was the defense today I mean they gave up 30 points guys there’s no way to to sugarcoat to make it seem like the defense was good absolutely no way to sugarcoat that the defense gave up a ton of points but I also look at the fact that what they did in this game and I go you know okay hold on they gave up seven points in the second half and that’s it but this is kind of like a conversation we had a minute ago about you know about Tommy deito DeVito put up a lot of more yards in the second half looked a lot better but it’s also a scenario where deito was playing against the defense and wasn’t trying as hard was the offense trying as hard in the second half because the Giants gave up 23 points in that first half they only gave up seven the second and I can tell you that most of that fourth quarter they were just running the ball running the ball running the ball and they didn’t care about scoring they just wanted the game to be over and move on go back to Tampa that’s the mode the Bucks were’re in but I I think I’m going to be willing to give this team a pass in this game I think that that’s the appropriate way to do um you know I think you look at this team and go you know what the first half the offense wasn’t doing a damn thing the defense was gassed the entire time and you know I I look at that and go you know what I’m going to get them a pass in this game if you look at what the Bucs do in an average game that bucks do about 27 points a game and that’s what the the Giants gave a field goal over that so they basically did average that’s not the craziest thing in the world to suggest there at that point you know if you look at the time possession battle the Giants defense was on the field for almost was 1 second shy of 34 minutes guys and the offense just 26 minutes on the field this defense was gassed didn’t have a chance now did they give up a ton of yards yes could they stop the run yeah they were not too bad considering especially if you take that 50 yard R um could they stop Baker Mayfield doing whatever he wanted nope but that’s what this Giants defense does they’re a Bend but don’t break defense they give up an average points typically again the Bucks average 27 points a game we gave up just above the average of What the Bucks typically score a game so I can’t sit there and knock this defense whatsoever what I can do is knock this offense for not scoring anything at all in the first half getting this one touchdown in the second half against a horrendous bucks defense and if this offense had done a goddamn thing whatsoever this defense wouldn’t have put up 30 points and I I hate the 100% put it on the one side of the ball but I’m going in this case because it’s the goddamn truth if this offense had done anything whatsoever then this defense wouldn’t have put up 30 points it wouldn’t look nearly as bad as it was but instead this defense just point blank just couldn’t stop anything they were gas you saw them like huffing and puffing like you wouldn’t believe the entire time they and it’s not a them being out of shape Guys these guys are they’re professional athletes they’re all in good shape it’s not a conditioning issue it’s an issue of that no defense succeeds when they can’t get off the damn field and that they finally do make a stop and then next thing you know they’re also you know backed on the field you know middle eater because it’s a three and out by the offense now could they have improved yes I’m not sitting there kissing the defenses but I’m not saying they were great you know Deontay Banks had a horrible game he looked absolutely horrendous this entire time you know Mike Evans basically whatever the hell he wanted on him you know he was ecstatic when he stopped Sterling sheer from getting a touchdown like you beat the third fourth receiver you shouldn’t be you shouldn’t be ecstatically you just say greatest thing ever you did what you’re supposed to do you did what it’s expected of you that’s what you did you know and then you look at the things going on with you know the Run game The Run they stopped the Run game to a certain degree you know like I said that’s that’s not that’s not horrible at that point there um G again 156 rushing yards which is bad on paper but again you take out that one big run that Irving had and you’re it’s not that bad you know um 3.1 yards a carry to to Rashad white8 yards to carry to Shawn Tucker you know Baker had he had a good game running the ball but that’s on the pass rushers not staying in their Lanes more than the run defense that one running play made the big difference for a team that has to be able to stop the run all year long and then like I said you throw into the fact that the fact that the the Giants just couldn’t stop the receivers Mike Evans five catches 68 yards could have could have had probably 100 200 yard kind of game if they wanted him to they just didn’t have to go that route any time he was he was you know they want to get in the ball they just did he was wide open the whole time you know there there was some drops even Kate Aon had one of the big drops there um you know you had the one uh the one big catch he had for 30 yards he had the 26 y by P Durham so both tight ends also were getting the action there too as well but like I said it’s wasn’t as bad though on the defensive side because of the what they were going against so I’m not going to go ahead and totally trash them when I’m going to trash I’m G to trash the offense again for doing nothing I’m GNA trash Brian dble and his crappy play calling and I’m GNA say it’s time for the Giants to clean housee guys it’s time for the Giants to move on and say you know no more we’re done being embarrassed and it’s time to move on with the new regime because this regime that’s all they’ve done so um let’s get comments here real quick guys so Anthony kicks us off with guys that’s what we do we put the best guy out there so you know if you’re coming as a backup and you’re beating the guy out that’s a starter you might have a chance to take his role whereas other people might be less prone to do that we’ve shown we’re willing to do that so you could spin it as a positive to as well I think to a certain degree um but it’s not going to be easy it depends on who believes and doesn’t believe on that there uh Conor says get Rex Ryan and tanon bomb if Jets don’t want them Daniel wasn’t it Tommy isn’t it dble Shane not it either let’s mix it up because I’m tired of watching games like this for years I little well yeah I I’m I’m tired as well Point Blank but I don’t think Rex Ryan and tab bomb are the are the answer guys when you have a guy out there publicly begging for a job which is what you know Rex Ryan has been doing publicly begging for a job that just tells you nobody wants him if nobody wants him should we want him just being honest like if nobody else wants this guy should we want him how long has Rex Ryan been out of the league now you know they they say that time does pass coaches by and I I I do think that that’s a scenario potentially with Rex Ryan you know it’s been quite a while since he’s been in the league so 2016 was was last time as as as a as a coach let alone a head coach 2016 guys and now you’re looking at eight years later nine years later you wanted to be the head coach again I just I just don’t think that’s the route to go I don’t I think I think his time has past him I think if you want to be a head coach again he should have stayed in the coaching ranks instead and I’m not knocking him when I say this but instead he went to ESPN decided to get into talking because I paid him decent to do it you know he’s he’s an entertaining guy to watch listen talk about things even though he’s got some weird plastic surgery going on lately where he kind of looks like Jack Nicholas as the Joker lately um but like you said I I’m not going to blame the guy for that but if you wanted to Coach Rex you should have stay in coaching you’ve left and you left for too long uh Conor says zi Deb let’s get John Gruden now John Gruden’s a different scenario John Gruden is just an offensive Guru overall um what I’m just curious about though is everything that happened with him in the emails and saying the things he said like don’t me wrong I think the NFL is at to get him they wanted him to be the Fall Guy s to speak for everything going on in uh you know Las Vegas at the time that being said his emails were still his emails uh I have to go back and look at him it’s been a couple years since I’ve looked at that story and I can’t remember exactly what he said but I remember he said some things that weren’t exactly kosher to put it nicely and if it’s if it’s a bigoted or racist or homophobic thing that that’s not a guy I want with our franchise Point Blank um if it was things that were potentially taken as that but weren’t that there’s that gray area but said I remember there was something he said I have I’d have to look it up and that’s not the day for that there like I said we we were talking about during this during the play-by-play I we’ll probably have a show here coming up of potential guys to replace Joe Shane and potential guys to replace Brian D so that’ll probably him up during that topic there so um let’s see here um as everything moving past here let’s see oh I lost my place entirely where I was at there up there we go um Jeb says I don’t think we to worry about tanking we’re doing it anyway yeah we kind of are doing on his own kind of doing it on his own there um Conor says thank God there’s old lines old games online I can watch when we used to at least fight to win games and score points yeah that’s that’s exactly it exactly it uh Anthony says and this is talking about the trick plays that he was uh D was calling there said that’s the type of play you call in the Red Zone when you’re up 30 to7 yeah exactly not when you’re down now when you have a third string quarterback in there now when you have a lack of continuity with backup tackles both in as well there’s a lot of things that just just don’t make any sense uh Connor says I was hoping Tommy play good and at least give us a game on Thanksgiving they will rename this and turkey day is s flipping day I don’t think that Cowboys aren’t that good I I think it’ll be a close game than it was today for sure but uh listen at this point there I can’t I can’t imagine any scenario where I go at the team and and get the game and say the Giants will win I fell for it today I really thought that that D would uh you know look better as a play caller I thought that Dita would get his things rolling and this didn’t happen so I’ve lost all hope for the rest of the season Point Blank uh Connor says so was should have lost at home to cow pukes is official and let’s see here Conor says if Jets weren’t bad people might think we were the Jets oh well yeah Conor says yes Rabel would be good I think you nailed it but you’re right but belich wants to coach to get record he does but nobody wants him to coach that’s said that this would be a close game are they the Chiefs don’t tend to blow teams they just don’t uh Deb says talk about what dble talk about seeing what DeVito can do how about let’s seeing what CF can do exactly like I said I think another the week or two if we decide to move on from dble and I think that’s what it be you gotta give him another week or two to see what he can do without Daniel Jones if that’s the case and we decide is TI to move on they let CF get coached the rest of the Year let him let him let him do it uh Conor says Panthers losing would have helped us dang it yeah would have uh what’s up brother Miz here what’s up man um Connor says LOL just saw a Christmas ornament with saquan doing that reverse jump over guy’s head bet d Shane Maro loves that that’s tiny move on that’s done that’s just is what it is uh Conor says bears and Vikings tied up 2727 overtime and says I don’t think meor uh well hold on oh I don’t think mea not mirrors John mea going to want to do another GM and Coach I don’t think he does either to be honest I think he thinks that he’s being too quick with some of these guys but in this case here like I said I think that the handling of the Jones and Sequon issue has lost me uh any confidence I have in Shane going forward and the issues of what has gone on with you know the play calling and all has lost be dable at this point I don’t I just don’t have any faith in either one of them at this point I don’t I just where I’m at uh Anthony says at the end of the first quarter I told my fiance I’m getting a pillow and a blanket I’m going to at least be comfy with this disaster she was shocked why not let’s get a bottle of rum while we’re at of to you know let’s let’s go for our full on there uh Conor say I think mcnown has helped darnold a lot get better he looks good right now um I mean I think darnold looks good honestly I think it’s Fool’s go to be a certain degree I mean Justin Jefferson he’s good right you know I mean just helps helps the quarterback there Jordan he’s good look what happened to K when he lost him that when TJ hackinson that with the fact that they have a decent line you know I I I just think that he’s got all the tools around him and I think you look at a guy like um Sam darnold and he has the makings of like when Matt Castle went to Kansas City and couldn’t repeat the whole process with a new team I don’t think I don’t think that Sam darnold would be a good quarterback anywhere else I don’t I think it’s the weapons around him making him look good he’s got a great defense he’s got two good receivers one being a top receiver in this league got a good tight end he’s got a decent offensive line got everything around him succeed if you can’t succeed there you are never going to succeed anywhere and I I can’t say he’s he’s crushing it I can’t he’s looking like a good quarterback don’t get me wrong but guys he’s got a a 67 completion percentage is that great no 2387 yards that’s not bad it’s all right 19 touchdowns again not bad at all 10 interceptions that’s bad like I said I’m not I’m not big at him I’m really not I’m just I just it’s where I’m at Conor says in regards to Rex Ryan of course he got label but you can’t deny he’d bring a great defense and he’d probably get himself a good offensive coach it’s not begging its desire if it’s desire though why not got a coaching job five years ago than Conor like I said I feel like I feel like it’s begging I don’t think anybody wants him to be a coach I think I think they’ve moved on from Rex Ryan and I think you can say great defensive coach he was a great defensive coach 10 years ago but can we really sit there and say he’s still a great defensive coach we haven’t seen him do it in a decade the NFL changes the things thingss pass you know that’s why you don’t see guys out of the league for years and then all a sudden back all of a sudden just doesn’t work uh Dorthy says giants look really good today equipment manager doing a excellent job yes the equipment manager is doing an excellent job MVP of the game clearly MVP H well like I said another embarrassing loss there guys it’s where we’re at it’s that time to tear it all down it’s where we’re at time to te all Dam there’s bones there on the roster there’s bones and I’ll give I’ll give Shane the credit for a great draft class you know there there’s but there’s Bones from the Ghan era you know Andrew Thomas part of the Ghan era so you know it’s not all Barren there but I just don’t trust these two anymore uh Conor says what’s the deal with hayatt he sucks Point Blank he sucks you know talked about during the live play byplay uh there’s there’s a lot of talk about you know giving more playing time to some of the young guys to give them a chance to see what they got with them and I’m done with I’m done with them absolutely done with h I think he’s a he’s he’s a yeah I I said it on the show and I on the play by play show and I’ll say it this way here as well it’s not a waste of a pick this is a guy who was a lot of people had his elate first round Talent we got him in the third round gr we had a trade up to get him we got him in the third round but you know you went ahead and took a shot in the kid that some people thought was a lead first round pick when you got him in the third round I can’t knock that it’s just he’s not good it’s not so um Deb says would you resign Kavon uh I don’t know right now I really I really don’t know right now what I would do with Kon Tibido I have to look at what is his fifth year option is but I probably would pick that up and give him another year or two to see what he develops into and take it from there I mean he’s he’s a guy who I had high hopes for coming out of college and I I still think he’s a good player I just don’t think at this time he’s a great player and and he thinks he’s a great player I think which means he’s going to want to get paid like one we already overpaid for Brian Burns guys he’s he’s not a $30 million guy he’s a 2025 million guy so you don’t make the mistake of reigning a guy who also might have to re you know pay him more than he’s worth so like I said I would kick that can down the road i’ pick up the fifth year option keep him for another year or two before you talk about even resigning him say listen you were injured last year you didn’t do that much you had a good year the year before but you also had a high conversion to you know getting in the back field to getting to the quarterback you know and see what happens you know see what see what you do the next year let’s we revisit at the end of the year and if not you can always you know trade him if he that upset about being on the fifth year option somebody will take him uh JY says is Drew Phillips the best player on the team already no mik aist guys and the scary thing is you know after him you got dexra Lawrence probably number two though I can make the Casey’s number one in fact I’m kind of flip-flopping my brain right now which one I see which one’s number one number two um but let’s say one a one B for those guys tied for one it’s hard to judge because once’s an offensive player once’s a defensive player but I I neighbors has obviously been been hampered by the quarterback playing this team but he’s a guy who easily is is is a top player flight receiver this league um but yeah I would say probably a tie for one we’ll say Dexter Lawrence and leak neighbors number two is probably uh Tyrone Tracy Jr at this point uh number three I would say is actually I don’t know Andrew Thomas I gotta keep him in there um I would probably put number four at Brian Burns and then I would probably bring um Drew Phillips he’s probably the top five as scary as it sounds right now and a lot of that is also his youth because you know you got a lot of potential coming uh Connor says jvon nit great either but you G but I don’t know what start my Conor put down the pipe Connor put down the pipe and he says Dorothy summed up great and Dorothy says if you could only have dble drive one ship should it be the lania the Hindenburg or the Titanic now I know the Titanic and the Hindenburg I’m not familiar on the first one but I’m guessing it crashed crashed and burn that seems to be the thing um so yeah I’m gonna say I wouldn’t I I think that he based on what’s going on right now would not change anything at the outcome of those three scenarios is Deb says LOL Dorothy and Conor says wow Dorothy you’re bringing it today listen at least we’re going to have some fun with the scenario if we’re going to lose we’re going to be embarrassed let’s have let’s have some fun with the scenario you know h i I said it’s they had to cry at this point and I don’t feel like crying so um so guys that’s going to be call today for the show here today actually one second here anwan real quick comes in that effing Wildcat call would have to be his last call after the season because what in the F was that and this has to be a oneand done for Shane bum but Bowen he has to go again I’m not going to blame the defense because of the what they had to deal with with this offense because they’re playing a really good great offense as well um yeah the Bucks score 27 points a game usually we gave up 30 Giants defense couldn’t get up couldn’t stay out the field because the offense couldn’t stay on the field so I’ll get the defense to pass but I’m 100% with the UND that that play killed it for me right there that was this the play that put me over the edge where I just don’t want dable anymore either I’m done it’s time to move on time to move on guys uh speak of moving on though guys we’re going to I said we’re going to call a night here uh back again tomorrow give you the post game uh final notes there I’m sure we’ll have a couple stories from this game as well to talk about tomorrow and of course we’ll run down all the uh games there um you know uh of
