e e e e e warning incoming game over warning incoming game over uh good evening everybody um mic’s working good mic’s working check I think we’re good um hello uh hockey fans and welcome to game over Winnipeg’s postgame show of tonight’s game uh between the Winnipeg Jets and the Minnesota Wild uh my name is Ty alello and I’m the host here at game over Winnipeg um and I’m pleased to be here with you after another Victory um another victory for the Winnipeg Jets as the Jets move to 18 and four um to start the season um you know knocking off the number two team in the NHL tonight um by a 4-1 score um you know not not the Jets um best game you we obviously talk about that um but the Jets you know find a way to get it done um to you know knock off a very good um you know inform um Minnesota Wild team um Conor huk obviously gets full credit um full marks for his performance tonight he was um outstanding uh to put it lightly um it kind of looked like it was going to be another one of those rough nights that we had seen um you know like when the Jets lost to you know Tampa and Florida you know a little while back um when Minnesota went up one- nothing um off a jake Middleton goal um I was kind was really worried it going to be one of those nights um but then they turned it around um they turned it around uh quickly um I think it was about a minute later that um aalo scored off a nice pass from Rasmus kupari um obviously in the second period Minnesota came on really strong um you know they were you know close many many of times um you know getting the go-ahead goal um but huk was outstanding um you know the game really shifted I felt like um you know when n you know Nita Ryder scored to make it 2-1 I think the air kind of went out of the building um you know up until that point the Minnesota Wild where um I would say like triple triple our shots and it was like 33 um you know 11 at one point um but then after that you know the game kind of shifted you know and the Jets kind of got some momentum and were you know getting some chances um and kind of rolled the wave the rest of the way um you know in the third period third period was still 2-1 um you know Alex um Alex ialo scored his um you know second goal of the game you know a great night for the fourth line um you know him scoring a power play goal too you know they um on that power play you know arneil went out with the with the second unit um and they scored um I have follow from pan and Peretti um you know redirecting a pan shot uh and then Adam Lowry scored the empty net to make it 4-1 and that’s all she wrote uh Connor heluk I think his most saves this year 43 saves um you know just fantastic fantastic um phip Philip Guston was also good I thought in the the Minnesota wildnet um yeah let’s get by any stretch of the imagination um I you know they really weathered the storm you know for the first half of the game and and then we’re able to turn it up the second half um you know there’s there still wasn’t um you know apart from Connor helu’s um performance tonight there wasn’t a ton of um stuff that I was liking um sure they were making you know better um the ice seem better than making better passes the puck was staying on their stick better um but they were getting they were getting hemmed um you know in their defensive zone for much of the first half of the game um and also like Connor shle valard five on five Jesus Christ like how many times we have to talk about this like they’re they are really bad like when they’re not you know when they’re not the ones in the offensive zone when it’s the other way other way around like they can’t get the puck back like it’s a shooting gallery for the other team um you know that’s kind of a you know that’s you know a bit of a problem when you have three you know three highly skilled offensive players that are not known for their defense game at all um play together on one line um you know that that kind of thing happens you know they’ve this line has um consistently been outscored um five on five you know throughout their tenure together um and I don’t think it’s I don’t know I don’t imple as putting eers um eers and Connor flipping them because you know a defensive player um so yeah it’s it’s a little bit of a a frustrating uh thing because like you know Connor and shle valard you know they’ll have a couple good shifts in a game where they’re the ones getting you know chances but you know when it’s the other way you know it’s Capri off out on the other on the other uh when they’re on the ice um you know feeding the puck the Baldi for many chances Eric s is getting in that punch and um you know if Connor hellu didn’t stand on his head tonight um you know the Jets could have got run out of that building in the first period and and second period and you know that Connor shley bardy line was you know part partially the blame for some of um you know some of those falters um I thought so at the same time I don’t know exactly what uh you know what the Jets do like do you put you know a defensively responsible player you know on that on you know the first couple lines like U like I’ll say that second line ofer’s Peretti um and the mnov at least the mnov you know defensively responsible plays a two-way game um you know the third line uh you kind of have three two-way players Lowry Appleton neita Rider um you knowes does nino ever play up there on a you know one of the higher lines just to you know give some defense to the line because you’re not always scoring um you know I don’t again I don’t know if that’s the answer because we have such a good third line and we just kind of take these take these Knights as they come um you know but it’s something I think you know the coaching staff um you know could experiment experiment with Tinker with even in practice and see about using it in the game um you know cuz right now like they’re not doing much five on five and it’s um you know it hurt the team tonight um so yeah I don’t want to harp too much on a on a winning night uh for the Jets um but yeah it’s just frustrating watching um you know Connor sh leev vality five on five lately um yeah let’s hit another ad read anybody in the chat tonight after a big win for the NHL his team um if you’re in the chat let me know be good to kind of Riff riff a little bit with somebody uh uh it’ll uh yeah anyways um what should we talk about Billy hola um made his Jets debut this season season um you know uh last game um Dylan Samberg uh went down uh with a broken foot he’s um you know slated to be out uh four to six weeks um it’s a it’s a it’s a loss no doubt um you know losing Samberg uh he’s taken you know certainly he’s taken some some very nice uh strides this season um you know we playing in a top four role for the first time consistently night in night out and excelling I would say um a lot of a lot of jets you know fans um you know call them kind of fan journalists um really kind of um you know maybe Chicken Little this one to death the samburg injury thinking this you know I heard so much this is a major loss for the team like this is you know you know samberg’s Irreplaceable um and I just I frankly I not that I don’t I don’t buy that it is a big loss but it’s not you know you know is um losing a Dylan Samberg or losing a Josh morsey or losing a Connor huk or losing a a mark shle you know Adam lot like there’s it’s not even close to like um you know if we are going to lose a decent player to injury you know for a while um I think the Jets can do just fine in samberg’s absence um you know his defensive game has been great he’s been blocking a lot of shots um you know but I think we have some guys that can kind of step into a role um and kind of hold down the fort until he gets back and um you know not have the Jets drop too much uh down in the standings um you know one of those players um is going to be vly hola who made his um you know Jets debut tonight played his first game of the season um obviously um you know Billy hola and Dylan Samberg cannot be any different uh for hockey players uh Dylan samberg’s a big body um you know block shots hits um you know while Billy hanoa was a you know more of a small skilled defenseman who can score who can move the puck who can make a great first pass you know out of their Zone um and then you have you know the likes of uh you know Hayden flurry and Logan Stanley are also going to probably play um you know playing while samberg’s injured as well um and then when Samberg comes back um there’s going to be some uh decisions to make on you know waiver wise um you know Dylan cogin is going to be the first one to go um that’ll be when Mogan St fin comes back um you’re going to see uh Dylan cogin go on waivers I don’t suspect anybody will claim him and he’ll go right to the manova Moose um and then once uh Samberg is back you know bearing any other uh injuries uh to the Jets deccor um you’re going to see uh Hayden flurry as well likely go on waivers I assume the Jets are going to keep Logan Stanley up um not that I necessarily want to see that but I think Hayden Floyd will go on waivers there’ll be a chance that he gets claim but you know another big I also see him getting sent down with the Moose at the end of the day if uh that’s the case um so yeah bil hola tonight um you know I have to say like I watch you know I watched the whole game and I wasn’t really I you know I was watching the game I wasn’t specifically watching Billy hanol the shifts um you know ISO camming him throughout the game um and I will say like I didn’t uh I didn’t notice him too much out there which uh honestly is a is a good thing um you know when you’re noticing um you know the jet steaman um you know during the it’s usually because like they’re you know making a you know making a mistake like they’re making they’re playing bad um so in that sense you know I thought that um you know villy had a good quiet game tonight um he also drew that you You’ also say he had a great game because he drew the penalty um um you know that led to the you know the Jets uh the Jets um going up 3-1 in the game you know the Jets scored a power play goal off of a heinola getting taken down and drawing a penalty um so uh yeah I think I’m not I haven’t heard Scott Arne’s um postgame comments yet but I assume they’re going to be all positive um I think you know I think it’s not this isn’t going to be a case of um you know is hola coming out of the lineup now um you know is are we giving him another game it’s like yes like Billy’s just he’s just in the lineup now like he’s just a part of the Jets Decor he’s sliding in nicely um he’s going to get a Runway of games and we’re going to see what we have in this you know young Finnish uh defenseman um you know we haven’t had this yet so it’s going to be nice to see what we have um he still only played three games this season he’s still coming you know slowly kind of getting his um you know wheels back uh and he’s being thrown into the fire here in the National Hockey League so it’s it’s a little it’s fun a little nerve-wracking um and I’m all here for it um I’m excited to see Billy again next game against La um I’m excited to you know hopefully you know when he gets his first point his first goal this season it’s going to be nice uh I know uh V’s got a lot of friends um in the dressing room he’s a very popular player amongst his teammates I think a lot of them are just very um you know just very happy that he’s in the lineup finally he’s had so many not so many but he’s had you know a couple of bad injuries the last two years that have kind of stunted him from playing the national Hockey League uh he certainly paid his dues with the manto Moose um you know when he could have been playing in the National Hockey League for the Jets he never asked for a trade um which he certainly had every right to maybe at some points when he you know felt like he was maybe being mistreated a little bit mishandled and you know was more NHL ready um you know while still having to marinate in the AHL um you know through it all villy was a trooper you know he’s gone through his injuries he’s paid his dues now he’s here in the NHL and he’s going to hopefully make you know the winning Peg Jets deco better you know for the rest of the season um and fingers crossed he can do that um he’s definitely he’s definitely ready so let’s see what Vil’s got good game tonight um for hola and let’s see what he can do it against La so let’s go to the next third period there we’ll hit another ad read for game on Winnipeg which I’m getting not getting tired of doing game on ad reads but I’m just a little annoyed that we don’t have game on Winnipeg yet um so game over um you know what you’re listening to now has you covered after the game uh but in order to get ready to watch the Jets you got to get your game on too um so game on form uh which you can find at the game over network.com Pages Winnipeg um as I said we don’t have game on Winnipeg yet so don’t bother looking but um we have game on for every other NHL City I believe um for game over network uh and it’s great I like to check it out uh you know daily just see what some of the other markets are up to um you know it’s just a good good good way to you know get the kind of the fix um you know on your team so hopefully we get that you know sorted out here in Winnipeg soon and we’ll get you some more content um but in the meantime you got to listen to you know me uh and brandan lear’s uh Jets postgame shows um yeah anybody in the chat we got three people watching if you’re here please say hello uh and I love talking to I love talking to a wall um uh for the third period um let’s talk a little bit about um Cole Peretti um who I and a lot of um jets fans and you got to think the Jets management and the coaching staff are getting um you know increasingly more frustrated with um you know Peretti what exactly do we have in this like what exactly is this player um what can this player become what’s his potential what’s kind of going on cuz um he don’t got it you know I think I think um I think there’s a lot of Hope in Peretti like him becoming like a you know a solid you know top six player for the Jets he’s been given you know lots of opportunity uh so far this year um his he just doesn’t have it at all I I kind of feel like um you know and it he does have points like he’s got um you know 15 points um in 22 games this year um you know just four of them are goals um so points wise it’s not like he’s having a a terrible uh season but he’s just he’s just he’s a very um you know complimentary player he’s very passive he’s not a line driver um you know like a Nick eers is like a you know neita ryer is um he’s uh just very he’s not a physical player he’s not a very fast player um he’s not he’s he if he wasn’t you know a 10th overall draft pick I don’t think we’ he’d be playing in the top six for the Jets right now um you know he’s he had that kind of contract hold out a little bit um that it wasn’t like you know what I don’t know if the Jets you know necessarily want to pay this play player um you know long term at this point um I thought I think there was a lot of people um I think the team the Jets team you know I think uh when they drafted col Peretti I think they initially wanted him to become you know a centerman um you know for the Jets and quite frankly I don’t think that’s ever going to happen I you know I don’t think C peret is ever going to be a a center for the Jets I don’t think he has the the chops the skill the the quickness um I think he’s going to be glued to the wing um you know for his entire tenure here um but I I don’t know I also think the Jets the Jets aren’t you know obviously they’re not giving up on this player um I’m just uh just concerned about you know his potential what kind of player he’s going to become um you know he’s a player that I haven’t touched uh fantasy hockey wise I’ve never had him on my team I’ve never thought about trying to get him cuz um you know I just I kind of know what he brings to the table it’s a lot of you know some points um with empty calories not many shots hits or blocks um and he’s also a very injury prone um and he’s also not like I said he’s not a physical player you know this is a player that you know for being a Jets top six player last season he was scratched to come gain one of the playoffs because he he doesn’t play he can’t play a he hasn’t been able to play a playoff hockey that kind of level of um you know physical brand of hockey that the playoffs bring um he wasn’t he was the the coaches and the management knew that he’s wasn’t there yet and he certainly has not taking any steps um you know this summer and this season to show that he’s you know ready for that uh um style of hockey um I wonder if it’s you know time to call up um you know Brad Lambert or Nikita chiov and you know slot at least obviously the goal is for Brad Lambert to come in uh and be the second line Center at some point you know not this season but you know or this season but um at some point Brad Lambert is going to be a top six player for the Jets very soon um you know and not so and and Cher COV I see more as a third line um player um but you know long term I see Braden joerger coming in and being that second line Center as well possibly maybe moving Lambert to the wing or vice versa um you know so you have Jer and Lambert coming in you know Lambert should be in by at least by next season at the latest Jagger is going to be here within 3 years so two players that are um that look like you know they look like they’re going to be better hockey players than col Peretti um so col Peretti is going to get some rope here he’s going to get quite the leash I think for you know most of this regular season um let’s see what he is uh let’s see what he is cuz right now it’s not been um has not been too uh um fun to watch I’m worried usually when he’s on the ice most of the time he doesn’t bring anything to the table except you know some decent hands um and can pass the puck um I think there’s a lot of things that he can be working on um to help make him a better NHL player um I’m sure he’s going to get a lot of time uh to figure it out maybe he’s a late bloomer um but I’ve I have not loved col Peretti’s game I’ve said that I don’t I don’t want to hate on him like I want to like him um but you know there’s not um there has not been a lot to love about Cole Peretti this season so yeah um let’s do another ad ra before we get over to overtime I’ll throw the merch up on the screen actually too so you know I know there’s a bunch they’ll be playing on the road against the Los Angeles Kings at 9:00 Central um as they continue this long road trip um I believe they’re flying um tonight to LA a day off tomorrow maybe a little practice um then they’ll have morning skate Wednesday and they’ll do battle with the Kings um you know kind of uh the Jets are kind of on a very tough very tough schedule I I’m kind of waiting to see when the schedule gets a little easier you know aside from the Pittsburgh game um you know the Jets have had kind of a murderer row of hockey teams as of late and I’m going to include Nashville and there because we saw you know what should be a very good Nashville team um you know obviously they’re not doing good in the but they played they played very good against uh very good against the Jets um you know I think a lot of pants were you know concerned about this Winnipeg Jets schedule in uh you know November and thought you know this is where they would falter a bit uh and here we are eight 18 and four uh 18 and four just incredible NHL’s best team by a mile you know by about you know four or six points um you know the next closest team to us is the Devils they’re 15 s and two they’ve lost lost nine times they’re only four points back but they’ve played two extra games so um it’s been very impressive what the Jets have done um you know we’re going to play LA on Wednesday night that’s going to be a tough game um La has been um you know one of the top teams in the Pacific Division this year um they’re in a top three playoff spot um they’re very deep uh so it’s going to be another good test um and yeah I will see you all after that game it’s going to be a late night um 9:00 starts so I should be here around 11:45 midnight um 18 and 4 Jets just knocked off the second best team in the league so far this year Minnesota 41 thank you Connor huk you know that’s why you’re the vzna trophy winner year in year out you’re the best goalie in the world and win a pig Jets and the Jets fans are very lucky to have you so when you go to sleep tonight you know pray to Connor huk uh you know cuz I think that’s that’s what the Jets management does uh all right have a good night
