hello everybody Welcome to the United stands I’m not goldbridge it’s ran aram’s first game it’s Man United against dip switch and it’s so special I’ve got my Christmas jumper on and we’re in the Manchester United against dip switch and I tell you what I was getting a little bit worried a few minutes ago when Southampton were beating Liverpool I thought [ __ ] what does that mean ipswitch could beat man united of course they could but I’m feeling a lot more confident now the team news comes out and uh Manchester United are ready to go um look there’s some shocks in relation to the team news there’s no doubt about that I think um I I actually think the biggest shock is Christian Erikson um I don’t think it’s uh I don’t think it’s rashford I expected rashford to play up front I think a lot of people expected that um um a you let me know in the chat let me know in the chat it’s your it’s your it’s your chat as much as it’s mine we’re very excited about this game today A lot of people are going to be watching I said that when this team came out I was not going to overreact and I won’t overreact um look on the bench massia Shaw Mayu mounts Ugarte Anthony holand xery there are players on that bench who are in my starting lineup and there are team there are players who are in the starting lineup who are not in my starting lineup but I’m not Ruben amim nobody’s Ruben amim I’m I’m I’m I’m Mark goldbridge and uh I don’t pick the team so I’m interested to see how it how it’s going to pan out but I think that bottom line is there’s a new manager in town and honestly the one the one that the one the biggest one for me I mean look let’s go through the United side you’ve got an n in goal um Evans delit and I presume mazwi as the three Ahmad and delo the wide um casmiro and Erikson and then Bruno Gano behind rashford um I feel that agarte and Rasmus are two players would I would have had straight in the team and maybe they will get in the team in the coming weeks but what look first of all let’s just address rashford right um I think that if you didn’t think Marcus rashford wasn’t a part of this project then you’re you’re naive like I don’t know what people think’s going to happen with a guy that is the project player of this football club um every new manager that we’ve had has had to get the best out of rashford and that was never going to change with amarim it would have been part of his interview he’s on 300 Grand minimum a week um he is on a massive contract the same as Bruno Fernandez these players are huge when it comes to Manchester United and he was always going to start that that story was never happening he was never not going to be on the bench uh he was never going to be on the bench and he was never not going to be part of amar’s first team plans now I agree with everybody saying well I don’t want him in the team I don’t think he deserves to be in the team but I I I didn’t even bother having that conversation because it’s just it’s just stress I I I wouldn’t have picked him today honestly I wouldn’t have done I would have gone with Rasmus up front and stuck with gacho and Bruno in behind but hopefully he’ll score hopefully I’ll have that bounce again um I don’t think he’s a striker but I don’t know what Amin Ball’s going to look like so that’s that have you say on that the one that’s really shocked me is Erikson in in the team because I I thought it would be Mayu and casmiro I thought it’d be agarte and Mayu or Kazmir and agarte I never thought Christian Erikson would be starting um because there’s no future in it he’s he’s just not a player that we would have thought would be part of am’s team but as I said last night whatever team he picks today doesn’t mean it’s going to be his team that he picks against Liverpool or Arsenal or Man City in a few weeks time so and we have got Liverpool just after Christmas which is why I them um the most important thing today is to get the win um and there are weaknesses in that United side I mean I don’t I don’t call Johnny Evans a weakness but we haven’t got yoro we haven’t got Maguire we haven’t got Martinez so it’s a new system and I think that I’m very excited to see I I will not be derailed today by negativity um you’ve got every right to have your opinion this is a democracy get your opinions in but I won’t be derailed today by negativity because I think that we’ve got um we’ve just got to get behind the manager uh and and the team definitely behind the team I know some people won’t agree with that but you got to get behind the manager and that’s what we’re here to do so I’m I’m very very excited about that um aarte traveled to South America and played every single minute must be why he’s not starting so did gacho and gacho starting I sort of agreed with you on that cherry but yeah let’s go Mark amam era begins says Josh G well I’m expecting big numbers today and I’m expecting big reactions um Liverpool have just beaten uh your super chats that are coming in as well Erikson’s our most technical player says K look you’re not going to draw me in um I have my opinions on all of these players whether it’s Marcus rashford Bruno Fernandez Christian Erikson casemiro Johnny Evans um I think there’s a mixture of those players that I would say are not for the future but I would also say that um for the now it’s about getting the it’s about getting the win isn’t it that’s what it’s all about so um um you know it’s it’s it’s exciting it is exciting and uh I’m going to be monitoring this game um very much so uh looking at um how we play and you know how the system works um the Premier League is so competitive we’ve sort of seen that today haven’t we that Manchester United may not get an easy ride against dip switch I mean I’m going 5- nil um I’m going 5- nil United why not you know if I get it right I look amazing but um I think that when you look at um that Liverpool game just now and you look at wolves winning at Fulham um Liverpool only just beating Southampton Spurs beating Man City 4-0 it’s very obvious to me that this league is very very unpredictable um I’m stressed about today’s game we got to win this says Aria and shaik says hey Mark keep the great workup do you think this system will only work if everyone has pace which Erikson lacks um I’m loving this lineup a 3-1 win is definitely in the works is unruly well look look Le let’s analyze the team because you’ve got um you’ve got Marcus rashford up front um you’ve got Christian Erikson in the holding Midfield position with casemiro you’ve got Johnny Evans in the back three um you’ve got Bruno and gacho behind rashford um I think that there is a lack of mobility in the midfield if I’m being completely honest with Kazmir and Erikson but will that matter when you’ve got three center backs um it’s going to be really interesting how it works out I think to get the best out of rashford you can’t can’t be leaving him fighting for physical battles you can’t leave him um upfront working uh on those scenarios we’ve got to look to transition quickly I’m really interested to see what Bruno is like looking after the ball because if I see Hollywood balls the one of the things that I would um I’ve written down that I really want to monitor is how we how hard we work I expect that and how well we work on the ball um because I think that when I look at when you look at Bruno’s relationship with rashford over the last few years is it’s almost robotic to go ping over the top I’m Tom Brady you know and go for that 40 yard pass and he has got rashford playing up front in front of him and is he going to be able to slow the game down and keep possession or is he going to go I’m Tom Brady and and start hitting that ball over the top and and as many of you have said does rashford um have the pace for that anymore as well so I think it’s going to be uh very very interesting uh how it’s going to play out by the way um just a little bit of my eyeline my TV screen is not dead ahead it’s over here so I’m sort of like looking there for the match just so you know that I’m not looking at something going on off screen that’s where my TV is over there um Mark do you think Erikson is there for ball retention might not be temporary says Andre look I’ve said this before um rub says this is an expected lineup for you no but I also said in the preview if I got eight players out of 10 I’d be over the moon um I genuinely didn’t think I would so um I’ll be very very happy if I you know with with what I’ve got um and I haven’t got that many people um so I think that the one thing I would say about these players today is that the ball is in their court it’s it’s up to them they they’re in possession uh Kobe Mayu Manuel agarte Leandra Martinez Lenny yoro Mason Mount Luke Shaw Rasmus holand Joshua xery Anthony all these players have got to wait for their chance and if the players who start do well then you’ve got a lot more work to do but do you think all 11 players are going to play well we haven’t seen when was the last time we saw a man united performance where everybody played well now probably going to see it today because we’ve got a new manager and they’re all turn up but it’s not normal to see even seven or eight players play well so look the people on the bench are going to have to wait for their chance aren’t they um Steve Woodley says I’m excited for the future here we go I’m nervous and excited about the match I’m going for a 3-1 win for United and Cooper has been sacked uh Martin next why have they sacked Steve Cooper by the way I mean Leicester did they not sack a manager before I I don’t remember Steve Steve Cooper when did he get the job I don’t know um is it a 343 well a lot of people going up lot of people going at each other in the chat that it’s not even a 343 it’s a 4321 um I don’t know I don’t know does anybody in the chat know what the actual um sort of rumor is around who’s playing Wing back um I mean effectively it could be Johnny Evans and theit at Center back with mazra and deow at fullback and gacho and ammad on the wing um and Bruno in behind rashford but I would presume it’s a 343 because it would go against everything that he said if he doesn’t I think it will be Johnny Evans delitz mazra as the center backs M ammad and Delow as the as the wiers wide players um and rashford up up top with gono Central behind him with Bruno and look we haven’t spoken about gono he’s a player that’s been quite selfish with the ball as well as Bruno and rashford and everybody so that discipline there are people knocking on that door for that position I’m glad that he’s put a Winger on the wide though because I think if he didn’t put a Winger out wide you’ve got Ahmad gacho ciry Mount Bruno um potentially rashford as well all going for two spots so I’m quite happy with that um hi Mark I’m trying to stay positive today but how can Eric and start over GTE says Nick look let’s not bring I’m I’m going to Champion this today let’s not bring any negative ity towards amarim I know a lot of people aren’t happy that rashford’s starting I know a lot of people aren’t happy that Erikson’s starting I know I get it because there are reasons for that some valid some not but we cannot bring previous managers mistakes and previous players um bad performances into what is always going to be a clean slate and I’ve tried I’ve been trying to tell you all this week like I didn’t expect Erikson to start I think that’s a real shocker but in relation to rashford I’m not shocked I’m not shocked by that I think Marcus rashford starting was always going to happen like I I don’t think people understand the determination that exists within that football club to make him a success now do you think he’s good enough to be a success we’ll have to wait and see hopefully he can be but the Erikson one to me is interesting uh Isaac says can you shout out my M and Dad Andrew and cherl please they love your videos and watch you every time United play Shout out to Cheryl and Andrew um are you wife and kid excited for the game today Mark says Daniel Bron yeah the dog that you like not playing and there’s a player that you like playing will realistically what I would say on that is is that if they if you don’t like them and they keep their position for the next six months it’s because theyve played well so maybe change your mind and like them um and if you don’t like them and they play badly they’ll lose their position anyway so have a little bit of patience front for me was always a make do um if you wanted a bit of pace up top his link up play his strength his physic Al ity his pressing I think lacking are lacking now if amarim can make that change then who are we to criticize it but um I think with Rasmus he’s got the raw credentials to be a better Striker than rashford but look what about xery um rashford’s in possession of the shirt give him a to Newcastle or we will go to anfield or we will’ll go to the Emirates or we’ll go somewhere look we might even go to molanu have we been to molanu yet and get beat so we are going to get beat at some lowest points we’ve ever had in the Premier League um I think that you look at what’s been left behind gacho Mayu Rasmus Yaro there’s some really good young players there um there are some good signings like delit mazra agarte xery so and then you’ve got some established players like rashford Bruno Luke Shaw Harry MaGuire and Arna so I I think that it’s not the worst job in the world that ten hog did I think we all know we needed a change but um yeah I think that we’ve got to move on it’s a good bench for United Mark says Edward yes um just a reminder of the bench by the way we did read it out a few minutes ago but uh Manchester United’s bench today includes binda massia Shaw Mayu Mount agarte Anthony Rasmus and xery the interesting thing about the bench by the way is that no Yaro uh and I think we would have thought Yaro would have been on the bench over a massia or a Shaw Luke Shaw being on the bench is quite a surprise um they’ve kept man united have sort of protected Luke Shaw ever since the summer they’ve not given much detail out at all so the fact that he’s on the bench today is quite interesting um Nick P says if we take anything from today I just want to see more discipline I don’t care who’s playing patience is key this is so exciting yes I think we’re all going to be analyzing this game today looking at the way we play looking at the way we pass the ball looking at um how we um adopt early on the style of this new manager um done that one thank you very much uh brother get rashford out of your mouth says Samad mate you know what just because I that why would you be surprised by a performance like that I did expect something a little bit better because it’s a first game under amarim and we’ve had all the interviews and we’ve had all the I’ll back players and we’ve seen all the smiling in training and I think the worrying thing about that half is you just come back to the same old thing they’re not not trying they’re just not good enough some of them just aren’t good footballers when you put them up against some of the quality players that you have and the quality teams you have in the Premier League um the reason it’s gone wrong for us is that um we scored a goal catching them on the Hop uh brilliant play by ammad good play by rashford to get across the goalkeeper and it’s a tapping um but be beyond that our stylistically our stylistically uh identity has been lacking because we haven’t been IPS which have been very good IPS which have hunted the ball down we’ve had the ball at the back three quite a lot but we haven’t been able to progress up the football pitch now look whatever you think about Marcus rashford up front and some of you have said you’d sub him honestly I don’t think you’d see a hell of a lot different from xery or Rasmus because it would still be a graveyard shift um because we’ve not able to play the ball through from the back to the front now that’s to do with Erikson and casemiro as well it’s to do with the wide players but we’ve been very bad at getting the ball up to our attacking players we’ve got two Central attacking players gacho’s been in the game more than Bruno Bruno has been very quiet rashford’s been very very quiet um it’s been a very equal game and you can’t argue with 1-1 you’ve got to look at why it’s been an equal game it look the Premier League is very competitive ipswitch beat Spurs last two weeks ago and then Spurs just beat Man City for so we mustn’t disrespect who the opposition are at Portman road but I would have expected a little bit more from man united because we’ve got a new manager with a new identity and his identity is very much about intensity and looking after the ball and we’ve not been intense enough and we’ve not looked after the ball enough and whilst he said he’s going to show us an idea as I said an idea could be this is my idea for a car look at how quick it goes around the track or this is my idea for a car look how good it looks on piece of paper I’ve drawn out with crayons um at the moment it’s I’ve seen an IDE but it’s it’s very much in its um uh infancy it’s it’s uh it’s basically the formation that’s all we’ve really seen um I don’t think we’ve seen a United performance any better look Crystal Palace away was better than that the first half against Crystal Palace under ten hog was way better than that different formation created loads of chances so if you want to play that game obviously Crystal Palace away was better than what we’ve just seen against dip switch but that’s not I mean it’s a silly thing to in the sense because we’ve got a new manager and a new system but what my point is this is not on the manager this is on the players that they just don’t it’s going to take them a long time and some of them won’t be good enough um I look at the goal there’s an element of Good Fortune it’s a good shot it flicks into the top corner from Hutchinson but casmiro is too slow to close him down but are we going to talk about the fact that iwit should have equalized just before that I mean that’s a goal it’s an amazing sa save by Anana but I can’t look at that and go we should have conceded that’s not something to be proud of an Anna pulls off a worldy but it should be a goal anyway so I think a draw is we can’t complain about being one-1 at Hal time with I switch they deserve to be level with us and um we haven’t done enough to win this game um we haven’t and we don’t actually look that good so the question is what what changes would you make now I know a lot of people spoke about taking rashford off I’ll deal with that one very quickly because yeah you could put Rasmus up front and I I’ll say this openly Marcus rashford doesn’t look very quick he doesn’t look he doesn’t press that well his link up play is not very good and he’s not physical enough and in the long term I think you’re going to have to use Rasmus or xery but in this in this game it’s not like he’s missing chances it’s not like he’s we getting the ball to him that much so you could make that change but it wouldn’t be a change I’d be making until 60 70 minutes for me the priority is to change the defense and the Midfield um if Luke Shaw is on the bench then I would be looking to go with Luke Shaw for Johnny Evans because Luke Shaw can play left-sided Center back and he’s good at passing out from the back and I think that would be very very advisable so I’d take Johnny Evans off who’s on a yellow card for a little bit more mo mobility from Luke Shaw and then in the Midfield I actually would make the double change I’d go agarte and Mayu for casemiro and Ericson because if you if if you do it as a halfway house if you look at it and go I’m only going to make one sub change the Midfield change the engine room because casemiro ain’t having a game great game either Erikson’s not having a great game either in the sense that they’ve been all right on the ball but their intensity is not there i’ just go aarte and Mayu in the Midfield change that Midfield and then see what happens because we’ve got to change the momentum of the game the way this is going ipswitch will win the best we’ll get out of this is probably a draw so you’ve got to change the momentum of the game and I I that’s what I would do um so for me it’s it’s Luke Shaw for Evans and it’s agarte and Mayu for Erikson and casemiro and then later in the game I’d be looking at maybe mounts coming on for a Bruno or a gono and and and maybe Rasmus for a rashford but uh that’s certainly what I would do amim looked fuming walking off need to plug gaps in the Midfield and get attacking players on the ball but but look I will say this I will say this I would rather the bumps in the road happen sooner rather than later I think so many times we follow the same path way of new manager comes in everybody looks amazing and then gradually they get bad and the manager gets sacked I would amarim is in charge of man united because we’ve just sacked a manager I’d like to see the reality of why ten hog was sacked earlier rather than later because amim is going to get the patience like no one’s going to be
