three points it goes to Enzo mesa’s boys that is Chelsea just as a reminder not lesser anymore okay Frank what did you make of it well it would have been so unfair to see uh leester coming back at the end because uh I mean I was very surprised and um happily surprised by uh by how Chelsea handled the game uh most of the time except maybe the the the the last five minutes I would say or the first half where m year and I think ndd had two big chances but otherwise Chelsea dealt the game all 90 minutes long and uh and they were they show so much maturity and um and happiness playing their football I was really happy with uh Jo fix the first half Nicholas Jackson did it did very well scoring a goal almost scoring a second one Palmer I was talking about Martino the guard those players have something special and and Palmer also every time oh looks as though we’ve lost rank who would like to pick up from what he was saying who who doesn’t want to see a Frozen Frank and still nobody wants to see Frozen Frank ah I’m back I’m back Craig I know you’re not happy I’m back so everybody was put everybody was put on bad Shield at a great game as well I think that was uh something to mention with cville at the back and and again you know yes Leicester city leester city is not the biggest team in the world but Chelsea is proving games after game that they are getting better and better they could have scored more goals I mean the um even mad I think it sometime he does too much but what he did today was very interesting as well and he could have scored he should have scored maybe one goal that uh that he missed when that he missed but overall nothing to say Chelsea spoton well done Mr maresa and uh keep on going like that because that’s very enjoyable to see those very young players getting along together it makes some nice little tweaks the Chelsea manager you know one day it’s Netto as a wide man and and mad then he plays Felix but he doesn’t really play him out on the left and he he sort of Felix tucked inside a lot alongside Palmer in the first half to make two number 10 and that allowed karella to bomb down the left hand side and and so he does make these subtle changes uh to starting lineups and sometimes within games you have got to give him an awful lot of credit he has done he has done so much more with this squad of players than you know it was early for grem Porter but it certainly wasn’t for marito portino and he has done so much more in terms of making big decisions he goes in in his summer don’t want you don’t want you don’t want you this is who want to work with hey feathers were ruffled people were upset agents were apoplectic mesco I said I don’t care it’s my I’m in the firing line I have to take the heat so this is the this is the core players I want to work with the rest of years and they’re still there I mean there’s a Cavalry of them and there’s a whole you know there’s a a huge Squad but most of them are probably off training on their own and at the time you thought how’s that going to work going to be a lot of unhappy players but he’s got a core of players that he’s felt he can work with and get tune out of and thus far it has been a way better in terms of results in terms of performances and in terms of where they are in the league table than I think most of us and certainly myself ever thought possible it has been a terrific start to the season one one of those players hold that thought Sher because I’m going to come to you after what we hear next one of those players that he’s getting a tune out of is Nico Jackson when you take a look at his stats this season compared to last season and the minutes per goal this season it’s 137 compared to the 200 of last year this season it’s 12 games and seven goals in that time 14 across 35 in the last campaign so let’s hear from moresa speaking about Nico Jackson no for me is uh is is doing very well we said many times since we start I think he’s working hard on the ball and off the ball is making an effort to understanding the way we want to play sometimes we use him almost as a midfielder dropping sometimes we use him attacking behind like if you remember Brighton or even today so depends a little bit the game plan but uh we are very happy with the Nico in the way he’s playing on the ball but especially the way he’s playing off the ball the way he’s pressing and is in this moment we are very happy and we are sure that uh he’s going to improve and doing better game after game so I had to make you pause for a moment because in our way too early Premier League Awards you’re Revelation player was Nicholas Jack Jackson and and because what you’ve seen from him and while the the stats kind of paint the picture um I I don’t think it does fully when you think of of Nico Jackson of last season um some of his misses I I don’t think he contributed to to Chelsea anywhere near what what was needed and while there was a lot going on with Chelsea um that you could find fault with I think nio Jackson was probably the biggest of those faults then when you look at this season and credit to both moresa but I think in particular Nico Jackson for for the turnaround because to contrast his performances this season with last I’m not sure where to start when as as we saw today when Chelsea are on the Counterattack I I he he proved such an asset in in terms of his Pace in terms of his running in terms of his chasing lost causes as we saw with with the opening goal today when Chelsea were in comfortable position possession he holds the ball up so well I did not think I could put either of those on on Nico Jackson of last season so now it’s it’s about um a a a complete striker in in again in in how he’s running in behind and how he’s holding the ball up as compared to to to what you what you saw last season and while yes it’s a far more balanced or far more settled uh Chelsea team and again I think nicoo Jackson has a big role to play in that before we went to break I I or before we went to to Nico Jackson I I was going to say probably the biggest praise I can Heap on on moresa is to say that this game felt like Leicester Chelsea 5 years ago that if we somehow forget the disarray that Chelsea Football Club have have been in over the last four or five years this is exactly what you think Leicester Chelsea would be a team in total control never mind the finish a team very relaxed through out just getting a a very professional job done credit to moresa for how he’s been able to turn that around somehow and again um I I don’t think anybody kind of personifies that that turnaround certainly in terms of players more than niik Jackson it feels as though that noise that’s been around Chelsea as well Frank we’re not hearing it anymore they’re just getting on with their business under this manager Enzo maresa yeah he’s due to maresa but he’s also also due to the players I mean Shaka was comparing Nikos Jackson from last year and this season we have to talk about Kao i m that guy is the Masterpiece right now for 1990 minutes today and it was the case the week before and the week before the guy since the beginning of the Season he’s not the same guy he’s the guy who worth 100 million and that makes a huge differ we talked about rodri we talked about Martina in the middle of the park if you have somebody like kaido like you other Angulo kante before it makes a difference the guy is a game changer he’s always there he always get the control of the ball when he has the ball he never loses it is it was amazing and because of those players because of the Improvement of confidence but also on everything Fitness tactic techniques of those players it makes a different team and uh that’s why and be it’s because of Marisa and but because of player and that’s why Chelsea is better the understanding is better uh the way they want to work together is better the commitment is better I mean the technique is better Nico Jackson when he make the crosses with the left foot to Mad has to be has to be a goal but I would I’m sure next season same action the cross would have been behind the net that would have been like that that was that was Chelsea last year this Chelsea is a much better team because of the Improvement of everything coach players I think one of the differences for me is is with the Kaio Jackson and players that have improved is we have we had already seen Kao play in the Premier League with a lot of quality so it was a surprise to see him struggle like he did for a short period and maybe a crisis of conference he’s still a young man but he’ shown him Brighton that the Premier League was was was nothing for him he could handle it easily Nico Jackson was there was a lot of questions there still about whether this step from La Liga from vial to the Big Bright Lights of London and Chelsea could he handle it and I think thus far this season there’s no question he’s shown he’s a much better player the goals you know I never think he’s going to be a a prolific goal scorer but he’s certainly doing better but what surprised me and and maresa touched on it is the games that I’ve seen where he’s dropped into the middle of the park and they’ve had runners go beyond them because he’s dragged Defenders with them his link up play when he’s done that I’m thinking West Ham away when they obliterated them I’m thinking Wolves Away games where he’s dropped in they’ve played the ball into his feet quickly he’s either laid it off or he spun it around the corner and Chelsea on the break I didn’t think he had that in his game I didn’t think he had that facet in his locker where he could link up the play as well as running behind so listen I don’t want to go over the top it’s very ill in the season but you have to give credit when players have stepped up to the plate and improved uh and he’s one of them I do agree with cido he has been quality but I think we always knew that was in there I think with nich Jackson uh until recently we’ve all sat and went is is he going to be able to help this side and I think at the moment the answer is a clear yes [Music]
