Los Angeles no matter to the Rams the Raiders the charger since 1977 but this LA Express thank you Reuben Frank this was devastating are there any questions about the Philadelphia Eagles as presently constituted on both sides of the ball they are devastating offensively certainly the crown jewel is saquan Barkley and if he’s not excuse me for saying but if he’s not the leader in the clubhouse for MVP of this league I don’t know who is the guy turning out the yards whether it’s rushing whether it’s receiving by the way Jake Elliott found his game again no worries not at all for number four but when you look at saquan 255 rushing yards a team record it is ninth most in NFL history add on another 47 receiving yards the man has 302 yards from scrimmage tonight 302 pretty pretty special just when you think he can’t do do more than he’s been doing I mean it’s it he had two 70 yard touchdown runs in the second half of a football game there’s great running backs that don’t do that in their entire career this guy is so next level right now he’s so clutch he’s so consistent and watch out in the second half because you cannot stop him y the Rams had 290 total yards saquin himself 302 personally more yards than the entire Rams offense yeah and I think we uh Barrett your thoughts on this I just think that they’re a complete team you know defensively you know I mean I was going to talk about saquan but I mean I I want to talk more about the defense the defense showed out and showed up they went out there and controlled this game they shut down two of the best receivers in the league and you know and and and and I mean I don’t know how else to say that this is a complete team special teams um offense defense I mean I think they’re the best team in the league right now everybody’s saying the Lions but I think look I’m looking at the Eagles I’m thinking they’re right there with and here comes the most popular man on this team of course I’m speaking of Don Sandro no big big big serani way to be what he is doing with this team Jordan Davis Jaylen Carter were amazing but what what serani Williams taking advantage of the double teams on Jaylen Carter they’re all helping each other AJ Brown tonight 109 yards and a touchdown that’s John Doros right there mm DOR bring a little magic a lot of magic yeah to the uh to the game they’re putting teams away in a way that great teams do I mean they’re such a powerful second half team know games are close in the first half and then they just destroy you in the second half it’s a heck of a formula r r what’s impressive is the physical domination it’s not gimmicks and gadgets and trick plays that are it is physical domination imposing your will on another team and totally dominating them this was an impressive impressive win this evening total win yeah definely a total win total win and when you look at this team now I’m looking forward to and let’s not put the cart before the horse because Jaws we we don’t look one game at a one game at a time but I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings which the Eagles have the same record I’m looking forward here’s when the dust cleared in the first half and Jaws we said it during during our our update our our update yeah we thought they were going to smoke him in the second half and that’s exactly what happened and Jaylen Herz I got to say uh not just that he played a heck of a game 15 to 22 for 179 with a touchdown 108 passer rating but I don’t like him getting hit the way he’s getting hit I’m sorry he’s too Val valuable to just keep running the ball and there was one play where instead of stepping out of bounds he took the hit I know you’re tough Jaylen but come on we welcome you to Eagles postgame you next week too You Look Marvelous but I’ll tell you who really looked marvelous the Philadelphia Eagles a 3720 Beatdown seven straight win over the Los Angeles Rams and they are onward and upward what a great game tonight and where’s the weakness on this team right right right in any phaseone where’s the area that if you’re planning to play if you’re playing the Eagles next week if you’re the Ravens you’re looking at film you’re like where do we attack where can we have an advantage where can we take advantage of this team and I I just don’t see one I don’t see a week they haven’t lost since the bye they haven’t lost lost a game since Cooper de jeene started playing which is crazy uh seven in a row and most of them have been close uh they’re destroying people and look we’ve seen some great teams in this city but they’re playing at such a high level especially on the road I mean they every road game is a double digit win I mean it’s crazy you just don’t see that so uh I’ll tell you what maybe there’s somebody out there that can beat them maybe it’s the bills maybe it’s the the the Lions they’re the only two teams I think are in their class the bills and the lions are close uh I love to see that game I’d love to see what it would take to beat this team cuz I just can’t picture it right now it’s the way they’re winning you know we hey Jaylen playing phenomenal football right now absolutely I I like when I talk about the quarterback playing like he’s playing the field General controlling the game tempo run when he has to throw you have to throw the ball 40 times to win a football game Jaylen can manage the game appropriately and he’s doing a heck of a job of that all the offensive weapons and wide receiver we’re going to talk about SE Guan for the next you know seven days the way he’s playing the offense is in place but don’t don’t forget this defense this defense is absolutely phenomenal it’s the youngest defense in the National Football League and playing at a level like they’re playing around against a very good quarterback a potential Hall of Fame quarterback in Matthew Stafford with excellent wide receivers they were shut down and they not it wasn’t Total Domination I will say domination limiting that offense to 290 yards those first two drives I mean they didn’t do anything till that last garbage Drive they didn’t do anything and that’s a Hallmark of Vick’s defenses they kind of you know they might take a couple lumps the first couple drives they figure it out he figures it out and they understand and look the crazy thing is this defense you guys are talking about there’s seven new starters from last year doesn’t look like two rookies like years they’re playing so well together for a new group that’s uh you just never see that this quickly five sacks what what and also you know let’s let’s shift over to the off side ball are we forgetting the fact that we miss Smitty being out there you know that was our biggest worry going into to this game that you know Smitty was not going to be on the field who was going to take his place it really didn’t make a difference you know this offense played they adjusted they found new people to go to they ran the ball consistently again his offensive line looks great again tight ends were in the mix I mean this team right now you know you you you take one weapon away they’ve got plenty of other weapons they can go to and I think bar what has happened after the byee the two and two start you know they reevaluate everything in the roster how we’re going to run the offense how we going to run the defense and right now it’s not a passing team no I mean the offense line is I mean they’re kicking butt they are just knocking people off the ball wearing people down they’re saying Uncle the end end of the third quarter we’ve had enough of you guys so it’s such a balanced offense now you don’t need the quarterback to throw 40 times and be great the offensive line is great wide receivers are great you’re not going to throw it 40 times although you know AJ had a great game today he’s not going to have many games when sendy comes back because jaylen’s going to move the ball around let me get to the Toyota electrifying moment really moments plural because there were two 70 yard runs 70 yard plus runs by saquan Barkley who total 255 rushing yards ninth most in NFL history most in Eagles history 302 yards from scrimmage ninth most in NFL history set a career high for rushing yards in a season already six games left with six games left week 12 he set this for goodness sakes and 1392 is the total and the most yards since what Jamal Charles in 2010 so it’s been a while that and this was a game that we talked about the matchups Shawn McVey against Vic fangio that one was done we won that one that we won that one certainly the the young cornerbacks of the Philadelphia Eagles against puka NCA and Cooper cup W won that one uh what else was there offensive line defens L jayen I don’t know which side of which team you’re talking about but jayen Carter got double team we talked about Milton Williams he was a guy who benefited from that Brandon Graham resurrected his rookie season or or his second or third season unbel okay second season unbelievable was was amazing 36y old guy play like that real quick only the seventh player I’m sorry the sixth player in history with two 70 yard touchdowns in the same game um Barry Sanders Frank Gore Maurice Jones Drew Lenny Moore the great Lenny Moore Hall Colts and Frenchie fuk only guys who’ve ever done it this is this is Elite status for saquan rare air rare air I know you know when get that ball to that fan and then all turn around like oh what did I just do so here somebody go give back give it back I guess the question is do the Eagles get the Giants anything for Christmas is that is that anything they want how stupid are the Giants All I Want For Christmas he’s like the best player I’ve ever seen in my life they’re like oh yeah you know we don’t want to match anymore get out of if you if you if you turn around if you get an offer just bring it back to us we’ll try to match it I bet they’ll try to match it now wouldn’t that’s that well that’s their problem now and he is our benefit our gift certainly can you say after 11 games that he’s the greatest running back in the history of the franchise does he need more of a body of work got caling we have to calm down about single season you have yeah I mean you have Steve Van buen you have Shady I apologize to Steve Van be Absolut you’re absolutely correct and I know you’re a big Shady fan Shady did it for for a lot of years not not at this level though I mean he was an all proo he led the league in rushing led the league in scrimmage yards I think he’s a Hall of Famer what saquon’s doing makes what Shady did just seemed like nothing right I’ve never seen a run I don’t if I’ve ever seen I mean to maybe that one year how often have you seen any Philadelphia Eagle play at this level no I had a pretty good one of my backs with wver Montgomery who is a phenomenal football player but not really not in the same class regie white what he did very special on defense I played with two great backs when I when I was there you know I had Ricky ws and Charlie Garner yeah Charlie had you know I mean Ricky had 1500 yards and Charlie had you know just about almost a thousand yards and even still you know you cannot I mean I’ve never seen anybody run like saquan barlar he’s outrunning angles it’s not just that he’s out you know he’s he’s found the Fountain of use he’s running faster than he did you know a year ago you know so I mean it’s got people blocking for yeah way somewhere to run as much as we know that you want to hear from from us we know you also want to hear from saquan Barkley ni serani jayen Herz Brandon Graham Cooper Dee Quin quinan Mitchell we’re gonna get you all of there I know it’s only 1149 but it’s a beautiful Sunday night you got to stay tuned meanwhile On The Run presented by Duncan because America runs on Duncan while the Eagles run on saquan Barkley in fact maybe Duncan’s going to get saquan and and saquan will run Duncan as well look at this first half 107 uh and then second this is on the season second half 116 this is carries rushing yards 472 and in the second half it balloons to 920 that’s telling right there that by the way just his second half yards just the 920 would be fourth most in the NFL right now just his second half if he just didn’t play in the first half he’ be one of the best running back backs in football 7.9 yard per carry two 70 yard touchdowns that help that average and by by the way he averaged really you round it up 10 yards per carry for the game 10 9.8 I’m going to round 10 yard round it off you’re it’s your show rushing no it’s your show baby and and and he just had the season of the day of his career and as we point out at the second half yards fourth most that that’s that’s incredible it really is incredible and we don’t know what next week or the week after we’ll bring but I can’t wait to see what this guy does you know there’s a stat the league keeps yards after contact there were times he didn’t even have contact he was untouched from the handoff to the end zone I can’t wait see that’s going to blow up yeah well you you know what as as he goes further on this season how they going to you know how they going to continue to use him he can catch passes as well he had 47 receiving yards nice to see him finally involved over the last three or four games in the passing offense because he wasn’t early on but you get him it’s another way to get him the ball in space and it’s what a weapon he slipped on the one but I mean I give Kell Moore so much credit for sticking with saquon Barkley because we’ve seen coaches around here who don’t do that oh my goodness they’ll get away from it if a guy you know doesn’t you know explode in the first couple coach Reed was like uhuh I got some I got some Westbrook knows but he sticks with it and I mean what do he have 22 carries today 24 carries I mean that he should have that 26 carries that every game he can handle it okay so here’s the deal going into tonight’s game saquan Barkley was ninth favorite for MVP the odds were 22 to one after tonight he is fourth so he’s he’s jumped five spots he’s behind Josh Allen Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff come on and he’s plus 750 on that well we only think we put the money in now Reuben Can you spot me it’s hard the last running back to win it was AP in 2012 before that it was like Marshall faul Sean Alexander uh the voters and I’m I’m a voter I would vote for saquon but most of the voters just automatically look at the quarterbacks it’s a shame yeah because he deserves it this year’s going to be different it’s going to be different way can you actually say that though look to do this on national TV right but what did CNBC do last year you know we saw Christian mcaf have you know similar highlights you know also but you know I mean more so passing and and running you know but it’s it’s it’s just a quarterback driven award but the the the game is changing the running game this season is becom much more predominant ball control less POS oh no I mean here the whole league is picking uping stats by saquon himself okay look at the Lions the lions run the ball also a lot of these teams are starting to convert you know because it’s hard to go out there and and and and play against teams that are you know so you know specified to the passing game that’s why you got smaller linebackers smaller defens line they want to get around the corner well we’re taking advantage of it by having big offensive line beat up on these smaller defensive line these smaller linebackers you know So eventually you know everything changes a little bit you know we are going to see next week the matchup of these MVP hopefuls Lamar Jackson for the Baltimore Ravens next week at Baltimore 425 kickoff and then saquan Barkley and and that will that will tell us something I think because these two guys as as excellent as they are are just as prideful and while they try to do it every single game when you’re matched up against another guy who’s got the inside track for MVP it’s going to be an awesome awesome thing here’s the other thing I got two guys two right two guys two guys on that um on that team Lamar Lamar too yeah uh I got it and Derk Henry got both so how about this let me throw this at you because there’s no doubt Eagles fans out there saying did you need to leave him in so long did he need to take the beating that he took in the last couple of plays including there’s no beating well no no no no I mean come on he is getting hit he’s a running back in the NFL so is Jaylen Herz for that I tell you what with that Rams offense with Stafford is capable of doing with those receivers I would leave him until that last touchdown no question about it it’s two- possession game yeah well I mean not not at the end it wasn’t but but uh that should have been a a yeah they were up after that yeah they were up 16 before that long run correct or four scores as you would say four scores if you include the two-point conversions but with that offense I’m leaving him in no question about it Jaws you too leav leave in we we had this discussion last week keep in the game Barrett I mean he’s built for it he’s built the last you know this is this is what he’s trained all off season for yeah you you got to keep him in yeah we got you going you have to ask the question because folks out there are probably asking the question it looked like they were going to win indeed they did and when you look at the score of 3720 and it was 3714 and what that would have meant with all those double digit wins and 20 plus Point wins right Ruben I mean the last touchdown ruined one of my favorite stats so I’m not real happy with uh I’m sorry M let me I’m surprised Barrett hasn’t gotten this yet he had a phenomenal day right phenomenal day the offensive line mauled people he just they crushed people I got one 700 lb on East Side 700 lb on East Side just keep crushing them that’s that’s what it was all about the never forget the big eers down it they make it all happen yeah cam Jurgens has had two really good games I thought he was struggling a little he had that wrist injury I think was hurting him uh he’s been a beast the whole interior of that of that o line was incredible beckon Beck’s playing so well right now guy never played guard before you don’t even hear his name you know when you don’t hear guys names that means you’re balling that’s offensive lineman it’s all guts you never get the glory all right here here’s the deal the locker room is just about to open hang on I think we got an interview coming in just a I believe I’m all excited Michael teasing me me too I know that’s the whole point and it’s late guyss too yes it is we got wait we have Brandon Graham 55 BG here you go uh got hit in my elbow toward my uh toward my uh tricep but man hey like I told the boys man we got the mission the mission still the mission you know um we pour everything we can into this game you know if I said I trust God I trust God so man I’m just enjoying myself I’m about to enjoy this little rehab and then I’m about to enjoy leading this team you know the rest of the year um soon as I can be back out there I’m going to be out there but uh man boy boy he man we was having fun out there and we still going to have fun but uh yeah I’m definitely uh as a player uh I’m out for the year have you thought about next year yet have you thought about next year yet whether you’ll come back and play man just trying to just trying to process everything right now I ain’t got that far but uh you know what I’m going keep my spirits up keep enjoying it man cuz got a special team right now and it’s time for some people to step on step on up you know but um I’m I’m I’m happy just where we at I’m happy as a team team and if anything if I was going to go out happy with the way you know I played today um and you know I couldn’t ask for nothing else man with this team that we got we just got to stay focused and and I’m going to make sure that as far as you know uh me as a leader I’m going to make sure uh my presence felt as far as that part so had a long conversation with Jaylen as I guess the news kind of came in what was he saying to you what message you know what we just uh we just said a prayer before we uh before I got off the field and you know what is just like hey at the end of the day you know um if I had to go out like this hey I’m I love the way you know I gave it everything on out there on the field and uh all I know is you know they a they ain’t done with me yet so I’m make sure I get out there and uh just be the best leader I could be like I always do keep bringing the energy and let people know how lucky they is that I am outting your ass off I mean much harder hard does it make because you I know I’m in I’m in such a good shape right now so it it it hurt it definitely hurt but like I say if I trust God got a plan for me man I’m just hey I’m content where I’m at I know that me the guys still need me as far as you know just making sure that I’m watching them telling them stuff you know little little stuff I see on the sideline and man I’m just I’m be the best leader I could be cuz I’m committed you know I’m I’m all the way all the way in and you know we got something special here man and we got to keep building and we ain’t done nothing yet you me you mentioned that you mentioned you were happy with the way you were playing today it seems like this was one of the better games for the season is that true and yeah I mean I got to say it was man cuz I was just on I was just feeling good you know ha it had to go like this but hey at the end of the day man I I don’t have no regrets man I really put it all put it all you know today like I do every week and you know we just going to uh we going to see where we go from here man but um I’m hoping we holding that trophy regardless uh in the end and like like I say I’m I’mma do my part as far as a captain you know and uh and you know the mission still the mission and I’m still going to be me still going to have fun still going to talk my stuff like I say people lucky I’m done but but but they better know somebody coming right behind me so you um I just it was a pass play the running back came and and Chi me right on like right here on my on my arm and I thought it was just like you know cuz I would been dealing with my tricep anyway just from like know just from pushing people you know you get a little tendonitis but this time it was different like you know he hit me and it was stung a little longer and then when they tried to examine me I knew someone right and um he told me and you know I just tried to process it out there and then end up leaving off know call my wife and you know just let her know the news and you know kids crying but it’s like look at the end of the day man we just it is what it is no sense of crying about it just got to know that I put everything into it it hurt but but I’m telling you like I’m going to be better from it what’s the motivation over 200 you play game tonight and sorry to hear about the injury of PR for you brother straight up but what’s the motivation man to get back to year 16 you’re going to have the guys this year but talk to us what’s the mental motivation to get back for your 16 back you know what I I don’t I don’t want to go out like this but if it’s pointing towards that hey we’ll see we’ll see uh I don’t know what the team going to be feeling at that time but I mean I know for me I don’t want to go like this you know I definitely want to be able to you know finish a whole season before I’m done but uh that ain’t in the cars I’m I’m I’m content where I’m at too you know so I’m I’m just not there yet uh I’m like let’s finish this and then let me see how rehab going and then you know we we we go from there but uh I know me and my teammates we can talk and I told them you know some of them like hey if I can make it happen I definitely want to make it happen but if not I’m cool too cuz uh I’m going to be around the building anyway um just even for next year if they whatever position they want to have me at but I just want to be able to you know just give them that that mental that mental toughness that they got to continue to have in this man cuz stuff going to happen and it’s how you deal with it and so uh I’m just I’m just dealing just dealing right now how we able to stay so how are we able to stay so positive right now you know what because it’s it’s always better days ahead and I can see it uh but right now man I get to spend some time with the fam at the end of the day I mean I always do but now it’s even more and so that’s always something that can help me get through uh them tough times cuz I mean all they want is just me and just want me to be present in the moment and so I’m I’m going be that and like I can’t tell people to be like a certain way and then when it’s my turn to be like that I got to be like that and so uh I tell guys all the time they go out man we praying for you we doing this but I’m doing this I’m taking my own advice and making sure I’m having the best attitude I can have I’m sure you know I’m G cry about it but it ain’t going to be too long and then I’m going move on to the all right how can I help my team uh from the sidelines and that’s the that’s the biggest thing I can do so on a late November Sunday night we have may may have watched the swans song game of Brandon Graham who was one of the Eagles greats in the history of this franchise preserved a Super Bowl victory in 2018 against the Patriots and what he has meant to this team is incalculable but you heard him say himself he ripped his tricep he is done for this season he does not know yet about next year and for the first time he seemed to waiver and I think at best waiver he said well if that’s what’s in store we’ll see but you know what uh I’m going to I’m going to sit back have more time with the family I’ll still be there cheering on the team and please know that someone’s coming up behind me but that would be this this guy wasn’t just hanging around malingering this guy was a valuable asset at 36 years of age at 15 years in drafted 13th overall pick in 2010 out of the 2010 out of the University of Michigan and and he was a focal point for his entire career Barrett of this team I mean it wasn’t like he was on a team just to be an inspirational leader he was out there because he was productive he was out there winning he probably would be leading the uh team in Sachs you know if he had more reps to go out there and be out there he’s been going in a limited time limited number of reps and still making an impact and his ability to go out there and really encourage guys to get going on the same level and you know I mean it’s it’s immeasurable what he brings to this team now he’s going to do it from another vantage point now but still at the end of the day he we and this this is tough we needed Brandon Graham we still need Brandon Graham you know we just let J Huff we just put him on um IR I mean Bryce Huff on on IR so I mean would Bryce not being there mean somebody else has to step up yeah and when we look back on this season even if they win the Super Bowl and there’s a parade when we recall the Rams game at the end of November that’s the game we say goodbye to BG that’s the game where he he tore his tricep now we don’t know if it’s the end of his career but you know you read body language and you read his tone it’s U you never know man never know it’s a it’s a devastating loss one of the best people
