way it could be a night right I’ve been to the gym 17 days in a row in the morning I’m not sleeping enough at night cuz I apparently since the dogs died I’ve just taken over remember I used to only get like 2 hours of sleep at night with fluffy I just nothing has changed so we go to we got to ride the pirat stream because I pay for ESPN plus but it’s blacked out because the capitals but the Direct TV channel that has the capitals I don’t pay for Center Ice anymore because I pay for ESPN plus so they need to win this game and the end of the last recap I’m like relax it’s cool don’t worry don’t worry and then I looked at the standings this morning in the Stream and the freaking Sabers are two points behind us what in the freaking hell are we doing come on now so so that’s it we got Washington we got Toronto we got the canes and we canes we canes I want eight points not five not six I want eight out of MF and eight points that’s what I want and some sleep Spencer Knight’s in he actually is going to allow Samus kevich to stay on the ice even though we lost the game so he might be growing a brain he being Paul Maurice I think NOK is back in I think uh Schmid is back in so that’s good not like it was their fault but enough of this wi wi come on it’s a freaking capitals not that they’re bad don’t get me wrong I’m not saying the capitals are bad but I don’t really feel like bitching anymore after this the rest of the video I want to be happy and jolly like Santa Claus oh by the way I get a free turkey I didn’t even know it I bitching complained so much about how much money I got to spend at the grocery store apparently if you have spent $400 in the last three weeks they give you a free turkey so that’s good Pal’s going to be at his mom’s tomorrow night so I’m going to paint and cook a turkey yeah hopefully get a nap all right I want two freaking [Music] points all right so it’s one one after one we almost got out of that period we had a nice beautiful goal from Mika and then kulakov lost this man in front and Washington tied it up and uh how can I put this I just finished lifting so I’m breathing heavy we’re we’re short one defenseman I keep saying it and I just I don’t understand the way that this defense has been performing and not just the defenseman but the forwards too there just I don’t I don’t we don’t suddenly suck at defense but there’s too many breakdowns too many one-on-one breakdowns where guys are just losing their man and and you know the opponents are just being able to sneak in back door or or or get ahead it just it’s so it’s so frustrating because you like with if it’s Mika or it’s kolov I mean it’s the same guys we know what they’re capable of and I’m sick and tired of lifting weights in the first period let’s move on in a second period [Music] still 1 after two I’m not allowed to praise the go tender during the game but if I was allowed to praise the goenda praise the goal tender we’ll just we’ll just put it that way it took us a while now the last five minutes of the period we actually got a bunch of shots but I believe with I mean there was like 7 minutes left in the period in the second period before we finally got our 10th shot we’ve had three power plays now this is this is some heavy duty math here so pay attention Panthers have had three power plays so far and in those three power plays we have a combined two shots so when I if we blame the defense for what happened in Colorado what what about now now I know there’s another team on the ice Washington’s playing good and everything like that but just we it’s just not we’re just not just fill in the blank the Panthers are not and you could write in whatever you want after that not and you would probably be right it’s not like they’re playing terrible there’s effort but it’s just easy like a Sunday morning yeah all right let’s move on a third period if if if we don’t get two points I’m going to be I’m going to frisbee this sign [Music] so no matter what I stand here and do either people are going to say I’m overreacting or I should be overreacting so I’m just going to do what I do and H I’m not going to say they’re cooked right now they are cooked cooked and what I mean by cooked is that just L they’re listless there’s no emotion remember Veri scored the other day gets the first goal finally gets a goal he didn’t even smile nothing nothing there’s there’s there’s no energy whatsoever at all from anybody on this team right now now one player I will excuse tonight is Spencer Knight who plays his ass off play a spectacular game and honestly if Maurice still has one coone left Knight should play against the Leafs especially when you consider we got the back to back coming up against the canes there’s no reason in the world not to throw spener KN back out there absolutely not because the only difference between tonight in Colorado and the six goals that they got against us and the two that Spencer Knight gave up tonight is goal in especially in the third period how do we come out how do we come out and play just an absolute dog [ __ ] through period like that now all right so let’s let’s let’s look at it let’s look at it at one hand over here we’re not going to win the Cup every year we’re not going to win the conference every year my back is itching So eventually at some point we were going to not be as good as we’ve been but I mean we’re paying kachuck $95 million to be invisible Bennett right now I mean he ain’t earning himself some big contract to tell you that ver hey is I mean we’re now 22 games in it’s bad it’s bad Rodriguez is okay reinhardt’s point streak ended tonight can’t complain about him londelle looked really good feeling in for barkoff and it’s just been quiet since then Luc the ran right now is just a guy out there he’s not causing any kind of Chaos for the other you know he’s not fighting for Pucks in the corners and digging it out he’s kind of just giving us nothing samis kevich is really the only guy in the top nine with any legs because he hasn’t played three seasons of or at least two seasons of long long playoff runs like the rest of them have um defensively for orling looks exhausted looks absolutely exhausted out there EG blad is eblad Mika kulakov has not been great during this stretch of time balinskis has tailed off here the last few games I mean it’s getting worse like a few people were saying well you know we lost three or four in a row a couple times last year okay but this is now six out of seven so we’ve almost completely eliminated that seven game winning streak and you know by the time we’re done with the Leafs and a couple games with the canes we could legitimately find ourselves outside of a playoff spot by the end of this week that is not an exaggeration that is a real possibility we could finish thank Thanksgiving week out of a playoff spot now in case you don’t remember that’s the rule right it’s not a guaranteed rule but it’s a rule if you’re not in the playoffs part in Thanksgiving your chances of making the playoffs are significantly reduced now do I think that this team is going to miss the playoffs I can’t stand here and say anymore that I feel like it’s a guarantee that we’re going to make the playoffs these eight teams draal’s getting in Tampa’s probably getting in Boston looks like they’re going to probably swim instead of you know sink or swim looks like they’re going to swim Buffalo I don’t know are they playing tonight they they may tie us for second place after tonight canes are making it devils are making it capitals are making it this team is capable of missing the Playoffs especially if bosski continues to play he h the way he has not that it’s his fault but the point is is did you see what Spencer Knight did tonight that is the level of goal tending we are going to need on a nightly basis to just compete if the rest of the roster is going to continue to play like this every Puck every loose Puck we’re getting beat to it when the other team adds the puck in the offensive zone we are not attacking them we are just backing off and letting them do whatever the hell they want I don’t even know I nobody’s for checking there’s no for checking there’s no hitting we’re constantly and consistently losing our men in front of the net like kulakov did tonight forsling tonight towards the end of the third period there I think was on the power was it on the power play I’m not sure might have been four on four forsling watching the puck Here Comes The Man Behind them back door now you know we made it to the finals and we set out last year to get all the way back into WI and we did we almost didn’t right okay we almost didn’t and this losing streak I’ll say it again this losing streak looks very similar to games four five and six against the Oilers like duplicates so the very real possibility is is that we ran out of gas after winning the first three games against the Oilers last year and whatever a little bit of fumes we had left we used in game seven to avoid becoming an absolute joke we got our cup and we’re just the other teams are too good for us to just Coast all the way through the season and make the playoffs this is not as much of a guarantee as you would like to think when Tampa was doing it they had vasileski just knocking out of the park a lot of nights B brosi is not knocking it out of the park Spencer Knight’s playing well Spencer Knight’s playing well I there should be no reason at all for Knight not to start against the leaps and you know Leisa looking to build on their lead in first place I mean me personally if Toronto wants to win first place and Boston could get the four seed okay I’ll play Tampa again in the first round I don’t look I I don’t think we’re going to be Tampa but we got to make the playoffs the the playing the coasting and resting until the playoffs that’s over now you can lose a couple of games a couple games here and there but there’s other teams that are good there teams that are sick and freaking tired of us running the conference I mean the freaking Sabers so we can talk all we want about we needed defenseman and everything like that but with the effort level that’s out there and I and I’m not saying it’s bad we do turn it on here and there but the way that this system is designed you have to have longer spurts of consistent effort and you have to be correct on defense and we have not been now I know we only gave up two goals tonight one of them was kulakov losing his man in front but if it wasn’t for some ridiculous Saves by Spencer Knight it easily would have been for one before that net was empty which I mean why empty the net Paul we had three power plays and two shots why empty the net it just now everything is going wrong we’re also not getting the breaks we’re not getting the balances we’re also not even matching the other team’s physicality Tom Wilson was out there just playing everybody he came within contact he just was knocking guys on their ass all night long G retaliates one time and when they get a power play nobody else is doing anything I saw Chucky try to lay one of his ass hits behind the net he missed Bennett’s not hitting anybody Greer has pretty much been invisible since the first week no sick is just a guy out there and you start adding up the losses and we had a hope that CU Zito is is kind of you know magic right but he’s not perfect and finances being what they are we had to go digging in I wouldn’t say the garbage bin I don’t want to say that about Nate Schmidt but you know you start looking at the losses over the last two years and you look at the toughness that we don’t have gutus lomber cousins oo mour that’s a lot of juice that we lost between guys that were tough and aggressive and two defensemen that were capable of playing a highly offensive style when we needed a little jolt how many times did oel or even Montour although not as much last year but how many times did either one of those guys when we really needed some juice you know rush into the Zone make a shot make something happen nobody’s doing that right now and forsling is playing like 50 minutes a night and it shows so I don’t think at this point we have the luxury I mean we’re just the fans so we could say what the H what we want but the whole there’s they’re they’re coasting until the playoffs that’s that’s now over they they they’ve lost that luxury right now now if they go on another tear for a month and win 13 of the next 15 or something like that they can probably put themselves back into a position where they could you know dial it down a little bit but if they continue to play at this level for much longer we’re going to hit Christmas for six points out of the eight seed and that’s just the way it is and this team is not going to have the energy like they did Maurice’s first season to come back and do anything about it I mean they all just they’re just all cooked kachuck is a shell of himself even barkov out barkov couldn’t even stop the dude from from getting the empty net there it’s just not there for any of them at all the only guy in the top nine with any legs really to speak of is Sam Mage and ask yourself why that is defensively you can see it forsling is just wiped out he’s wiped Mika and kulakov are not these guys are just wiped out so not giving up on the season of course I’m not but like I’ve been saying eventually we were going to not win the Eastern Conference you know like it happens fast just as fast as it happened where we were like can we win a Playoff round to the next thing we know we’re in the finals two years in a row the the reverse is true the flip side happens just as fast where one day you winning the cup and then the next day you’re kind of like oh crap we lost a bunch of guys and we might just be a little bit above mediocre and it’s it’s everything it’s not just one thing the guys are clearly exhausted and you might count barosi in that as well because of the two goenda right now do I think Bob is done for a career excuse me no but right now the the two guys that look like they are are ready to go for the most part samon scavage Spencer Knight cuz they’re not cooked from two long playoff runs that’s just the way it is so this has gone on a little bit further than I thought it would have gone on now maybe Maurice has kind of had the same attitude that I’ve had it’s just he’s like waiting for them to to turn it on but he knows his team I don’t know what he can do I don’t I don’t know if he can back off of them and practice or give them some days off of and we we look cooked and now we still have what three games in four days we got tomorrow off but you know Wednesday Friday Saturday and all that travel Friday S I mean it’s just brutal Thanksgiving on Thursday home 3:00 in the afternoon is it 3 on Friday and then 4:00 in Carolina on Saturday that’s just disgusting and if we lay if we continue to put that complete effort out there on the ice we’re going to be out of a playoff spot by the end of those three games if we lose those three games if we only get one point maybe only two points we are probably going to be out of a playoff spot that’s what we’ve done so while I’m not going to say I’m panicking what’s there to panic about right what’s there to panic about would we be better off missing the playoffs and just letting the guys go to sleep for the extra month maybe maybe I’m not saying I don’t want to make the playoffs Lord knows I want to make the playoffs cuz the only way I pay my bills to three months that there’s no hockey is the [Laughter] playoffs but this was going to happen at some point it’s it’s a lot guys you know you know how I kept saying you know losing both dogs and a girlfriend was a lot in four months I mean Gus mtor oo lomberg cousins stenin I mean I could you know stall was a good contributor to us is anybody on that fourth line right now contributing the way even Eric stall did no no they’re not no sick and Greer right now they just kind of like they’re just bodies and a panther uniform and that’s just the truth of it doesn’t mean they’re bad but so that’s that that’s where we are right now I don’t know what button Maurice is going to press I don’t know that yelling and screaming at these guys is really going to do much right now I think he’s been hoping that they would pull themselves out of it you lose the Chicago game just like we’ve lost six out of seven now if we could have only lost five out of seven you get the two points against Chicago at least give yourself a little bit of a life jacket there but right now the team is just completely drowning and they don’t have a life jacket I don’t know what button Maurice needs to press the only thing for me that I can think that he would need to do and by need I mean I mean just just to throw something up against the wall would be to start Spencer Knight again and just completely obliterate the lines completely obliterate the lines I’m talking like barkoff londell samoskevich is the first line lcer ring kachuck and Rodriguez is the second line I mean I’m just throwing names out there anything that would be different at all is is really the only move that I can think of right now so that all of the energy is forced to be changed change the defensive pairs could could Forest Ling balinskis possibly be any worse than forcing eblad not that egl was bad but we’ve lost six out of seven you can always put the stuff back the way you had it but that’s what I would do if I was Maurice I would start Spencer night and I would just all of the lines all of just completely throw him away and forget who has ever played with who forget who’s supposed to be one C 2C 3C throw all that in the garbage can even if it’s just for a couple of games and just anything bark off londell samusev make Reinhardt play center since he hates playing Center so much Reinhardt would you know Greer and and I wish I could say cousins or lomberg we’ve lost a lot oh so that’s what it is Panther fans start start getting used to it and what I mean is that you know it it doesn’t look real positive for this team making a whole another playoff run and winning a cup two times in a row I’m not saying it’s impossible but I don’t know how you go from a team that looks this devoid of energy in November and they suddenly have enough energy to have a thre Monon run three month well playoff start in April May June yeah I guess two and a half months whatever it is I don’t know how you do that adding one defenseman isn’t is that not with the way they’re playing it’s not going to make a difference damn it I know we all were kind of hoping that we’re going to do it again but right now I think I think they need to make the playoffs we we I mean Vegas last year right they won the Cup last year they just squeak in at the e seed at the end and lose in the first round and that kind of looks like what is fixing to happen to us so and that’s okay that’s okay doesn’t mean the team is bad doesn’t mean they suck um just means they’re human and they’re like I said in the last recap just means like they’re like every other NHL team in the salary cap era got won a cup or went to the finals twice in a row that’s that all right so I will be live noon tomorrow for your therapy session I got to get some sleep so hopefully after that I can take a nap and then there’s no game Tuesday well we play Wednesday right so yeah I’ll be I’ll be live noon hell I’ll even go live noon on Thursday on Thanksgiving what the hell so damn it we started off pretty good and look maybe they surprised us all but I’m I’m a little bit more concerned about it now because you know the Jets the Jets the Blackhawks was a stinker right but then you thinking okay we’re coming home we got the Avalanche we got the capitals let’s let’s let’s get moving let’s get the legs going and everything and that third period that we just put on the out there on the ice was garbage there’s no legs they’re not skating they’re coasting everywhere ah going to be a long season like this they have to find a way either either I mean I don’t want to say give up on a season in nov nober but if this is what they’re going to do just go to sleep just just just call the vet put them out of their misery for this year and reincarnate for next year with some rest because what they’re doing now ain’t going to they’re not making the playoffs playing like this forget about cups in first rounds they will not make the playoffs if they do not fix this energy problem that they have and I don’t know how you fix it in the middle of the season they’re mentally tapped out you can see it on the bench even Maurice I’ve talked about this even Maurice the referees right now could call the Panthers for two penalties at the same time two for farting and two for picking their nose and the camera shows that nobody farted and nobody picked their nose and Maurice would just stand there on the bench you go out nothing nothing nothing from anybody damn it all right I bitching complain enough you guys like the longer ones anyway for some for some reason the longer ones get better views so is what it is okay so we’ll come back on Wednesday and we’ll beat the Leafs right we’ll show the league that we’re not dead yet all right no points again
