a half Point favorite on the neutral floor here Duke off the win Friday night against Arizona we know Kansas already has a a win in a home game at fog Allen they already have a win on the neutral floor against Michigan State oh now play Duke on a neutral floor as well Matt Cox begin the discussion thoughts on Kansas and Duke the line and the total yeah I mean this is where the the AP pole haters certainly are pointing toward the the squareness of that you have the number 11 team Duke laying three to the number one overall team I think those of us who who do this for living Jeff would agree Duke’s probably the better team right now the their defensive effort at Arizona was what really stuck out there I think that’s the difference that makes this team uh Elite unlike The Fringe Elite versions we’ve seen the last couple of Seasons right we saw signs but they didn’t really you know they weren’t there from start to finish I think this version because of how good they are defensively how long they are up front the addition of cion James in the perimeter is like a you know a crazy good Defender he’s bringing some tenacity that this team’s really missed the last few seasons Duke’s guards have been sort of soft the last couple of years so I think there’s a new element there that’s going to really propel them to me they’re the right side but I worry about the spot I me it’s just such a big win to go into male and to dominate a really good Arizona team maybe they’re not as good as we thought but that’s a whole other conversation so I I worry that we’re not getting an A+ effort game for Duke especially against Kansas who’s had a week off to prepare you know they they they come out after some kind of slow sluggish mid- major efforts I I I do think the spot isn’t the best for Duke but if you just a believer in you know who’s the better team if is there value I I think Duke is the right play here I just didn’t lay it again neutral sight game unless I have a ton of value or a ton of confidence or conviction I tend to just sit back and put my feet up and watch obviously Cooper flag getting a lot of the attention but so too deservedly so Hunter Dickinson Dewan Harris from Kansas all right Jeff again heavyweight type Showdown we love these even in November thoughts on this uh including how many times are you going to get Kansas on like a neutral floor getting three and a half very interesting any any uh angles that strike you Jeff I I’ve mentioned I mean I love Duke I I I think obious absolutely outside of Auburn they’re the best team in the country and and I I think in this game I agree with Matt I think it is a tough spot uh I thought Duke was in a really good spot against Arizona this isn’t a particularly strong one here and you know you know there are a few things that I noticed kind of in the media about this one thing we can all probably agree with and I’m sure Matt you would agree KJ Adams is a top level Defender that’s something that at the next level he’s going to be very good with as far as being a switchable guy he can deal with Cooper flag here um now now when I look at this game for Duke we know they’re not the deepest team in the world uh we know they also Kansas filter a lot of things through Mr Dickinson down low who’s what 34 years old at this point um we know that he can move out and hit St on the perimeter this sudin kid malow he’s very important in this game if he can stay in the game um you know Duke’s going to have a good opportunity to win he’s a very important player in this game if if I told you he was you probably wouldn’t believe me because KH and up coopa flag are so good and Proctor but malow is their biggest kid um he’s given them around 10 points a game his block rate is top 50 I believe um been a good rebounder he needs to be in this game if he fouls out or or gets fouls early it could be game over I think there’s more pass to me to see Kansas than Duke but it’s a great game won’t be a game I’m wagering on I just want to see what both these teams look like against really good competition I lean Kansas though uh interesting a couple people in the chat are asking about the setting this is not uh the Raiders stadium this is theob yep T-Mobile Arena where the Vegas Knights play hockey and also the Las Vegas Aces have played WNBA games they’ve had other basketball tournaments in there it’s an arena that they’re playing in and it’s going to be full and it’s going to be crazy for Kansas and Duke what about that comment too is Duke a little too much relling on Cooper flag right now for their offense what do you guys make of that Matt Cox or Jeff make of that he’s the best player in the country I mean he’s going to take a lot of their shots he’s you know that I mean was Allen Iverson to were they too relying on him when he was on the Sixers I mean that’s what good players do they they want the basketball um I’m never going to say that someone’s too reliant everyone’s Reliant um you know Kansas isn’t going to be the same team without Dickinson you know Auburn’s not gonna be the same team without Janai broom um flag’s best player in the country and I don’t care if he takes every shot he’s such a good passer too that’s what makes him like he’s not a you’re not relying on him to score that’s what makes him so great is he’s a great distributor and and I think it actually takes a lot of pressure off those guards that Duke’s balance I don’t have any worry about them being uh too one dimensional offensively and again that game will be tonight at 9 Eastern 6 Pacific made for TV yeah go ahead one thing that is an interesting point about that point the guy just made about you know are they too riing one thing I noticed about like a Memphis right they have so many kids that stepped up Dayton had kids step up yesterday in a losing effort a lot of these teams that we’ve seen have multiple pieces I believe Duke has them but again we are dealing with flag he is the the number one guy so of course he’s going to be more kind of focused on but they they do need everyone to step up in this type of game because Kansas has many kids that will in the game on ESPN Tonight six Pacific time nine eastern time for Duke and Kansas one [Music]
